This is a fairly generic error that may have nothing to do with PSA, but
cause problems for PSA.
I would recommend, reinstalling the software to start.

Hello,
I have the following problem: Every time, immediatly after I run Adobe Album SE - it gives me error: c0000005 on address: 39db7b7d, "Photoshop album has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience".
I tryed with versions 3.0 and 3.2, tryed to delete the configuration files, to swith Adobe Reader from version 8 to 7 - and nothing.
Most probably it is not due to a bad configuration files because it gave me this error even when I first started the program.
The computer had QuickTime libraries (not the full QuickTime), wich came with K-Lite mega codec pack, which I uninstalled and then installed "true" QuickTime, can't remember exact version but it surely works with Album because both programs were installed from the same software bundle (that came with one Sony-Ericsson cell phone).
The OS is WinXP SP4 + IE6, enougth ram & disk space are available, cpu is mobile athlon 2400, via chipset with integrated graphics...
Are there any know dependencies between Album SE and other programs/drivers maybe? I think that it is such kind of issue because on other computer it runs flawless.
thanx in advance for your attention

Hi Peter,<br /><br />I'm not aware of any solution for this specific problem however I would suggest you to delete all you Starter Edition application preferences and try re-launching Starter Edition.<br /><br />Preferences are placed under C:\Documents and Settings\<login user name>\Application data\Adobe\Photoshop Album<br /><br />Application data is hidden folder so you might need to modify your windows explorer settigs for viewing this file.<br /><br />Please try and let us know your observations.

i go to plug my phone in to get my photos and get this error message ( c0000005 address b77d)half way threw the application can someone help me understand what this means and what I should do about it
thanks

Hi Robin,
Unfortunately that is a fairly general error that can mean just about
anything. It doesn't actually have much to do with PSA. It doesn't mean
that PSA isn't causing it... just means that the result is unrelated.
To begin with, can you import your images with a different application?
Cheers

• Fatal Error when trying to download from new camera

I have Elements 5.0 with Windows Vista HE.  I've added a new camera (Nikon Coolpix S630).  When I try to download from this camera via USB - first my Adobe Photo Downloader does not open as it does with my other 2 digital cameras when connecting, second - when I open the downloader and choose "get photos" it lists the new "S630" but then gives me a fatal error (c0000005) when I select "Get Photos".  What can I do to try to get this new camera to act like to other cameras for downloading?  (Right now I have to download into Windows Gallery - save to a folder - then open Elements to get photos from folder.)  Thanks for any help!

You should be able to download the 5.0.2 update for running on Vista from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=40&platform=Windows  if you do not already have it installed.

Look at the folder created by the download in to Windows gallery. What types of files are on the camera card ?

why does pse 12 crash when downlading photos with fatal error c94 address 4fb7d2

Not sure what the error message is. Maybe a device conflict relating to camera or card reader.
Try copying the photos to a folder on your hard drive. Then use:

This is what I want you to try. I am assuming that you are in a NTSC area. Correct the following for PAL area if necessary.
Copy your AVCHD Full 1920 x 1080i (I am assuming recorded at 30 frames per second or designated 60 fields per second) with its 5.1 channel sound to your computer hard drive.
As you open Premiere Elements, set the project preset (new project dialog) = NTSC AVCHD Full HD 1080i30 5.1 channel.
Using Premiere Elements' Get Media/Files and Folders, bring the video from the saved hard drive location into the Premiere Elements Media/Timeline.
If you are not 100% sure of the quality in the Edit Mode Monitor, you could:
a. try right clicking the video on the Timeline, selecting Field Options from the pop up list, and then see if checking Reverse Field Dominance improves the quality of what you are seeing in the Monitor....I suggest that because I think that you probably recording to a memory stick.
b. render the Timeline by pressing the Enter key of the computer main keyboard to get the best possible preview of the end product
Assuming that is a "go" and after completing your edits, head over to Create Menus. Do that. But, remember, because you have selected a HD project preset, the only DVD menu templates that will be available to you will be HD ones (and you are heading for a DVD-VIDEO widescreen). But, continue nonetheless. Let us see what it will look like.
After Create Menus, preview the menu buttons and the video there. If OK, continue to Share/Disc/Disc and burn to disc (do not get tempted into burn to folder or fall into ImgBurn just yet). In the burn dialog, set the preset for NTSC_Widescreen Dolby DVD that will give you DVD-VIDEO widescreen 16:9. In that same burn dialog, make sure that you have a check mark next to Fit Content to Available Space. When you have your DVD disc in the DVD burner tray, you will see a Quality area in the burn dialog. It will display values for Space Required and Bitrate. If the Bitrate is less than 8, the quality may be impacted because the program is having a problem fitting your content in the space required.  But, keep moving forward and hit Burn.
Next, play that back on your TV DVD player and see what that looks like. I have gotten some pretty great results taking a AVCHD 1920 x 1080 to DVD-VIDEO 720 x 480 Widescreen playback on TV DVD Player. More details on that later. By the way, Premiere Elements does not offer Dolby Digital 5.1 channel sound for the export, just Dolby Digital Stereo. No Dolby Digital 5.1 channel sound even for BluRay.
I will be watching to see how you do.

Address: 75e32f71
I clicked on the OK button and the downloader closed.
I did a search on this error code (c0000005) and there seems to be a workaround but no solutions, why is this? I ask that because this problem seems to be years and years old, going back to at least 2005 (do the math that is 10 years).
I don't even have the Camera hooked up and I get this error on download.  I redownloaded everything and reinstalled.  I allso saw the AVI issues reported with this proble so i updated Quicktime though without the camera being hooked up when I get this error I didn't expect that to work.  I tried support and they wouldn't help because I bought it in March this year.  Pretty frustrating as I have re-purchased Elements about every 2 years.  I think I might need a new CODEC?   I had this problem on an Earlier version And I seem to remember that being the Fix but this may be something completely different

I finally found that it was missing a picture so the Catalog was "corrupted".  I just deleted the picture and it started working.
I hate Adobe and their total lack of support - thanks for nothing Adobe .  Also get this - they offered me to upgrade to 13.0 ( My 12.0 is only 6 months old  but they still don't support it on errors.  Only install errors!
I have upgrade and repurchase this product 4 times now.  I will find something else next time!

I was referred to this site when I got Fatal Error message Error code c0000005 while trying to upload photos to computer. Someone else asked the same question in this forum, 90 people viewed the question but it was never answered?

It looks to me like it is a problem on your Windows computer not being able to start an application. See the following link to Microsoft Community support (although the specifics of the problem in that case may not be applicable) and also note all of the "Related Content" at the upper right side of that link (and there may be others if you search that forum). http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/the-applicatio n-is-unable-to-start-correctly/bbb9c037-77b3-4fae-93b9-ded70f7f9a17
It may help if you know or can determine which program Windows is trying to open when you upload photos -- there can be many different ones and it can be set by the user. If you are using Windows 7, you may need to check your Autoplay settings. There are some instructions in the following link that may help and that discuss how you can use Windows Explorer to manually transfer the photos: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083

• Error Code c0000005 Address 7c910a19

I've been searching for answers on-line and it appears this has been a problem for YEARS and that frustrates me.  While I have had newer versions of Photoshop Elements I prefered the simplicity of Photoshop Elements 6.0 for home.  I have it installed on my PC running Windows 7 and it works great.  Would recommend it to anyone, and did...
So my friend got it for her computer, and the dang thing will not work.  She is running Windows XP.  It installs, but when I connect her iPhone 4 to download pictures (I wanted to set up Adobe Photochop to do her downloads automatically, as she isn't very computer handy), after it counts the pictures, she gets Error Code c0000005 Address 7c910a19.
We both have iPhones.  I know for absolute certanty that I edit photos on my phone, I have them in e-mails, in texts etc, and I have no problems at my place.  I use the same program on my parents old computers running XP.
I need to get this working on her computer.  I don't want a work around, as she just isn't going to be able to do it, and...a work around shouldn't be necessary.
Please advise.

• IPhone photo downloader Error code: c0000005 Address: 7c910a19

I have seen several posts regarding this error but have yet to see a solution. I cannot download my photos from my iPhone to my computer. Is there a solution for this?

First you want to disable the Photo Downloader so you won't be getting the same fatal error every time you plug in your iphone into your computer. To disable the downloader, find the little camera icon on the bottom right hand side of the Windows taskbar, right click on it, and you should be given the option to disable it.
Next, click on "Start" on Windows task bar, open the "All programs" list, find "Scanner and Camera Wizard" in "Accessories." This program - Scanner and Camera Wizard - will be the default program you use to download photos from iphone to computer. Every time you connect your iphone with your computer, you should be given a dialogue window where you can pick the "Scanner and Camera Wizard" program to download the photos. Once selected, the program will take you through a step-by-step wizard to download the photos. Within the process of downloading, you can select folders or create a new folder for the photos. In my opinion, making a new folder makes it easier to import them altogether into photoshop organizer where I usually do the "Smart Fix" for all the photos.
Once you have the photos downloaded, open up Photoshop's organizer interface, go to "files," and then "Get photos and videos." Here you will select "from files and folders." Locate the folder where the photos are stored, and then import them directly into Photoshop. Now, you should be at where you usually land if the photo downloader was working properly.
There doesn't seem to be a solution to the photo downloader crashing program. I even tried restoring my iphone to factory settting. Nothing worked. But at least there is a way to work around it.

One of my standard answers (which will explain the use of Directory Objects)...
The UTL_FILE_DIR parameter has been deprecated by oracle in favour of direcory objects because of it's security problems.
The correct thing to do is to create a directory object e.g.:
CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY mydir AS 'c:\myfiles';Note: This does not create the directory on the file system. You have to do that yourself and ensure that oracle has permission to read/write to that file system directory.
Then, grant permission to the users who require access e.g....
GRANT READ,WRITE ON DIRECTORY mydir TO myuser; Then use that directory object inside your FOPEN statement e.g.
fh := UTL_FILE.FOPEN('MYDIR', 'myfile.txt', 'r');Note: You MUST specify the directory object name in quotes and in UPPER case for this to work as it is a string that is referring to a database object name which will have been stored in uppercase by default.

• A fatal error has occured while updating your device's software

I have a problem I hope you guys can help me.
Blackberry Model: 8820
Device Software version: 4.5.0.55
Desktop Software version: 4.7.0.37
Carrier: Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte Ltd(https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do)
Everytime I start up my desktop software, it would prompt me that there are newer versions for some of the applications in my blackberry such as my browser, brickbreaker etc. So I followed through their instructions to install these updates. When it reached step 3/11, an error would occur while it say it was trying to turn on my radio
Here's the screenshot of the error:

But I do observed that @ task 1/11, it switched off my radio. @ task 3/11 it tried to switch back on again. thats when the error occured.
when I unplugged my device after the error, I saw that my mobile connection was off and my blackberry had to re-connect again. I do admit that my area has pretty bad reception, but that cant be the problem right?
On top of that, maybe I also like to pop another 2 questions:
1) Why is it I cant set up my email? I followed the instructions here:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/blackberry101/setup.jsp#tab_tab_email
but my setup wizard dont have the option to select "I want to create or add an email address"
I only gives me the option of the enterprise mail
2) I tried to browse to to te blackberry website using my blackberry, but its says my device is not supported. Any way to solve this?
