Fatal error in synchronizing iPhone with outlook! But no error warning!
I just noticed that my calendar on iPhone has several failures compared to my outlook calendar! On May 13th it is the Ascension Day! My iPhone tells me that the Ascension Day is on Wednesday 12th!!!! There are a lot of similar faults such as the Norwegian national day on may 17th. My iPhone tells me that it is on may 16th!!!! I have tried the advanced function in iTunes to let outlook completely remove my iPhone calendar. I have synced the iPhone with a empty calendar and then synced back with the normal calendar. At last. My iPhone synchronizes wrong! Unbelievable! Can somebody help me? The weard thing is that this is just about some of may "whole day" happenings such as special days, birthdays etc. All other appointments is correct!

use windows live (create a windows live Id)... in outlook use the hotmail connector, on iphone use mail setup for hotmail, include contacts and calender. Then all sync seamlessly.
In outlook you will have a separate contact list and a separate calendar - copy your normal contacts and calendar to these. I now use those contacts and calender as my default in outlook.
This same technique works with windows phone also -

No problem with the imac G5 but tower Power PC allows only the initial sync (ie after erasing all contacts and events in my phone and reseting device in bluetooth syst pref and in isync).
For the following syncings I always get the same message.
[K800i] Connection to the phone failed.
Please make sure that your phone is turned on. If this error occurs again, please restart your phone.
Restarting my phone does not help.

Syncing iPhone with Outlook 2007 after hard drive crash.
I recently had a hard drive crash. We were able to retrieve the .pst files for Outlook 2007 and I sync my iPhone with Outlook for contacts, calendar and such for business. The iPhone of course, was not affected. I downloaded iTunes on the new hard drive, and backed up the phone. (I sync music and apps on my husband's laptop.)
Now, in trying to sync, though, I get a lot of nebulous messages that really don't explain what the outcome will be.
Box says:
The information on the iPhone "Susan's iPhone" is synced with another user account. Do you want to sync this iPhone with the information from this user account instead?
(Choices: "Merge Info mergest th einformation on this iPhone with the information from this user account. OR "Replace Info" replaces the information on this iPhone with the information from this user account. )
My best guess would be 'Merge info" but then, will I end up with double everything? I have many hundreds of contacts and years of calendars.
It seems with Apple I'm always cleaning up one mess after another. Today when installing iTunes, it corrupted my Outlook and I had to repair Outlook. So it would be a nightmare to have double of everything on my phone and on my computer.
Does anyone have a clue as to what to expect?On a PC with Windows or with Paralels iTunes 8.2 has an option for Outlook which works with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 (if it works - see my post on a case where it doesn't ...)

Sometimes I have my adresses double or more, sometimes they are deleted.
if you have a windows you can sync it:
1 open itunes
2 connect iphone
3 select iphone and choos informations (infos or info)
4 choose contract sync with and then you have the choice : windows contracts, google, ..., outlook
5 choose outlook and go on
if you have a mac: you cant sync with outlook but it works even good
1 -3 the same like windows
4 choose symbol table contacts
5 go on

I have changed my apple id, and its ok when i sync my Iphone with Itunes, but ON my Iphone still my old apple-ID is there. I can NOT buy things from Itunes or Upgrade anything now, how to fix this?

I used to be able to sync my iphone with itunes, but now when I plug my iphone into my computer it no longer syncs or even shows the device icon. Could this be because I have an old iphone and it's not compatible with the latest version of itunes?

You can transfer iTunes content and photos from one computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first with a warning message provided beforehand indicating this will occur. -
How come iMac can see my iPhone with iPhoto but cannot syncronize it with iTunes? Maybe need an update version? As a matter of fact iTunes version on iMac is a 10.4 and in iPhone I get a 10.6: the iMac is brand new since I just come from a pc. Thanks

Apple says Reminders works with Outlook, but I can't find where the lists are displayed in Office or Outlook once they are synced. Any suggestions?
I'll guess you've already discovered the answer to this, but just in case:
Reminders works with Outlook tasks by syncing with iCloud, or through Exchange. You can't sync iOS Reminders with Outlook Tasks via USB/iTunes (like you can do with Notes, Calendar, Contacts).
So the marketing material on Reminders is a little misleading in that it's not specific enough -- there is no syncing without one of those intermediary systems mentioned above.
On a side note, syncing Tasks/Reminders via iCloud is not very good in my opinion:
Requires that you sync to the cloud, even if you have no other use for storing personal data in the cloud.
Requires that the iCloud Control Panel be installed on your PC (not sure about Mac).
After syncing, you'll find new Calendar and Task groups called "iCloud" have been created in Outlook. The calendar groups appear to be created even if you're only syncing Tasks/Remminders (not sure why).
Reminders are stored in the new group (noted above) called "iCloud" rather than in your default Tasks group. This seems to me to be a sort of "parallel" sync, rather than a true sync with Outlook. There are oter implications of your synced tasks being in the new group that I won't go into here, but you can search the interwebs to learn more.
In my own case, I tried iCloud syncing, decided that I didn't like it for the reasons stated above, and then uninstalled (Control Panel and new Outlook groups) with no apparent ill effects.
Though I don't guarantee you'll have the same results, it might be worth a try to see if it suits your purposes. -
Synchronizing appointments with Outlook
When I synchronize my iPhone with Outlook, the appointments show up on my iPhone with a time 1 hour later than they're supposed to. For instance, an appointment set at 3 PM on Outlook will sync to the iPhone as a 4 PM appointment.
I've gone to Settings -> General -> Date & Time and have it set automatically to "New York" time zone (same as my PC).
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?OK, an update.
it may be only appointments that were updated by people in the "remote" timezone that are wrong, appointments that have not been updated seem OK? -
I tried updating Itunes to the 10.7 version so I could use my iphone with itunes, but at the final installation a message apppears saying Itunes can't be downloaded because of a wrong network resource. Please help!!
Which particular .msi file does the message go on to say cannot be found? (Several different .msi files might be mentioned in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)

Syncing my iPhone with Outlook, in iTunes, only transfers the information from Outlook to my iPhone, not vise versa. How can I configure it to transfer data from my iPhone to Outlook as well?
I had a backup from outlook that I restored to outlook and then used Itunes to sync the Iphone
I had to turn off the ICloud sync

Alternatively, depending on where the data in Outlook is coming from, you could set up your phone to sync to the same account that Outlook is syncing with. For example, my Outlook 2011 and my iPhone both sync to my work Exchange account, so I have that same calendar in both places. -
