Fax Send&Receive Problem

Hi,
We have 2801 CME router. Also I connected a fax to this CME. But it gives communication error when sending fax and sometimes receiving. I tried with ATA and FXS ports but still the same problem. When I connect an analog phone to this line I can make calls and receive calls. Also when I connect directly analog line to fax (no cme) it works no problem. What can be the problem ? (Also I tried with two faxes) Can there be a software bug?

Hi,
FAXes can be particularly picky when it comes to line quality. Especially G3 faxes are a nightmare in an IPT environment.
I've been able to get some faxes working by disabling ECM (error correction mode) on it. As far as I know, this is only for sending. So this means that someone trying to send a fax to one of your fax machines would have to disable ECM on theirs.

FAX SEND/RECIEVE PROBLEM

We have a Centralized Call manager cluster That are running MGCP we have:
1. three VG224
2. two Voice gateway running (E1 PRI )
issue # 1
- when we send a fax from one fax that is connected to one VG224 to another that is connected to anothe VG224 failure occur.
issue # 2
-When we send fax to PSTN :
a-one fax can send and receive with no problem ( TOSHIBA)
b-another Fax that are connected to another VG224 can send but the receving sometime fail and sometime we have part of the fax received.(
the phone connected to the fax are working okay and we have a dial tune.)
What I have tried:
1.Change the VG224.
2.Connect both fax on the same VG224 still have the same situation.
3.connect the fax that does not send or receive on the port of the working fax solve the problem work fine.
Note: I see some SLIP error under the controllerr interface and I notice that when I go out with line xxxx1607 it works fine whatever the port on the VG224 when I go out with xxxx1648 it failed knowing that the xxxx1607 is the line of the working fax and the xxxx1648 is the line of the failed fax.
- I have attache the Voice gate way and VG224 sample configuration.

If the calls only fail when going through the gateway with slip sec errors, then it probably the cause of the failures. Add "network-clock-se
lect 1 E1 0/0/0"
The VG224 configuration is also missing the commands to enable modem/fax passthrough.
Add the following,
voice service voip
fax protocol none
modem passthrough nse codec g711ulaw

Send/Receive problem in Outlook for Mac 2011

Ever since I installed Lion and iCloud my Outlook for Mac application will not receive mail unless I manully click the Send/Receive button. I have checked the schedule button under Preferences.
Prior to the installation of Lion and iCloud I received mail automatically.
ANy ideas for settings?

Hi. I had same problem. All you need is to change outgoing and incoming servrrs. I had smtp.me.com and mail.me.com instead of smtp.mail.me.com and imap.mail.me.com, as described here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864
It was working up to yesterday. You may need just change servers names in account options in outlook. Be ready to full message database rebuilding

Socket data send-receive problem

I hv J2ME client application and vb.net socket server application communicating over sockets. Client connection is made successfully but cant send data to server. When I exit from client application then server application receives those data. (application works pretty fine on emulator but on real device gives above problem)
WTK Sample application gives same problem when I tried.
Any idea abt this problem ? gr8 ful if u have some working code.

yeah your idea works..
I hv used flush() method and now it works (Live on Nokia E62) nicely.
But to keep connection opened during whole application I dont close InputStream/OutputStream connection. I close it only at EXIT of application so that I get optimum performace in transactions.

Mac mail problems sending receiving problems

I'm having a problem with mac mail for the first time. I am unable to send or receive email. It was working perfectly yesterday and this morning nothing.
It said I was unable to connect with the server and unable to verify my username and password. After an hour long converstion with my DSL carrier
all my passwords are verified. I have sent out test emails to friends and nothing is showing up in my sent folder.
Any thoughts suggestions on how to fix this.

Same here, I have Maverick, My exchange email keeps prompting me for my password, I know it is correct as i can access through Web. I deleted all email accounts off of phone, pad, Mac Book and I Mac. I deleted the entries inkeychain that had to do with the email accounts, I verified and repaired the keychain. Then entered my exchange email account aagin, it did find it and started downloading all entries. Then I added back my I cloud to the I mac. for some reason it again cant recongnize my password. help!

Message sending/ receiving problems and contact status issues.

Been using the Skype on my Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) with Droid 4.4.2 for several months now without any issues, however in the last few days it's been plagued with problems (It has recently had an update, 5.8.0.13549). While on mobile data it will often outright refuse to send or receive messages or calls, other apps and internet all work fine and it shows me as connected. While on mobile data and on wifi it doesn't display contacts status correctly, with some online people being offline, some offline people being online and people who are away being either online or offline. I have tried clearing the app data and also tried to reinstall the app, it had the same issues after both. Nothing else on my phone has changed. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm also having the same problem as you. I'm using a galaxy S5 phone. Didn't do anything but since the last update I've been experiencing the same problems as yours.. Have you fixed it at all?How do you downgrade or revert back to the old version, where everything seems to be working well/

TB 24.2; Mac 10.6.8; send & receive problem after upgrade - must click either TWICE or doesen't work. WHY? How to fix?

I used TB 2 for years with no problems. Got stupid one day and upgraded to 24.2 on Mac OS 10.6.8.
Now when I click send I get an error message. After dismissing the error clicking send a second time sends the email normally.
The other half of the problem is Get Mail. Click it once and nothing happens except the little line on the bottom comes up connecting to .. . but it doesn't connect. Click Get Mail a second time and it works normally.
I have a new Mac (Maverick) and TB 24.2 doesn't have this problem on the new machine.

Just bought an iPhone, SMS sending/receiving problems...

I recently purchased an iPhone earlier today and have since activated my phone. I transfered the phone number from an old phone to the iPhone. I got an email verifying that everything had been transferred and that I could now make calls out with my iPhone. While that works, I can send and recieve calls, it is not working with SMS text messages. I send the messages but they never arrive to where I send them, nor can I receive them. Funnily enough, I can still send and receive them from my old phone. When I call my cell phone, my iPhone rings, but not my old phone. So it seems as if calling is being sent to my iPhone but texting is still being sent to my old phone. I just activated the iPhone a couple hours ago, is it possible that I still have to wait a while before the texting starts working on the phone too? It doesn't make any sense as to why my old phone can still send and receive them. If anyone has any idea of what's going on or what to do, thanks a lot.

It can take 24-36 hrs before SMS acts properly after porting a number from another phone. You may find later that you can send but not receive, and this is the same issue. If it has not resolved itself in 48 hrs contact AT&T to see what the situation is. But until that time, be patient.

N82 message sending&receiving problem

Welcome to the Nokia forum.
If it takes a long time to receive messages, or the messages arrive much later than you've sent them, this is caused by your operator. It might be that the SMS settings are somehow configured incorrectly on your phone though, so there might be something you can do about this yourself.
Perform a soft reset by entering *#7780# into your phone and default security code 12345, unless you've changed this code yourself.
Now go into your Message settings and go to the message centre number. Write it down, delete and save it, then re-enter the number and save to refresh the memory.
If the above doesn't fix the issue, contact your operator and ask for a different SIM card.

TS3899 IPhone 4S mail send/receive problem

This has happened three times. After getting the mail up and running it will work for a time and then fail again. We have deleted the account and set it back up. we have deleted and resetup the network settings. We have downloaded and installed all available updates. Each time this has occurred we have been able to the mail back but then it fails again. The mail account is a POP account What causes this? and how can I stop it?
Below this question box asks about the OS. I know I downloaded an update to the OS but I'm not sure what the version was. I know it is in the 6 range. The phone is a customers and I don't have it with me tonight.

IMessage send/receive failure

Is anyone else having trouble sending and receiving iMessages? The problem started a few days ago for me. When I try to send an iMessage it looks like it's sending and the status bar up top looks as if it's just about finished loading, but it never actually completes the delivery. I tried re-starting my phone several times..no luck. My friends are telling me that they sent me multiple iMessages, but I don't see anything on my phone. Strange.

Yes, iMessage setting is turned on. If it cannot send as iMessage it's supposed to send as a text, but I found that I have to manually do this each time. I spoke with some friends and they are experiencing the same iMessage send/receive problem.

10.5.7 cannot send & receive faxes

Using the latest version of Leopard(10.5.7) it is not possible to set your mac to RECEIVE faxes and then SEND faxes.
So each time you want to send a fax you need to go into System Preferences, Print & Fax, choose "External Modem", click on "Receive Options", then untick "Receive Faxes" – then you can switch to the document you want to fax and print it.
Once the fax has fully completed, you have to go back and re-tick "Receive Faxes".
If you have Receive Faxes ticked in System Preferences when you are trying to send a fax, it causes the fax queue to hang and only a reboot can resolve the issue. Simply deleting the job from the queue does nothing.
We are using the official Apple USB Modem and latest software in a medical clinic, so the fax is very important to us.
Applecare has assured us the issue is being working on – who can tell when it will be resolved.
If you are considering a mac to use in your office and need it to work as a fax, do not assume it will function as advertised.

We have downloaded a trial copy of PageSender but have found that when faxing documents from Microsoft Word, it is extremely slow. Sometime 5 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes it simply never sends the fax at all and just sits in the queue.
PageSender support is aware of the problem and seem to think it might be font related with Leopard, but I am not comfortable deleting fonts that are installed on our computer.
FAXstf PRO also looks good, but as far as I can tell they do not offer a trial version of their software that works with Leopard. They do offer a trial, but only for Panther and Tiger.
Since both Apple's and PageSenders fax solution do not meet the minimum requirement of being able to send & receive a fax, we will not spend money on FAXstf PRO hoping it will work.
I have tried emailing SmithMicro to get an updated trial of their software and will let people know whether I am successful and it works as advertised.

Problem sending/ receiveing SMS on a particular port in an intercarrier n/w

I am using JSR 120 to send & receive SMS on a particular port. This works perfectly between 2 devices using the same carrier.
if I try sending & receive inter-carrier SMS, like from T-Mobile device to Cingular device (or vice-versa), my j2me app does not receive any SMS on the port it is listening to.
When the SMS with a port is sent from my app, I get the prompt for permission to send. On pressing OK, the SMS is sent. On the receiving side, the device on the another carrier network receives the SMS in the default inbox, & not by my app.
I am not sure if this is a inter-carrier SMSC issue or something to do with my app.
Pl help.

Has anyone come across the above mentioned problem? Pl let me know if there is any solution.
Question simply put : When a j2me sms midlet sends an sms on a unique port to another j2me sms midlet listening on the same port, but served by a different carrier (cellular operator), why does the sms go to device inbox & not to my midlet?
