Fax template: I want no header on page 2

I've created a fax template with my name and contact info as the header and footer on page 1, but want the header and footer to not appear on any subsequent pages. How do I do this?

I don't think you need the section break. With the cursor in the body of the first page, check First page is different in the section tab of the layout inspector, then enter your header & footer info in the header & footer on the first page. Unlike other word processors I've used, Pages doesn't automatically suppress the headers & footers on the first page of a section. If you entered data in the header or footer on the first page, that will be displayed & suppressed on the remainder. To suppress it on the first page, the information must be entered on the second or later page.

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The door to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your users Library will appear about halfway down the list.

What black background?
If it is black background in the actual photo:
Menu > Format > Instant Alpha > drag the cursor over the colored background you wish to remove

Want a header image on asp page

I run a purchased application that is an asp based directory.
I want to insert a JPEG banner image at the top of the page.
Dreamweaver inserts it and displays it in design view but
when I 'put' the file, nothing shows up.
I want to keep this simple to do as I'm not building the asp
code for this but I want to brand the pages with my logo above all
the database content.

For now I managed to insert near the top left a text
hyperlink - CLICK HERE FOR Lures and Tours Home Page
At the least I would like that to be an image rollover. I
can't get Dreamweaver to understand the path to the jpg's even if I
put the jpg's in the same folder as the application. I'd prefer to
leave them in /public/images but "whatever".

There is no HTML Header on Page Zero. The equivalent would be to use the page template.
It's also possible to place JavaScript in HTML regions on Page Zero, but I wouldn't consider this a good practice. JavaScript is better kept in external files and referenced using the SRC attribute.

How do I apply a DWT template to a selection of html page files?

I have a very large web site to bring over from another suppliers product into Dreamweaver CC 2014 on Windows 8.1.
The pages are "standard" htm pages with no DWT attached.
I wish to apply a DWT to a selection of pages only at a time.
There are a few thousand pages which I can only deal with in batches on a load, apply template, test basis, daily.
The only options I can see are the individual page or the entire site.
Dealing with individual pages is impractical, a mammoth task, so I need something more streamlined.
In other products I can select the pages in the files column and apply the template solely to those pages, with or without opening them.
Can I do this in any way on Dreamweaver?

This is all I want to be able to do in Dreamweaver. A major revamp is out of the question.
It is from the help in Microsoft Expression Web 4. It works.
It was also available last century in Microsoft FrontPage.

To attach pages to a Dynamic Web Template
In the Folder List panel, select the file(s) that you want to attach to the DWT. To select multiple files, press CTRL and hold, and then click the files that you want to attach.
On the Format menu, point to Dynamic Web Template, and then click Attach Dynamic Web Template.
Locate and click the DWT you want to attach, and then click Open.
If the body of a selected web page contains content, the Match Editable Regions dialog box appears. The dialog box displays the default settings for mapping content from the body of the web page to editable regions specified by the DWT. The Old column lists content in the body of the web page. The New column lists editable regions specified by the template.
In the Match Editable Regions dialog box, do one of the following:
To move all of the content in the body of the web page to the default editable region, click OK. If the default editable region contains content, that content is replaced with the content in the web page.
To move all of the content in the body of the web page to a specific editable region, click (Body), and then click Modify. In the New Region list, click the editable region you want to move the content to. If you click (none), the content is removed from the web page.
To maintain all of the content and structure of the web page, click Skip Current Page. The template is not attached to the page.

I am doing development in sharepoint 2010 and facing this very weird problem.
If I create a site page with the sharepoint look and feel for that site and try to save the site page,i am getting this error:**"Content in the embedded form may be changed by the the server to remove unsafe content.Do you want to reload your page to see
the results of the save? "** and when i say reload,the server removes some parts of my page, e.g onclick event of html,asp buttons.
This error just comes for any sharepoint site page,e.g i took a copy of 'How To Read Library' page just edited the text part of taht page,and when i try to save this error again comes up.
However,if i create a simple aspx page with only htmltags like head body,then thr is no problem ,everything works great. But sharepoint look and feel pages are giving troubles while saving.
has anybody seen this earlier,what could be the reason for this?

I think the excerpt and link below is the why, but the page talks about server code and not javascript. I guessing that this is why blank pages work, but not wiki pages. Can anyone verify this?

Yes you can by learning how to style your links: I suggest try this link:

Make sure these new links are local to your pages. this is done by putting the styles in the header section (avoid using inline styles for reasons best kept secret to avoid arguments).

Click in the editable region in the Template file. Right
click on the
mmeditable tag you see on the tag selection and choose Remove
Tag from the

Yes but how are they going to create the Landscape versions?
The problem with doing it in Pages '09 as rotated content is that the Headers and Footers are not rotated and there is inherent clumsiness in the rotated content usually being too large for the page when viewed at 90°.
Best to make it in two or more separate documents.

Why Do Pages Headers Go Away on a Two Page Document When I select No Header for Page One

In the PAGES application. I am writing a simple business letter I copied from a prior letter. The letter is two pages long. I add a header in the second page and it appears on the first page as well. I correct the problem, and unselect the box that indicates I want the same header on all pages. The header goes away on page one and on page two.
I cannot access a header for page two. It is as gone as gone can be.
I assume there is at least some amount of QA on this stuff, or do the customers do all of that?

I want to make sure I understand.
So I want to write a simple business letter, say to you. All standard settings, profile for a business letter.
I write the first page, and I happen to go one paragraph into the second page. At the upper right hand corner of the second page I "mouse over" the header, select the right side box, and enter To Peter, Page Two. Then I navigate to Document Inspector, under headers and footers, I select "Hide on First Page of Section." But that is not right? Because it doesn't solve my problem?
Just to make sure I understand, even though I am in the second page of the section, selecting the option will make the page headers go away for page one and page two? Forgive me I appreciate your help and am not blaming you. Apple expects me to not only go through the search to find this setting as it does not default, but Apple also wants me to create a second section for the second page, and then enter the header, then navigate to Documents Inspector and then select "Hide on First Page of Section?"
By the time I go through all of that, then save and print the two business pages, I then create an envelope in a new Pages document. Give it a name, enter your address, and then print, and save the envelope.

Crystal Reports 9: Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.

I have a report that has the following sections.
GH1
GH2a
GH2b - has a sub report
GH2c - has another sub report
GH3
GH4
GH5
details - suppressed
GF5 - suppressed
GF4 - suppressed
GF3 - suppressed
GF2 - suppressed
GF1 - suppressed
The report works fine wehn I run it using Crystal Designer.I am using CR version 9.2.2.693.
When I try to load the report in my application, I get the following error.

Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.Error in File rptName.rpt:
Page header or footer longer than a page.

There are no 'suppress blank sections' option set in the sections where the sub-Reports are.
I also tried setting the No Default Printer option.
The report gets loaded from the application only when I set 'New Page after' in the sections where there are sub-Reports.
I do not want to do this; Is there a workaround?

Can someone tell me if this problem is being worked on as it looks as thogh none of the problems regarding the message u2018Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the pageu2019 have been addressed.
We have several reports that were written in Crystal 7 (I think) and worked in Crystal 9 and X1R2 but now give the above error. We have tried jigging the report in line with the various suggestions but at best can get them to run through successfully with one lot of data and then fail on the second or subsequent pages when you vary the data or report format even slightly. We can report on every bit of data separately or in various combinations but not in others. Changing the bottom page margin by 0.01 cm can cause it to fail on page 7 instead of page 530 (for example). We certainly do not have large page headers (just over 2cm) or page footers (about 0.3cm). We do have some subreports in the details section but have used 'fit to section', added 'keep together', removed u2018keep togetheru2019 from just about everything we can (in desperation) but to no avail. We cannot see a pattern to what is happening. It would be encouraging to know that someone is actually working on this fault.

Inserting a template into a struts generated default page

I first add the pages in struts, and then build them as I go, but I like have the pages and data actions layed out before hand (though not necessarily connected). The problem is when I use struts to generate the page, by double clicking, I can't seem to use a template for that page.
Probabaly something obvious I'm missing here...?

I assume that you mean that if you drop a DataPage or a Page Forward onto the page flow diagram, and then Double Click on it or choose "Go To Page" to create the page for the first time you don't get the opportunity to select a template?
If that's the issue then you're correct there is no way to do this you'll either have to pre-create the pages using the template you want and associate them with the DataPage when the drilldown dialog pops up (or simply drag and drop them onto the diagram on the first place - the Struts diagram will represent them as a PageForward in the first instance and then convert them to a DataPage if you happen to do some databinding), or you can of course save the template as a code snippet in the Component palette and simply select that when you create the new empty page.
I'd probably choose the latter approach then you can set up multiple templates as snippets and insert the one you need.

How do I delete templates I made in the new Pages?

I accidentally created a new template in the new Pages I want to remove it from My Templates. How do I do that?

Launch Pages v5.2.2, and choose new document. In My Templates, select the template you want to remove. Right-click on it, and from the contextual menu, choose delete. Now cancel your new document effort, and quit Pages.
