FBL3N Archive Data Issue

Hi Experts,
In my company we are facing one issue where in business has requested for G/L Archive data (Year 2000 to 2004, transaction FBL3N). The case has become complecated as because business is looking for offset account information also in line items.
Now, I have applied relevant OSS notes in order to display offset account info in FBL3N but issue is we are using transaction /PBS/FBL3N to display archive data (as transaction FBL3N will not display archive data).
Also, OSS code correction does not work for /PBS/FBL3N because archive data is not stored in standard SAP tables (BSEG, BKPF) and suggested code correction is for tables BKPF & BSEG.
Please suggest me if there is any solution to request.

But my data is already archived and now we are accessing that information through transaction /PBS/FBL3N without pulling it into standard SAP tables.
We have to do some enhancement (displaying offsetting account information) on that archive data.
Further help would be appreciated.

the error might be that you are just executing programs and you dont know the correct chain.
Better you do archiving always from SARA transaction
there you enter the object MM_EKKO and hit enter.
You get a button for each step.
first you usually have a preprocessing step which sets the deletion indicators
next step is the write step. you always have to check the log and the spool file to be certain that you had written records to an archive. A bigger archiving step may write several archives depending on the customizing of file size.
In the delete step you have to select from against which archive you want delete the records from the table.
SAP checks then if the archive can be read and deletes the corresponding tables entries in EKKO and EKPO and all other related tables.
Depending on customizing the Delete step can be an automatic executed step when the write job has finished, and does not need to be executed manually.
after the deletion you usually store the archive somewhere.
The administer button can give you info about the archive run and files that were created and the status.

URGENT!!!! - Reading Archived Data from a Report.

Hi,
The data, prior to 15 months, of some tables (BSEG, BSAK),
used in the report YGF11347 has been archived.
Previously this report YGF11347 was run for vendor payment information for any time frame
through FBL1N. So any vendor line items from 2004, 2005, 2006 and current year,
all data elements were available to be extracted and displayed on the report.
Recently the Check Amount is missing when executing the report for payments made prior to
04/01/2006. This is because of archiving the data prior to 15 months.
My requirement is tht i need to display this archived data also in the report "YGF11347".
Can anyone please help me on this issue.

Online report from archived data

We have Ztables as it contains a lot of transactional data growing very fast. hence we are planning to archive this ZTABLES using archiving objects.
but once data is archived we might need to run reports at a later time(a online report ) and still need this data. How can we achive this?
can i have details about the stratergy discussed it anyone tried the same?
or is there some other way? we need to reduce the data in ZTABLES for sure as it will be performance issue. can someone advice the best stratergy 4 the same?

Hello.
When you create an archiving object, you can assign it to an archive infostructure. This is a table that contains some of the fields of the table that you will archive and speeds up the access to archived objects (works like an index).
Check in tcode SARI-Customizing-Create. After creating must activate.
Then, will be created a table ZARIX... where you can see data in se16 like a normal database table.
Example:
Archive Object: SD_VBRK
Archive Infosctrucure: SAP_SD_VBRK_002
Table created: ZARIXSD3 (in my system).
* Acess archive data
SELECT SINGLE gentab FROM aind_str2
INTO (w_gentab)
WHERE archindex EQ 'SAP_SD_VBRK_002'
AND active EQ 'X'.

How to archive data which is in sap content server

Hi Experts,
We are facing issue with data stored in content server. With the time the data which is in content server is increasing and reaching the size limitation of content server. We want to archive data which is already present in content server.
Is there any stategy for this and how we can archive the data which is already inside sap content server.

It really helps to ansewer some of my questions.
I would like to ask some more information for content server to you. As you said content server will allow to increase the database size upto 64TB and advise for the either of the 2 activiteis.
1. If I shift the data which is old to some other storage, should that storage device be connected to content server.
e.g If I have decided to store data on some file system I have to connect file system with the content server with the specific driver for file system.
2. Next you said to install new content server, but as I know content server provide us the facility to connect to various instances of database system if one of the instance reaches its limit of 64 TB, so would it be good to install some other instances of database or the new sap conent server.
3. Which storage media (File system and Instance of Database) is prefferable in terms of cost and security to enhance the scalability of content server.

Problem in Retrieval of archived data

I have archived data from DSO successfully but after sometime activation of new data records on that DSO got failed it was showing this error ' 176 records are locked by the archiving object '. To remove this activation error I deleted the archiving object of that DSO. And issue got resolved.
But now when I want to retrieve that archived data onto the copy of that DSO. DTP is not able to fetch any archived data records and get over with green status.
I also used SARA tcode to reload data onto the DSO for that I entered archiving object name but when i press Archive Selection tab its showing nothing to select.
Kindly help me with this issue.

Correct me if i'm wrong with understanding, you want to retrieve the archive data but by running read program you are not able to display data from archive/file.
- Run the read program in batch mode not with option Dialog mode.
Reload will re-load the data back into your database tables. With reload option you are not getting archive session to select... If so then check your archive session status, if case archive session is incomplete then it will not appear.

How to reload the archived data for Fi_documnt

Hi..could any one plz let me know how can i reload the archived data which is on third party storage into sap database back. The archived data is related to FI_DOCUMNT. We don't have the Reload program for this object. The requirement is : Some of the FI documents are archived before being cleared. So, we want to reload the archived data back to SAP database and then do some modifications.
Please tell me how this is possible..thanks a lot in advance.

The information u provided looks good. However, as you know SAP has removed the Reload option for the archiving object FI_DOCUMNT in the last year. When i'm following ur steps, it's again taking me to the SARA transaction where i don't find the button for Reloading the archived data. The issue is like we have archived some of the posting documents or FI documents but during archiving, the complete flow was not followed and now we are required to archive the missing documents. In short, we have archived the FI documents whose clearing date was not even set or we have missed some of the documents. So we need to reload all the FI documents and then archive all the reloaded data with proper FI flow.
Or do we have any custom program which will reload the archived data from the archive files??
Would this really helpful for us if you show some inputs on this.

Archiving data in ods

Hello out there
In our company we ara going to archive transactional data for the first time
I am going to create several ods:es . In those i am going to transfer data before archiving in r3.
Now my question. I will set a flag somewhere and if this is set i will be impossible to delete the data in the ods via rsa1 transaction
I hope this is possible but dont know how to do.

Is your doubt related to some possible authorization settings in order to avoid potential (undesired) deletions of this data ?
I think you can move these ODSs in a dedicated Infoarea and then avoid to assign access into it to anyone...
Otherwise, you can archive data in BW too !
Let me know your specific requirements (do you have to do some reporting on this archived data ?)...

Data Issue

Hi All ..
           We are facing one data issue DSO. One record is worngly loaded with some project iD ( Ex record is having ID GE1234 insted of having LE4423) remaining details are same . we are loading the data furtherly to master data table from the DSO. if i try for reporting for project id LE4423 ,information not avilable because it is heaving wrong ID,it is key also.But in the Source system (CFG) side Data is correct with ID LE4423.
         In update rule we are following one to one mapping for all infoobjects.My requirement is i need to have in my DSo LE4423 . I need to overwrite the record id GE1234 with LE4423 without affecting other fields in the record.
        Shall i load till PSA with the ID LE4423 ..then if load this single record to DSO will overwrite the GE1234 by choosing other field as key field. but we are following one to one mapping in update rule.
Please help me on this. i need to hev a correct id for record.

You can use selective deletion to delete the record with Project ID = GE1234
Load the data till PSA
Load the data to DSO using selection Project ID = LE4423 in DTP from PSA.
check in further data targets also for mismatch of data

Custom report -Mb51 -EBELN,AUFNR,KDAUF & KUNNR -Data issues

This custom report is related to material document list (MB51).
I was trying to retrieve Purchase Order(EBELN),Order number(AUFNR),Sales order(KDAUF) & Ship-to-party( KUNNR) from MSEG & MKPF.
Unfortunately
It looks like for Sales Orders, it picks up the Customer Number but no Order Number. For STOs, it looks like it picks up the STO # but no Customer #.
How to over come this?
FYI..I also tried adding fields to standard report(MB51) and it is also doing the same manner .
Am I pulling it from Wrong tables? or is it related to DATA issues?

Changing the default to location of Archiver data

Hi,
Is there any way that we can change the default location of the Archiver data. By default is goes to archives folder, i want it to goto some other folder.
Similarly when u take up the backup of site. i want it also to be stored in some other folder.
is it possible.???

Not sure what you mean by a back up. There is no built in Disaster recovery tool for UCM. Standard system back ups (file system and DB) for restore should be used.

Consistent Data Issues Even After Replacement

I don't know whether to blame the phone or the ice cream sandwich update for all the problems I have been having with my RAZR. When I first got it six months ago it was great and I loved it now after the ice cream sandwich update I dont really like it anymore. I never had any sort of issues while using it on gingerbread. Today, I have seen my phone switch constantly between 3g and 4g more times than I can count over the course of half an hour. I couldn't even get a consistent signal to watch a 3 minute youtube clip.
First off, I updated it to ICS but first wiped the phone clean including cache, etc. So it would have basically been a clean install. Now, I have certain issues. The 4g and 3g switch is terrible. On the street and in my own house I have had the same thing happen. In my house I get anywhere from 3-5 bars of 4g but it still switches over to 4 bars of 3g. I have even seen it switch from 4g to 3g when I had full bars. I have already replaced the sim cards, but I am still having these issues. It's actually happening on all 4 of my RAZRs on my family plan. I have gone through the network resets where I pull out the sim card and for 30 seconds, insert it, power on the phone, etc. I went through all 4 of them with the Rep over the phone. I have also had several instances where I did not have data but signal bars and then I didn't have absolutely anything at all. I live in a "major" city metro area, Boston, and I can't believe I am having these problems.
At first I would have gone off and blamed Verizon, but it is definitely not Verizon, it is our phones that are terrible. I can confirm this because my brother uses an ipad (4g Verizon) on a separate account and he consistently maintains 4g even though I have seen it go as low as two bars. Yes, I understand the ipad is a different device and may have a different radio, but that is exactly how our phones used to work on gingerbread. I received a replacement device and I am still having the same issues. Also, the headset speaker, not the speaker on the back, or receiver is really tinny during phone calls even with the in call volume down half way. It is really annoying and the little tone that plays after hanging up makes the speaker sound like its about to blow out. I don't know what to do if the RAZR will keep having data issues because this is absolutely ridiculous. I know i'm not entitled to anything but for $310 a month I mean come on, I just want my phone to work properly. As I am typing this now, I have witnessed my phone switch between 4g, 3g, and no signal at least 5 times and of course my brother's iPad on Verizon has kept its 4g signal.

Thanks for all the suggestions, but they just don't work at all guys. I've even tried that restore connectivity app from Motorola, but of course it didn't work. I don't like that I keep having constant switches between 3g,4g, and no signal bars. It's awful thats just what it is. I feel like I got gipped with this update promising better user experience. If the darned thing can't connect to their network, then what is Verizon doing to address these issues? Every time I try to do something "data intensive" (i.e. youtube, facebook, twitter, etc) the data signal just drops and I'm either left with gray bars and no data or no signal bars whatsoever. Also one thing that annoys me to death with this phone is that I have it sitting in my pocket after I lock the screen and I go to pull it out of my otherwise empty pocket. The screen is turned on by itself (I have the clear silicon case on it so the power button shouldn't be pressed by itself and no I don't wear skinny jeans), its got 3g and no bars, and its piping hot.

Master data Issue --- materials have unassigned or # values ...!!

Hello Experts,
I am facing an issue that the Customer Data is missing in a BEx Report.
Data Flow is 2LIS_13_VDITM --> DSO1 --> Merging DSO --> Cube --> Multiprovider --> Bex Report.
Exact issue is Customers in the Bex Report has unassigned to Sales Office, Sales Group, Sales District.
The only reason a customer should show up under u201Cunassignedu201D or u201C#u201D is if itu2019s improperly set up in the system.
customers are assigned with two values. one which has data and the other which has unassigned value.
I wanted to know, how do i check if the matierials are valid to have unassigned Values ?
Checked the Merging DSO and saw that there are actually values assigned values for the affected matierials.
After that checked the Cube data values are displayed except the Master Data values.
I guess..its completely related to Master data. I would like to know how can i resolve this issue.
Please reply me if you face this kind of master data issue in your expeiriance.

Are Sales Office, Sales Group, Sales District are attributes of Customer?
In case they are, then the customers will be unassigned to Sales Office, Sales Group, Sales District in case the data for these attributes is loaded to the customer attributes.
and also check if the customer characteristic is properly assigned in the multiprovider.

In PL-SQL archive data from a table to a file

I am currently developing a vb app where I need to archive data from a table to a file. I was hoping to do this with a stored procedure. I will also need to be able to retrieve the data from the file for future use if necessary. What file types are available? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

What about exporting in an oracle binary format? The export files cannot be modifiable. Is there a way to use the export and import utility in PL/SQL?

OBIEE 11g .0d date issue

Hi,
I create an initialization block to populate a couple of repository variables.
After saving the RDP the value for the default initializer changes from 2011 to 2011.0d
I have been using several workaround. But I need some permanent fix in rpd itself. Can anyone point to some Oracle Document? Is this issue been resolved in latest release of OBIEE. I am using 11.1.1.6.6.
