Fastethernet hardware status down
I have a 1400 Bridge connected to 1300 AP using 2940 switch. Things were working fine. When I reveiwed the IOS the fastethernet hardware status was DOWN. What some things to resolve this and bring back UP?
WHICH Fastethernet port is down (AP, Switch, or Bridge)?
Check the cabling, check the power injector / brick, try doing a shut / no shut on the affected interface, try another port of the switch (for both bridge and AP) ...
Some details would help a lot
Let us know

Monitoring Hardware Status HP ESXi with HP SIM, Get information by SNMP
Hi.
Check out to tring this steps http://h30507.www3.hp.com/t5/Technical-Support-Services-Blog/6-Simple-Steps-to-Monitoring-ESXi-with-...
It's ok, I having health hardware status for the server in the HP SIM 7.3 by wbem with Custom HP Image ESXi 5.5 onboard by wbem .
Did any solution to get health status from hp server ESXi or from HP SIM 7.3 by SNMP to another monitoring software?Have now solved it myself:
1) Create system restore point
2) Uninstall mobile broadband driver and centrino ultimate-N in device manager, but keep files
3) Reboot
4) Lenovo access connections automatically connects to mobile broadband. It's then just a matter of going in there and connecting to wifi also.
Everything is working beautifully now, and switching between wifi and mobile automatically. I think it was just corrupted TCP/IP settings in one or both adaptors.

moreover, total packet received doesn't increase.
how do i solve it?

Monitoring CAN hardware status.
I am trying to display the status of each CAN (network and frame) object that I have configured in a C++ application. We are required to support both Series 1 and Series 2 cards.
I tried to extract the status from the NC_ATTR_STATE attribute. It displays the correct state most of the time. Unfortunately, the returned state does not seem to be returning consistent values. I have two CAN channels connected with terminating resistors. I start transmitting on both channels. I disconnect the cable. The state that is returned is mostly 0x20 (NC_ST_WARNING) but occasionally the state 0x02 NC_ST_WRITE_SUCCESS is returned. How can a write be successful if there is no communication?
Is there any other way to monitor the hardware status that works on both Series 1 and Series 2 cards?
Thanks in advance.Hi scottw,
take a look a the description of the desired state: NC_ST_WRITE_SUCCESS
"When communication starts, the NC_ST_WRITE_SUCCESS state is true by default."
and
"The state is set when the last frame in the write queue is transmitted successfully. The state is cleared when a write function is called."
Thus, you could see a NC_ST_WRITE_SUCCESS state, even though there is/was no communication.

1300 Bridge fa0 port status down
I have a remote 1300 bridge whose fa0 port consistently goes down after working well for over a week. It shows the port as admin up but line status down - no carrier. It plugs directly into a 1200 ap. I have tried to hard code the speed and duplex but the option to hard code the speed is not available. Any ideas?
Hi
yes the console port on the power injector is is console port for the AP. probably the best way to recover the bridge is to connect the 1310 to a laptops etherernet port and use the console port to learn the IP of the 1310 then manage the 1310 with the GUI it can be done with the CLI but if you have not done a wireless bridge before stick with the GUI. Both 1310's need to be on the same subnet, this is for management not for bridging. the bridging is at level 2 unless you use VLANS but with the routers that should not be an issue. once you have configured the Root router save the config and use it to to congigure the non-root router changing the IP address and the role to Non Root. plug the network cables into the the apropriate router ports and you should be set.
this is assuming you know the userid/passwords for the AP's the default was Cisco/Cisco.
if the antennas are alinged your bridge should be reliable.
based on the signal level between the AP's i would disable the B data rates use the G data rates and possibley disable the higher data rates if the radio stats show to many retrys, mor than 10%.

Dear all,
I am facing strange problem with 6500 IDS module.Management port of IDSM is up and Data port 2 Operational Mode: down. When i check traffic on this port it is one way only.I can able to ping IDSM management IP but when i try to telnet it given only banner after that it hang.
Will i need to reset IDS module to solve this problem. Is there any other way to solve this problem.
THanks & Regards
SAMThanks for your reply,
Actually we did not make any changes in configuration. This is working configuration. We can able to ping IDS IP , but when try to telnet i got banner of IDS but does not allow me to give any commands.
I am little bit confused about data port of IDS.Operation mode of IDSM is down.

Cisco Wireless AP radio interface shutdown/Operation Status Down
Hi,
I am trying to troubleshoot the cause of the wireless AP 1142 radio shutdown; I was wondering where may be a good place to start on it/possibility of the radio shutting down. Once the radio is shown as down; I would just need to re-enable (disable/enable) it and the status changes to up status. I have attached a screen catpure of the radio interface showning down.
The AP radios shutting down is intermittent; some APs has their "A/N" radio interface shutdown while others has their "G/N" radio interface shutdown. Not too sure what may most likely be causing it to shutdown?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks.Do you have controller ?? if yes then posts out put of sh sysinfo commad.
Paste the output of sh version command from AP.
Also check:
1. Choose Wireless > 802.11a/n or 802.11b/g/n > Network
Select the 802.11a (or 802.11b/g) Network Status check box to enable the 802.11a or 802.11b/g band.
2. Wireless > Access Points > All APs then click on specific AP and make sure admin status is enable.

Single Sign-On:orasso Status Down After Enabling SSL
The status of Single Sign-On:orasso is listed as down in Enterprise Manager after enabling SSL. The same problem existed in with the Portal component, but this was fixed by adding a certificate to the certdb.txt file and by changing some URLs in the targets.xml file.
Does anyone know how to correct this issue with Enterprise Manager? It has no effect on the behavior of our application, but it is causing problems with administration because some people use the Enterprise Manager console to monintor the state of our environment.Hi,
Did U try this the following steps;
When the configuration is finished, take the following steps:
1.
In the Application Server Control Console Confirmation page, click OK. The Application Server Home page appears.
2.
If you did not have an OC4J_SECURITY instance before, you will have one now. The OC4J_SECURITY instance will have a status of Down. You will also have a Single Sign-On:orasso instance with a status of Down. Select the check box next to OC4J_SECURITY and click Start.
Note: You cannot start the Single Sign-On:orasso instance. This feature is started and stopped when you start and stop HTTP_Server and OC4J_SECURITY.
3.
When the operation completes, verify that OC4J_SECURITY has a status of Up.
Note: The Single Sign-On:orasso status may be displayed as Down. This is normal. The status should be updated approximately five minutes after configuration.
4.
Select HTTP_Server and click Restart.
5.
Verify that you can access OracleAS Single Sign-On at the following URL:
http://hostname.domain:port/pls/orasso
In the URL, hostname.domain is the host on which OracleAS Single Sign-On is installed and port is the Infrastructure HTTP Server port.
You can log in as orcladmin with the orcladmin password.
Also try to check Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On Administrator's Guide
Hear from U & regards,

Portal status DOWN on EM but details show UP?
Hi,
I just installed 9iAS v2 (9.0.2.0.1) and used all default configuration. Infrastructure and mid_tier are installed on seperate unix box. Right after the installation all components are show status UP except unified message (down) and discoverer (? mark).
After I made change to ORACLE_HOME/reports/conf/rwservelet.properties and rep_reports.conf files (following Note 210224.1) AND re started all on the mid_tier (follow note 200475.1), the status of portal:7777 on EM is DOWN, but the deails shows (click on the poratl link ) UP.
other info on this detailed page are:
left side:
monitoring down
database (on infrastructure) down (I can login scott/tiger@discodemo)
on right side:
mod_plsql_services down
parallel_page_engine_services down
syndication_server down
Does anybody knows what these means and how can I fix it ?
ThanksHappens all of the time. Bottom line is that the portal is up and running (assuming you can access it via /pls/portal). Oracle says this is due to underlying network issues, but I've seen this on every install I've done. I have noticed if you drill down further into the portal instance and then return to the main instance page, EM will show that it is up.
Sure it is a bug... -
Hi All,
When we tried connecting ap, its registering to the WLC 5508 with version 7.6.120.0. But it shows operational status as DOWN in WLC and blinking in red, green continuously. If i admin disable it, then it is coming UP and instantly goes DOWN.
Any Suggestion.see whether you have correct country code configured on your WLC & connected AP is in the right regulatory domain.

Post the AP console output to see what's exactly happening.

HI,
I recently bought a Cisco 2504 Wireless Controller and a couple of access points (Cisco 1600 Series). Initially the controller had the 7.0.x.x firmware and from what i read on Cisco website it seems that this version is incompatible with my access points, so I updated the firmware on the controller to the latest version (7.4.110.0.). The access points were intially autonomous, so I installed the latest conversion to lightweight iOS image (ap1g2-rcvk9w8-tar.152-4.JA1). All work beautiful and I was happy until i discovered that after the acces points succesfully join the controller the radio interfaces won't come up. On the controller i get the following messages:

I must metion that all settings on the controller are fine (the access points interfaces are set to enable), but they just don't want to come up. I'm completely baffled by this problem and I don't know what to do next ? Can someone explain what's happeining ?
PS: The access point are powered by their standard AC-DC power supply (not over PoE).Thanks for replies! One of the first thing that I did was to configure a NTP server, so the controller is time synchronized. Aslo I manually enable each radio interface.

Why 12C Grid Control shows Target status down/Unavailable?
Hello,
The grid control 12.0.2 on Oracle Linux 5.9 shows that status of target /EMGC_GCDomain/GCDomain/EMGC_ADMINSERVER as down where as it is up and running and I can log into admin console.
Please note that repository, OMS, weblogic all components are on same server.
It is also showing that following are unreachable where as these are up on same server
EM Website System
Management Services and Repository
How can I diagnose and fix this? Where to start?
Thanks.Have you checked the agent status with emctl status agent? Is the OMS available there and when was the last upload time?
You can also try emctl upload agent and see if this helps.
Is the dbsnmp account unlocked with correct password in the target database?
