Faulting Application

Hello,
I appear to be having an interesting problem. For some
reason, both Flash and Photoshop are crashing when I'm attempting
to load them. Flash crashes around the time when it is building the
workspace. Photoshop is crashing around when it is initializing the
palettes.
This is what I grabbed from the event viewer.
quote:
Faulting application flash.exe, version 9.0.0.494, faulting
module adobeowl.dll, version 1.0.90.0, fault address 0x00069f3d.
This problem seems to have started sometime within the past
few days. I'm not sure exactly when. I first noticed it with
Photoshop yesterday. When I tried Flash, it had the same problems.
I've tried everything I can think of to fix it, and nothing seems
to be working.
Things I have tried:
Replaced Adobeowl.dll with one from a working system.
Removed all preference files.
Did a repair installation.
Did a normal uninstall and reinstall.
Uninstalled again and downloaded the 30-day trial from the
Adobe website.
Did a complete uninstall of all Adobe products, and removed
most references to said products in the registry. Cleared out all
files from the application data folder and common files folders. In
other words, removed all traces of any Adobe product.
Did a system restore to a point when I know it was working.
Tried all of the above, but it still gives the same error. I
can't seem to find any solutions online. I've never had this
problem before. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
-Nate

I also encounter this error and the solutions you've
suggested never work!!!
But I tried something and it worked with mine, but not sure
if it's applicable on some of you
I uninstall some of my fonts!!! Hope it works with you
people!!!

hmmmm. it's not the error message that i usually associate the following problem with, but it's worth checking on.
does your QuickTime currently launch? (itunes needs a functioning QuickTime in order to work properly.)
if it doesn't launch properly, let's try a standalone QuickTime 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
Quicktime 7.1 Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention itunes 6
if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

    About Me !!!

  • Faulting application iexplore.exe, faulting module jvm.dll

I see there are a few posts on this sort of problem, but please bear with me as this is somewhat different.
I develop a browser Add-on and one of my customers is experiencing an IE7 crash using Oracle/Jinitiator, with an event log message:
    Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.6000.16827, stamp 49a74cd5, faulting module jvm.dll, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 4469a9b3, debug? 0, fault address 0x00050e18.
This may be related to my Add-on, so I'd like to know of any reasons that an Add-on could cause this situation. I see from other posts that it can be caused by an Add-on using a different JVM to the one used by the oracle app, however we don't include a jvm or use any java code, so it seems like it must be a different problem. The crash occurs on start-up of the oracle app and I'm told they're using Jinitiator on Win XP SP2. I don't know the details of their jvm or jinitiator versions.
I'm completely unfamiliar with oracle apps and JInitiators, so any pointers would be great. E.g. suggestions for them that may work around any such problem (like upgrading to latest JVM), or possible causes of any conflict between my Add-on and Jinitiator.
As my customer's app is not externally accessible I've not yet been able to replicate this. Here's another question (Example Oracle Forms app viewable online? asking for example apps that I might be able to use to replicate this.
    thanks,
    - Rory

Our browser Add-on is only available for IE, and the problem only happens when the add-on is running. So we've not tried Firefox but it wouldn't help unfortunately.

  • Faulting application iTunes.exe...

    helllo,
I'm running quicktime on a win2k3 (sp1) server and am getting the following error:
"Faulting application iTunes.exe, version 6.0.4.2, faulting module shell32.dll, version 6.0.3790.2662, fault address 0x0015af84."
the itunes\quicktime will not work in any way.
tried the microsoft help, directX updated, graphics\sounds drivers updated.
    please advise asap.

I just ran across this exact error on my W2K3 R2 box. The only thing I've been able to determine thus far is that one of the security patches from Microsoft kills iTunes and no amount of re-installing or cursing helps...

    Hello Roland_Zeki,
Can you check System in the Windows Log of Event Viewer? Maybe you have some logon failure for one of the services, like in this blog:

Yes I have verify this point I suspected to be the origine of the problem. But no, the accounts have fixed password and are not locked. I test this point with a valide login on the server, and I reenter the login password for each app pool.

  • Faulting application Photoshop.exe, version 9.0.2.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4455, fault address 0x0001bd02

    Hi,
I have Photoshop CS2 9.0 version installed on my PC with patch 9.02. I have a VB application which runs certain action files on EPS/TIF images using Photoshop typelibrary.tlb.The issue is that the VB application hangs when Photoshop crashes with the following error:
"Faulting application Photoshop.exe, version 9.0.2.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4455, fault address 0x0001bd02"
I also get several other errors when i call Photoshop in my VB application. Those are as mentioned below:
    1. The referenced memory could not be read.
    2. The remote server machine does not exist or not available.
There is no particular pattern for above mentioned errors. I could not find any help in any of the forums.
I have attached the screenshot of these errors.
    Pls advice.
    Thanks in advance,
    Shobha Patil

I to have been getting this error, randomly when I exit the program. Not sure what to make of it google has come up empty for me.

Yes, I know that this is an old post, I’m just trying to clean them up. Did you find the answer for this?
By change do you have McAfee and have you told McAfee to exclude ccmexec.exe from AV scanning?

Stop it on all servers then start on App servers, if it is stable then you can add another server and more.
But it is not recommended to run the DC on all servers in farm, but in your case you have 3 servers.here MSFT position.
"On a farm with four or more servers, you must not start the Distributed Cache service on all servers on the farm. If you configure all
servers as cache hosts, you may experience reliability and performance problems in the farm."
Are all of your server in the farm have the same memory, if not then that's your problem.
Please remember to mark your question as answered &Vote helpful,if this solves/helps your problem. ****************************************************************************************** Thanks -WS MCITP(SharePoint 2010, 2013) Blog: http://wscheema.com/blog

Let me know what could be the possible reason for this issue.
    Thanks
    HyperionEPM

If has only occurred once then I wouldn't be too concerned unless it keeps reoccurring.
I would expect some sort of activity to cause the crash.
It is always worth raising an SR as you can't rely on always finding the answer on here.
With the heap size issue then you should have been seeing heap size errors in the logs, sometimes it can be bad form design that is requiring to keep increasing the maximum heap,
