Faxing a two sided document

I purchased an OfficeJet Pro 8610 and apparently it won't fax a two sided document.  Any suggestions besides printing the back sides and then faxing?

Hi,
You may manually scan the two sided focument to your computer and thne initiate the fax job from the computer:
Open the HP Officejet Pro 8610 software and click on Scan a Document or Photo.
Select PDF, ensure the Show Scan Preview option is checked and the resolution is not longer then 300 PPI.
Once the page scans, place the otehr side on the scanner glass and click the plus sign below the scan preview, once you are done click on Save.
Finally, open the PDF and clcik on File > Print, then select the Fax copy of the printer and send the scanned document from the PC.

Shlomi

How do you fax a 2 sided document as one transmission instead of two separate transmissions on the HP Officejet 6700?

    Hello dsvictor8975,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand you are looking to fax a two-sided document with the Officejet 6700 Premium. Unfortunately, this can not be done using the front panel of the printer.
In order for you to do this you will need to use the Full Feature Software provided with the printer, that hopefully is installed on your computer.
What is the Operating System installed on your computer, Windows or Mac?
Once I know the Operating System I can look into the software steps to allow you to fax from the computer.
    Cheers,

  • Scanning two sided document

I have a two sided document that I would like to scan and reprint as a two sided document on my HP officeJet Pro 8600. How can I do this? My operating system is Windows 7
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Probably the easiest way to accomplish your goal would be to make a photocopy of one side and then scan the two pages to your computer. using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).  The two pages will then be saved in the same file.  When you open the print dialog box select 2 sided printing.  The output should be one page printed front and back.
Also, remember a click on the Kudos star to the left is a quick "Thanks" for a helpful post.

  • Acrobat 8.1.5 crashes when scanning two-sided documents-help!

    Hi,
I've been searching for some answer to this, but I'm not finding any yet...
My problem is that I am trying to use Acrobat 8.1.5 to scan in a double-sided multi-page document using a Brother MFC-7420 with a document feeder. I'm on OS 10.5.8. Scanning in single sided works fine, but when I ask for two-sided scanning it scans the first side, prompts me for the second side, scans it, then waits a few seconds and crashes. I get the "application Acrobat quit unexpectedly" message.
No I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat, updated my scanner drivers, fixed my permissions, shut down and restarted the computer several times and nothing seems to work. Tonight, however, I got an added conundrum when it allowed me to scan a single sheet front and back with now problem. When I loaded in another three sheets and tried to do the same thing, it died.
    Anyone have any ideas?
I don't scan multiple pages double sided very often, but I'm pretty sure I've done it in the past with no problem so this has got me stumped.
    Thanks!
    Tim

    Thanks for all the suggestions.
I have tried all these things (I've completely un-installed everything Adobe on my system, going through the App Support and Preferences, and anywhere else I could find at least three times; thanks to problems with the Auto Updater (now fixed apparently) I've had to manually install all the updates; I've also installed them automatically and am currently at version 8.2.1. I've fixed permission, I've repaired directory structure, I've started in a new user account. The problem still persists. The most remarkable thing is that if I stay at version 8.0 it works properly—flawlessly even.
Do I sound just a little frustrated and piqued?
Here is part of the error report when it crashes—it means nothing to me, but maybe this will help?

  • Set to print as a two sided document

How do I have a document printed as a 2 sided document automatically when a user selects print, even if they do not have a duplex printer?

With an XFA PDF, you can embed a tag that will tell the printer to automatically enforce duplex printing.  However, the printer needs to support it.  If the printer can't physically print to both side of the page, obviously nothing in the software can change that.

  • Officejet 7310xi does not print two-sided automatically after installing Windows 8.1

When I first purchased my Officejet 7310xi and installed it on my Windows XP desktop PC it worked fine printing two-sided documents automatically. I recently purchased a new desktop PC with Windows 8 and upgraded it to Windows 8.1 and downloaded and installed the Officejet software drivers from the HP download site. But now the printer will not print two-sided documents AUTOMATICALLY -- when this option is selected, I get a pop-up screen telling me to remove the documents from the out tray, turn them around, and reinsert them in the feed bin, i.e., it acts as if I requested two-sided MANUAL printing.
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
Make sure the Automatic Duplexing option is enabled:
Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
    Click the Device Settings tab.
Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.
Now Automatic Duplexing should become available.

  • Two sided print option is grey out

Recently, I noticed that when I need to print two-sided documents, the "two-sided" print option is greyed out.  I have gone into System Preferences  Printers & Scanners- and under "options" for the printer enabled the HP Two-sided Printing Accesory (Duplexer).  This button continues to disengage (won't remain enabled) and each time I need to print two-sided, I have to repeat the above process. Please help

Hi,Try resetting the printing system and check if that may help:*Be aware that resetting the printer system will remove any existing print queue and reset any customized driver settings.
Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences .
    Select Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your product in the Printers list in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system .
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user Name and Password .
Click OK . The printing system resets. Next click the plus sign and select the listed printer. Within the Use drop down menu select the printer model and press the Add button. Hope that may help,Shlomi

  • Please explain how to make a two-sided copy

Hello:  I would like to make a 2 sided copy, not a print from a program, but a copy.  I put a one-sided page in the tray, hit the 1:2 option and only one side prints out.

    Hi @caajpa10 ,
I see that you are experiencing issues copying two-sided. I would like to help you out today.
With the Officejet 8610 model, you have to load 2 papers on the ADF that you want to copy to two-sided.
    It won't flip a two-sided document and print two-sided.
I have provided the manual, on page 48 it provides the instructions for duplexing. Officejet Pro 8610/8620/8630.
    Have a nice day!

  • 8500A Plus prints two sided. Each side prints to edge so neither will align with each other

What setting could I be overlooking?
I have a 8500A Plus with the Two-sided Printing Accessory installed. I'm using it as a wireless printer from a Macbook Pro, using ADOBE Acrobat 9, both 100% and fit to page have an alignment issue.
I want to print a two sided document, one page per side, orientation landscape, both sides same size, align on both sides center (or at least align back-to-back). But whatever I try, it gets printed "binding top"  which renders the header on one side back-to-back with the footer on the other side.
This is important to my production as a graphic designer. Please help.

  • Two sided printing directly from finder?

    Hello all
I am having trouble with two-sided printing directly from the Finder on a shared printer over Airport.
I know that I can highlight a file in the finder, then hit CMD-P and it will print the document for me (opening up the program that created it - be it Pages or Word).  I can select multiple files and print them this way.
What I *can't* do is get a two-sided document this way.
I have setup a preset for two-sided printing and set it as default.   It doesn't matter what program created the document - it just won't duplex print.  I have gone into CUPS and set the printer default as two-sided along the long edge.
My printer is a Brother HL-2240D, connected to an iMac running 10.6.8.  I am attempting to print files from a Mac Pro (1,1) running 10.7.5, over my Airport network.  I can print two-sided by opening the file in the word processor (Word or Pages) and using the Print dialogue, but I can't do it from the Finder.
    Can anyone please help?

I forgot to add - I have set up a duplex preset on the iMac (server) as well.  I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not...
    thanks!

  • Faxing double sided documents with HP 6700

OfficeJet 6700 Premium with Win 7 Pro 64 bit.
How can I  fax a group of double sided documents.
Although my printer contains a duplexer, I don't see how to take advantage of this feature when faxing.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The Officejet 6700 does not have a duplexer in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that would allow copying or faxing the back side of documents automatically.  For the Officejet 6700 you will need to do one of the following:
Copy the back side, then interleve the copies with the original and feed this through the ADF, or
Load the pages manually on the scanner glass.
If you have many double sided copies to fax or this is a regular occurance you may prefer a printer that has double sided scanning capability in the ADF.  The HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus and HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium are two models I am familar with that have this capability.

  • Two sided printing option disappeared?

I have an HP Officejet 6700 Premium printer, copier, scanner, fax, etc.  Initially I could have the option of two sided printing both as a printer and a copier.  I can no longer access that option.  It has disappeared from the screen.  What can I do?

    Hi Tiqlov,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I gather that you can no longer choose the double sided option on your Officejet 6700 printer.
Please follow the steps in Resetting Your Printer and ensure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet.  For reference purposes I’ve also included Printing on Both Sides of the Paper (Duplexing) document.
