Favicon not uploading/png images pixelated/unsampled images warning

Hello.
I am new to HTML and Muse.
I am having a problem with uploading my Favicon to Muse. When I try to upload, I get an error saying the image must be square. The image I am uploading is about 32 px by 32 px. That is square.
Also, some images on my site appear pixelated when I shrink them. How can I shrink them so the quality stays the same? All my images are png, exported from Illustrator.
I am also getting a message when I start Muse saying that there are 2 assets being unsampled. How do I fix this?
Also, when I preview my site in Safari, at first when I click on links to pages, they load fine, but after a few clicks, the pages take about a minute or so to show and don't load properly. How can I fix this?
I am using Mavericks.
Thank you for your suggestions and assistance.

Thanks adobelance
But I am still fairly confused because I thought that was what I was doing...  I have made the site in Muse (and Edge (Inside Muse)), published it inside Muse to BizCat, and set the domain names which are held (Lease from?) GoDaddy to forward to BizCat.  Is that the issue?  Does adobe need to hold the domain names?  When I publish a change I see it on thesanninegroup.com, so wouldn't that mean it is grabbing the files from the bizCat site?  Is GoDaddy the site that is wrapping my site in another wrapper. That would not surprise me...  I have never even heard of that happening and sounds like something they would do.
I'll re-try your second suggestion, but again, I thought that is what I was doing.
Here are some screenshots I hope might help:
Here I can see in the code that it seems to be wrapped in a frame:
And here i can see the Favicon works when you plug that URL right into the browser, but I have no idea what worldsecuresystems is...  It's Adobe, isn't it???

  • FTP DW5 suddenly is not uploading some images - or at least not showing them on site

    Hello,
Dreamweaver is not uploading new & changed images.
BUT - images that were on webpages before this started happening today are intact, even after I upload the updated page.
What appears on the webpage in place of the image is a blank box with the small 'broken picture' icon, sometimes with the access text description. The images' file names appear in the source coding. Ex. http://www.wnytrauma.org/index20.html
I uploaded my Local Files to the Remote Server, but that didn't help
I don't know enough to figure out if this is a coding error or an FTP error.
Thank you for any help or advice.

There's a lesson to be learned in those statements.
Effective websites aren't about  "look what I can do with javascript" or "check out our post modern quasi digi funkorama hoodlehoo design concept". In general, the most effective sites are developed to deliver the information that their viewers are looking for, to the viewers, in the fastest and most efficient way possible.

  • CS5 will not upload Picasa images

I use Pisaca 3.5 to view my JPG images and in the past, have been able to upload those selected images for processiong into CS2 and now CS5.
I did have the trial verison of CS5, but have since bought the product.
Now, and for some reason, I can not get ANY images from Picasa to upload into CS5.
Anyone know why and how can this be  fixed?
    cheers,

    John,
    Thank you for your reply.
However, I can not find 'Windows File Assoc. and there is nothing in Picasa options to help me.
For some reason Picasa just stopped uploading into CS5.
All of this was working ok in CS5 under the trial period (I now have the full version) but can not get an image into CS5.
    My OS is Win XPro.

  • Why can I not upload any images from my iPhone 4 to my Macbook Pro? Please help!

    Hi all,
I'm pretty much tearing my hair out with this one, I don't know what to do - I simply cannot upload any photos from iPhone 4 to Macbook Pro.
This problem appeared out of the blue. I am trying to upload to iPhoto - not working. I have clearing the cache - not working. Tried the Dropbox app - not working and the option has now disappeared altogether. Tried Image Capture - not working. I went and had my iPhone replaced altogether - still not working. I thought it might be a problem with my iPhone or a problem with the back-ups or sometthing so I plugged in my boyfriend's to scope it out - still not working. I have restarted all devices many times. I have read through posts and posts about this and cannot find an answer.
iPhoto says: unreadable files - unrecognized format - not true!!
Image Capture just says there is an error importing.
Any help would be much appreciated - it's driving me mad!
    Thank you!

I am assuming it's not a problem with the iPhone has I have tried several iPhones and had the same problem.

  • Error displaying .png image inside the portlet

    Hi all -
I am having an issue with the remote portlet displaying a certain image file, i.e. .png is not showed up inside the portlet. If someone had dealt with this issue and know a fix, please share that information. THX.
A simple test war was built and deployed to the WebLogic server with two embedded images, one GIF and another PNG, and in Webcenter ALUI 6.5 a remote portlet/webservice were created to display the image files. The portlet only shows the .gif image and not the .png image?? I am not sure what the issue is with the portlet??

I am faced with the exact same issue: .png is not showed up inside the portlet. Removing the prefix URL gateway for the portlet web service would work.
However, in my case, my system is sitting behind a gateway to ensure a secure connection. I can NOT remove the prefix URL gateway on my system. It appears the problem is, if the portlet web service is prefix with a URL gateway, the PNG fie is delivered to the browser with the wrong MIME-type ("text/html" instead of "image/png").
My web service is deployed on a WebLogic container. Is this a configuration issue in AquaLogic/WebCenter Interactions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Opening .png image through Bridge

Could not open .png image through Bridge CS-6Beta.  Message said there was a missing application.  Can open same file directly in Photoshop CS-6Beta.  Windows7.

I have no problem opening Bridge CS-6 (x64) by itself.  In Bridge, I can see the .png image but when I double click on it, I get an error message that ImageReady.exe is missing.  However, If I right click on the image and select "Open with Adobe Photoshop CS-6", the file opens normally.

  • Shrinking PNG Images

Photoshop CS5, is not shrinking PNG images with transparency more then I would like. Including adjusting all options from 'save for web', does anyone have any recommendations or alternatives that I could use ?

Reading between the lines, it sounds as though you need the transparency.  What's not so clear is whether you need the 256 levels of transparency, nor what your use for the images is.
    - Do you need partial transparency?
    - Are these images to be used on the web?  How?
    - Could something like using a specific background color over the top of a specific background substitute for transparency?
    - What kind of images are they?  Could they benefit from noise reduction, which will allow the data to compress better?
The PNG format is the only one that's going to give you partial transparency and web browser compatibility.

I am trying to use photomerge compose.  I open one standard jpeg image and one image that is my business logo in a png format.  When I select the png image, to extract the logo from it, it appears as all white and will not allow me to select the logo from it.  It has worked in the past but I downloaded the update today and photomerge will not work correctly.  Any ideas?

    hedger,
How do you expect anyone to help when we don't know a darned thing about the file, abut your setup, exact version of Photoshop and your OS, machine specs, etc.?
    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
Note that this is boilerplate text.
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
    etc.,
someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster, who is not a Windows user).
a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too.

  • Captivate 5 - Inserted PNG images from Fireworks are pixelated

The PNG images I inserted from Fireworks are showing up pixelated when I play the file in a browser, but look fine while I'm working in Captivate.  Any thoughts?
    THANKS!
    Birgit

    Hello,
Did you try changing the publish quality? Because of the fact that CP when converting to SWF will still be doing some compression, I really would give that first of all a try.
PNG allows even partial transparency, and certainly its 24-bit version. That is one of the reasons that it is superior to JPEG (no transparency) and GIF (only 100% transparency).  But I'm not really used to Fireworks, always using Photoshop for graphical assets.

  • Gettin Pixel data from png image

    Hi,
Has anyone worked with the byte data returned my the getSnapshot() method of the VideoControl (MMAPI). I believe the default is png( i have tested this on Nokia 3650 and 6600 and on Siemens SX1).
In all the devices that support Nokia UI library i can get the pixel values from the byte data by using the com.nokia.mid.ui library, specifically the DirectGraphics.getPixels() method.
In MIDP 2.0 devices i can do this using the Image.getRGB method.
But what about MIDP 1.0.3 devices that do not have the Nokia library ? i believe that the byte data returned by the camera is of raw png format. I have never done this before and so far my search on the web has not been fruitful.
Can anyone point me to information abt the raw png Image (number of bytes of header ... etc) so that i can write my own code to extract the information or better yet point me to the code that does this.

  • Saving png images at 72 pixels resolution

    Hi,
I have been creating images for our Flash designer, saving them in Fireworks as png images. We recently discovered that they are being saved at 71.89 pixles resolution, while in the Flash they need to be 72 pixels. To solve this problem the designer has to open the pngs in Photoshop and resave them as a png, which is a problem.
Is this difference in resolution due to both PhotoShop and Fireworks being different products and originally from different companys, or due to me working on a PC and our Flash designer working on a Mac.
Can I set Fireworks to save pngs by default at 72 pixles resolution so any further images I create work in our Flash movie?
    Stephen

    Hi,
I've just found out that the Flash designer is using Virtual Desktop on their mac, and doing their development in the virtual pc enviroment. Not sure if the Mac way of interpreting image resolutions is 'passed' to the virtual PC?  My Fireworks is set up as 72 pixels/inches as the resolution so I think the mac/pc differences is still the cause of the problems.
    Thanks
    Stephen

  • Placed PNG images which are made in 3ds max are not shown correctly in Ilustrator

    Hello,
Why placed PNG images (renders) which are made in 3ds max (and then photoshoped) are not shown correctly in Ilustrator. Images appear very noise so you can't see almost a thing. the same pictures (renders) made in Revit appear ok.
Is there a solution to solve this issue?
    Thanks.

You would have to provide screenshots of how it looks in PS, including the channels visible. MAX may have embedded extra channels that throw off AI. And of course check whether your PNG is actually 8bit, not 16bit.
