FBL3N Authorization

Dear SDNers,
I would like to restrict the output diplay of document type HR while executing FBL3N transaction. I found this authorization object F_BKPF_BLA an assigned requred types only. Even though output is displaying HR type in the list.
So, I created a screen variant by excluding HR type and set it as defualt. So, users can fetch records, where HR type is not displaying.
If I check "Protect Variant" option, only creator can change this value. I want to give access to few users who can see HR type, but not others.
So, please guide me how can I restrict users to see HR type and how can I allow others to view it. Is there any authorization object for modifying screen variant?
Please suggest me.

You can either set as variants as visible or invisible by selecting/deselecting the indicator Only display in catalog while creating the variant for FBL3N.
But this is applicable for all users.

I have tried to take control of the authorizations to these reports through F_BKPF_GSB object, but I assign it to a user with authorizations to one GSBER and when I execute the reports the user is still able to see all the GSBER.
How can I limit for the user the view of its own division in FBL1N, FBL3N and FBL5N reports?

Hi Angel,
Please check the following path in SPRO transaction.
Financial Accounting(New) --> Accounts Receivables & Payable --> Customer Accounts --> Display Line items --> Define Additional fields for line item display
Once the field entries are added here it will reflect in FBL5N.

FBL3N - G/L account authorization

Dear All
can we add authorization check in G/L account in T.Code FBL3N ?
example : user "X" must only display G/L account "112233" & "445566"
what is the authorization object to control this issue .

You can add authorisation to check GLs.
For this follow the following steps:
1. Create a role with Authorisation object "F_BKPF_BES".
2. Assign acitivity as 03 Display to the authorisation object.
3. Assign the role created to the respective user IDs.
4. Also in GL master Assign the Authorisation Group in "Control Data" tab.

FBL3N/FBL5N/FAGLL03 user exits and badis for authorization

Hi Gurus,
I have tried userexit and badis for FBL3N , FBL5N and FAGLL03 for the purpose of user want to display documents created by him and other users documents should not display . Please suggest me any user exit or badi and logic for the same.

Hi,
1. Execute report FBL3n and in the output goto menu SETTINGS -> SPECIAL FIELDS and add the entry BKPF-USNAM and save. Now the user who have created the entry will be available in your FBL*N report.
2. Goto BTE event 00001650 - SAMPLE_INTERFACE_00001650, and copy the FM SAMPLE_INTERFACE_00001650 to custom FM. Inside this custom FM, first pass the value of I_POSTAB to E_POSTAB. i.e
E_POSTAB[] = I_POSTAB[].
Now loop E_POSTAB and check whether E_POSTAB-USNAM NE SY-UNAME, then delete that entry from the internal table E_POSTAB.
3. Now create a custom product in FIBF transaction and check the activate checkbox. Attach the event 00001650 and custom FM to the P/S module customer part.

PROBLEM IN T-CODE F-02 & FBL3N

I am facing some problem while giving authorizations for a T-CODE FBL3N & F-02 the problem is there are 4 BUSINESS AREA to be defined out of which only 2 Business area are to be given in a particular USER ID the authoirzation object for business area is F_BKPF_GSB i have restricetd it to only 2 business areas and in the 'ACTIVITY GROUP' i have given the rights for CREATE , CHANGE , GENERATE , PRE-ENTER now when the user enters the T-CODE F-02 he is able to enter all the 4 business areas although the login id has been restricted to only 2 business areas . Can someone help?

Mass Change FBL3n

Dear Guys
I want to use the MASS CHANGE option available in T-CODE FBL3N (G/L Account Line ITEM Display) to change Material. But there is no field of material is avialable there.
How can I use MASS CHANGE option to change to Material Fields in FBL3N
OR
Is there any option to use any EXIT or SCREEN ENHANCEMENT to add a new field there.

In your id try the transaction and then go to SU53, system would show you any missing authorizations. Consult your basis accordingly. I suspect mass change would require specific authorization

Display variant for transaction FBL3N - can it be protected?

Hi Linda,
Line layout variants depend on a few things.
1 authorizations.
you need to make sure general users cannot change the standard layout. This is done via settings, layout, administration.
2. Personal variants, you can create your own variant and set it up just for yourself.
This can be done by selecting the user specifc tick box. The naming will have to be different but a user wont be able to see or change your variant.
3. Lastly you can set your variant in FB00, however all this does is assign a variant to a user, someone with either the correct authorization or a variant that is not a user specific one COULD be changed.

Authorization Issue inFI

We are having a requirement to provide a set of users with posting authorisation in some company code but at the same time we also need to give them view only access for all co codes.
By posting authorisation ,I mean -FB50,FB60,FB70 .F-48 ,F-53 ,F-58 ,F-02 type authorisation.
By view only authorisation , I mean FBL1N,FBL3N,FBL5N, i.e report access.
Basically I want to restrict the organisational assignment at each t code level. I also want to have the same authorisation control such as auth group, co code assignement etc at z reports .
Pls share with us the process through which it can be done.

Hi,
Build two roles one for change access in limited company codes and and other for diplsay access for all company codes.
In the display access role for all activities provide 03 access . The object F_BKPF_BUK restricts the access on company codes.
the object F_BKPF_BES provides restrictions on authorization groups. To know more about this object visit

And for Z transactions, developers need to have incude authorization checks for programs they develop along with assignments in SU24. Parameter transactions derives the authorization checks from parents.

Hello,
To understand the functionality, FBL3N is GL Document line item display.
It is not necessary that every GL document should have profit center. Number of documents may not be having profit center, if you do not implement New GL functionality.
Still, if you want to restrict, you can add the K_PCA authorization object manually in the role and get it tested.

I am working on upgrade project from 4.6C to ECC6.0. On transaction FBL3N report change layout and save layout icons not active; only select layout icon is active.
Please advise how these two icons can be activated.

The object F_IT_ALV has a field, the activity ACTVT, which can
contain four permitted values: 01, 02, 03 and 70.
Activity 03 corresponds to the minimum authorization, which is the
most restricted one: You can only select layouts which have
been configured already. In particular, all of the other functions
named above are inactive with activity 03.
I guess that your user-id have set activity 03 for this object.
The SAP notes 374656 and 409190 are recommended.
So, if the values 01 and 02 are not included, then
the user can't change and save layouts.
For the line item display in FI the authorization
object FI_IT_ALV has been created as an extra security check in addi-
tion to the ALV authorization object S_ALV_LAYO.
Please check note 374656 where you should be able to find
relevant info about this. Also note 637554 should be helpful.

FBL3N Cost Center Authorizaton

Hi, each user has its own cost center and only can see the data of its own cost center
The setting of cost center authroizatoin is done. It works for KSB1. However, when user use FBL3N, there are no such authorization-check. Any Solution ?? Please help

Don't think it's possible to restrict using Cost Centre as there no authorisation object that has this field cost centre for FBL3N.
Why not consider the option of not providing authorisation to FBL3N T code itself?

You are missing an authorization object in your user profile. Run FBL3N and then run SU53 to see which auth obj is missing. Then send those details to your Security.

FBL3N screen layout is in disable

unfortunately from Your problem description is not so easy to understand what it means layout disable.
Anyway I can immagine that the field is grey and that You cannot insert a predefine layout.
So this could be an authorization missing.
Please run SU24 for the transaction FBL3N. You will see all the objects that the transaction calls.
In particular there is the obkect F_IT_ALV that manages the "Line Item Display: Change and Save Layout".
Pleasde check if the user has this authorization by SU53 and checking his profile PFCG.

Control user access to FBL3N by cost center

Hi Expert,
Need your advice.
Our user wish to control the staffs access to FBL3N by cost center.
This is due to the FBL3N contains salaries posting for different department.
However the FBL3N GL listing report also contain documents without cost center.
Any ideas how can we perform the control ? If the FBL3N can amend with include cost center as checking, for the rest of GL without cost center, is it accessible by all users ?

Sorry for misleading. Initiate the request was to retrict the access with cost center object, since it is not possible. So we will advice the user to restrict the GL access.
Just need to confirm, can we modify the FBL3N object F_BKFP_BES : Account authorization for G/L accounts from Check to Check/Maintain ? So that we can assign certain GL only accessible by normal users.
And any impact on this once the changes is make ?
