FBL1N - Select data source

Hi,
Where do I change the default settings for the "Select data source" button in FBL1N?
I only want the box for database to be ticked(now both database and archive is ticked).
Best Regards
Magnus

HI,
Its okay you can remove the selection made for archive data, it is not going to impact adversly....
System just want instruction that where should it bring data from....if you feel need to bring data which have already been archived then select archive box before running the report and execute..

  • Select Data Source and Microsoft Security Issue

    Hi,
    Tool- Xcelsius 2008, QAaWS
    When I open dashboard, it gives message "Microsoft Office has identified a potential security concern" "Data Connection have been blocked. If you choose to enable data connection, your computer may no longer be secure. Do not enable this content unless you trust the source of this file." with <Enable> and <Discable> buttons.
    If it Enabled then leads to "Select Data Source" screen and asks details for DSN.
    At every open it shows same messages.
    Please, help if anyone knows or faced this issue.

    hi,
    this is a really old post.
    please could you specify your exact workflow ?
    what connectors your dashboard is using?
    also, what version and SP and patch are you using for Xcelsius client?

  • The selected data source is read-only

    Anyone know how to fix this "issue"
    The selected data source is read-only. You cannot change the view configuration.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Assuming that it's not actually read-only (because you're trying to hit a follower node or a data source that is currently loading non transactionally, etc.), you should be able to just click the Data Source edit button and click Save to "wake it up".
    In previous versions of the product there was a "Refresh Data Sources" that would do the trick but I haven't seen it in the 3.0 version of Studio.
    If enough people need it, maybe we'll just write it or something.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about the custom web part.
    Per my knowledge, we should customize the EditorPart instead of the
    ToolPart to bind the lists to the dropdown list.
    There is a good article about customizing web part, you can refer to it.

  • Charts - Selecting Data Source

    Hi,
    Can anyone help, I am combining a pivot table with a chart. I dont wish for all the items to be displayed from the pivot table on the chart. Is there a way to restrict the source data(columns) to appear on the chart?
    There is a page drop down option and I would like the pivot table to remain with the chart to reflect the users choice of filtering.
    Thanks

    hi,
    Straight answer No,
    If you are strict to use Pivot table ,then Try to Duplicate the pivot view:1 for Chart in pivot and pivot View:2 Only Pivot

  • Error accessing selected data source: PAS Cube not available

    Hi all,
    we were running SSM 7.0 SP04 and updated to SP05. After that accessing to PAS cubes is not possible anymore. We have tried from de SSM administrator (set kpi option), and also from the user interface (scorecard tab).
    I have check the model connections (manage models) and test has been succesful.
    Any help on this matter will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Alfonso

    Hello Alfonso,
    Have you checked the Set Scorecard Defaults option in the Admin interface? Is the PAS model still assigned to the context?
    If the Model Connection test was successful, the only other option would be that you are using PAS security and your user is not associated with any PAS user under the existing Application Server Connections for that Model.
    As of SP5 HF3, the application displays clear messages when encountering model connection problems. Perhaps upgrading to this HF or to SP6 it will be easier for you to troubleshoot this situation.
    By the way, the SP6 is already released for customer (See SAP Note 1308704).
    Hope this helps!

  • Adhoc Reporting using Data Sources instead of Report Model

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm working on SSRS 2008. I'm trying to create Adhoc Report using Report Builder 3.0. To select Data Source, both *.rsds and *.smdl are listed. I selected a Data Source which points to a SQL database. When I add New datasets, I'm able to add the fields and
    it automatically detect relationships (Joins) using Primary Key and Foreign Key defined in the tables. I'm also able to edit the query. I ran the report and it ran successfully.
    My question is I couldn't find any documentation regarding using Data Source for Adhoc Reporting. MS SQL documentation and forums insists that Report Model is required for Adhoc Reporting.
    Please let me know if someone tried to create Adhoc Report using Data Source instead of Report Model. While I understand there are more benefits using Report Model (define entities/attributes, show/hide entity/attributes, organize entities/attributes etc.),
    I just want to know if this is possible.
    Are there any known limitation using this method?
    Thanks In Advance!

    Hi Ereswaran,
    Yes, we can create ad hoc report using report using data source instead of Report Model. Ad hoc reports typically are used to answer a specific question at appoint in time, so consequently people don’t spend a lot of time arranging and formatting the data
    in a precise way. Other report development tools are available in Reporting Services to support more sophisticated reporting requirements.
    Using Report Builder, we can build a simple report that display data form a single data source as defined by a report model. This tool is most useful for business users who need access to information but lack the skills to write a SQL query. If we have full
    experience of SQL query, of course we can use data source instead of Report Model.
    If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Selection of a field in data source

    Hi,
    I have to select the check box for a field in the Selection column of a data source. But the field is in non editable mode.
    Can any body please let me know how to make the field editable.
    Thanks

    Hi Sam/Chandran,
    Thanks for your quick response. But here I am doing exactly how you said, by going into RSA6 and changing the data source. But the other fileds are in editable mode and only the filed which I want to select is in non-editable mode. May be any other reason for this?
    Thanks in advance.

  • How do I select a data source for my webapp?

    Wel, I'm obviously not looking in the right manual because this ought to be like falling off a log!
    I have developed a web application in JDeveloper 10.1.3 and I'm deploying it (using a WAR file) to an OC4J container in OAS 10.1.3.
    I have created a JDBC data source (JNDI location jdbc/bmra89) to connect to a 9.2.0.7 Oracle database and testing this through the interface is successful. The data source is associated with a new Connection Pool.
    I ensure that a default data-sources.xml file is NOT bundled into my WAR file from JDeveloper (because the database I want to connect to from the OAS is different to the database I want to connect to from the deployed web app) so it should be looking for one it builds itself. In fact, data-sources.xml exists in the j2ee/<webapp_name>/config directory that contains the details of the data source and connection pool I created.
    During deployment of the generated WAR file, I have chosen to Edit the Deployment Plan and in here I have entered the name of the data source (jdbc/bmra89) into the box labelled "defaultDataSource" and the boxes labelled "connectorsPath" and "dataSourcesPath" I've left empty.
    It all deploys OK, but when I try to access a page I get the following error:
    500 Internal Server Error
    JBO-30003: The application pool (model.AppModuleLocal) failed to checkout an application module due to the following exception:
    oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.JboException, msg=JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.JboException, msg=JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.DMLException, msg=JBO-26061: Error while opening JDBC connection.
         at oracle.jbo.common.ampool.ApplicationPoolImpl.doCheckout(ApplicationPoolImpl.java:1954)
    So, any ideas where I'm going wrong? (I have to admit to being pretty lost with all this!)
    Thanks,
    Andy

    Let's try to do this as easy as I'm capable of explaining.
    Deploy the EAR to the Application server/OC4J standalone that you're trying to configure without modifying or removing any of the files in the EAR or WAR file and using all of the defaults.
    Now start up the Application server control in you choice of web browser, my URL is http://localhost:8888/em.
    After logging into the console select the "Adminstration" Link, and there will be List of Administration Tasks, one of which being the JDBC Resources under, Services.
    After selecting the JDBC Resources "Go to Task" you will see 2 areas, Data Sources and Connection Pools. Somewhere in all of this you should see the jdev-connection-pool-bmra89, jdev-connection-managed-bmra89, and jdev-connection-native-bmra89.
    I normally modify the jdev-connection-pool-xxxxx first to use the correct URL connection. IE- jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:bmra89 to jdbc:oracle:thin:@138.51.128.100:1521:bmra89, changing localhost to a specific database IP address.
    Then I'll click the Apply, and then go back and do the same to the jdev-connection-native-bmra89.
    At this point you should be able to test the connections successfully, and get the Web Service to connect.
    I hope I've covered it and that this helps, and you're not being thick. The data sources part of this stuff can be confusing.

  • How to select column dynamically with sharepoint list as data source in ssrs report

    Hi all,
    I am creating reports from SharePoint list but i have requirements to select the column name dynamically with SharePoint list as data source. I didn't find any way of doing this..
    Can anyone help me to resolve this issue..
    There is no way of specifying column name dynamically here in data set query
    <RSSharePointList xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
      <ListName>test list</ListName>
      <ViewFields>
        <FieldRef Name="ID" />
        <FieldRef Name="ContentType" />
        <FieldRef Name="Title" />
        <FieldRef Name="Modified" />
        <FieldRef Name="Created" />
        <FieldRef Name="Author" />
        <FieldRef Name="Editor" />
        <FieldRef Name="_UIVersionString" />
        <FieldRef Name="Attachments" />
        <FieldRef Name="Edit" />
        <FieldRef Name="LinkTitleNoMenu" />
        <FieldRef Name="LinkTitle" />
        <FieldRef Name="DocIcon" />
        <FieldRef Name="ItemChildCount" />
        <FieldRef Name="FolderChildCount" />
        <FieldRef Name="test_x0020_date" />
        <FieldRef Name="title2" />
      </ViewFields>
    </RSSharePointList>

    Hi MNRSPDev,
    Sorry for the delay.
    According to the current description, I understand that you want to specify column name in dataset query designer dynamically when using SharePoint list data source.
    Based on my research, this is not supported by default. As a workaround, you can use XML data source. The XML content can be embedded directly within the query. This lets you use the expression capabilities within the processing engine to build queries and
    data dynamically within the report. And it can be used for retrieving XML data directly from an external data source, passing it using parameters, and embedding it within the query.

  • 'Select a measure:' stuck on 'Loading...' in Dashboard Designer KPI Dimensional Data Source Mapping

    [using SharePoint 2013 Enterprise SP1]
    I am trying to create a KPI in Dashboard Designer, but am getting a timeout. I have been doing this for a while on my site; this is not the first. I haven't had this problem before.
    I created a new KPI and clicked on the Data Mappings column value, which is a hyperlink, to bring up the Dimensional Data Source Mapping dialog. I switched to a Data Connection in the site I just created (DC works perfectly and can retrieve sample data).
    When I click the "Select a measure:" drop-down menu, I get the message "Loading..." and after a while (a minute? two?) a dialog pops up with:
    The request took too long to complete. SharePoint is currently unavailable or experiencing heavy traffic. Try again later.
    This is a test SP server and I'm the only one on it, so there is no load. Also as mentioned, I am able to verify the Data Connection without problem. I am not having any issue with any of my other few dozen KPIs/Data Connections. Any suggestions as to how
    to troubleshoot?

    Hi cgtyoder,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you created a KPI in Dashboard Designer.
    Please try to recycle the PerformancePoint Services Application Pool account, compare the result.
    Please go to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\the port of web application, adjust the HttpRuntime executionTimeout for the Web Application by modifying the web.config, now PerformancePoint report stability is much better:
    <httpRuntime executionTimeout="600" maxRequestLength="51200" />
    Note: before you change the web.config file, please make a bakcup for the file.
    If this issue still exists, please go to the log file to find more information about this issue.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • How to select from multiple output tables in the SAP Data Source

    Hi,
    We're using the SAP Data Source to display SAP data in our portal from the Bapi: BAPI_INFORECORD_GETLIST. When defining the Bapi Meta Data we can select data from one of the two output tables (INFORECORD_GENERAL and INFORECORD_PURCHORG). But we want to select data from both tables (some columns we want to show are in INFORECORD_GENERAL and some are in INFORECORD_PURCHORG) .
    How can we do this ?
    With regards,
    Ramon van der Weiden

    You can query multiple TimesTen databases, but your original question was about joining tables from two databases, which is not supported.
    Using Cache Connect to Oracle to query an Oracle database is not distributed. It's still one single Oracle database you are querying. You cannot join a table in the TimesTen database with a table in the Oracle database, this is not allowed.
    If you are willing to share your business requiremens, we can take a look and see what solution might work for you. Would you like to discuss this offline?
