Fatal1ty HS-1000 Headset problem.

I have bought this headset and it works very good, but there is one problem. After I installed all of the nessessary drivers and programs, it took away my ability to "Record what you hear" or use Wave out/stereo mixer if you will.... I am only able to record sound through the microphone. Because of this, all of my videos i make will not have sound....... Is there a way to fix this problem?

Is the Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset HS-1000 for Mac compatible with a PC?

Hi,
I mistakenly purchased the Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset HS-1000 for Mac instead of the PC version.
Are these still compatible with my PC even though they say "for Mac"? They have a USB connector just like my headphones and I have had people say that they "should" work, but I wanted to verify this.
I already had one pair that I purchased a while back for my PC and they work great but my wife wanted these also and I didn't realize there were two versions. If they will still work with a PC, I will just keep them. I just didn't want to open them up and find out that they don't.

I found something else out , the MIC is recoginized at startup when i have the problem , but not the headphones .

Can't hear myself talk - No mic playback - HS 1000 headset

I have a Creative Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB headset and I can not hear myself talk into the microphone. I have emailed tech support for the third time and they keep referring me to their help articles on the website but it doesn't help.
I have no option in the windows volume control to turn up or un-mute the mictophone in playback control.

I have the same exact problem. I also have XP.
I found the mic volume slider, it's the "Volume" button in the voice recording section. I have it turned all the way up, but still get nothing.
I installed all the latest drivers, Control Consoles, etc etc.
I was pretty much ready to give up.
Update: The microphone can be removed. It pulls straight out. That means, it may not have proper contact.
That was the case for me. I put it back in, and must've gotten it just right, because now it works. I guess the contacts are a bit touchy.
Anyway, If you're out there and getting nothing from the mic test, this may be your problem.

Crackling in Fatal1ty HS-1000, Windows 7

Hi,
I have a crackling in my HS-1000s that will occur if my computer has not been restarted for a while (putting it to sleep does not solve problem, but restarting does). It will sometimes take a few days for the crackling to come back, but it will sometimes come back the next day.
If I do not restart my computer, the crackling will increase in intensity until all audio is output crackly. Then everything will sound high pitched, as if played in fast-forward (voices sound like chipmunks. seriously). Exiting out of the game will usually fix the high-pitch issue, but other sound (youtube, itunes) will still be slighly crackly and stuttery.
Usually a restart fixes this temporarily. I've noticed it occurs more frequently in Battlefield: BC2 than in the past, but it HAS happened in a variety of other games. It seems to only start while I'm playing a game, though. If no sound is being output, there is no crackling.
Additionally, the headset will occassionally hum, on in-game as well. There seems to be no specific on-screen action that suggests humming. Whenever I start up Modern Warfare 2 or BC2, the humming will start at the login menu, then randomly stop.
I am currently using the native drivers.

EDIT: It seems that with BC2, when I restart the game, I get no game audio at all. I can still listen to sound on youtube or itunes, but it's still a bit crackly.
EDIT 2: I heard the crackling again and left the game running for a bit then quit out. YouTube was running crackly and then I got myself a nice BSOD. Any suggestions?

The crackling just wont stop and it really kills good games, music and movies. :/
I have however come up with a "solution" and that is to un-install ALL drivers and programs for the headsets. The crackling/lagging sure stops but the sound quality goes to hell. The mic volume will also be reaaally low, and that's not really acceptable if you're using VoIP for gaming.

How do I get my speakers and Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB to run at the same time?

I am having trouble running both my speakers and Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB headset at the same time. Sometimes I like to take off my Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB headset and listen to my music really loud with my 5.1 system, but now I would have to unplug the Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB headset from the back.
So when I play WoW I have to plug my Fatal1ty HS-1000 USB headset back in and go back and forth when I want to listen to music loud and play WoW.
I installed the the drivers with the audio panel.

It seems like you want output of audio on both the speaker and headset. I too have problem of always unpluggin and switching. Does anyone know if both can work. Can audio output be both in speakers and headset?

HS-1000 USB problem with FlashPlayer

hi all,
i just bought Creative Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset HS-1000, i installed the driver following the instructions and it works properly. I have problem when i have to see video on streaming on internet such as youtube videos or other that uses flashplayer, i can't hear nothing and don't know why, but if i see a video or i listen on streaming with windows media player it's all ok. Can someone help me please?

Fatal1ty HS-1000 help

I just got the fatal1ty hs-1000 usb headset and I run windows 7 64 bit. I wanted these headphone for the upcoming release of Bad Company 2. How do I make the X-Fi work so I can tell if people are behind me ect.
When setting my sound up in any game and windows do I set it to headphones? or surround sound? Im really kinda confused about how to set up me sound as sometimes i use 5.1 surround speakers and sometimes use the usb headset.

Also it seems that I need to have my volume down in the 10 percent area or it starts to get way too loud. Is there a way to lower the overall volume so that I can have a bit more range when I use the volume control on the headset? I am running the win 7 beta drivers.

Fatal!ty HS-1000 headset microphone

Just recently my Fatal!ty HS-1000 headset microphone stopped working. The red light on the headset is lit up but as soon as i start a game that uses a mic or connect to a ventrilo server or use any program that uses a mic, the red light just goes out and I cannot use the mic. As soon as i close the program the light turns back on. Any info that could help me get my mic working would be great....
Winxp 64 is my os and the mic worked just fine for a year or so just until yesterday. I can provide more system info if needed.

(MODE PROBLEM) Fatal1ty Usb Gaming Headset HS-1000

Hi, yesterday I bought my "Fatalty Usb Gaming Headset HS-000" .
I installed it with the CD, and started messing around with some configurations etc.
I realised that the sound was okay in game, but not perfect so I wanted to set some settings.
Anyhow I googled what best settings suit for cs .6 , and I found that someone asked the same question, I saw on his
Creative Audio Controll panel, he had a tab called "MODE".
There were 3 modes
- Entertainment mode
- Gaming mode
- Audio Creation mode

I hadn't realised there were 3 modes, so I opened my Creative Console Launcher, and I realised it says
"Entertainment Mode" to the top left...
So I too tried to open Creative Controll panel, and I found that the "Modes" Tab was missing.
I went to the site and downloaded latest driver, restarted computer, and tried again, it was still missing..
I searched Creative folder for "game" and found a file called "ModeGame.crl"
Which means it has to be there.. but I dont know how to switch mode to game?

Vista 64 - X-fi Xtreme Audio and Fatal1ty headset problem

Hi All,
I bought a Xtreme Audio soundcard today, and found a problem.
When I connect my headset with the front connection on my PC -> no problem
when I connect my microphone with the front connection on my PC -> no problem, mic is working.
When I connect them both, the microphone isn't working.
To fix it, I have to disconnect my headset
Is this a known issue ?
Or is there someone who can help me ?

FATAL1TY headset problem

Have just purchased this new headset and have connected it up to my Inspire T7900 system but i can only hear the faintes of sounds in the headset, i have connected to both the PC direct and the remote handset for the T7900 but still the same problem. By the way the sound works great on the inspire T79000

I have the same problem with the headset and have just emailed the support team. The headset was straight out of the box, lugged it into the computer and the sound is far too low even with the volume control up to 100%. I then tried another pair of creative headphones (EP-630) and the sound was as expected with the EP-630.
Maybe we have faulty headsets, anyone else experience this???

HS-1000 /Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset

These headphones will not install on either my laptop or desktop. I am running Vista on both, one with 64 bit. I installed all the software that came with the headphones then re-booted as instructed. Everything boots up just fine, no issues. When i try to plug in my headset i get a pop-up stating that i need to intall the drivers for a new device. So i re-install the drivers and put the file on my desktop and it still doesnt find the drivers. I have even tried to use the software that came with the headphones to locate any creative installed products and it doesnt find them.
I went through the knowledge base and it pointed me out to a file for windows that hotfixed Vista trying to find new USB attachments. This was included in SP1 and were already installed on my computer.
Im getting frustrated with these headphones and it doesnt seem like there is much light at the end of the tunnel. If anyone can give me some input or has some ideas, i would love to know. Thanks

Fatality USB gaming headset problem

My headset is connected via the usb cord to the computer. It has worked perfect until now. Whenever I start a program or check the volume settings for the microphone it simply turns off. The LED light on the controller turns off as well. For example, if I go into sound settings in vista and click on the "recording tab" the led light turns off. The led light is on whenever I do other things and I can hear sounds all the time. If I go into skype and connect a call the led light also turns off and people can't hear me. What can I do about this?

Short answer seems to be that you are pretty much S.O.L.
I purchased the same headset, non-USB version, about 15 months ago. Having my own microphone issue but customer service cites a 12 month warranty and won't help.

Soldering Fatal1ty MK II headset

Hello,
I had an accident with my Fatality MK II headset which resulted in both mic and headphone wires being ripped off of the divider which splits cable from headset into two cables that lead directly to jacks.
I tried splicing the wires together, got headphones to work (although there's a bit of background/feedback noise, I guess soldering and isolating them properly will fix that) but microphone is completely dead.
Wires before the divider are covered in: red varnish, blue varnish, blue varnish withcopper stripes, bare copper, white rubber,orange rubber.
Wires coming from mic jack:
orange rubber - ?
white rubber - I'm pretty sure it's microphone wire
bare copper - possibly ground? but what is it doing in mic cable
From headphones jack:
red varnish - right speaker
blue varnish - left speaker
blue varnish withcopper stripes - almost certain it's ground
I have spliced the wires together color by color but microphone doesn't work at all, sometimes it makes quiet noise when stripped wires touch but that's it, no voice whatsoever.
Could somebody tell me what each wire does and whether I'm supposed to connect it any other way than color to color? A wiring diagram would be most appreciated.
If all else fails, is it possible to replace the entire cable, if so then where should I look for such cable?

ok i got the control panel to work by reinstalling the sound drivers. but whenever i change anything in the control panel it has no effect on anything. why couldn't creative just make a usb version? all of these problems probably wouldn't of happened. even the old fatal1ty usb headest is sounding better than this one and i never had problems with it like whatever change i made in the control panel made a difference. i'm thinking about getting my money back.

Fatality headset problem

Hello.
I got new Fatal1ty Gaming Headset but now i have a big problem with it, well the problem is when i should hear somthing from the left speaker that sound comes from the right speaker and now i cant really play any game because of this.
Sounds wierd i know but does anyone know what i should to do?
My old headset working right so i think my computer is ok....

I gues you are right, but there is still 1 wierd thing also, it seems when i do that test sounds by voice controlpanel everything works great, when that test make sound in left speaker i can hear it like it should be.
So it seems this problem existing only when i play games no matter witch game i play, really wierd.
