Faxing and MBP

I need to send a fax, but I just realized that I have to buy the silly USB Modem interface to hook up the phone line. OK, so if I fork out the $49 for it, will I be able to send faxes, or will I have to get some sort of software, too? Any suggestions on how to set this up easily would be most appreciated.

This isn't about setting up the USB modem, but rather about an alternative way of faxing. I use this website: http://www.fax1.com/
to fax. I have an account, from which I can upload my documents to fax, and there's a small fee for the fax itself. I use only the basic service so there's no monthly fee. I believe it's possible to receive faxes too. I've used it several times with no problems, and the support team is very responsive.

If you change the Vendor fax and email to null value in SAP(transaction XK02 in communication for address) and replicate the vendor in SRM 5.0 with transaction BBPUPDVD, still in manage business partners BBPMAININT as vendor I am able to see old fax number and email id instead of null value in Contact for Business Partner area.
Where as if we change vendor fax and email to new fax and email , after replication we wre able to see new fax and email id in manage business partners transaction as vendor.

I am having some serious issues with firefox, i can't print anything because it is stuck on fax and I can't use any of the drop down menus on any site

I am having some serious issues with firefox to the point of choosing another search engine. I can't print anything because it is stuck on fax and won't let me change it to my printer when i do try to select my printer it jumps right back to fax. The drop down menus do not work on any of the sites I go to. For example when purchasing clothes and you have to choose a size from a drop down menu I can't do it when I click on the drop down menu it doesn't work at all. I don't have a virus I ran my virus protector and no viruses are present. I don't have any suspicious issues going on with my computer so there has to be something in Firefox that is causing my issues. I tried internet explorer and I don't have any issues there. I hope you can help me because I love Firefox and would really like to continue to use it.

Lots of issues there, main one getting fcpx going again, try deleting the preferences using the utility deveoped by these guys.

Can I download FCPX on my imac and MBP using the same apple ID?

Hello, I am just wondering how it works with mac store apps. I use both my imac and MBP for my work. Will I have to re buy FCPX for both, or can I use it on both with the same apple id? This works with apps on my 2 iphones and ipad, but I was not sure about imac and MBP.

One number for faxing and for voice

Hi,
I would like to know if it possible to have one number for faxing and for voice.
What I have read up is that Cisco can detect the fax tones. What I would like to do is route all inbound faxes to a viop dial-peer and all voice to another e1 port.
I am just looking for some more info if this can be done.

Yes this is possible with either cisco fax relay or t.38 fax relay.

How to fix OXC19A0020 error in printer HP6500A plus, just as faxing and copying machine.

I have just bought a printer HP6500A plus, which I use it as faxing and copying machine only. Therefore, I never connect it to a computer. After I installed the machine, it worked for the very first time. Then, I changed the new carbridge. It did not work anymore indicating error code OXC19A0020. I shut off the power and examined all the carbridge insertions. Everything seems OK, but the code still appear and not working. Pls advise how to fix this new machine. Tks

Automate receiving a fax and creation of PO thru SAP

Hi SAP Gurus,
I have a typical problem. I want to receive the Purchase Order thru fax into SAP. Convert it to text, read it and then automatically create a PO in SAP.
The process of receiving the fax and converting it into text can be done using a 3rd party process. But then SAP should be able to retireve this text from a text file and create a PO by itself.
A solution is desparately sought.

You should see the text file and then check if logic can be built to read and understand the text file using ABAP program.
e.g if the data is at a definite position in the text file or you can use pattern search to find the data.
The idea is that your program should be able to read and differentiate the PO data of text file ..like material, qty , amount etc.
You need to write an ABAP program which can be scheduled to run at regular intervals.
This program will read the text data from the file and convert it into the data required in BAPI BAPI_PO_CREATE ( or BAPI_PO_CREATE1)...Then call the BAPI to create POs.

Windows 2003 Server Fax and Scan to WIndows 8.1

I have a server with Windows Server 2003 on. We have computers running WIndows 2007 and Windows Fax and Server. All was great, could see the faxes inbox on the computer etc. Now I have a machine with 8.1 Pro and connected great to the Windows Server, can
see the sent items but cannot see the inbox faxes! Really am stumped, any help would be great.

Before going further, would you please let me confirm whether this issue just occurred on Windows 8.1 Pro client
computer? Were all Windows 7 client computers OK?
Please follow the following KB and perform a clean boot in Windows 8.1, then monitor the result.

Process Monitor to check the process if you can find more clues.
By the way, please check Event Viewer if you can find some relevant events.

Cannot make Canon PIXMA MX922 fax to work with "Windows Fax And Scan" on Windows 7, 8.1

I have Canon PIXMA MX922 multifunction printer installed wireless on iMac OS X Mavericks. It works great but there is no fax drivers for Mac. I have Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 installed on Parallel Desktop. I am able to print and scan on these machines. I can scan using "Windows Fax and Scan" and other programs including My Image Gardens but no luck with faxing. I can send faxes using print function and chosing a Cannon MX920 series fax driver. The problem is to recieve faxes. I've connected MX922 wireless and wired with no help.
Does anyone have the same problem? Any ideas?

In case this is going to fix itself in 25 hours I will check for the issue then. I'm gonna let you know whether the issues has disappeared.
But it sounds to me a little bit, like you have been expecting that behaviour? Have you? Especially within a Lab it is very confusing to have test clients which appear fully functional 25 hours after the setup has been succeeded.
I've followed your annotation and posted the log files on the Connect portal.

How to Use Remote Printer's FAX and Scanner on Win 7

HP LaserJet 3050 hosted by an XP computer. I've been able to install it for printing from a Win 7 machine but I can't find a way to install its fax or scanner functions. I tried using the printer driver to print to the fax and it corrupted the XP's spool program requiring an entire C:\ drive restore from backup!
I have the HP 64 bit driver for the printer, and I can see in the list of .inf files one that seems to be for fax, but I can't make it install.

Setting up fax and voicemail on same phone line.

I have one phone line with voicemail and fax. How do I set up the fax so voicemail doesn't pick up my faxes and the fax doesn't pick up my voicemail messages? I have the fax and phone going through a splitter. I just discontinued my separate phone line I used for faxing and internet and want to use a single phone line for everything. If you have Verizon Home Voicemail (the kind you access by dialing a phone number i.e. no answering machine) I can't see how it would work.
Some fax machines can answer the phone listen for the fax tones and if it doesn't hear them it rings another phone or answering machine connected to it.
It comes down to something has to answer the phone, figure out what kind of call it is a route it to either a answering machine or a fax machine.
The only other way to do it with one line and Verizon voice mail is to get something called Distinctive Ringing service (if its available for Fios). You get another phone number but not another physical line. The one phone line rings differently for each number. The fax machine must then have the distinctive ring feature and be setup to only answer it's ring. The other ring it ignores which means VM will pick it up.

In ICWebClient The agent send fax and email, In the activity Clipboard, it should "Fax Out" and "Email" but I am not sure how to search them in Inbox or somewhere else. In Inbox I am selecting "Fax" but it does not comeup with any result.
Can somebody provide some more details for these two items , how they handeled?

Windows fax and scan printing

When printing from winnows fax and scan ( windows pro), I can not get the pages option to work. If I rec a 5 page fax and only want one of the pages I have to print them all. I have looked for a setting to check off or unchecked but have had no luck in finding one. Can anyone help?

- try to update fax & scan ( via windows update )
- *click control panel > un-install/change a program > turn windows fetures on or off > uncheck fax & scan > restart your computer > then check the fax & scan again > check if issue persists.
* make sure you back-up your current settings & files, after re-installing fax & scan, settings & files may be lost.

9300 fax and e ail problems

I have created a fax and when sending the 9300 says its sending it then says
problem with fax transfer
fax:
could not connect to the fax machine
when sending e mail the 9300 just times out while trying to access the internet via o2 internet
I can download web pages and e mails from my inbox all wap yahoo works ok.I just can not send faxes or e mails via the message section of the 9300
Any ideas?

If you wanted a camera, why not go for 9500! Serious point though there is the seperate phone / headset attachment you could use.

We can try to update the driver for your scan and fax and meanwhile, we can contact the manufacturer to update the firmware of your device.
Also try to repair the Fax and scan components by turn off and turn on in Turn windows features on and off:
