Fastidioso problema 3G GPRS Vodafone

Access Point Settings - I'm using a preset one called Contract WAP - it allows me to browse the internet and switches between 3G and GPRS, but just hangs when trying to access pop mail server. the Contract Wap setting is "locked" and I can't see it's settings let alone edit them.

  • PROBLEM: Plugging a Vodafone booster into the BT H...

Hi - I've been having problems with my Vodafone mobile signal at home of late and they (Vodafone) sent me a booster which plugs into the back of my BT hub wireless router.  The problem is that it doesn't seem to work.  Is there a way to authorise the booster to work with the hub, as it's clearly rejecting the Vodafone booster. Anyone got any thoughts on that?

I don't have Infinity (came on this forum to understand why not) but I do have a Vodfaone Sure Signal.
How long have you had it plugged in to the router? When i set mine up on a standard ADSL line it took quite a long time I seem to recall 3-5 hours before the system initiated and so I would suggest leaving it connected overnight then checking again.
If you have already done this I suggest contacting vodafone its there equipment and I think they would know if there are compatibility problems.
Also the vodafone forum may have more experience if you haven't tried that already.
    Good luck

  • HT201328 IPHONE 4 UNLOCKING PROBLEM ORANGE TO VODAFONE NETWORK

    Hi
My problem is I had finished my contract of 24 months with orange/EE & payed £20.42 to wait for a confirmation email that did arrive after 2 weeks with unlocking process via iTunes.
So I wanted it unlocked so it could be used with a Vodafone microsim as a gift to my  dad so I bought a new Vodafone micro sim because I had to order a new microsim with all my dads details on it &  I did what the orange email said in steps but I (never got a congratulations your iPhone is unlocked) message but I noticed it did say Vodafone uk network on top left of the iPhone 4 screen.
But the Vodafone microsim was not the number I wanted as Vodafone had to change all the details from a standard size sim to a new micro with all my dads details as he wanted to keep the same mobile number so seeming that it was showing the Vodafone network signal & all working I finally received my dads  new Vodafone microsim with all his details etc that was on the standard sim that was in my dads old phone but when I ejected the Vodafone microsim that was working  I bought that was brand new & like I stated was working on the iPhone 4 & swapped it for my dads new micro Vodafone sim All I get is "NO SERVICE" So I went through the exact same steps on the email for unlocking my orange locked iPhone 4 again  as I did with the first voda sim but I get " No service ". I'm sorry to bother you guys especially XMAS day but its a gift for my father today as it's his Vodafone number he wants to keep on the sim they sent so I phoned Vodafone & they said the sim needs activating & could take 30 mins to 24 hours. But it's been over 24 hours & Ive turned the iPhone 4 on & off but still no service plus I reset network settings & rebooted the iPhone a few times
It must be unlocked because  the first Vodafone microsim that I bought new recently  worked but its strange & extremely  frustrating that my dads new Vodafone microsim still says. "NO SERVICE"?
Would you be kind enough to help me if you have any idea what I've done wrong or is there anything else I'm supposed to do or could do to get this other new Vodafone Sim working. Sorry to bother you guys but you seemed to know a lot about unlocking so i thought I'd ask you. If you can help in anyway I'd be so very very grateful as I'm running out of time
    THANKYOU
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
    Sent from my iPhone 5s

Nothing to do with Apple what so ever
Only the carrier ,in this case Vodafone can authorise the unlocking of the iPhone
The IMEI is the vehicle not the  phone number
However to allow approval Vodafone probably  need to be able to
see the IMEI active on their network
You could consider buying a PAYG sim become a customer active and on
their network and then try a new request

  • Problem using Gprs in nokia 603

i am facing alot of problem while using internet on my nokia 603.it takes me hours to connect even sometime whole day long. The message that shows up is '' connection failed,'' or ''connection unavailable''..called my service provider n install settings many times but its the problem with my cel..if anybody could help me out???

    hi mate,
have you checked another SIM card on your device to see if that works, even from another provider? also if your SIM appears in old condition, then it may be a good idea to get a new SIM from your network carrier and try that. failing that, check via Nokia Suite to see if there are any firmware updates available for your device, if there are any, please update to the latest version offered. failing that, try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite.
failing the above, you will need to take your phone to Nokia care: http://nokia.com/support

  • Problems with Vodafone/Huawei E220 wireless usb Modem

    Hi there,
My faithful Powerbook is having issues with a company issued Vodafone Vodem (Huawei E220 wireless HSDPA 3G USB modem).
It worked well at first, but then after restarting, waking from sleep or rebooting from off, the Vodem would cease to connect to Vodafone, with the Vodafone Modem Software giving me a cryptic message "No modem or data card attached".
Yesterday, I tried reinstalling and uninstalling the software, and after several installation/uninstallations, it finally reconnected. It has since stopped working again since shutting down the Powerbook overnight. Reinstalling has not yet worked.
I read somewhere on the net that leaving the modem plugged in for a minute before attempting to connect might work - alas no such luck.
Has anyone else out there had problems with their Vodafone/Huawei E220 USB wireless modem, and how did you resolve the problem?
I have tried both the New Zealand 2.07 version, plus the European 2.08 version of the Vodafone connectivity software.
    I am running a Powerbook 15", 1.67ghz, MacOS 10.4.11, 512MB, no other peripherals connected.

No experience, but what happens if you log out then back in?
Does a New User have that problem?

  • N73 and Vodafone live!

We have just taken delivery of a brand new SIM free N70 and N73.
Both came pre-configured for GPRS with 4 access point options: Vodafone Internet GPRS; Vodafone live!; Vodafone live!streaming; Vodafone MMS.
On selecting Vodafone live on the N70, the handset connects to Vodafone live! and displays content no problem.
On selecting Vodafone live! on the N70, the handset displays 'Connecting via Vodafone live!, and then displays a white page with a progress bar at the top. The progress bar progresses briefly and then an error message is displayed: 'WEB: unsupported content type". The screen remains white with no content.
I have spoken to Vodafone, who have sent me a text message to re-configure my GPRS settings via the Nokia web site. This I have done. I have also switched off the N73 for 20 mins as instructed by Vodafone.
    The problem remains.
Vodafone have now said it is a fault with the handset!
However, I can access the Nokia site via the Vodafone GPRS access point.
The same problem occurs if I choose Vodafone WAP as my access point.
I would be very grateful if some body could shed some light on this issue?Message Edited by william_bell on 10-Aug-2006

    +++ UPDATE 2 +++
On checking the available settings between the N70 & N73 and between the two different access methods on the N73 (web & services) I have noticed some differences...
    N70: Access point/Show images and ob.../Font size/Default encoding/Automatic bookmarks/Screen size/Home page/Search page/Volume/Rendering/Cookies/java-ECMA scripts/Security warnings/Serial No sending/Conf. DTMF sending
    N73 Services: Access point/Home page/Load imgs & sounds/Font size/Default encoding/Auto bookmarks/Screen size/Search page/Rendering/Cookies/java-ECMA scripts/Security warnings/Conf. DTMF sending
    N73 Web: cess point/Home page/Load imgs & sounds/Default encoding/Auto bookmarks/Screen size/Mini map/History list/Cookies/java-ECMA scripts/Security warnings/Block popups
What is most notable is that what appear to be two main settings - Rendering & Conf. DTMF sending - are present in the N70 & N73 Services both of which work; but are not present in the N73 Web, which does not work.
Could this suggest that there may be an error in the Nokia software?

  • Nokia N8 Belle 'Vodafone skype app 'does not work

    Hi
I spoke to vodafone oz, who said that Nokia have not sent belle over to them for testing yet....it's HIGHLY FRUSTATING to upgrade to belle, than not be able to use vodafone's own skype app (so i can get unlimited data very cheaply).....firstly it's a shame vodafone put a wrapper app behind skype in the first place!!! For now I have to just use skype from the ovi store and use my data allowance. Anyhow, will nokia be sending over belle anytime soon to vodafone australia????????? They said until they do and it passes testing, it won't be supported...I wish I had stuck with anna now, which nokia informed me can't be rolled back to. It seems nothing is easy!
    cheers
    Rick

Hi, thanks for the reply...the problem is that vodafone do UNLIMITED skype for $3...but you HAVE to download their skype wrapper program....the ovistore one is not free, as it uses data.....basically vodafone enforce you to use their skype wrapper program to get the unlimited data allocation.
I have the ovistore skype version, but this does not solve my problem. Vodafone are not supporting belle until nokia send them the sofware. They support anna, so thats why the skype wrapper program works with anna, and then you can use the unlinited $3 package.
Basicall for belle, when you choose skype for vodafone it says "phone not supported"
if you use anna, it says "phone supported" and  vodafone skype program can be downloaded
is nobody else getting annoyed by this???????
    cheers

  • Problem with 3G

I would like to make sure my 3G and roaming is off. My blackberry curve currently has 3G in the right top corner of the screen, but after, what I thought was turning all roaming off, there is also a red triangle next to the 02 sign in the middle of the screen. Can you let me know if this certainly means all roaming and 3G is off, even though I can still see the sign for it?

Hey I'm having a problem with my 3G too? I recently bought a blackberry off of someone on ebay, I am on the vodaphone freedom freebee and I have 250MB of internet and it sometimes says 3G or edge or whatever next to the signal bars, but it won't connect to the internet? I can connect to wifi easily and it works fine but the two problems with my vodafone payg bb curve 9300 is that and the fact the BBM refuses to work, the first time I went on it when setting up my new toy, it came up and allowed me to put in my BBM details as this isn't my first BlackBerry and it just says "setting up BBM" and it will say that for a long period of time and then it just goes blank, same background just the message is gone? I've tried turning the BB off and on again, I've tried rebooting it by taking the battery out, deleting and reinstalling the app off of BBworld and I've looked all over this forum for something that will help me! And I have no idea how to write a forum of my own as, although I am familiar with BlackBerry's I am not familiar with this site, so I appologize for intruding on your thread but I reallt had no other choice, but if someone could please help me? Would be sincerely grateful thank you!!

  • E71x gprs access point not shown in internet desti...

    Hi All,
I am having problems with gprs in my e71x. It used to work fine earlier but now when on using the web browser it just shows wifi under the internet destinations.
I have gprs configured as an accesspoint inside internet destination and it worked great earlier but now for some reason it is no more visible to any apps.
I tried restoring the phone to factory settings, reformatted it and even reflashed the 3.78 firmware but couldn't fix the problem.
    Help!
    Thanks,
    Smt96

    Thanks for the reply.
I had readded the access points after phone reset, so they are available under internet destination but none of the apps are able to see them.
I also saw 3-4 processes listed under panic tab in KillMe application, not sure if being inside panic tab means that the processes crashed, i hope it's not a hardware related problem.

    hi
I'm using a vodem on my Intel mac book and never even use the software vodafone provide as it is clunky, slow and unreliable.
i used it once to set up the connection and from then on have simply connected through system preferences:network: and connect the huawei modem from there. it even gives you the option of having an icon in your top tool bar.
    hope this helps
    cheers

  • Why does my n81 doesn't work properly in Vodafone ...

Why does my n81 doesn't work properly in Vodafone Live?? I can't download....etc

    Hi,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems downloading from Vodafone Live.
If you're able to access the pages of Vodafone Live then the settings in your handset are correct else you wouldn't get that far.
It's possible that there's a problem with your account that’s restricting you from downloading which will need to be looked into. Rather then transferring your account details on the forum would it be possible for you to contact me via email by completing Vodafone Online Contact Forum following the link below.
    https://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatch/Portal/appmanager/vodafone/wrp?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Page_Hel...
Please fill in all the fields and include the code FIT135 to ensure that the email is directed to the forum Team.

What type of GPRS link do you have? The usual speed is
14.4 kB unless you have some newer UMTS systems, so I would expect the
data transmission to be VERY slow in comparison to a normal network
    connection.
