FB 4.5 Premium installer gives error 1603
Downloaded Flash Builder 4.5 premium from the Adobe site, used Application Manager to create a deployable package. It bombs out with a 1603, no hints at all in the 237 kb log file as to why. Google isn't helping.
Trying to install FB 4.5 - comes up with this error on my machine - anyone have any concrete ideas on how to overcome this...
I've tried rebooting, removing activex plugins etc but of no help....

Select the Replace Permissions on Subdirectories check box. Click OK >> Yes

Run the installer with ADMIN rights

Solaris 10 installation gives error "No disk Found"
During the installation of Solaris 10 on dell XPS400, it gives error that says no Disk found:
I have already partitioned by disk in the following manner:
1st partition: 30 GB: NTFS (WIn XP installed)
2nd Partiion: 20 GB: NTFS (data)
3rd Partition: 25GB: RAW
is there any special setting that I need to do for Solaris to detect the hard disk.

... you need to reconfigure your system with respect to the DISK CONTROLLER.
Solaris 10 "doesn't do Serial ATA very well".
Search the forum, keyword sata and then read and read and read.
I believe you need to reconfigure something in the PC's BIOS.
However, that may have an impact on how well your current install of WinXP works.
So, I suggest you just go get an additional disk, a conventional IDE drive (not a SATA disk),
and install to that new drive instead.
Then you choose whichever device you want as the boot drive each time you power it on.
... or just go get an older, used computer and dedicate it to operating systems other than Windows. Leave the Dell system alone.
Install... erase ... install something else ... erase ...

SCOM Reporting Server Installation Give Error The specified SQL Server instance is not valid

I am trying to install SCOM 2012 SP1 Reporting Server on a Windows Server 2012 running SQL Server 2012 SP1. The SQL Server also host instance for SCCM 2012 SP1 named SCCM, and not in clustered environment.
For SCOM 2012 SP1, I choose SQL instance named SCOM. At first, I successfully installed SCCM 2012 SP1 Reporting Services. I have SSRS configured to use port 80 for both SCCM and SCOM instance, and not using SSL, with IP Address settings: All assigned. SQL
Server Agent services on both instances are configured to started automatically. I could access http://scsqlserver/reports_SCCM and http://scsqlserver/reporserver_SCCM, but could not for http://scsqlserver/reports_SCOM and http://scsqlserver/reporserver_SCOM.
On OpsMgrSetupWizard.log give error

I may continue Reporting Server installation that give no error mentioned above, if I choose SSRS instance named SCCM, but it is not supported for both SCCM and SCOM 2012 using same SSRS instance. Personal certificate for ConfigMgr SQL Server Authentication
on SQL Server has been exported and deleted. Restarting SQL Server also has been done, but no luck.

I am trying to install VMM 2012 SP1 console on my management Windows 8 Enterprise machine, but it's failing:

Regards,Mine is solved.
Was because I removed VMM 2012 R2 on the same host (again, because R2 doesn't do P2V conversions) but the uninstall failed to remove "Microsoft Web Deploy 3.5". When VMM 2012 SP1 installs uses Web Deploy 3.0 and was blocked by the newer version. uninstalled
3.5 and then the console install worked.

Just trying to install latest flash, using latest installer file.
But when I run the installer, it gives error: "Unable to load application configuration".
I have redownloaded installer file, couple days a go, yesterday and today. Didn't help.
I'm running osx 10.8.3.
File permissions are fixed.

Skype Installation fatal error 1603
My skype spontaneously stopped working and I counldnt figure out why. Skype No longer said it was a program on my computer, so I completely deleted it. BUT when i went to reinstall it on my pc (windows 7) it gave the the message "Object already exists" then "Installing Skype failed; code 1603
A fatal error occured". Ive updated my computer and tryed the microsoft fixit install/uninstall. Also Ive watched youtube and read comments by others with the error but nothing is working! PLEASE HELP

New Relic APM installation gives error
I can't seem to add the New Relic APM extension anymore. I wanted to add it to two VM's that were already created. Because I didn't New Relic offered it directly through the new portal I tried creating it using the NewRelic Azure packages. When this didn't
work I found out about the direct way using the new portal, which worked on VM1 and not two. Going to two I saw that NewRelic was still installed on 2 in the old way, removed it, removed the generic New Relic APM, removed it from server 1 and gave both a reboot
so I'd start with a clean slate and do it perfectly right this time. The two VM's seem perfectly fine, but I can't seem to add it to my subscription anymore.
I get two failed events besides the Microsoft Resources event that notifies me of the failure of the deployment:

with error message:

Installation gives error against core40.dll
Hello,
I'm trying to install dev 6.0. However when I try and install it I get an informational message that I have to close all Oracle applications cause there's an application using the core40.dll.
When I check for an Oracle application there appears to be none running. Even when I check using Oradim80.exe the only application that appears to be running is the oradim80.exe. Except off course the Oracle installer.
I'm using the Y2K compliant orainstall.
Can anybody tell what's causing this problem??

Update 11.0.07 crashes on W8 machine - error 1603
Downloaded this update but it crashes and gives error 1603. Going to the error code page only shows solutions for W7 and XP machines. Suggestions?
I am having the same issue with applying 11.0.07 update to Windows 7 Premium Edition SP1 64 bit. Currently running Adobe Standard 11.0.06. Adobe Standard has up to now worked flawlessly. I upgraded from Adobe 8 not that long ago.
I've tried every suggestion from Googling for Fatal Error 1603 without success over the past 48 hrs.
I have also tried the suggestion to remove AAMSETUP and I went from installation stopping at 6 seconds to 4 seconds but it still aborts and rolls back.
The versions of my programs in this directory are:
AdobePIM.dll (under sub-folder “resources”) 6.2.137
iASUVersion.dll 6.2.139.0
Set-up.exe 6.2.136.0
I see messages in the msi logs ... not sure if they are actual messages or just code that runs?

I have defragged my drive repeatedly and it is not fragmented. Run Perfect Disk 12.5 so my drive fragmentation is minimal

Honestly after losing access to an old account and making a new account I've still been a long time fan of skype and love free 1 on 1 video calls. I'm really hoping this is an easy fix because honestly I've been looking at the skype community forums for the last hour and havn't been able to find a fix.
About 2 and a half hours ago I reduced the size of my only partiton on my 500 GB harddrive as much as I could. After doing this I reinstalled windows on the new 200ish GB partition. After installing and loading windows I coppied skype, smite, and steam from D:\Program Files to C:\Program Files (x86) and attempted to run skype. Skype opened and I signed in as usual but skype was having a really high CPU usage and kept reading/writing to some statistics.db file at several GB/s (Total IO was like 1.8GB/s, mostly write I think). The 13% cpu usage, although concerning as abnormally high, didnt really bog down performance too much. This high disk usage was really driving my mad as when it peaked my computer would almost stop responding and skype.exe would stop responding (although it resumed eventually). Skype in this state was unusable as any time the window was focused it almost crashed.
After this I decided to reinstall skype instead of using the backup I had. I force ended skype.exe then made backups of my skype user and pictures folders. I skipped step 3 since it wasn't in the list. I then did steps 4-6. While doing this I noticed it said there may be "up to 50" references to skype in the registry but I noticed there were a lot more. I'm not exactly sure how many there were but I counted up to 40 and when I noticed I was only half way through the registry I started spamming "delete" key "enter" (to confirm deletion) as fast as I could. I'd say there were at least 70 skypes in the registry. I'm not sure if this registry includes things from my other installation of windows or if it got **bleep**ed up because of they way I tried to install skype.
After doing all this with my registry I rechecked to make sure the skype program files and skype app data folders were deleted and then tried to reinstall skype. Downloading from http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-computer/ I tried to reinstall it and all I did was unchecked "run skype when windows starts" hit next unchecked the bing and skype click to call stuff, hit next. After it said installing for a while it said installation failed error 1603.
I tried following advice of several posts on the forums and other sites, including going through the registry again, using Microsofts FixIt for install/uninstalls, and trying to install skype from another administrator account. After looking at several posts, trying all these fixes, and looking into it myself I'm really not sure what to do.

Not really sure what else to say or do, I've never really had to debug any programs or windows features before, and the only time I ever messed with the registry was a few windows installs before when I had to delete several instances of a self-reinstalling virus on my computer that spammed processes and lagged my computer.
Edit: After seeing this link I tried rerunning Microsoft's FixIt Install/Uninstall with the program ID from the folder name at %programdata%\Skype. I tried doing this and installing Skype from SkypeSetup_6.1.0.129.msi. Installation failed with some failed to read file totally forgot what it was. I then tried using the standard InstallSkypeFull.exe and it gave an actual error this time instead of the apparently "generic" error 1603 (see attached picture) After this installation failed I tried reinstalling from the 6.1.0.129.msi and it didn't say it failed. I'm about to try and open it.
Anddd opening Skype failed with the error message in the attached skype2 picture. I'm just going to close everything related to that except for this post and I'm going to close all my installers and debug stuff I have open and just wait for a reply. Currently I believe the system thinks skype is installed but I can't open it.

Try this:
Download but not run this msi-installer for Skype 6.9.0.106 version:
http://download.skype.com/msi/SkypeSetup_6.9.0.106.msi
Create a folder on your computer where you want Skype application to be located. This folder can also be C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\, but any other location will work too.
Now using the procedure described here:

extract Skype.exe file from the SkypeSetup_6.9.0.106.msi file and copy this Skype.exe file to the selected installation folder.
Right click on the Skype.exe file and select: Send to – Desktop (create shortcut). You will have to start Skype using this new shortcut.
