FB installed on iphone 5s, shortcut icon not on screen?

Can anyone tell me how to put the Facebook shortcut on my screen please?

I'm going to take a stab and guess you might be new to iPhone; otherwise you might already know how to find it.
If you are; likely it's installed to the second page of apps since the first is almost full.
Sorry if you are not new.
To access second page just swipe left.
If the icon is truly missing; try restarting the phone. I've had missing app icons on iOS 7; but not since the recent updates.

IPhone App - Gear icon not working

We have an multi-folio (Enterprise) app that is built for iPad and iPhone. The iPad version seems to be working properly, but in the iPhone version, the Gear icon is not working. I didn't see anything in the App Builder that would negate that from working.
Am I missing something?

When you tap the gear icon in your iPad app, which options do you see? If you just see "Remove Issues from iPad," it makes sense that the gear icon is empty on the iPhone app—you swipe from right to left in the iPhone library to remove downloaded folios.
But if you see options such as "Privacy Policy" or "Restore All Purchases" in the iPad but not on the iPhone, that's a different issue.

Shortcut "Z" not working, screen momentary brighter

Hello,
i have a Macbook Pro Retina with hopefully the latest Garage Band (10 or 11?).
Anyway I have a problem with the keyboard shortcuts. For example if I press "Z"
to jump to the beginning of the tracks nothing happens but the screen gets brighter
for a short time..
I have noticed this behavior on several shortcuts.
Anybody an idea what's the problem?

to see your GarageBand version, use the menu command "GarageBand > About GarageBand".
If it is showing Version 10.0.2, you are indeed having the newest GarageBand version.
Then hit the "return" key to go to the beginning of a track.

Many shortcuts from the older GarageBand '11 no longer work, and not all keys are documented.

Added - the blinking, brighter screen is the error message for an undefined keyboard shortcut.

Folder with Question Mark, to Apple Icon, to Kernel Screen at Startup.

At startup Folder with Question Mark, Followed all steps to resolve it to no avail, I try to re-install Snow Leopard and Apple Icon with Grey screen appears, then Kernel screen.
I cannot get past the Kernel screen. No options to click anything, like system preferences or anything. I have a Macbook, with Snow Leopard. Any help would be much appreciated.

I tried that, it goes to the apple icon, however after about 10 seconds of the apple it goes straight to the Kernel screen. It doesn't give me the options of opening anything. Infact it doesn't even have a mouse curser.
If I hold "option" it gives me the option of choosing only the "Leopard DVD" but that's it and then it goes to the Kernel Screen

You will have to upgrade your operating system version and possibly your whole computer. We cannot provide more information easily until we know more about your system.

Apple does tell you about required equipment for the iPhone -- in 8 point medium gray type on a light gray box. The Store associates kind of automatically assume everybody is running a new model computer and the one I met when we bought our iPhone had never seen a pre-2008 Mac and was somewhat puzzled why anybody would own such an antique.

Hi all- I'm new to this online community of Apple support; my iPhone 5s is stuck on a screen that has the connect to iTunes icon, this started after I upgraded to IOS 8.1.1 from the beta to fixed version; I don't use iTunes and have an IPad, home PC, office PC, and Galaxy Tab, and I went through (failed) the process of installing itunes on my office PC but needed to update windows; after going through all redommendations I could find, including Apple phone support, I still haven't had success. Does anyone know a way to get my phone past that screen? I don't have time to keep doing updates and installation attempts;'I don't care about the content at this point; but I can't get to the settings to "reset all" and start from scratch; I bought i loud for storage and have an old 4s that has a broken screen butt still works and I have another active 4s on my plaN. Desktop shortcut icons change to Adobe after new install ...

Hi All -
Thanks in advance for your understanding if this has already been covered but after searching, I can't find a solution to my problem which very well may be something very simple. Btw, I'm a Vista user.
After installing Adobe Reader 9.xx or even an older version of 8.xx, many of the shortcut icons on my desktop change to the (white/red center) adobe icon with access to that program then unavailable as an error message comes up saying Adobe cannot access that program.
Anyone have any idea what I've done wrong or how to fix? After an uninstall of Adobe, the correct shortcut icons return with access working fine.

not sure how comfortable you are editing your Registry. Please do a back of the Registry before you do the following:
1. Launch Notepad by clicking on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad
2. Enter the following into Notepad:

What to do when you get "iTunes library app not installed on iPhone; app could not be found". None of the Apple suggestions fix the problem. For example, with Animoto, one of the problem apps, I have removed it, reinstalled it, and still get the eoor message.

First of all, this started when an external drive i was using died on me. I have no doubt that these apps indeed are off my system. I figure between the apps I've bought for myself and my kid, I have about 150 apps.
Now. The issue.
When I sync my iPad with iTunes on my desktop, it goes through normally until it gets to the apps. When that happens, it get an error box that reads "Some of the apps in your iTunes library were not installed on the iPad because one or more errors occurred. For a list of appps that could not be installed, click on the triangle below."
Then I get a list of apps.
(Added note to any iTunes developers out there: The titles of the apps in this list do not always match the titles of the apps in the App Store. For example, one was called "MuseumGame" on my iPad. It's called "Museum of Thieves" on the App Store. I started out with a list of 60 apps. It was a major pain to track them all down. It would be nice to have everything the same so I can use the App Store search more effectively.)
Anyway, moving on....
The error message stops my sync until I dismiss it. That, honestly, is what makes this whole thing annoying enough to seek out an answer. I can't let my iPad start syncing and walk out of the room. Yeah. I know. First World problems.
Once I dismiss the error, the sync continues and all is well.
I did the following to try to fix the problem. Mostly, I did a lot of searches:
My list of purchased apps on my iPad both using the search box and by going to every page
Searched the main App Store on my iPad using the search field. When that didn't work, I used wider searches and just scanned the page(s) for the little cloud icon that showed I had purchased the app.
I got on my desktop iTunes and searched the apps from there (without a lot of hope, but trying to be complete)
At that point, I came to the conclusion that a small number of the apps are no longer available on the App Store.
Fine. I didn't want them anyway.
I got into iTunes and went to the Apps page. None of the errant apps showed up there. I searched the iTunes help files. Nothing. I crossed my fingers, said a little prayer to the search engine gods, and tried Google. I found some things that sort of matched but they basically boiled down to "re-download the app from the App Store" or "Restore your iPad".
So I spent a couple of hours restoring my iPad. I got the error message again. I hit Google again and came up with this thread. It was as close to my problem as I found.
I think that brings us up to date.
My fundamental problem is that I seem to have found a scenario where if you have to restore apps (because, perhaps, your external drive died) and some of the apps are no longer available for download, there is an error generated that can not be permanently dismissed.
Did I miss anything important?

Well, what happens when you try to use it. That would help in the troubleshooting. Have you contacted your cellular carrier? Voicemail is a carrier function.

It looked in Mail, which had 5 email accounts set up in it, and for some reason picked the only one that I no longer use because it is for a school that I no longer attend. How can I fix it so that it syncs with the correct email account for notes and calendar? There don't seem to be any settings available other than to check if you want to use the basic features. It also said during the set up that it was setting up 'find my mac' but if I look on the iCloud website there is nothing showing there for finding my mac.
At this point I feel like I wasted my money paying for this supposed upgrade. I got nothing for it but frustration. It even automatically set my security settings to allow only downloads from the Mac store so the first time I went to download something I had to stop what I was doing and go correct settings first. I feel like there should be a security setting to block downloads from the Mac store so I don't accidentally end up clicking the wrong thing and being charged.

iCloud isn't syncing them on your phone. You simply added the email account to your phone and enabled calendar and notes syncing with the email provider, and the calendar and notes appear in the calendar and notes apps on your phone. You can do this with Gmail, Yahoo and other IMAP account. iCloud email is just another IMAP account, but syncs notes with Apple's iCloud server just as Gmail syncs notes and calendars with Google's server.
iCloud didnt' set up a non-iCloud account on your Mac. When you check Mail in System Preferences>iCloud, it only creates an iCloud email account. You can also add other email accounts to your Mac by going to System Preferences>Mail,Contacts,Calendars and clicking on the "+" sign on the bottom of the left sidebar. If you added these other email accounts to your Mac before you upgraded to Mountain Lion, these were simply maintained on your Mac after you upgraded.
