hmmmm. it's not the error message that i usually associate the following problem with, but it's worth checking on.
does your QuickTime currently launch? (itunes needs a functioning QuickTime in order to work properly.)
if it doesn't launch properly, let's try a standalone QuickTime 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
Quicktime 7.1 Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention itunes 6
if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

I just ran across this exact error on my W2K3 R2 box. The only thing I've been able to determine thus far is that one of the security patches from Microsoft kills iTunes and no amount of re-installing or cursing helps...

  • Faulting application crw32.exe,version 11.0.0.895, faulting module crqe.dll

    Hello,
I am modifying an existing report to inlcude a stored procedure.  The existing report access several tables, link and formulate the fields.  I added the new stored procedure, link it with one of existing tables included in the report, and add a new group summation using the new field returned by stored procedure.  When I run the report with the new changes, the Crystal Report seems processing data for a while (as the SQL profiler shows the stored procedure was executed successfully), then it suddenly crashed.  The complete error message in the event log is "Faulting application crw32.exe, version 11.0.0.895, faulting module crqe.dll, version 11.0.0.1282, fault address 0x000a4d5c".
    Platform informatin:
    - Crystal Report XI version 11.0.0.895
    - SQL 2005
    - Windows 2003 Server
Any help to narrow down the issue would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Michael,
You are running the base build of crysral report XIR1 would suggest you to apply the latest service pack for crystal reports XIR1.
Servcie pack can be downloaded from here.

  • Faulting application java.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module jvm.dll,...

We have a customer that has been receiving the following error for the last 6 to 8 weeks (about once or twice a week) while running our application:
Faulting application java.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module jvm.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000449f7
Our application is running on Java 1.4.2_04-b05 and uses Tomcat 4.1.30 (or thereabouts). The OS is Windows 2003 Server. We have many other customers running the application on the same version of Java and Tomcat on a variety of OS versions, but have not seen this problem before.
We have replaced the java .exe's and .dll's to make sure one had not been corrupted, but to no avail.
There is another similar thread that has no resolution already out there:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9961112
but I wanted to put some Duke dollars on this post, so I posted it separately.
If anyone has seen this problem and found some way around it (no matter how severe the remedy) please respond.
    Thanks.

do you see any core/dump files??

  • Faulting application tomcat.exe, version 1.1.0.0, faulting module jvm.dll,

    All,
My application is running in a Tomcat, JBoss environment. Occassionally Tomcat crashes in jvm.
    The error is:
Faulting application tomcat.exe, version 1.1.0.0, faulting module jvm.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0015405e.
The OS is Windows Server 2003.
    JRE is 1.4.2_03
Has anyone seen this? I saw a thread where a number of people had this problem but no solution was posted.
    Is there any fix available?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Sudhir

1.4.2_03 is very old at this point. 1.4.2_17, the latest release has many, many, many fixes. Moving to this latest release may solve this problem:

  • Faulting application firefox.exe, version 36.0.0.5531, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.3119, fault address 0x00012a5b

I cannot get firefox to start. It keeps crashing with the following message:
The procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I uninstalled and removed the directory from program files, and reinstalled. I scanned the system for viruses. Still no good, same problem.
Details show: Faulting application firefox.exe, version 36.0.0.5531, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.3119, fault address 0x00012a5b

kernel32.dll 5.1.2600.3119 looks like a Windows XP version.
A Google search would suggest that this is a file from XP SP2, so best would be to update that computer to SP3
If this happens on a Windows 7 computer then make sure that you aren't running Firefox in compatibility mode.
You can open the Properties of the Firefox desktop shortcut via the right-click context menu and check the "Compatibility" tab.
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.

  • Faulting application AcroRd32.exe, version 9.5.0.270, faulting module unknown

We run a large Citrix Xenapp estate based on Citrix XenApp 4.5 x64  technology in a 80 server farm with Windows Server 2003 x64 O/S.
We have recently experienced issues with thin client users using having their Adobe Reader version 9.5.0 crash whilst trying to print.
We un-install and re-install Adove Reader and the problem goes away for a little while but comes back soon with over 45 users using each Citrix server.
This is the Microsoft error code which is not very helpful
Faulting application AcroRd32.exe, version 9.5.0.270, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000528ef.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
The only trigger appears to be the Microsoft Patch Tuesday roundup from December.
However rolling back these patches does not resolve the problem?
Has anyone had a similar problem?
    Anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks   Sean   London, UK

    Hi,
The ADMPlugin is used by Acrobat or Reader to create dialog boxes. The reason for crash could be that the ADMPlugin file is either corrupt or their is some problem with the permissions of the file.
To resolve this issue you can fully repair Reader installation. Steps to do the same are mentioned below.
    Close any running reader process.
    Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0
    Delete Reader folder.
Now try repairing the reader installtion from Control Panel->Add or remove Programs.
    This should resovle the issue.
If crash occours even after repair then please share the MD5 and permissions of the ADMPlugin.apl file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\SPPlugins.

  • Faulting application itunes.exe, version 8.0.2.20

I have iTunes error out a lot now. The Windows Event Log shows this:
Faulting module quicktime.qts, version 7.55.90.70, fault address 0x001517a4.
I get this if I leave iTunes idle for awhile. Any idea how to avoid this one?

I have the same problem. But everytime I connect my iPod touch I get this error. Only just started happening in the last few weeks, I can't identify what I have changed to cause it, or exactly when it started. It works fine on the work computer. Only new thing I can think of is I attached my PIXMA MP800 printer otherwise only other things I have done is I had to hard reset the iPod touch and I have updated some of the apps on it via wireless connection.

  • Faulting application winlogon.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module ntdll.dll

I'm having a problem where computers across the domain are getting this error and are randomly rebooting.
The computer reboots if the user is or is not logged into the system.
We have scanned for malware/spyware/rootkits/viruses with multiple products and the systems are clean.  there is no other events in the logs that would indicate any type of hardware issue.  We ran memory tests as well as Lenovos diag utilities and the systems still reboot.

    Hi Dizzy,
What was the policy that you had to remove? We're having the Winlogon process crash, then a box reboot, during user login / logout. The difference is we have smartcard logon enabled. The problem seems a lot worse when switching between users
with different group policies (we have some enabled for IE).
