Favourites boxes wont work

Help - about a week ago I have been unable to select any thing in any of my favourites listings.
When I click on the favourites tab, and then go to bookmarks then take my cursor down my list of favourite sites to select the one I want, I get like a ghosting of a highlight box and this has a very small square in the top right hand corner of the highlighted box, nothing opens this ghosting moves as the mouse moves.
Now if I select open all bookmarks, and choose either an individual site, or a folder with same sites saved, I can click on my choice and it will open from there.
On ringing my local computer tech, he suggested uninstalling, restarting and reinstalling firefox which I have done but nothing has resolved itself.
I have taken a screen shot of the ghosting, but have no idea how to attach it to this query - I have gone through all the troubleshooting stuff but still cant find any questions or stuff that seems to be anything like the problem I am having.
Due to this problem, I have had to start using Internet Explorer which I hate and this is a program I have not used for nearly 7 years since I first had Mozilla installed by my computer tech.
Hope you can help me, and I really need things spelt out as simply as possible as I am not a computer person as such.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

I have had this problem for about a week, when I try to use the favourites sites I have saved - none of them open. A kind of highlight box appears around the choosen and there is a very small square in the upper right corner of this highlight box.

Asha 301 phone - headset wont work

Ok. So I purschased this Nokia 301 here the other day. Today it arrived at my local post office, and i picked it up. When I wrapped it up and charged it up, i discovered the headphones in the box wont work - my phone wont detect them. It seems like they arent there. And the phone was new when I tried the headset, so dirt and dust havent found its way into my phone.

I had the same problem. I figured a way to make it work.
Your phone have to be on the Music Player mode. If you put it on the homepage, the headset control doesn't work. You can still lock you phone though.
The go to setting>phone>accessories>Headset, set default profile to "General" or the profile you are using. Turn on automatic answer. Then set headset as default in accessory settings.

My preview box wont isn't working, and my project won't open

Not only does the video not play back in the preview box (but it will play back in full screen), but I have a project that wont open at all. Its a seven minute video so far and it suddenly wont let me view it. Its still listed under Project Library but I cant access it. This happened after my iMovie froze while I was playing the project back.
My system preferences are updated, and I read and followed someones elses directions to delete both "com.apple.iMovieApp.plist" and "com.apple.iApps.plist" but that didnt do anything. This is all on my desktop so I cant take the whole thing into apple! Lol. Please any suggestions would help. I put so much time into it I would hate to have to start all over again! Especially with no preview box working :/

Ok figured out that my project was corrupt (idk how) and when I removed it out of iMovie projects folder than the preview box started working again... How confusing.

Headsets don't come with the iPad. All you get is the iPad, USB cable and wall charger.

I'm trying to set up a php site and i havent used Dreamweaver
for a few years. Im finding that my links wont work. I am using IIS
on vista with my root folder in
http://localhost/wwwroot/msite
but the links from the php page keep pointing to
http://localhost/mysite (mysite
is not in this folder).
Also, when i test the php page in firefox i get a different
name in the browser for the page than what i originally named it,
instead of 'index.php' i get 'tmp2px68f19s.php'
In the site definition dialog box i have put '

as
the http address of my site.
Any ideas what i've done wrong?

That just means that you have temp files enabled in your
Preview in Browser

My ipod mini is showing Three of the icons and wont work.

My ipod mini is showing Three of the icons and wont work. Its showing the uncharged icon when plugged into my computer but when i plug it in to the wall, the apple comes and then swithes to the sad ipod icon. Before it goes back to the apple it shows the icon for the battery with an exclamation piont for like 1/2 a second. It repeats. The ipod has been telling me attempting to copy failed. could not be read from or written to for like 6 months but i just press sync again and it works. today it did that but then another box came up that said could not be read from or written to file or directory has been corrupted. then i restored it and it wouldnt let me press only sync checked items. so i had to drag songs to the ipod to get them on it and i was listening to it and a song stoped at six seconds and i ptressed skip and it didnt change for like 20 min so i reset it and now its doing this. does it need serviced? is it worth it or should i get a new one?

The first thing is to check for corrpt files. So go to my computer and open the iPod drive and post a screen cap of the files. Do a couple of different ones...like one of the main drive page and then one of iPod_Control and one of the iPod_Control Music folder.

The circled files (with the exception of # 12) are the ones that I ended up deleting.

In order to show some of the files, you have to go to the top of the page, press "tools", "folder options", "view" and then "show hidden files and folders".
When you go to the music folder and delete excess files, you don't need to worry about loosing your music because it's all safe on iTunes.

Speed Touch 330 Modem wont work in OSX but it does in XP Pro..

If you knew the history of this modem you would not have ever plugged into your Mac.
This modem has been around in one form or another for the last 6 years and it has NEVER improved on the Mac.
It has caused kernel panics, crashes, breaking your OS, never working, never connecting working 1 minute not the next etc.
USB modems can't be networked
USB modems dont work with airport technology
USB modems provide no firewall security
USB modems will not work with ADSL2 so will be obsolete in 1 year anyway!!!!
If you really knew about networking then you would not even use this modem on a windows box either.
USB modems should not be used for networking ADSL because they are in efficient and require drivers to work. The Drivers are often buggy.
The ONLY long term solution is to use an ethernet adsl modem/router.

hmm, why use a 'piece of rubbish' modem worth nothing on your £3k equipment.
That is like spending 3k on a hi fi system and using £3 audio cables. for a 3k hifi you should be spending £200 on cables if not more.
Anyway it does not cost £60 for an ethernet ADSL modem you can get them for as little as £30.

Forget about going backwards to 5.0 it is old news, your problem can be solved.
More than likely your cache is taking you back to the same page, try clearing it.

Hardware:: Audigy 2 ZS (Internal Breakout Box)Im not sure what has happened, I had my power supply fail over the weekend and now my breakbox wont work, everything is hooked up correctly, Ive triple checked everything. Try swapping with another power connector for the I/O dri've bay. Some other users in the forum mention before that swapping with another power connector for the I/O dri've help fix some problem they encounter.

Airport wont work now!

I have been happily using my airport with a belkin FSD 7633 4 adsl router for over a year. I just bought airport express to work with itunes, followed instruction but it doesnt work. Found post to say that my router and AE not compatible, but now my airport wont work at all and I'm back on the cables! Is there a way to reset my Airport and start again? Should I buy a new router and if so what would be compatible?

First...Stop screaming. It's rude.
Next...there are some minor problems with your feed. "Drum n Bass" is not a iTunes category. Stick with <itunes:category text="Music" /> remove the others.
Not required, but recommend to add an <itunes:explicit> tag with a Y or N depending on what suits your podcast. The iTunes staff will remove your feed if it isn't tagged properly.
MP3 audio files should have a type="audio/mpeg".
Keep the Podcast spec handy...the categories and other info listed in the spec.
Test your feed with http://www.feedvalidator.org it will point out problems with your feed.
The bigger problems stem from your podcast enclosure, specifically the URL.
The URL you have listed to the podcast mp3 apparently has changed so iTunes can't download the file. It also appears that you are using a "free download" kind of service that uses web page based downloads, which might account for why the URL keeps changing. Don't think that iTunes will be able to properly download the file.

Which one are you talking about? If it is the first one (blue, magnifying glass) why not add the padding to the text?
You can wrap the swf in its own div and float the div...
