  • Microsoft Messaging Queue and SAP XI .. Possible?

    Hi All,
How can we integrate MS MQ with SAP XI? Its urgent.
    Ranjeet Singh.

    Hi Ashish,
I thought I have mentioned the answer. Well in my case,
the system that i need to integrate can communicate with external system through MS MQ or if the target system does not understadn MS MQ then it has a component which enable file  based commumnication.
so I will have two solution for the integration:
    1. Either buy iWay Adapter for communicating with MS MQ .
    2. if client is not ready to buy the adapter , then we have use the file based communication. In this case I need to use File adapter.
    3. If at all , (in rare case) client is not ready to install the component which enables file based communication , then we have to write .Net code to retrieve xml message from MS MQ . .Net provides standard API for MS MQ.  I have tested this case also.
    Hope it is clear.

  • Queue alerts container variables are not getting filled

    Hi All,
I am referring this blog to create alerts when message struck in queues
    /people/santhosh.kumarv/blog/2009/05/19/sap-xipi-alerts-for-queue-errors
I am able to get the alert when a message struck in Queue of XI. But Container variables are not filled with actual run time values
I have used the report as it is and container variables as described in blog.
I have implemented Alerts for IE & AE alerts, those are looks good as expected.
Please let me know any clue
    Regards

    Hi,
After investigating all the things i found these
    1) We have already Integration Engine & Adapter Engine Alerts configured in landscape with separate alert categories & working fine
    2) Now i configured one more alert category for Queue error with the above mentioned Blog
Important thing: is even though if any error occurred on Integration engine, i get 2 alerts. one with Integration Engine alert category description  & one more is with Queue alert category description
Reason for this is, for Queue alert category i selected radio button as "No Restriction". because of this if any IE error occurred also queue alert category is also triggering along with Integration engine alert category .
Please let me know is it possible to implement Queue alerts along with the IE & AE type alert categories
Any one implemented IE, AE & Queue alerts in single landscape

  • Message flow in SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only for ABAP Proxy synchronous scenario with Oracle DB

    Dear Experts,
I am working on a synchronous scenario Sender ABAP Proxy <===> SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only <===> Oracle Database.I have successfully
configured all the proxy configurations as well both Sender SOAP and JDBC receiver channels are showing no error when pinged from
    Cc monitoring in NWA.
1.During testing at Tx SPROXY , I am triggering a message and after 5 minutes I receive an PARSING error message with 2 messages in ECC
    local IE i.e. Tx SXMB_MONI.
Note : In NWA , I can see only 1 message that too in cancelled status.
2.Seeing the trace of the messages I assume that the messages have not moved from sender ECC system. I am still confused with flow of message
from the Message Audit log. Audit log of error messages.Could any one share the full Audit log of a successful message generated in SAP PI 7.31 JAVA only.
3.I observed that the QIN Scheduler status in ECC is in INACTIVE status. There is no queue id for 2 messages generated in ECC. Does
it should in ACTIVE status in Tx SMQR..
    Regards
    Rebecca

    Hi Thomas,
    Valuable inputs..
    1. Since I don't have any audit log for successful message, would you be able to share referring to the
below screenshot whether the message was put into receiver JDBC adapter and JDBC adapter tried to retrieve the Select response from Oracle Database.
2.I have done some setting in Advance mode of the receiver JDBC to increase the time out and other parameters as per SAP note but still the issue is same. If you perhaps have some experience in such scenarios, please share some input so that I can ask the Oracle Database administrator exactly what is required from our side.
3.Regarding the slow response from Oracle , there was some suggestion that the datatype of the request and response should match the column name of the Oracle database. I did that.. Do you have any more suggestion that may be hampering the generation of the response message from the Oracle like SAP note or document.

  • Clearing JAVA Message Queue in PI 7.1

    Hi Experts
I am working on a file to File Scenario, and file has been picked up on the sender CC and mesaages have been sent to JAVA queues, But the messages are stuck on the JAVA queues,
    Java Queue name: File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/SystemRecv
How can I clear the JAVA message queue in PI 7.1
    Thanks
    PR

If the messages are on the queue, usually one of the actions must be performed: a) Fix the related scenario and restart the messages or b) Manually cancel the messages. This is also advised on the note below under item "3. Troubleshooting Archiving / Deletion in the Adapter Framework"
[Note 872388 - Troubleshooting Archiving and Deletion in PI|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/872388]
If you are having performance problems, please check if the messages are taking long time in TBDL/Holding status. Let us know if this is the case.

I tried to use the method setConversationID  for the Message Class, but this doest seem to available any more.
Any pointers to which class and method can be used.

Hi, try [setSequenceId|http://help.sap.com/javadocs/pi/pi711sp03/com/sap/engine/interfaces/messaging/api/Message.html#setSequenceId(java.lang.String)]. Maybe you have to use setDeliverySemantics before in order to set EOIO.

  • Add "Payload" to Message Monitoring Alerts

I am following the How to Guide on Monitor XI 3.0.
I have set up an Alert with varibales as per section 4.2 - Message Based Alerting.  All working well and emailing notifications of failiures.
I have searched Help.sap.com, http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/1b9259fb002be8e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm and found I can add specific fields from the payload, but I want to attach the whole message...
Is it possible to add the "message Payload to the notification" as well??  If so,where can find more info on this??

    Hi Barry,
If you want your Alerts to be genearted automatically in the background, then I guess only the container variables available on SAP help can be used.
But if you are looking to use alerts in BPM, then I think this weblog by michal might help you,

  • Fax Cover Sheet from SAP / Rightfax

    Hi,
My requirement is to generate a cover sheet whenever a PO/SO/any document is faxed. We have Rightfax through SMTP/SAP Connect configured. Rightfax does provide a generic cover sheet option but it can only contain the fax numbers and recipient name. It suggests to use SAP Cover sheet. Have few questions, and here they goes:
    1. How can I enable SAP Coversheet? Even after checking the option for cover page I am not able to get any cover page and may have been disabled. I've also checked SAP note 553113 but wanted to check if there's any other way as well.
    2. After I have enabled cover sheet and lets assume the Standard cover sheet is copied in a ZForm, how can I ensure that always the zform cover sheet will processed? I am not able to find any configuration setting for it. I've research to find that SAP uses SO41 OFFICE-TELEFAX coversheet. This observation can be seen when I goto SO02 -> New Message -> Goto -> Fax , a pop up window appears which asks for Fax details. On Top Right, one can check the cover page option but the Coverpage is always specified as 'STANDARD'.
    3. Researched a lot. SDN & Google but not able to come to a conclusion for any specific solution. Appreciate if anyone has worked on this requirement, please share their ideas. There's no much help available as well (seen as much available links in SDN and Google). Basically, the requirement is just to generate a generic fax cover sheet from SAP.
    Thanks,
    Santosh Verma

    Hi,
Thanks for your time in looking the issue.
    @ Sandra,
I've already researched on SDN and google and have visited this link as well. It wasn't of much help. But thanks again.
    @ Weidong,
Actually thought of that solution but wanted to check if there's any generic way. Please let me know further on 'You need change configuration for fax - output type.'. Are you referring to NACE output type configuration?
    Let me add more:
    1. If we set the Parameter 'BCS_NO_FAX_COVER' to 'X' in TMV/SM30 'SXPARAMS', this way, the Fax cover sheet from SAP can be enabled of disabled. This cover sheet uses the Form OFFICE_TELEFAX_M in SE71 (SO43). What worries me, even if I copy the standard to custom, how to make sure that custom form is printed as there is no place where i am able to find any configuration. SAP note 553113 says to edit this form in SE71, that's it.
    2. The other solution is right fax generic cover sheet. Which is generated right now, but with limited info. The Right Fax documentation recommends to use SAP Cover Sheet as the Right Fax cover sheet does not provide much details except Senders Fax No, Recipients Fax Number and Name. This cannot be of much help.
    3. Use a custom form. A custom form which will contain cover sheet data, independent of SAPConnect. This form has to be generated at runtime. This is one of the approaches thought but here's the list of issues with it:
    a. The print program has to be modified as well. Issue when using standard print program. At same time, i think in FP_JOBOPEN one has to specify the cover page as well. Looks good for custom print programs.
    b. Our requirement also looks for mass fax. For eg: lets say, i have to fax, around 10 PO's, there should only be one cover sheet for all the 10 fax documents. This solution may not help here.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Santosh

  • About message queue in message mapping?

    Hi SDNer,
I have been read help.sap.com and sdn threads about message queue
I hope this thread should be help for all like me.
    thank you
    Sha

    Hi Shankar,
XI uses Queue's to store messages, If you worked on message mapping you can see the how queue look like,
Every queue having context ,it separate the values,it store the messages in highrarchy manner.
Using Context Handling we resoleve context issues.
Using node functions we aceive Context Handling.
Search in SDN there is some good blogs abt Node Functions, if you understand nodefunction you wil understand the Queue concepts.

  • SWIFT Message Structure in SAP XI

    Hi Frnds,
Can anyone worked on SWIFT Message Structure, How to handle SWIFT Message Structure in SAP XI,
Which Adapter we have to use ??
I have to woek on one scenario to integration of R/3 and SWIFTNet Server to transfer banking information.
Can anyone share some inputs ,useful links.
    Thanks .
    Raj

    Hi ,
Pls find Overview of SWIFT message structure
SWIFT messages consist of five blocks of data. In addition, the MQSA component adds two blocks that are used for queue management. The high-level structure of a SWIFT message is as follows:
    MQSA UUID
    SWIFT 1:Basic Header Block
    SWIFT 2: Application Header Block
    SWIFT 3:User Header Block
    SWIFT 4: Text Block
    SWIFT 5: Trailer
    MQSA S Block
    Note:
The MQSA component adds the UUID (User Unique Message Identifier) and S blocks. Neither are parsed by the SWIFT data handler. The S block has the same structure as SWIFT block 5, except that field tags consist of three char strings. For example, }.
For further information on SWIFT message structure, see Appendix C, SWIFT message structure, and All Things SWIFT: the SWIFT User Handbook.

    Hi ,
You need to check with your BASIS team whether they have SAP Fax /email /PDF services implemented or active.
Most of the clients would have activated Email//PDF process , but not fax ...So check with your techies and there are specific notes available on service.sap.com which will walk you through the required set-by-step implementaiton. Please download these notes from sap oss site.

  • Message Queue vs RFC Queue

Can anyone tell me what's the difference between Message Que and RFC Queue?
    Thanks
    Mark

    Dear,
Connectionless programming involves using a queue to hold user input to another application or server. Here, we may not have a permanent connection to the application or server. Instead you log your input in a queue and the other application or server then takes it from the queue, processes it, and sometimes it may put the result back to the same queue or to a different queue. Unlike UDP, here there is no chance of message or data loss once you log it into queues.
The Connection oriented is different from the aforementioned and talks about any standard database system (DBMS, RDBMS, OODBMS and ORDBMS) available these days. Presumably, I don't think that there should be an explanation required for connection oriented programming. Unlike TCP/IP, there is no chance of data packet loss and it will bring the data packet to the required destination.
In short, message queue is purely connectionless and gives an assurance that it won't lose any data which is in the queue.
Message queue will be used :
a.Storing insignificant information in the message queue while your database server is busy with other real time processing.
b.Process user input which is given by the user after getting supporting information from other source or applications that are not active or ready at this stage.
c.Because of database server outage, you might require keeping user input in the message queue and processing it as and when the database comes online.
d.Exchanging data with a mainframe system like SAP. Personally, the real time communication with SAP is often a problem. In such cases, the SAP system uses message queue for storing and forwarding information where real time communication is not possible at that time.
    RFC Queue:
Communication between applications in different systems in the SAP environment includes connections between SAP systems as well as between SAP systems and non-SAP systems. Remote Function Call (RFC) is the standard SAP interface for communication between SAP systems. RFC calls a function to be executed in a remote system.
In short, essentially application infrastructure and business requirements determine whether you should use a message queue or not. Personally, I would suggest that itu2019s a good idea to work with a tool for a while so that you can get to the solution in which you should use it.

  • Manipulating message queues

    Hi,
I found the following command/line to manipulate message queue settings to display messages either in status bar or as alerts. But I am not sure how n where to use this.
    "qms$forms_errors.set_oracle_message_target"
Can any one share more details about this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Herbert,
Can we achieve the same (displaying all messages either in status bar or as alerts) in Forms 10g without using Headstart packages/libraries?
Please do not suggest to modify ON-ERROR or ON-MESSAGE triggers to do that. Is there any single statement/procedure to do that at application level.
