FB4 eclipse plugin + windows xp

Hi there,
Need one urgent help...
We were using the trial verstion of FB4 eclipse plugin and now we have the valid license key ...
But the problem is we never get the activation screen on the windows xp machines whereas on vista machines we do get the activation screen to enter serial number..
We have also tried deleting/updating license.properties inside appusers folder but every time we open eclipse again, that license.properties gets made again with the trial key again...
pls help...

Hi,
After launching eclipse, please switch to Flash perspective which would then trigger the activation screen.
If that doesn't work, after switching to flash perspective, just restart eclipse so that it launches in Flash perspective and you should see the activation screen.
Thanks,
Deeptika

  • FB4 Eclipse plugin referencing to trial key and not to valid license key

After uninstalling trial version, I installed Flash Builder 4 Standalone version with new serial key and that works fine, but after that I installed Flash Builder 4 Eclipse plugin and that didnt work. I checked the asm3.log file and it had message "SLCoreService: Query license: type = 1, duration = 60 days, remaining = expired.".
Why FB4 Eclipse plugin reference to trial key and not valid key?
Flash Builder 4 Standalone license key does not work for Flash Builder 4 Eclipse plugin? Do I need new license for FB4 Eclipse plugin?
Why it work for Flash Builder 4 Standalone version and not for Flash Builder 4 Eclipse plugin?

The same license key will work for both FB4 Standalone and FB4 Plug-in.
In order to get out of trial mode for FB4 Plug-in, launch the bundled copy of eclipse, and switch to the Flash perspective. This should trigger the Activation dialog, where you can enter your SN.

  • Problem exiting eclipse 3.7 while using FB4.6 Plugin

I've tried many different versions of eclipse and I've come down to the realization that it is FB4.6.
Everytime I exit eclipse a pop up saying there are errors look in the metadata/.log file.
It appears as if FB4.6 is missing some of the plugins that it is trying to use. Any solutions?
    Here is the .log File:
This is using eclipse 3.6. Every other version that I tested throws a similar if not identical .log file.
I've tried reinstalling everything, and starting in a clean work environment.

Note: The ecplise plug ins are installed properly.

I'm afraid that I only built QT for CE once and that was many years ago, so I am hardly an expert.
I would search the entire QT code base and see if you can figure out what it thinks std::Lockit actually is.  I would still try adding my own std::Lockit::~Lockit just to see if you can resolve the compile errors (this would obviously still need to
be resolved, but at least you would know that is your only problem).
As far as static linking, try to figure out where the /MD (or /MDd) compile option is coming from in the configuration scripts and change it to /MT (/MTd).
You might also look here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16770179/what-std-lockit-does.  That sounds like you might have an interator debugging/secure SCL mismatch.

I've tried removing the "EmbeddedLDAP.lok" file, but without luck.

Which version of your eclipse? I am using eclipse 3.0 and I am able to start weblogic 8.1 from eclipse.
    I did the following steps:
1.create a new domain through weblogic's configuration wizard --> basic weblogic server domain --> Express --> proive the user name and password --> development mode, and sun sdk (or other jdk) --> your new domain name
    2. configure weblogic setting in eclipse: preferences --> weblogic --> 8.1, C:\bea\weblogic81, your newly created domain name --> C:\bea\user_projects\domains (domain directory) --> myserver --> admin (or your user name) --> password --> localhost --> 7001
after that, you should be able to click on "start weblogic server" button from toolbar.
Hope my two cents solve your problem.

  • Unable to install FB4 premium plugin

    Hi guys,
I had FB4-beta 2 plugin installed on an existing eclipse 3.4.2.  Now that official release is out, beta 2 stopped working.  So I was forced to get FB4 premium.  I have used the uninstall utili that came with FB4-beta 2 to uninstall it, and installed FB4 trial version.  Everything went as expected so far.  Now how ever when I launch eclipse I don't have Flash builder prespective, nor does my code have any syntax highlighted or any help.  Under "help" section I tried to "Deactivate Flash builder", "Register Flash builder..." options but each time I get "The operation is disabled" message.  If I open a mxml file or .as file I get the attached error message in the console.  I have tried this couple of times, without success.
Has any one else come across this? Do I need to delete some hidden file(s) after uninstall.  I am stuck, and need to get this resolved soon so I can move on with project development.
    Thank you,
    Jay
p.s: Using FB4 as Plugin on Mac OSX, I can't start from scratch because eclipse have other plugins installed and configured, which I cannot lose, or have to do all over again.

  • Error while installing AVR Eclipse Plugin in Linux

    Hello Everyone,
I got the latest lubuntu op system running and already installed Eclipse Platform Version: 3.8.1. I am new to linux and to eclipse too.
My goal is to use eclipse for AVR programming in linux environment. I tried to follow some tutorials. They say to follow these few steps.:
[Help] -> [Install new software] -> [Work with] :site link
After i have added that link eclipse says Could not find that site link
I actually tried another method which worked for me in windows. In Windows I added the content.jar file and could install the AVR plugin. I tried to do the same in linux. However i got the following error:
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
    session context was:(profile=PlatformProfile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
    Artifact not found: jar:file:/home/kechua/Asztal/AVR%20Eclipse%20Plugin/artifacts.jar!/plugins/de.innot.avreclipse.core_2.4.2.jar. (...)
Is there a way to install AVR Eclipse Plugin in linux?

You should have the Marketplace Client feature installed.
Go to the Install New software, select your Eclipse base repository and look at General Purpose Tools -> Marketplace Client.
(The instructions are for Luna, I do not have older versions at hand).
Install it if it is missing and try again.
You may need to also install the GCC-AVR package from your Linux distribution repository.

  • Kodo 4.0/ Eclipse Plugin problems

    Hi,
I have added Kodo plugin (2.1.0) to Eclipse (3.1.1) plugin folder as
described in the manual. I've also copied all the Kodo libraries and
    classes12.jar into Eclipse\plugins\kodo.eclipse_2.1.0 and modified
    plugin.xml.
I can see the menu item "Kodo" in Eclipse, but I can't start the Kodo
    preferences under Windows->Preferences. Following Error:
Plug-in kodo was unable to load class
    kodo.jdbc.integration.eclipse.KodoPlugin.
    Does anyone have an idea?
    Thanks,

  • Unable to install Eclipse Plugin for Azure

I am unable to install the Eclipse Plugin for Azure.  I have Eclipse Indigo and have installed the Azure SDK 2.3.  When I try to add the site http://dl.msopentech.com/eclipse in the Install New Software window I get an authentication pop-up.
When I try my Microsoft ID it fails authentication.  The instructions do not mention any authentication.  What should I put in here?

    Hi,
This plugin requires Azure SDK 2.3. This can be downloaded using the Web Platform Installer (WebPI) at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=252838. However, if you don’t have it installed, when you create your first Azure deployment project, the plugin will automatically install
    Azure SDK 2.3.
Also, you could download the sdk from GitHub (https://github.com/MSOpenTech/WindowsAzureToolkitForEclipseWithJava ) and manually install . And you could refer to this blog
    (http://java.interoperabilitybridges.com/cloud ).
    Please try it.

  • Eclipse plugin & errors with imports

I've been using the Eclipse plugin and it's working well. Then I added an

How did you configure your Preferences panel? The Eclipse plugin
doesn't use a kodo.properties file. You should specify your driver

    Hi Guys,
Loosely related question, is there any chance that build of an
    individual
class will some day trigger enhancement where appropriate? Currently it
seems that only full project re-build does the trick ...
It is a minor thingy, probably in 'nice to have' category.

  • Installing the Android Eclipse plugin: AUR vs Eclipse built-in install

The wiki suggests that you install the Android Developer Tools Eclipse plugin from the AUR. I had this running earlier in the year but, due to being away, mothballed my system for several months (I do this too often!) and found that after the update-orgy that followed, the Android plugins weren't showing up in any sense in my Eclipse interface. Since I wasn't mid-project, I decided it was easier just to entirely remove Eclipse and install it all from scratch. Then I noticed that Eclipse has a built in mechanism for installing plugins. My setup now works as before.
Of course "I did something wrong so it didn't work" is not the same as "it's a bad method", but what is the advantage of installing from the AUR as opposed to straight from Google? Should I add a comment to the wiki on this?

There are a couple of things we've found that can interfere with using a CS5 Suite SN with FB4 Plug-in:
    - if you have multiple copies of FB4 Plug-in installed on your machine, only the first one will be able to use a Suite SN
    - with some configurations, you need to have the qualifying CS5 Suite (Web Premium or Master Collection) installed on the same machine where you're running FB4 Plug-in.
To remedy the first problem, here's an approach we've found to work:
    - uninstall all copies of FB4 Plug-in
    - run the CS5 Clean Script, and if it finds additional copies of FB4 Plug-in, allow it to remove them. You can find the CS5 Clean Script here: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs5clean.html
    - reboot before re-installing FB4 Plug-in.
After re-installing FB4 Plug-in, if you want to plug into multiple copies of eclipse on your system, you don't need to install it multiple times. Instead, just copy the link file from the dropins folder in the copy of eclipse (eclipse-host-distro) bundled with FB4 Plug-in, and paste that link file into the dropins folder of your own copy of eclipse. You can repeat this multiple times if you have more than one custom copy of eclipse to plug into.

  • WSAD 5 / Eclipse plugin not working

I have installed the Kodo plugin into my Websphere Application Developer
5.1.0 environment. I have configured the Kodo preferences and selected "Add
Enhancer to Build" for my project.
Still, the other items on the Kodo menu remain grayed out ("Enhance
Metadata", "Refresh Mappings", etc.). Can anyone tell me what I'm doing
    wrong?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
there is a typo in the plugin.xml file for the Kodo plugin.
    change the following line -
    <library name="jakarta-commons-logging-1.0.2.jar"/>
    to -
    <library name="jakarta-commons-logging-1.0.3.jar"/>
    and restart Eclipse.
    Should do the trick.

I noticed that in plugin.xml there was incorrect reference

Changing this I could get it working.

  • Eclipse Plugin - no "Kodo Preferences"

I have been trying to install the Eclipse Plugin for Kodo.
In the Eclipse preferences, I can see "Kodo Preferences" listed on the
left, but when I select it nothing happens - the right hand side does not
refresh to show Kodo Preferences. After I close the Eclipse preferences
window it can not be reopened (selecting Window>Preferences appears to
have no affect). If I do not click on "Kodo Preferences", then there is no
problem opening the Eclipse preferences afterwards.

Michael, you would be correct. We defer to Eclipse's preference
persistence mechanism (which resolves to a pref_store.ini file (or
something like that) which is also a .properties file at
    $WORKSPACE/.metadata/.plugins/com.solarmetric.../

  • Eclipse plugin output

I'm having, or at least think I'm having, a problem with the Eclipse
plugin that I'm hoping somebody can help me with. I'm not getting any sort
of feedback when I enhance or perform schema operations. The Kodo View in
Eclipse shows nothing and one or both of the Log/Output panes of the View
go gray. Shouldn't I expect some sort of output?
    Thanks,
    Scott

Its probable that when you select yes, that actual work is not getting
done and the error is not being logged correctly. How did you configure
your database connection? If you select yes (e.g. actually create the
tables), can you see the changes being made in the database? If not, are
you able to connect using Kodo standalone?
We focus our plugins towards major releases and can't verify our plugin
compatibility with each minor or milestone release. Sorry about the
difficulty there. Unfortunately, Eclipse's API often changes drastically
    without notice.

    Steve,
Thanks for the response. I was using the 2.1 M4 release (latest stable)

went away but still had the output problems. Today I backed down to the M3
release where I was, and now get output. I am still a bit confused though,
when I select one of the schema options, and select \"No\" to the question
regarding actually altering the schema, I get the following output in the
    Output window.
<error>-SchemaTool failed. The message included was:

    What\'s up with that?
