Faulty panel-display after hiding photoshop 13.0 on mac os 10.6.8
Good day!
If I hide Photoshop 13.0 on Mac OS 10.6.8 Configurator panels will not display correctly again until restarting Photoshop. (see image, left after starting the application, right after hiding and showing it)
Can any of you offer some insight on what may cause this and how it might be remedied?

I know how to reproduce this problem.
Please don’t retest this to avoid wasting your time.
If I click “Hide Photoshop” directly in Photoshop, then this bug doesn’t occur.
However, if I go to another product and then select “Hide others”, then this bug occurs.
This is an already known bug and thanks Zhengping Wang forward this related information to me.
I am sorry to say this bug is not fixed yet.

I'm on Photoshop CS6 with my documents in the 'float all in wondows' view. I have say 20 documents open, 19 collapsed into the dock with the one document left i'm working on. I hide photoshop to go to the desktop, click back into photoshop when done. As i return to photoshop all of the previously collapsed documents reappear one by one and fill up my workspace. I then need to collapse all of my documents once again to leave just the one I'm working on. This was never an issue in earlier versions, does anyone know how to override? thanks.I'm assuming you're on a Mac. That is a Mac OS native feature. I'm afraid you can't disable that from Photoshop.
Alternatively, 2 workarounds I see here:
Instead of 'floating' your documents individually, why don't you tab them together and switch between them using tabs?
This way, all your documents will be open within 1 parent container, you can switch between them using Cmd + ` or Shift + Cmd + ` (backwards)
Another option you could try in your current workflow is not to 'Hide Photoshop'. Set a 'Hot Corner' in Mac OS to 'Show Desktop'. For example, the way my workflow is setup is - it will show Desktop when I move my mouse over to the extreme top left corner. To do this, Mac OS > System Preferences > Desktop & Screensaver > Screensaver > Hot Corners -
Extensions Panel greyed out in Photoshop CC on a Mac. Can't open Mini Bridge
I've just (yesterday) joined the Adobe Cloud, with full access to all the Adobe programs.
Opening Photoshop, I also wanted Mini Bridge open but the 'Extensions' item on the 'Window' menu is greyed out and can't be selected.
I've tried opening Bridge first, the Photoshop and vice versa, either way, the problem is the same. I've checked the Photoshop Preferences under 'Plug Ins' and made sure 'Load Extensions Panel' was ticked (which it was originally)
So, basically, no matter what I try, the Extensions Panel seems to remain greyed out.
Can any of you good people come up with the reason why this is happening and how I can solve i please?

If your resize 8 plug-in is from onOne then you need to install version 8.5.1 for the plug-ins to be available through extensions. Even before the 8.5.1 update to the suite the resize 8 plug-in was available via the File->Automate... menu item after a re-install of the suite so it detected CC 2014. -
I have just purchased Acer Aspire R7 (2nd Genre). I have installed Photoshop CS6 as trial. Now when I open any image or drag any image in Photoshop I get this error in the taskbar "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered". After that Photoshop doesnt respont and I have to force close it from task manager.

Leaving the front panel displayed on a subpanel after stopping
I have a tab control.
Each tab control has a subpanel.
Each subpanel has a static vi reference attached to it for launching.
I would like the image of the front panel displayed in the subpanel after the program has finished running so that any information that was displayed is still present.
Is there a way to retain all the settings between run's?

NeuroNetriX TestSet.vi 12 KBWhen you say settings, do you mean controls? If so, you can right click on them and select Data Operations >> Make Current Value Default. That will keep the settings initialized how ever you set them up.
I believe you can use use the Get Front Panel Image VI Method node, similar to the way to run the VI. You can create one by right clicking on the VI reference wire and selecting Method for VI Class >> Front Panel >> Get Image.
I've attached a code snippet of the node. If you want you can just drag the file into your block diagram and it should turn into code.

Photoshop CC 2014 for Mac Error With Display Driver
I keep receiving this error and then Photoshop crashes. Has anyone encountered this issue and if so how did you resolve it? I am using a Targus docking station and I had to download this driver: Driver Name: Video, Audio, and Ethernet Software for Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10, Mavericks 10.9, Mountain Lion 10.8/10.7 (R2.3) – January 2015
As long as this driver is installed on my mac pro, Photoshop continues to crash. If I uninstall the driver, Photoshop works fine.

Photoshop CC 2014 for Mac has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarity disablesd enhancements which use the graphics hardware. Check the manufacturer’s website for the latest software. Graphics hardware enhancements can be enabled in the performance panel of preferences.

Is it possible to use old Apple Flat Panel Display (62 watt power adapter) with a MacBookPro 13" Mid-2012 laptop? Would like to use larger screen when working at home. I have a mini display port to VGA cable and have tried to hook up the old display but it seems not to work. When I try to activate the screen on the old display-- a window comes up in the MacBookPro and asks me if I want to shut down the computer. What little I have read it that the MacBookPro had Thunderbolt and the old display may not be compatible? Any assistance would be appreciated.

This doesn't have anything to do with your problem, but it will likely cause other issues with your e-mail.
Here's my standard recommendation concerting the use of A-V software to deal with potentially infected messages:
Never use ClamXav (or any other A-V software) to move (quarantine) or delete e-mail. It will corrupt the mailbox index which could cause loss of other e-mail and other issues with functions such as searching. It may also leave the original e-mail on your ISP's e-mail server and will be re-downloaded to your hard drive the next time you check for new mail.
So, if you choose to "Scan e-mail content for malware and phishing" in the General Preferences, make sure you do not elect to either Quarantine or Delete infected files.
When possibly infected e-mail files are found:
Right-click/Control-click on either the infection or file name in the ClamXav window.
Select "Reveal In Finder" from the pop-up menu.
When the window opens, double-click on the file to open the message in your e-mail client application.
Read the message and if you agree that it is junk/spam/phishing then use the e-mail client's delete button to delete it (this is especially important when the word "Heuristics" appears in the infection name).
If you disagree and choose to retain the message, return to ClamXav and choose "Exclude From Future Scans" from the pop-up menu.
If this is a g-mail account and those messages continue to show up after you have deleted them in the above manner, you may need to log in to webmail using your browser, go to the "All Mail" folder, find the message(s) and use the delete button there to permanently delete them from the server.
To fix the corrupted mailbox index(es), highlight each one that was corrupted and choose Rebuild from the appropriate menu. -
Event getting trigger after hiding columns in alv report

I having requirement like after hiding columns,i have to control some of the hard coded data in report output. Is there any event to know what all are the columns are selected to hide?You can use FM REUSE_ALV_LIST_LAYOUT_INFO_GET to read the fieldcat again.
Look at the parameter it_event_exit on the ALV FM to now user has press on some of the Layout buttons.
In the fieldcatalog, look for
- no_out = 'X'. " column is not displayed but can be choosen when changing the layout
-tech = 'X'.

HP LaserJet M1120n Multifunction Printer, control panel display
Hi,
Yesterday here was an electrisity cut. After that all devices worked normally, except the printer. Control panel display of the printer was out of function and control panel buttons didn't work.
I turned the printer off and waited some time. After that I tried to restart the printer. I heard that the printer started, but the display didn't work though, even I waited couple of hours . How could I solve this problem and can you help me?

I see that the display isn't working on the printer since you had a power outage. I will certainly do my best to help you.
Can you still print to the printer?
Make sure there is no damage on the power cord and that it is connected directly to a wall outlet.
The printer shouldn't be exposed to any electric or magnetic field.
Try another power cord, you can use a monitor power cord to test it. Just to rule that out.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 30-60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Try another wall outlet in another room, on another breaker. Just to make sure that isn't causing the issue.

How do I get Configurator 4 Panels to appear in Photoshop CC?
Followed Configurator directions. Created Panel then Exported to PS CC Plug-In Panels folder. Restarted Photoshop after verifying that "Load Extensions" was checked. Extensions downloaded from Adobe Cloud are visible, but not the newly created Configurator panel. Can't save Panel as ZXP file in Configurator; that option is greyed out. Don't know if that is part of problem. Would be grateful for a solution.

I only use one version Configurator and stopped using it for ever version Photoshop seemed to need a different version and panels built for each version of Photoshop. My scripts work file without any additional panel in Photoshop versions CS2 through CC 2014.
If I remember there was some HTML feature in Configurator. Configuraror 4 is old 2013 was for CS5 and CS6 WOW most likely built Flash Panels.
You may want to look ate Adobe Extension Builder and Creative Cloud 2014 -

I am displaying the text in table with two columns and in one column i am giving the text elemnt and in other the value.
I had given the condition that if the data is not present then the text elemnt should not be shown in the form .My form is working perfectly except that its leaving the space for that text element.

I downloaded a trial of photoshop. It runs for a minute or so, then a message displays saying that photoshop has stopped. No error codes, just the message. I have exhausted the "try this" stuff that I can find. Any other ideas would be appreciated. I would also like to know what some alternative applications might be. This trial does not give me confidence in Adobe's product.
I saw a similar question deeper into the forum right after I posted. I followed the fix steps and it took care of the problem.

Extensions Load Slow (Mac) After Latest Photoshop Update
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the below:
(On Mac - Mavericks) The latest Photoshop CC 2014 update has slowed down the loading of my two extension (these are extensions I have created in HTML5). Prior to the update they loaded fine. Also, when I uninstalled one of the extensions and then reinstall it I get error code -180 (no documentation on this error code), I click ok and then open Photoshop and the extension loads (but slow) and when I quit Extension Manger and reopen it the extension shows it is loaded.
No problems with the extension in Windows 7 after the Photoshop update. The extensions load as before the update.
Also, error code -180 is a mystery. I have searched the web and can find no reference to it. Any idea where Adobe lists their error codes?
Any insights on this issue will be appreciated - Sam
PS - When one of my extension pallets displays a blank window, I click in the pallet and the extension loads. Strange!Please post your problem to Photoshop General Discussion so that it can reach more people and get better support.

View Solution.This was quite a pain to solve, and as my client's printer was out of warranty HP telephone support wanted at least $20 to even try to fix it.
Anyway, I was able to fix it myself by hard resetting the printer:
1) unplug the power cord
2) hold buttons '#' and '6' as you plug it back on
3) while still holding, power on the printer
4) after a few seconds, it will show semi NVM reset or something like that, and start the factory default setup (pick language, align cartridges, etc.)
You should be able to access printer functions again as usual after that.
