FB3 IDE 'Content Assist' bg color too light to see.

Hey all,
The bg color for selected row on Content Assist (Code
Hinting) in FB3 IDE is too light for me to distinguish.
Does anyone know where this setting can be changed? I have
checked everywhere in the "Preferences" area, can't find it.
Thanks,
Huntër

Try with this
Windows -> Prefrences -> General -> Editors -> Text Editors -> Annotations -> Right side there is list from which select -> Actionscript occurance.

Hacking around, I found a fix to my own zombified terminal problem.
Control-click (right-click) on the tab to the terminal and one of the options is 'MOVE TAB TO NEW WINDOW'
On moving the terminal tab to the new window, the old terminal window is responsive again (Allowing scrolling to old error messages, etc.)
You have to do this for each tab in the zombified window one-at-a-time
but you can drag all new windows back together as tabs to a single window if you feel like it.
Before trying this, I tried a lot of the other click options and the other options were as unresponsive as the whole terminal window with the problem.

  • Cursor for text and other editing tools is too light to see

I have a new Macbook Pro Retina display running Mavericks.
When I use editing tools (like text, shapes, etc.) in apps like adobe acrobat, fireworks, and photoshop the cursor is so light grey that I can barely see it on the screen.
Does anyone know how to change the color or contrast of the cursor? Is it even possible?
This is impacting my productivity by at least 10%. Don't tell my employer or I might get fired.

my hilighter is too light. I want to darken it on my screen. When I hilight I can't tell if it is hilighted or not.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page. There are several add-ons that will change colors for you. You can even make one site have different colors or the same as another site . Also, check out Firefox Options > Content. And select Colors.

  • How do i get Firefox to print web pages in black and white only (colors are interpreted in grayscale and some are too light to be read)?

i have a black and white laser printer. Firefox prints web pages by sending color images to my printer. The printer uses greyscale to interpret the colors. i really want Firefox to send black and white images to my printer, because with greyscale some of the colors are translated to print that is too light to be seen clearly.
    Can this be done?

    Hi
I have a problem with color prints from photoshop elements 12. The pictures are too light and with strange colors. I have a Canon pixma mg615I0 printer and use mac os X yosemite. The pictures are taken with a coanon eos 550d in the color space sRGB. I have followed adobes recommendations and have tried both letting the printer respektive photoshop manage the colors. But nothing works. I see that there are different opinions about which is best to do so I tried both. I have the latest printer driver installed. Can anyone help me with this?

    Do the following:
Print a test page from the printer. Perhaps the print head needs cleaning via its maintenance facility.
Let the printer manage colors, not PSE
    Calibrate the monitor

Hi guys i had been an iPhone 5 user for about 3 years and i have recently swapped over to a samsung s4 i dont know if this was a good idea any assistance or light in the right direction would be appreciated?

Sorry i correct myself i had been an iPhone user for about 3 years. My last Apple iPhone was an iPhone 5. I am getting used to things with the Samsung but really think the extra features such as smart stay and scroll are coverting humans into robots. The configuration of the features is also difficult as it detects your eye movement so if the movement is out of place even the slightest the feature will not function. I think the ios user interface is simple in comparison to the android user interface. Any views are appreciated? I have many friends also using HTC and prefer it in comparison to the iPhone and Galaxy but as raymond73 mentioned choice is a wonderful thing.

  • Colors print too light in inDesign CS3

I can't figure this one out. I am working on a catalog, which has Illustrator CS3 files and Photoshop CS3 files placed. The files print fine in Illustrator and Photoshop, but will print too light, once placed in inDesign.
I have printed them out fine before. I have old prints that look good. I don't know what I did or changed that caused these color shifts.
Can anybody help me with this?
    Thanks,
    Anne

Make sure the document that is giving you trouble really has the correct color spaces assigned. You can see that by going to Edit > Convert Profiles... and noting what the current source spaces are. If they are not what you expect, cancel, then Edit > ASSIGN profiles and choose the correct ones.
You might also try exporting the documnet to .inx and see if that makes any difference.

  • Slide shows way too light

My slideshows are coming out at least a stop too light when exported into .MOV or quicktime movies. Have tried a couple different exports and nothing works. I have also tried in iPhoto but they end up too dark and contrasty. Any ideas? A couple other apps that I would have to buy or aren't feature-rich render them correctly, but I'd sure like to use iMovie, which I've already paid for...
I'm importing them as .jpg files, either srgb or adobe 1998 color profiles, doesn't make a difference.
    thanks

solved it... need to change the compression type from any of the movie formats to the jpeg compression...

  • Lightroom output prints are too light

I have to make 30-40 prints for a project and decided to try the Lightroom print module. The prints will be output from existing layered psd master files, most of which are in either a ProPhoto or Colormatch color space.
I imported a folder of master files into LR and opened one up in the print module. On the up side: I love the LR interface, the ease of going through the check list (seems easier and less confusing than the print box in photoshop), the ease of adding custom text (very handy for captions!), and I ESPECIALLY love checking the box to center the print and actually having it centered properly in the output print (unlike needing to monkey with the "left=" numbers or visually play with the location of the image on the page in the CS2 or CS3 print box). Its been a big pain for the last few years in CS2 to never quite have the darn thing centered when printing on my Epson 2200. I was thrilled that in LR the centering actually worked!
On the down side to printing in LR (and this is a BIG down): the prints are a good full stop lighter than the ones I print from CS2 or CS3. When printing from CS2 or CS3, with a profiled monitor and use of the proper printing profile, I get pretty close to WYSIWYG most of the time. I'm getting WYSIWYG in Lightroom (the output print DOES look like the monitor), but what I see in the print module window is a good full stop lighter than what my imported master files look like when opened and printed from photoshop. And the LR print comes out correspondingly lighter.
For final output printing of art or presentation prints, I generally will want to use a layered, polished, file that I have tinkered with in photoshop. LR still does not have enough features to do everything I need to create that kind of final print or delivery file.
So my question: why the mismatch between the appearance of a master file in CS2/CS3 and LR? Is there any way to correct this? I would love to use LR to output my prints, but as it is its not a good idea.
One last thing: I have been a big fan of PhotoKit Sharpener both for capture sharpening and for output sharpening. Is there a way to use it in a LR workflow? I'm particularly interested in using the output sharpener for prints, which is wonderful and has always done a great job.
Thanks for any feedback or insight.
Info background: I am using a dual 2GHz G5 PowerPC with 3.5 GB ram, running OS 10.4.10, using LR 1.1, as well as photoshop CS2 and CS3, printing with an Epson 2200.

    Jeff et al:
I did as you advised, and imported another folder of layered master files into LR. The first folder that I imported I had used the "none" development preset. On the second imported folder I used the "Zeroed" preset as per your suggestion.
The first ones were too light, but the second ones were a significantly better match. I have to say the image as viewed in the LR window is very close, although still not identical, to the image as viewed in Photoshop. For some reason the LR has a slightly more yellow cast, while the original in Photoshop is a bit more magenta. I made two prints from the same image, one via LR and the other via Photoshop, and you can see the same respective yellow or magenta cast in the prints. The LR print is also slightly muddier (but only marginally).
I read on another thread started by John Vitollo called "Anyway to turn off 'Apply Auto Tone Adjustments' with Tiffs + PSDs?" that John was also having problems with PSDs appearing too light in LR. Lee Jay told him to turn off the "Apply Auto Tone Adjustments" in the Edit > Preferences > Presets (top box). I found that this option was enabled for all of the instances above, so my guess is that "Apply Auto Tone Adjustments" overrides "none" in the development module pull down menu during import... Don't know if this is something that needs to be fixed...?
In any case, given that I have successfully printed 10 images in Photoshop, for this particular project I will probably continue printing in PS so as to be able to match the tone and formatting. For future I will try to figure out printing in LR, but as of now I can't see any particular advantage to printing in the LR print module (except for the nice centering feature). When I imported and copied my layered master files into LR, it took a verrrrrry long time, and wasn't worth the time investment. Also am not sure what's causing this slight color shift, and don't want to invest in making a lot of prints till I can sort that out.
Any additional suggestions or comments are welcome.
    Many thanks,

  • Mf6161dw scans are too light when scanning hand written text

mf6161dw scans are too light when scanning hand written text. I changed from b&w to greyscale, which now makes the text legible. However the text is still medium grey instead of black on my old scanner. Need help or i will have to return it.

    Hi steelcofence.
When scanning handwritten documents, the light from the lamp may reflect on the ink.  Since scanning in greyscale did not return the image quality that you would prefer, I recommend scanning handwritten documents in [Color].

  • How do I print a pdf file that is printing too light to read??

I have a pdf that I must print to buy a home.  It will not print as is. I shot screen shots, brought them into Photoshop, made them jpgs and adjusted the gamma to make them very black and white.
It helped but the pages cannot be read. There is plenty of ink in the printer.
I need to send this paperwork tomorrow with a check...
    WHAT TO DO?

I have this problem as well, prints come too light out of my Brother5370DW and consulted several channels on internet. Printing from pc was never a problem, only from mac: jpgs, tifs, txt, from Preview, Safari, Firefox, Photoshop, Acrobat etc whenever the document it was not full b/w. Especially screenshots from Google maps were just illegible. I just tried to print a pdf with dark grey text, very light as well. Then it ocurred to me to change the color matching profile in the printer's dialogue window: instead of automatic (which is Adobe RGB (1998) by default, I choose Black & White, and finally it prints fine: black what is supposed to be black, idem for dark greys, light greys.

  • Images look too light on new monitor

    Hi,
I hope you can help me. I've been working in CS5.5 on two Dell desktops, using two Dell Ultrasharp monitors. The color was consistent on both. I created files on the newest of the two computers, viewing them on the Ultrasharp 2311 monitor. The files were used to produce both printed and digital books, and everything looked good. Note - I'm not a graphic designer. I never calibrated the monitors or made any adjustments to the settings, either in the system display or in PS.
I just retired the oldest computer and bought a new Dell computer, along with the Ultrasharp 2711 monitor, which has excellent reviews. The files that look fine on my two-year old computer/monitor are too washed out on the new monitor. Dell couldn't figure out the problem and sent me a new monitor, which didn't change anything. The technician at Adobe could see the problem and we played with the settings, but couldn't fix it. If I go to Proof Setup/Monitor RGB it gets closer, but it's still too light. I never made this adjustment on the older monitor.
I KNOW the files produced on the older monitor work, because I've seen the finished printed and digital books. Manipulating the file on the new system isn't the answer. There must be some setting that needs to be adjusted, but neither Dell nor Adobe can help me.
By the way, my older monitor looks fine connected to the new computer, so it's not a computer issue.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks so much,
    Chris

Thanks Peter & Sid. I appreciate the advice, but it doesn't match our experience over 12 years of designing web applications so I'm having trouble understanding what's different, can I ask for any more advice you might have?
If we calibrate the monitor using the recommended tools, will Photoshop images look 2-3 f-stops brighter (i.e. as they should look) and will images in all other apps (which look fine now, have always looked fine) look 2-3 f-stops too bright? Or would we be changing JUST the way Photoshop sees the images?
Through probably a dozen different previous CRT and LCD monitors, we've never calibrated anything. Even on our immediately-previous Samsung 213T monitor, images appear pretty much the same in Photoshop as they do in all other places. That includes published web sites viewed with several popular browsers and viewed on literally hundreds of different systems inside and outside of our office.
The previous monitor was being used with exactly the same software and hardware as the new one. The only thing that's changed is the monitor.
Peter asks about brightness or white point luminance. I haven't used any tool to determine that. The monitor is set to 50% brightness, for whatever that's worth, but I can tell you that it is substantially BRIGHTER on white than the previous monitor. The previous Samsung monitor is being run side-by-side with the new one, and it looks quite dull and yellow beside the new one (and we thought it was a great monitor!) The new 30" Samsung has MUCH whiter whites. Does that help even a little?
    Thanks for any further advice.
