  • Connection Error, cannot connect to game server

    I Just updated to iOS 8.1.  When I tried to play WordRoll I got an error message, Connection Error, Cannot connect to game server.
    ave researched some answers and have tried several, log out then soft reset, delete app and reinstall, reset wireless, nothing seems to work.

    I'm not sure. Prior to last Wendesday our net connection was fine, but from Wednesday evening it's been decidedly flakey during the evenings
    Oh & I'm using a HH2 & am on Total Broadband option 3. I've also tried the Leatrix Latency Fix (several months ago) & have turned off the router for several mins (on Thursday evening). I've been able to connect again to the servers this morning (as I did yesterday morning). Here's the pathping (sorry for it being an image, I can't work out how to copy & paste from the dos box & don't really want to copy it out), my HH's saying I'm getting 7,616kps down & 448 kps up, Speedtest.net's saying 6.34Mb/s down & 0.38Mb/s up (now).

  • Help! Getting "Connection error Check connection" when trying to enable HP Web Services on M1536DNF

    Can anyone tell me what I need to do in order to enable HP Web Services on HP LaserJet Pro M1536DNF model?  Everything works fine and shows it's connected to the network but I cannot enable HP Web Services.  It says "Connection error Check connection" I've tried restarting everything; network, printer, computer.  I've also updated firmware to latest version as well.

    Hi snapry,
    Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you are getting an unable to connect message when trying to enable the web services for your Laserjet CP1025nw printer.
    Please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer.  The instructions can be found in the document Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection. There is a Windows section and a Mac section.  In the Windows section you will find the instructions in the sub-section titled “Solution three: Assign the printer a static IP address”. For Mac the applicable sub-section is titled “Solution two: Assign the printer a static IP address”.  When entering the information for the Manual Preferred DNS server please use 8.8.8.8 and for the Alternate Preferred DNS server please use 8.8.4.4.  These are Google’s DNS servers.
    After setting the manual IP address and manual DNS servers, you should have no problems enabling the web services.

    I didn't know enough to answer your question myself, so I visited http://groups.google.com and searched using the following keyword (including quotes):
        "FATAL NI CONNECT ERROR 12203"
    This search returned the following archived USENET post from Sybrand Bakker (I trust this guy ;) ):

       Beq is acronym for bequeath which is a variant of interprocess
       communication. This works locally on the server only.
       If I understand your situation correctly you are not on the server
       12203 unable to connect to destination means sqlnet can't establish low
       level communications to the host.
       You need to setup an ordinary tcp/ip connection.
       Hth,
       Sybrand Bakker, Oracle DBA If you are not on the server, then the above likely explains your problem.

However, ran into this problem now when the database is external. Incase this information helps the software is being run under Linux via Netbeans. The previous testing was performed using Netbeans under Windows.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Unable to connect error while connecting to more than one server in a cluster

              hi,
              I have a weblogic cluster of two servers. The stateless session bean is deployed
              on both these servers as well as the cluster. The weblogic used is 6.0 sp2. I'm
              using a custom router class which redirects the calls to bean's business methods
              in a round-robin fashion to all the servers in the cluster.
              When both the servers (say s1 and s2) are up and running a request comes from
              a servlet deployed on admin server, the request is first sent to s1 which is fulfilled
              but in the same servlet a second call is made to the bean which the custom router
              class directs to s2, but here the exception comes as, unable to connect to JVM
              of the remote server s2.
              Now if I shutdown s1 and retry then, the request is nicely routed to s2 and fulfilled.
              And if s1 is up again and request is sent to it, this time it gives same error
              for the s1.
              So on the whole the admin is able to talk only to one of the servers. why is this
              happening ?
              Here all the three servers s1, s2 and admin server are on different physical machines.
              any pointers ?
              regards,
              Nikhil.

    Opps!

  • DB connect error  (MSSQL connectivity with SAP BI)- Urgent

    Hi all,
    I am trying to connect the MSSQL 2005 Database to the SAP BI system through RAC.During the creation of the source System(DB Connect) it placed an error as
    DIA RSA1 BY G No shared library found for the database with ID SALMSSQL.
    Can someone please let me know how we can comeup with this issue?Where we can download LIB_DBSL.SAR and the process to load it into theDIR_LIBRARY default path as we are using RAC connectivity.This is very important.Please suggest me
    During the process of creation DB connect source system for MSS what we need to fill for the Connection Info option i.e System IP or the IP of Database and which Databasetable
    DB Connection MSSQL
    DBMS MSS
    User Name sa
    DB password /
    Conn. info MSSQL_SERVER= ? MSSQL_DBNAME= ?
    Connection Limit
    Optimum Conns
    Will reward points.
    Thanks
    D

    Hello Dash,
    Follow the below mentioned steps to create a dbconnect source system.
    1. Goto RSA1 -> Source systems. Right click and Create
    2. Give some name and description and hit enter
    3. a. Con Name : Any name (SQLSRV, etc)
    b. DBMS : MSS
    c. UserName : Any username which is present in the SQL Server. Eg: SA.
    If you have to use Windows Authentication, there is a seperate method :
    For windows authentication, you will have to add your Admin login of BI Server to the SQL Server Security logins group (For Eg: If BI Server name is BID and the admin login for this server is BIDADM, you need to add BIDADM to Logins/Users group of SQL Server and also for the specific database).
    d. Password : Anything.
    e. Con Env : MSSQL_SERVER=<sql server name> MSSQL_DBNAME=<database name> OBJECT_SOURCE= DBO.
    For Example:
    MSSQL_SERVER=ps14apollo MSSQL_DBNAME=PROJECTSERVER_REPORTING OBJECT_SOURCE=DBO
    Here ps14apollo is my SQL Server name. Similarly ProjectServer_Reporting is my database name. DBO should be the Object_Source for most of the SQL Server dbs. I think it should work in your case as well.
    f. DB RECO = select or let it remain unselected.
    g & h Max Connections & OPT Connections = 0, for unlimited connections.

  • Connection error. Connect to Internet but I'm connected

    Hi there,
    I help customers downloading ebooks with ADE. I have a customer who can't open his ebook and hi gets this message:
    "connexion error: ADE can't connect to the activation server. Make sure you are connected to internet"
    He assures he is connected to internet.
    Anyone has any advise, suggestions on how to work this around?
    I'll really appreciate your help.

    I help customers downloading ebooks with ADE. Brave person ... Good luck
    ADE messages are sometimes not quite appropriate.
    I suggest trying the following in this order.
    Order chosen for easiest first, rather than most likely to work first.
    ~~~
    (1) Remove any old authorizations (ctrl-shift-D to ADE, cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
    Restart ADE, and try to authorize again.
    (2) (Temporarily) disable any firewall and try again.
    (3) (Temporarily) disable any antivirus and try again.
    (4) Try the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
    I feel like a broken record suggesting this one; but it has proved the solution in lots of different situations,
  • Internet Connection error while connected
    "iTunes could not connect to the music store.Make sure your network connection is active and try again." This error is killing me with I have been using iTunes forever and all of a sudden, last week, I get this message. I can still surf the net with Safari and IE and have access to all my network drives, so why does iTunes now, not see the internet? How can this be fixed? I have checked all the preferences and there is nothing showing a section where you can alter network settings. I am using 6.04.2 on a Windows XP machine.
    the build in windows xp firewall is off and if it was on, itunes has been selected to be one of the programs to have free access.
  • Connection error while connecting to engine with names
    hi
    Due to DR setup one of our DEVLPMNT server are moved to different site and it's IP got changed.
    Both IP and system name are working for connecting to the engine, but if we try to connect from local through SSMS it is connecting only with IP and it is throwing error when we are using instance name.
    ->Two instances are there in server, both engines can be connected by using IP or INSTANCE NAME in server
    could please some one help me in this
  • Internet Connect error - Max connect time
    I am trying to help a friend with his Powerbook G4 at 10.4.4 configure dial-up networking with his internal modem.
    When I click the "Connect" button in internet config it briefly shows a status of "Contacting PPP Server" then immediately presents a dialog box with the message "The connection was terminated because the maximum connection time has elapsed."
    Although I have verbose logging checked in the ppp configuration in the ppp options of the network prefpane for the internal modem, Internet Config does not write anything to the log. The modem selected is "Apple Internal Modem (v90)". I have tried other modem selections with the same result.
    I have tried dialing the modem with zTerm and that works. So, the problem does not appear to be originating with the modem.
    What is causing the time out condition and how do I correct it?
    Thanks
    There was probably "maxconnect x" (with a numerical value for x) in either /etc/ppp/options or /etc/ppp/postoptions that was causing that -- unless there was a script that specifically called for maxconnect to be used as an option.
    /usr/sbin/pppd is the executable that handles ppp connection. it's not a matter of Internet Connect being sensitive to it; that is what handles the actual ppp connection.
  • Fatal NI connect error 12547/12170
    Hi,
    I am stakk with connection problem on customer Oracle server. Oracle database is installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Standard. Version of Oracle DB is 11.2.0.4 Standard One Edition.
    Oracle database works fine on server. I had no problems/errors while installing (as admin). My user is memer of Local Admin Group. I am also able to connect to it with sqlplus (sqlplus username/password@tns_alias) and SQL Developer.
    Content of tnsnames, listener og sqlnet files are following:
    The error could be due to a port change/reconnect/redirect that fails.
    The problem: Listener.exe is a separate physical process image in the kernel as the Oracle.exe process. The Listener needs to start an Oracle dedicated server process (created by the Listener as a remote thread in the oracle.exe process). Then it needs to pass the socket handle (created when the Listener accepted the tcp connection of the client) to this thread in another physical process - in order for that thread to continue tcp comms with the client.
    This is not by default supported in Windows as I understand (always wrote a single threaded exe myself with the main thread acting as listener and child threads as dealing with client sessions, when developing Win32 tcp servers).
    On Unix/Linux it is fairly common  to pass the socket handle as stdin and stdout to a forked child process (a separate physical process).
    If the socket handle cannot be passed from the listener.exe to oracle.exe, then the oracle.exe thread could open a private port as tcp listening end-point and inform, via the Listener, the client to reconnect to that tcp port (i.e. SQL*Net on client gets a redirect).
    You will need to determine whether this is happening - as it would explain the initial successful tcp connect from client to Listener, followed by the tcp connection failing to the Oracle dedicated server process.
    Not sure how one checks on Windows - have last done Oracle on Windows back with Oracle 7.1. But I think there are support notes on this.
    I would use netstat myself on Linux/Unix - and list the ports used by client and server for the connection, and determine if a private/dynamic port was used to continue the client-server tcp communication as a renegotiated tcp session. netstat is also available on Windows and can be used in a similar fashion too.
