MY VIDEO CARD BLEW UP THIS MORNING. I HAVE A COMMERCIAL DUE IN THE NEXT MILLENIA.
ANY IDEAS?

Well, this is similar to my situation:
I purchased FCS2 for my G3 iBook with 256 mb RAM and 10 gb of space, except every time I try to open Color it freezes up! Also, I am having dropped frames. I think Apple owes us both a new Mac Pro.

URGENT - I can't install Final cut Studio

I just got FC studio and I can't even get through the second part of installation....saying "try again", which I did many many times!
I have more then enough space and requirements to install this package or else I obviously wouldn't of bought it.

We need more details. What are you calling "the second part of installation"? The 2nd DVD disc?
If that's it, try removing all but the inner two RAM modules from your G5, and try it again.

Urgent Please: Mac-Based Home Studio

i'd really appreciate some urgent advice regarding the following.
a sponsor has offered me about £5000-6000 for starting a mini (home) but professional audio-video studio, provided that i produce a precise list of equipment, hardware and software and all the other necessary gear, required for such a project.
now, i would prefer to have a 100% mac'os'x-based studio. so would someone, who has any experience and ideas, please help me create the list, which will include gear for pro audio and video production: recording, editing, mixing and mastering - both hardware and software (from computers up to mic stands)?
the time for getting back to the sponsor is very very limited! please help me out.

what i had in mind when writing my original post was simple audiovisual services on an experienced level.
for example, recently i used a powerbook g4, garageband, jam pack 4, behringer mini sound desk, a studio condenser mic, semi-acoustic guitars, m-audio midi keyboard - to very skilfully record, track by track, an album at home. the material was later mastered at a standard professional studio, and, the result was a professionally and beautifully done piece of music, ready for sale and distribution.
as i have now moved to south russia, where even basic audiovisual services are apparently in high demand, i thought perhaps i could start a business along those lines, side by side with my main occupation, to accept personal and collective orders.
theoretically, i would imagine two sets of computers, one for audio, the other one for video, both equipped with plenty of memory, external drive space, fast cd/dvd-writers and bundled with decent although not necessarily high-end software -
e.g. audio: protools, garageband, logic express, plus all those noise-reduction apps (transferring rare vynils to cds could be a very useful service, too!)
video: final cut express, adobe premiere, even imovie and idvd, bundled with plenty of plugins and add-ons.
apart from the computers, hardware would also consist of such necessary requisites as a sound desk, mixer, midi keyboards, a record player / turntable, vhs-to-dvd recorder, speakers, camcorders...
what do you reckon?.. did it make any sense?

URGENT: Consuming Portlets in Site Studio Design.

I am quite new to oracle technologies and have to create a full fledged secure B2B web portal (web center application) using various web center technologies like Wiki, Discussions etc and also integrate and manage content through it. The portal is going to have proper left, right, top & bottom navigation sections and access to content would be dependent on user roles and rights. I also have to create various JPDK and WSRP portlets that need to be used in the portal for search, navigation mapping etc. The portal would be obviously deployed on a Oracle Application Server. The main usage of the portal is going to be for collaboration between the various employees of an organization and also to manage their day to day business activities. Moreover, some power user have to be able to create and update content on the fly.
1. My concern is that is is possible to use Site Studio somehow in the development of this kind of a portal?
2. How to consume Portlets in Site Studio (as fragments?) or how to embed portlets in the site studio design?
3. Can I create the complete web layout and content management mechanisms using Site Studio and then integrate Portlets on to it using JDeveloper?
4. Is such an integration possible? If yes what would be the limitations of such an approach? If no, what are the best possible tools for the same?
Please let me know your comments in detail.

URGENT:- HFM 9.3.1 Workspace does not show the Studio changes

Hi All,
I am trying to make changes in a report in Hyperion Reporting Studio. After saving the Report in Studio if ran in the web i.e Hyperion Workspace, then it does not reflect the changes.
This is only occurring for this particular report. Also checked the Database Connection and other connectivity i.e Server Connections, its all fine.
Please suggest me what can be the possible problems which is not reflecting the changes in the Workspace and also the solutions for it.

Although you've created the Spreadsheet & Pinboard, I don't think Pinboard functionality would work unless you've created, associated & assigned limits for a Traffic Light column before configuring the Pinboard.
Most likely, I believe- You might've not set the limits that encompasses all the ranges/colors.

One of my user installed FR studio 9.3.1 on windows 7 and it was successfull.
But whe user is tryin to login to FR studio once entering the credentials below is the error message getting
Couldnot find class:com/hyerion/reporting/util/HyperionReportException
Another message: Access violation.
User was properly assigned to reports groups in SS.
Please provide me any ideas.

I am trying a deploy a j2ee application from SAP netweaver developer studio. It is asking for SAP J2EE engine's message server port. Do you know from where I can find that???

the message server port is given in the profile file for the Central Services instance of the J2EE Engine. Here's the path to this file: \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\profile directory. The file name is formed using the following scheme: <SID>_<Central_instance_name>_<hostname>.
Open it with a text editor and have a look at the value of the rdisp/msserv property (this is the port of the message server you need to use).

URGENT HELP NEEDED Re: 17" Studio Display ADC

Recently, I gave a good friend of mine my old PowerMac G4 500 with DVI/VGA connector. I also bought a 17" Studio Display (ADC) to go with it, but I thought that an ADC to DVI connector would work with the monitor. It doesn't because, as I learned later, the display uses an analogue signal that the adapter cannot translate for the computer. There are suggestions that the G4 500 does not work at all with the 17" Studio Display (ADC) but I don't know whether this is actually true.
So my question is this: are there any adapters on the market that will work with the 17" Studio Display and the PowerMac G4 500?
Been looking everywhere for info, but nothing concrete. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Apple and Dr. Botts DVI to ADC adapters do not provide the RGB analog signals needed for a CRT monitor. The Gefen adapter

In the link, one person was using the Gefen adapter with a CRT, but the power supply was getting VERY hot. Buying the Gefen adapter and a new, bigger, power supply, would be the easiest way to get things to work. The only cable cutting would be moving the cable from the Gefen power supply to the new power supply. That would just be a two wire cable. If you can find the matching plug for the Gefen power supply, you wouldn't have to use the Gefen power cable, but make your own, which is probably better because Gefen might be using wires too small for the extra current.

[Urgent]importing error on Consilidation stage on transport studio

Hi all
object from IR in using CMS was transfered to Production successfully, but when i export configuration object from ID, it was sent to CMS successfully, and i can see it on consolidation tab on transport studio as waiting for import.
when i tried to import it. i got "import failed"
anybody help me?

Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio Functions Ussage Very Urgent....

I have to get all the Accounts data from the Balance Sheet but not the subtotal information. If I select the Descendant function I am getting the subtotals of Current Assets and Current Liabilities. but I dont want that ... I want only the bottom level information in the balance sheet that is account details. Can any one help me in getting this.

You could achieve that using advanced suppression.
1. Select row/column that you would like to suppress
2. On the properties window, select suppression
3. Check 'Advanced Options' and click 'Setup' button
4. Select level under 'Suppress if' (first drop down)
5. Select 'Account' from second drop down
6. Select '>' from third drop down
7. Select '0' from fourth drop down
8. Click 'OK'
9. Save and run report.

I am getting one Error while Creating Enterprise Link Plan in Design Studio of BAM and Failed to Create the Plan.

Setup:
Integration between Oracle EBS 11.5.10 and Oracle BAM 10.1.3.
I am trying to get the Raw Data and sending over to the Enterprise Link Plan.
1. Created bam_ttq AQ and bam_ttq_tab.
2. Configured all of the startup parameters required for Enterprise Message Source Type (Oracle (AS JMS and OJMS)) in the Administrator of BAM.
3. Configured the Oracle (AS JMS and OJMS) with the following values in the Enterprise Message Sources in the Architect of BAM.
Initial Context Factory : com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory.
JNDI Service Provider URL : opmn:ormi://inaportal.inatech.com:6004:home.
TopicConnectionFactory Name : java:comp/resource/BAMTTT/TopicConnectionFactories/bam_ttq_tab.
Topic Name : java:comp/resource/BAMTTT/Topics/bam_ttq.
JMS Message Type : Text Message.
Durable Subscriber Name (Optional) : Bamclient.

Urgent help required - linked subreport keeps asking for parameter value

Greetings,
I have developed a report in the Crystal Reports bundled with Visual Studio 2005. The data is obtained from a stored procedure. One of the fields in the result set is named "Id".
I have embedded a subreport in the details row of the main report. The subreport also gets its information from a stored procedure. This stored procedure has one parameter named "OpportunityId". This field is linked to the field named "Id" above. the subreport has been set to supress blank subreports.
In the development environment and running the executable of the application on the development machine the report works perfectly. The subreport displays as it should and all is well.
When I deploy the report onto user machines where they have the crystal runtime installed, the report keeps asking for a parameter value for the subreport.
I cannot get this to stop happening.
This report is urgently required. PLEASE could someone help me out here.
I am at my wits end.

- the rpt file
- a sample report
- a screen showing the report having just been generated

Having a problem with audio in DVD Studio Pro with the finished copy

I am making a DVD of a clip I had transferred from a mini DV. All the audio was present when I transferred it. I had then turned it into an MPEG movie format (.mpg). When I play that clip there is audio. Then I compressed the file on Compressor. I selected the file format by choosing Apple > DVD > DVD: Best Quality 90 minutes > MPEG-2 6.2Mbps 2-pass (the clip was about an hour and 20min long) and compressed the clip. I then opened DVD studio pro, made a menu, and then added this new file (MPEG-2 6.2Mbps 2-pass). I burned the DVD and put it into my DVD player. The picture was great and everything worked fine except there was no audio. How do I get audio into this DVD? I have tried compressing my .mpg file into the Dolby Digital Professional 2.0 option that is under DVD: Best Quality 90 minutes, but when I try importing that into DVD studio pro it a message pops up saying "Incompatible format." It might also help mentioning that when I saw the file size on the Dolby Digital Professional 2.0 after compressing it, it said Zero kb. How would I get audio onto this DVD? I would really appreciate your help, I tried to be as detailed as I could. This DVD is for a family member and is urgent, so anyone who can help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you so much.

If you don't want to go back and recapture the tape you need to understand that MPG files need to be "DeMuxed" to extract the audio. My recommendation would be to use the free MPEG Streamclip and then select your MPG to be Demuxed into an AIFF file. That AIFF file will then need to be converted to an AC3 file, similar to what you did with the video.
