Favorite Markings Disappear

After marking my favorite sections of clips then going back and marking the unmarked parts of the clips as "reject" I then move rejected to trash but then lose all of my "favorite" markings. What's up with that?

When you moved rejected to trash, you may have selected "Show Rejected Clips Only". Now go back and choose "Show Favorites and Unmarked".

Moving clips loses favorite markings

So I'm editing, marking favorite sections of various clips on my MacBook Pro internal drive because it should be the fastest way to work with. Then I take those clips and move them to an external drive, excuse me, "copy" them since it doesn't allow a "move" function (that I'm aware of) like when moving events. I look at the clips on the external drive and all of the green lines, favorite markings, are now gone. Is this normal? If so, why? It loses the keywords as well. What could possibly be a good reason for this?
As a photographer I'm used to apps like Lightroom and Bridge where it is more of a what you see is what you get and all info travels with the image, seems like this should be the default here.

I am copying in iMovie, not the finder. I see when I move a clip from one event to another on the same hard drive the favorite green lines stay intact, it seems to only get removed when moving from one hard drive to another. I just moved an event from one drive to another drive and the green lines are indeed gone.
Any other clues will be appreciated.

If I drag a external drive from devices to favorites, it disappears

Whenever I plug in an external drive or USB drive it shows up in Devices, as usual. But if I drag it into the Favorites section, it disappears, and there is no way for me to access the files inside. The mac still recognizes the device but it is not accessable in finder. Even if I unplug it and replug it it still does not show up again. Even rebooting does nothing. Call me stupid, but what did I do? How can I access my files again?

You could try Data Rescue from Prosoft, but since you didn't have it installed prior to reformatting it most likely won't work. Since you reformatted, your best option would be professional data recovery services. None of which are cheap. I'd recommend OnTrack.

Contact pictures for favorites keep disappearing

this is really annoying. I keep having to add pictures to my favorite contacts and they keep disappearing. I've done it about 5 times. I go to the gallary, find a picture, size it and save it. They show up for awhile and then disappear. Any suggestions?

SCORE: Sustain Pedal + SMPTE-Lock = Ped. Markings Disappear (Bug?)

Sustain pedal markings normally displayed in the Score Editor will disappear from view if the region becomes SMPTE-locked. The controller information itself is still there (it can be seen via hyperdraw or in the event editor) but the pedal graphics disappear in Score. Doesn't seem normal. Can anyone confirm this lil' scenario?

Favorites Screen Disappeared...HELP Please!

Somehow I removed my Favorites screen from one of the 'home' screens. Does anyone know how to get it back or recreate it? Any help is appreciated..Thanks!!

Try the steps below to set your Favorites folder back up.

YouTube subscriptions and favorites have disappeared

Im using an apple tv second generation with IOS 5.1.
Recently, when I log into my YouTube account, both the subscriptions and favorites are missing, and I get an error that says "no content found."
Or more specifically, for subscriptions it says:
"there are no subscriptions for this account on YouTube"
I checked my YouTube account, and subscriptions still work, and sharing buttons are all activated (I also shut them off and turned them back on, saving both times, to see if this would make a difference).
I've noticed there are a number of older threads complaining about this, and many seem to be associated with apple tv updates.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

hello, such clean-up/tuning tools often do more harm than good. by default firefox will create a daily backup of your bookmarks for the 10 last days, which you can restore from within the bookmarks library. for more information about that, please see [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]].

I signed onto Firefox and all of my favorites have disappeared and I am unable to save favorites in Google. I've followed the instructions to no avail!!!!!

I ran System Mechanic (which I always do) but after restarting the computer I could not locate any of my bookmarks. This has never happened before.

Disappearing Favorites in an interview clip

I just selected some Favorites in an interview clip and then went into some other clips, but when I returned to the interview, all the favorites had disappeared in the browser under the clip, and when I searched for favorites, got the message thath nothing had been selected.
I'm using FCPX 10.0.9 on a Intel MacPro with OSX 10.7.5.

Ib the filter field, upper left of the event browser, choose Favorites and see whether theu now appear.

After Firefox 4.0 beta installed after Int.Explorer failed, my favorites disappeared

Whenever I opened the Drudge Report on Yahoo there was an error message at bottom site. I phoned Norton and I was referred to iyogi. I was told that I had 2619 registry errors, and they removed all but one, which resulted from Internet Explorer 7. I was told the only way to avoid the problem was to use Mozilla Firefox. That worked as to the Drudge problem but my Favorite list disappeared. I have limited tech skills, so I was unable to restore that Favorite list. Is there a way that list can be reinstalled.

Click on the Firefox button then select Options to open the Options dialog. Now go to the Sync panel for the option to setup a new account.

Network drive drag to Devices or Favorites: Disappears

I have a couple of working smb network drives. I connect to one using CMD+K. It appears on the Finder's content area. Now it is possible to drag the drive either to FAVORITES or DEVICES on the sidebar. However, if I drag drive1 to Favorites, it sticks, but if I drag drive1 to Devices, it just disappears. Then, if I drag drive2 to Favorites, it disappears, but if I drag drive2 to Devices, it sticks there.
What is going on? I just want to have all my network drives either in Favorites or Devices, but not separated.

One more time I'm bumping this. I have also tried making an alias (shortcut icon) for the network drive, and the alias will also not stick in Finder's Devices or Favorites. It just disappears after dragging it there. Is there any workaround?
With what logic do the drives stick or not "stick" (not disappear when dropping) in Devices and Favorites?

User Menu Web Favorites Disappear

I have a user that calls the helpdesk almost weekly because part of her favorites keep disappearing. She has created a folder in her favorties that contains web addresses. This is the only folder that disappears. I don't believe that she is accidentally deleting it, she is very comfortable and knowledgeable in our SAP environment. Does anyone have any suggestions on why this may be happening?

I am not 100% sure if it could be the cause. A quick check of my favourites shows that the ext. name being blank coincides with the entry being a folder.
I would do some specific testing while monitoring the SMEN_BUFFC table if I was you.

Favorite numbers on front of phone disappeared

My favorite numbers disappeared from my phone's homepage at the top. How can I get them back?

Are you talking about the widget that holds four of your favorite contacts? If so, go to Apps, then Widgets, and look for Favorite Contacts. Press on it and hold, and you'll be taken to your homescreen. Go to wherever you want it on your home screen (slide left/right if you want it on one of the other screens) and when it's where you want, let go so it will 'stick'.

Strange markings on screen...

A few things before I get to the point...
-got my MacBook Pro in late August
-I don't touch my screen at all, unless I am cleaning it.
-Nobody else uses my laptop except me.
About 2 months after I got my laptop I noticed some strange marks on my screen. I could only clearly notice them against a white background because they are grey/black.
2 marks close together at the top of the screen, I rarely noticed them. Only against a plain white background, even with little text against a white background it's hard to see. I didn't mind until about a month after that (probably less than that) I noticed another mark on my screen at the very right. It started to bother me and I decided to clean my screen with a damp soft cloth. There were a few smudges that I saw and got rid of them, turned my laptop back on and opened a blank web browser only to notice that they are still there.
I ignored it and continued when couple more markings showed up in the bottom left. Note that these markings are not smudges, but like little black / grey scratches or cracks. I can't physically feel it on the screen, so I'm assuming it has to do with something inside? I don't really know why I decided to post this now, but by the time a year is up with this laptop my whole computer will be covered in little black marks. I have tried hard to get them off, but I can't as they are not "on" the screen.
If you want me to take a picture with my digital camera against a white background I can to point out all the markings and, just takes me a few minutes to upload them.
Oh, and another important thing is that when I tilt my screen all the way back, so you are looking at the screen at an angle where it's turning dark but you can still see... the markings disappear as if they are not there. It's like I have a perfectly clean screen when I tilt it back, but when I look at it properly these markings appear.

There are a few more on my screen, but I didn't take a picture because it's pointless, it's the same thing over again. There are more of those types of marks on the bottom left and in a few other areas of the screen. It's annoying on a white screen, so...

My Yahoo toolbar has disappeared and also my "bookmarks". How do I get them back on both gmail and yahoo?

I am quite dismayed at changes that have recently been made on my two email accounts; gmail and yahoo.
My yahoo toolbar has completely disappeared along with the bookmarks of which I had several.
Not long ago my "favorites" list disappeared and I had to replace it with "bookmarks".
WHAT IS GOING ON?
I also do not like the e-mail changes with the send box having the "send" and other tools on the BOTTOM. How awful. Change doesn't always mean "better".
Will you please advise me as to how I may get my toolbar and bookmarks back?
ALSO, the e-mails do not fit my computer screen and many times I have shut down the e-mail and re-enter my passwords in order to get out of a page. CAN YOU FIX THIS? Everything worked so well before.
Please tell me where I can get help with these items. I AM A VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.
