Faults in your latest Iphone firmware update
The latest Iphone 4 update via itunes has trashed my Iphone, requiring the factory restore. it was working perfectly beforehand. it restored ok but this is just a warning there is something faulty with that latest update
This is a user to user help forum ONLY, and no there isn't something faulty with the latest update or the very same would happen to everyone that installed the update, which is not the case.
As with a major computer OS update when there is a major problem after installing the update, the update brings an underlying/unknown problem to the surface which is not caused directly by the update.
As an example, this is done with the iPhone via a USB connection. A problem can occur with the data transfer via USB for the update from your computer to the iPhone which has nothing to do with the update.

Has any had difficulty downloading an installing the latest IPhone 4 update on ITunes?
When I try to install the latest IPhone 4 update in ITunes, it downloads the item but at the very end I get an error message telling me the server timed out and to check my internet connection. I did all this and there are not internet connection issues. I think I tried all the obvious solutions so far (e.g., I tried the process again, I closed the program and restarted it, rebooted the computer, I tried to "download only"), but the same problem keeps occuring. Any one else run into this problem? or have a solution?
Thanks.Have you tried temporarily turning off your firewall and antivirus software until the download has completed ?

I cant seem to download and install the latest iphone software update. I have tried since the release and have been unsuccessful on more than 7 occasions and lost all the data on the process. Anyone have that problem an how do I fix this problem?
Hi
Thanks but I have tried doing the above - when I said 7 times I was modest, its more like 15 times.
And I am referring to the 5.1 software update. I dont have wifi so I guess I will have to try that seeing that my husband also has the same problem - he has also tried downloading several times. It always times out en says that the connection is lost but yet there are always an internet connection and a decent signal once it stopped. Think it said error 32052 or something!
I am disappointed because the update includes inprovement on the battery life - did you guys notice any difference? -
At every launch of Adobe muse, I am met with the message that "Your latest Muse CC update is here"
Wonderful, but after the apparent download, absolutely nothing happens, and when I re-launch Muse, I am met with the same message. I have done this about 7 times now, and nothing has changed.
Launching the Creative cloud, updates for other Apps are listed, but not for MUSE !!
Being on a satellite service with limited bandwidth, I am getting a bit tired of waisting bandwidth and getting nothing in return. Does anybody have a suggestion / solution to this problem?I tried all suggested solutions, also re-installed the Creative Cloud app, but no change.
I have Now re-downloaded and installed the Muse App, In the Creative Cloud App window it lists as "updated", but I am receiving the same message "Your latest Muse CC update is here" when I launch the freshly downloaded and installed Muse App!
The installed version is 7.3 build 5 - I have no idea what is happening to the supposedly downloaded updates! -

Error while downloading iphone firmware update (error code -3254)
Hey guys,
I am using the German versions of iTunes and the iPhone. When I connect the iPhone to my machine, iTunes starts up and proceeds to inform me that a new firmware update is available. After the license agreement is confirmed, nothing seems to happen for a few sceonds. Then, an error message pops up which tells me that "an unknown error has occured". The error code is -3254.
I searched Google and these forums for variations of this problem, but couldn't find anything suitable. The error code is not mentioned anywhere.
My iTunes version is 7.6.1.9 (running on Windows XP)
My iPhone has firmware version 1.1.3 (failed while upgrading to version 1.1.4)
I found out that similar errors can be caused by firewall misconfigurations, but the built-in iTunes diagnosis tool didn't report any connection problems (I also temporarily opened all of my router UDP ports, didn't help at all).
Any help would be appreciated.I'm having the same problem. The download finishes and then it says an unknown error occurred. It says it has something to do with my network connection, but I don't think that's the problem.
Did you find a solution yet?
I tried to reinstall iTunes but it didn't work. -
Knocked off network by iPhone firmware updates and syncs
Every time I either sync the iphone or update iPhone firmware, I get knocked off my internal web network and must reboot my computer to once again have web and email access. It always occurs <during> firmware downloads, so I have to reboot my computer mid-download for the download to continue, and sometimes several times to achieve the full download. The (Airport Xtreme)router does not need to be rebooted. Nothing else I do has this effect (knocking me off the network). Very frustrating and time-consuming -- any clues?
Thx!,
--RDo a search on this forum for "Dell Laptop". There are known issues and fixes for the USB ports and device drivers on the Dell laptops.

Docking iPhone to IMac Since Latest iPhone Software Update
Since the latest iPhone software version(1.0.2) was downloaded, whenever I dock my iPhone into its charging/syncing dock connected to my iMac, I get the "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone' box, asking me to switch to Airplane Mode. I just select "no" and continue. When I got my iPhone, I had a Windows PC running XPPro, but the coolness of the iPhone converted me to Apple and the new iMac. Is anyone else having this problem, or is there a work around? It's kind of anoying. Thanks.
Thanks Nathan C. I've also noticed that occasionally when I dock the iPhone for syncing and click on sync, that the iTunes message bar at the tope of the screen is working saying "syncing iPhone", but it just keeps working without anything happening. When this happens I either kill the sync with the slider on the iPhone, or try to eject the iPhone from iTunes, or I have to reboot the iPhone. Then I try syncing again, and it seems to work as it should. Is this happening to anyone else? I wonder if it could be related to the issue with my iPhone dock. Any ideas? If it gets "stuck" during syncing, what is the best way to stop the sync and try it again?

The latest iPhone 4 update doesn't support bluetooth on my Mac with Lion
The latest iPhone4 update doesn't support bluetooth on on my mac pro using Lion OSX 10.7. Iphone will not recognize my connection and will not connect.
Make sure you run indeed 10.7.2. If in doubt use -> Software Update.
Sign out of Mobile Me, move your MM account to iCloud, by visiting http://me.com/migrate .
After that, launch the icloud system preference panel, in -> System Settings and log in. -
Since the latest update, most of my third party apps no longer work, none of my photo software, torrent programs, open office, NOTHING!! It is most frustrating - is there a way to 'downgrade' and go back to a previous version of the firmware, or am I just stuck with no apps that work?
They just don't open, and i get an error message like this:

Latest iphone sofware update fails to synch photos in numerical order!
I've been informed that the reason why my photos on my 3g Iphone will no longer synch to it in numerical 'name' order is because the latest software update places them in 'date taken' order by default, consequently moving them out of my preferred option.
I've been told I will need to use a third party software in order to place my photos back in numerical order. Does anyone know of a way round this, and if not, can anyone recommend suitable, preferably free software to acheive this?

IPhone firmware update 3.1.3
+"Apple today released iPhone OS 3.1.3 for all iPhone and iPod touch models, addressing several specific bugs as well as offering fixes for a handful of security issues.+
+This update for the iPhone and iPod touch contains bug fixes and improvements, including the following:+
+- Improves accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS+
+- Resolves issue where third-party apps would not launch in some instances+
+- Fixes bug that may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard+
+Full details on the security updates included in iPhone OS 3.1.3 are available in the associated support document."+Today I upgrated to iTune 9, and then it wanted to update firmware in my iPhone 3GS. It is ver 3.1.3.
No succes. After about ½ hour it is finish, and the iPhone try to reboot. iTunes then gives an error 1002, and write that the upgrade was unsuccesfull. The "read more" link given in the errorwindow just shows an "unknown web-adress" at www.apple.com/support.
iTunes then sees the iPhone as a new empty iPhone and it wants to put in the firmware again. I have now tried 4 times in my Windows 7 x64, and 2 times on another computer using windows XP.
The iPhone can now only show the picture with the white USBcable and the text iTunes. All other things don't work. It can't be turned on normally, so no use at all.
What is "error 1002"?
How do I get the iPhone working again?
I'm sorry for my poor English, but English is not my first language. I hope you can get some sence out of this post anyway. -
7.7 - Install error? Can't download iPhone firmware update
I downloaded 7.7 yesterday and got an install error, but when I opened it up, it said it was version 7.7 and had the Application menu item. So I thought all was dandy!
But when I tried to update my iPhone to 2.0, a message popped up that said I need 7.7 installed. I clicked "Update," was taken to Software Update, but of course nothing was found.
Then I thought I'd try to download it manually, but the download links are nowhere to be found on apple's site: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Any ideas? Please help! I want to get 2.0 installed before I leave for work. You have to wait several minutes for iTunes to recognize any new iPod or iPhone after the 7.7 update. There is a major bug with the program. Apple has removed the download from their servers, which I don't think they have ever done, even with minor issues of previous iTunes releases in the past... I'm sure they are working on it and I hope to see iTunes 7.7.1 ready to download soon. You probably can't update any firmware/software until Apple fixes things...
-
Now the apple apears on the screen and after 1 minute i'ts gone and the wait or reboot circle appears and this in a loop.
You might have to reload the update, in which you can hold down the lock button and home button for 10 secs, then let the lock button go, while still holding the home button and it will say it is in restore mode in itunes. just make sure the phone is plugged into your computer while doing the process.
