Fatal1ty MKII headset dual-mic problem.

Hi.
I play very much games online and 90% of the time i talk with friends on skype. The thing is that they hear everything i hear in skype aswell together with my voice.
This is starting to get very annoying for my friends who hear the things i do more louder then them selfe hear their things. The problem startad after i changed headset to this one.
I know there are 2 mics on the MK2 headset. one for the voice and one for noice-canceling. What i think is that the noice-canceling mic is recording the sound that is played in my phones. I've tried to remove the mic for the voice and then play sounds in the phones and the meter in skype reacted as if the mic was there anyway. So the noice-canceling mic is defiantly recording the things i hear in the phones.
I have a creative soundblaster titanium Fatal1ty soundcard along with windows 7 64 bit. I have tried to enable the silencer function but i get the same results. Is there any way to to around this problem so there wont be any sounds in skype for my friends?
Best regards Tony

  • Fatal1ty MKII Headset Playback Device Trouble

    Hi,
I've recently purchased a set of Fatal1ty MKII Gaming Headphones (with the pink and green jack). I'm using Realtek HD integrated sound on W7 x64.
I'm having trouble separating the sound of the headphones from the desktop speakers. Mic works fine.
I can't seem to get the headphones to appear as an individual playback device in Sound manager. ( Only have speakers) For example, everything I hear through my desktop speakers I hear through my headset. In vent, I can't select output device to just be the headset.
So is there some way I can individually select headphones for vent etc and not have all my sounds coming through the headphones?
    Cheers.

I found something else out , the MIC is recoginized at startup when i have the problem , but not the headphones .

  • HDX 16 Headset and Mic problem in Vista64

    Good afternoon,
I have a long-standing problem with my e-dimensional AudioFX headset and my HP HDX 16, vista64 laptop. The issue is:
I cannot hear myself speak into the mic from my headset. ie. no sound is being sent from the mic back into the headset or external speakers. Everything else works just fine. My ventrilo partners can hear me and I can hear them. I just cannot hear myself.
When I plug the headset into my older Windows XP Pro machine, it works perfectly. I hear all ambient sound from the mic in my headset.
This is really difficult to work this way. I have tried disabling the AndreaElectronics microphone enhancements but this has not worked. I have tried adjusting the recording and playback properties many many times and many different ways but still can't get ambient sounds to feed back into the headset. I am reluctant to fool around with the IDT Audio drivers/services.
Can anyone offer some guidance/troubleshooting help? I'm totally out of ideas now.
    Regards,
    Starsider

    Update:
I think I have found the solution but it was for a similar problem on a Dell machine. Here is the link to that forum:
    http://forums.techarena.in/vista-hardware-devices/865259.htm
I think the solution involves enabling mic monitoring in the registry but I don't know exactly how to do it. If there are any registry experts reading this, I would greatly appreciate your help. I am reluctant to make any registry changes per the instructions in the link above since that was for a Dell computer and my registry is slightly different from the instructions given.
My exact model is the HP HDX 16 running Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Model number X-16 1155CA.

OK now ivé had it with Creative and the crappy products they sell. I´ve been buying ALOT of electronic stuff over the years and all creative products have been a total disaster. mp3 players that breaks down in 6 weeks,YEA ALL 3 of THEM DID!!!, soundcards that dosnt support half of the functions stated in the manual, Crappy drivers that actually gets WORSE when updated, and now a headset with no working mic!!! Cmon a mic is pretty basic stuff but still Creative manage to screw it up. Im breaking my X-Fi soundcard in half and throwing it in the garbage along with my Fatal1ty headset and my creative 5.1 speaker system.

  • Fatal1ty Headphone Mic problems

I have the Fatal1ty Creative Headset/mic and for some reason the mic will not work. I checked under support for a driver and could only find the USB Fatal1ty Creative headset listed. Mine does not have a USB and hasnt since i got it. Any suggestions? Thank you (I checked to make sure the mic was on, it is. I am using windows vista 32 bit.

I have the same exact problem. Weird thing is it works perfectly fine on my roommate's computer who has Vista 32 bit, but it doesn't work on mine while I have Win7 64 bit. Still haven't found a driver or anything helpful.

  • Help needed with HTC One regarding mic problem with noise cancellation

I picked up an HTC One last week, and so far I am loving the phone.  Great build quality, screen, sound - all as advertised.
However, there is one very annoying problem I am having.  When I am talking to someone, I can gear them great, but they keep telling me I sound muffled or robotic.  I performed some tests, and the problem appears to be something with the dual microphones and the HTC One's noise cancellation features.
Here are the tests I ran:
Typical phone call, with holding the phone as I normally do on the sides and to my ear.  Call result, pretty muffled voice.  I'd give the call quality a 5/10.
Help the phone as I typically do, but covered the mic hole on the back of the phone.  This definatelyimproved call quality.  Was louder and clearer, but not perfect.  I'd rate it at 8/10.
Help the phone towards the bottom, using my hand to kind of cup the bottom directing the sound to the bottom mic.  This was a further improvement in sound quality.  Rating would be 9/10.
Help phone as normal, but covered the bottom mic hole.  Very low volume and muffled sound.  Rating a 4/10.
Talked directly into the bottom of the phone into the bottom mic.  This gave perfect call quality and volume.  Rating a 10/10!
Talked directly into the mic on the back of the phone. Horrible quality, couldn't hear hardly anything. Rating 0/10.
Speaker phone on, held the phone up and moved it around as I would normally use a speaker phone.  Call quality was really nice.  Id give it 9/10.
Speaker phone on, covered back mic hole and used speaker phone as in #7.  Very bad quality, rating 1/10 for call quality.
Speaker phone on, covered bottom mic and help speaker phone in hand.  Really good quality, even an improvement over test #7.  Would give the call quality a 9.5/10.
Speaker phone on, placed face down on table.  Volume a bit low, a little muffled.  Call quality 6/10.
Speaker phone on, place face up on table.  A bit worse than test #10, low volume and a bit muffled.  Call quality is 5/10.
Based on these tests, I know this problem has nothing to do with the network CDMA connection.  It is obvious that the noise cancellation features are a bit too aggressive, or I have some hardware problem with one or both mics.
I question wether its really a hardware mic problem, because on non-speaker phone calls, talking directly into the bottom mic gives great quality.  And on Speaker phone, covering the bottom mic makes the speaker phone sound really good.  That's why I think there's something going on with the "Sense Sound" noise cancellation.
Is anyone else seeing the same issues?  I want to be able to hold the phone normal on a non speaker phone call and get good quality.
Looking for any tips and advice anyone can give.  Is it worth exchanging for a new one, as I am still in my 14 day window.
Thanks in advance for the help!

  • Best headset w/mic to use...primarily with Skype?

I use Skype to conduct/record pre-scheduled telephone surveys and often times my headset stops working and the other person can't hear me (but I can hear them). I am thinking that my current headset, a Logitech USB A-0374A, has issues (seeing a lot of posts about problems with it).
I would like to purchase a new headset w/mic and need suggestions for:
    brand,
going USB or the multi-inline controls,
    best for Mac usage,
    Skype usage, etc.
    Thanks!
    Elizabeth

I think bumping the mute button is an issue w/me. I do have to toggle between apps while on calls and I am trying to search the Skype pages for a discussion board or advice about using other apps while on a call, but can't find anything. I was curious if that can cause issues w/the other person not hearing me. I know this is not a Skype forum, but if you have any knowledge on that topic, please share.
My grant work budget will pay for a new headset and I like the one you recommended, but it may be a little too much. Thinking of buying the Audio .625 from Plantronics. Appreciate the advice and suggestion.

  • Creative Fatal1ty Pro Soundcard + Fatal1ty Gaming Headset

    Doesn't work.
The soundcard is fine, perfect. Crystal clear!
The headset is... fine! Also crystal clear.
The MIC on the headset. Doesn't work..?
I am running Vista Home Prem 32, and i've heard that it is possible to get the mic working, but takes a while. I bought my headset today, spent all day trying to sort out the mic, while i could've been playing the Call of Duty 5 MP PC Beta with my mates, but i couldn't speak to them cause of this.
Is there any fix? I am DESPERATE to get this working. Seriously.
I word from a mod or admin would be nice..
    Thanks.

    Hi Pottage7,
Are you referring to this Fatal1ty Gaming Headset or the USB one?

  • Echoes using Fatal1ty Gaming Headset

Hello, I got Fatal1ty gaming headset and have been using it for 2 weeks maybe, but today I started to hear echoes in it while talking on ventrilo and playing games. Is it my drivers I need to update or something? The headset havent been the victim of some blows or something and wasnt broken from beginning.
    Thanks

Slightly the same problem only the echoing is on a MUCH bigger scale then just hearing a normal echo. If I am listening to music or listening to anything for that matter, the sound slowly slows down until it dies out and then not a half second later a loud screeching noise comes back in it's place like it is playing the music only if you didn't know it was music you wouldn't know what the heck this noise was. I have to restart my computer for it to go back to normal. It is very garbled and echos and is so harsh on my ears I have to remove my headset until i can get it to stop.

gonna post machine first and then get to the point

    CPU: Intel Core I5 2500

Every time i try to use the rear port on my motherboard for my Mic the sound volume is VERY low. I've checked all my settings and mic volume is maxed out so i have to resort to use the mic port on my Logitech G110 keyboard which works fine so there's nothing wrong with the mic itself, I'am pretty sure this is Windows issue and yes i know this should probably be posted on some Microsoft forum but I've tried that to no avail just trying to get MSI's point of view of the issue I've uninstalled and re installed my sound card drivers and download the latest ones which came out this month which also don't help the problem. Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
     Any help would be appreciated

got a cheapo Logitech headset from work to test and it seems to work now so it seems that my old headset is the problem weird thing is that i still worked in keyboard but not my motherboard slot  its probably the wiring on my razer headset. Thanks for you help anyways jack

    Hi Auracles1,
Here's a pretty discussion regarding wireless printing with this device and a Mac.

I have a similar OfficeJet and it was a multi-step process. (1) Install printer drivers on the machine, (2) Add the printer queue in print & fax, (3) Run the "setup wizard" from the disc for wireless printing.
