Hi ,
I am facing some problem when i am doing a simple file to CSV .the file is picked up from source directory,but i am not getting it back in the target directory.I think the problem is with the Content Conversion parameter and the receiver communication channel.Can any one tell me the FCC parameter in the receiver CC.
Thanks.

can any help me defining the Datatype for this structure and FCC parameters
Thanks
SaiHi,
In Sender CC, use content conversion and especially these options:
¤ RecordSet Structure = Header , 1 , Data1 , * , Data2 , * , Footer , 1
¤ Key Field Name = MyKey
¤ Namea.keyFieldValue, to distinguish your different structures (records).
for instance, like that:
Header.keyFieldValue = HDR
Header.fieldName = MyKey , xxxxx, yyyy
Data1.keyFieldValue = INV
Data1.fieldName = MyKey , xxxxx, yyyy
Data2.keyFieldValue = TOT
Data2.fieldName = MyKey , xxxxx, yyyy
Footer.keyFieldValue = TLR
Footer.fieldName = MyKey , xxxxx, yyyy
Otherwise, in SDN with term "recordset" you will find some blogs...
Regards.

i need to go for fieldFixedLengths?

Sai_SHAHi.
if you need to convert an EDI to XML you need to use an Adapter specific (e.g Seeburger) because PI doesn't support EDI files.
Also if you use a FCC , this configuration is for two level Header and Detail.
Check this.

FCC parameters for header and item
Dear All,
I am working on a File to RFC scenario. The file has the PO deatils from which Salesorder has to be created in R/3. Am using the BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT1 to create salesorders. I have tested the scenario with XML message - it is working file .
The problem is with FCC.
The structure of the file is as follows
PO number,podate,deliv. date,cust. material,quantity,receiving point
message type:
-->MT_messagetype
>input
>header
po number
po date
deliv date
>item
>item
cust_material
quantity
receiving point
>partner
>partner
dummy field.
input is the recordset
i have to get the first 3 fields from the file inlto header and the rest into item.
i have created a dummy field in partner because I am mapping a constant value to sold to party in partner node .
what should be the FCC parameters ?After looking at your structure which is comma separated and doesn't have any keyfields it will be difficult to content convert it into different nodes like header and item.
I was looking at using fixed field lenght's along with field separator to split the structure, as the first 4-5 fields of u r row seem to be standard structures which will have fixed length, but then your last field "receiving point" is not a of fixed length.
so as long as my understanding goes you will have to content convert the input into a flat xml structure like this:
<input>
<header>
</po number>
</po date>
</deliv date>
</cust_material>
</quantity>
</receiving point>
</header>
<input>
Recordset name - input
Recordset structure --header,*
FCC
header.fieldNames -- po_number,1,po_date,1,deliv_date,1,cust_material,1,quantity,1,receivingpoint,1
header.fieldSeparator -- ','
header.endSeparator -- 'nl'
Since in your scenario looks like you are creating one sales order per row of file, the above structure should do the job for you.

FCC help for File receiver please
Hi all,
My issue was not resolved and so posting a fresh question which is much straight forward to ask.
Source is xml. (SOAP)
Target is csv file.
Source structure:
WS_Response ( 1 to 1)
Result ( 1 to 1)
Message ( 1 to 1)
Header ( 1 to Unbounded)
headerField1
headerField2
headerField3
Item_Line ( 0 to 1)
Invoices ( 0 to Unbounded)
invoiceFiled1
invoiceFiled2
invoiceFiled3
My target cvs file should be: (for example)
headerField1 headerField2 headerField3
invoiceFiled1 invoiceFiled2 invoiceFiled3
invoiceFiled1 invoiceFiled2 invoiceFiled3 (repeat)
headerField1 headerField2 headerField3 (repeat)
invoiceFiled1 invoiceFiled2 invoiceFiled3
invoiceFiled1 invoiceFiled2 invoiceFiled3
But I am getting:
headerField1 headerField2 headerField3 invoiceFiled1 invoiceFiled2 invoiceFiled3
invoiceFiled1 invoiceFiled2 invoiceFiled3 (repeat)
headerField1 headerField2 headerField3 invoiceFiled1 invoiceFiled2 invoiceFiled3
invoiceFiled1 invoiceFiled2 invoiceFiled3
My FCC is as follows:
Recordset Structure: Header,Invoices
Header.endSeparator : 'nl'
Header.fieldSeparator : ,
Invoices.endSeparator : 'nl'
Invoices.fieldSeparator : ,
I tried using addHeaderLine, filedNames, beginSeparator etc but did not achieve what I am looking for.
Can you guys help?
Many thanks.Ok, I got it working myself.
I have used L, as begin separator and removed the "key" field from the structure. I have also inserted an extra node just before the line items and it works as expected. Phew..! -
Parameters used for file input
Hi,
PARAMETERS : P_FNAME LIKE RLGRAP-FILENAME OBLIGATORY
PARAMETERS : P_FNAME LIKE IBIPPARMS-PATH OBLIGATORY
PARAMETERS : P_HFILE LIKE FILENAME-FILEINTERN OBLIGATORY
PARAMETERS : P_NAME TYPE APQI-GROUPID.
The above are the various ways of decalring the parameters for file input... can u tell me what is the difference between them & the situations or condition when, which one has to be used ??
Regards,
- Hello SAPHi,
I am assuming you are using the parameters to upload/download a file.
Here is what they will do for you. Let us see the following file name parameter.
<i>PARAMETERS : P_FNAME LIKE RLGRAP-FILENAME OBLIGATORY</i>
Defining the parameter this way will help you in using the obsolete function modules of WS_DOWNLOAD, WS_UPLOAD as their interface requires the filename to be defined this way. But the new replacement for them GUI_DOWNLOAD and GUI_DOWNLOAD defined the filename as a string. Also F4 function modules used for browsing through desktop directories for a file like KD_GET_FILENAME_ON_F4 also use the parameter of this type.
So, if you are using a function module like the ones above, then you are better of with this parameter.
Let us see this definition.
<i>PARAMETERS : P_FNAME LIKE IBIPPARMS-PATH OBLIGATORY</i>
This is no different from the one above, so it makes no difference.
Next.
<i>PARAMETERS : P_HFILE LIKE FILENAME-FILEINTERN OBLIGATORY</i>
This is typically used for a logical file name, not a physical filename and path. What a logical filename does is that it allows you to define logically define filenames and use them in your programs at the same time giving you(or your network team) the flexibility to change the directory structure. When they change the directory structure, all you have to do is to change your logical path definition, rather than changing every single program that uses the path. FILE is the tcode for this area. Length of this is just 60 and so it may not be sufficient for the filename and path. But if you are using it as a logical file name, then it is useful when using function modules like FILE_GET_NAME which will read in a logical file name and give you the string containing the physical path and file name.
Now the last one.
<i>PARAMETERS : P_NAME TYPE APQI-GROUPID.</i>
This is not at relevant for files. This is used in batch input and this is the name of the batch input session. It is 12 characters long.
Hope this helps, if not please let us know.

b) The Date in the header needs to be passed onto ECC as a parameter so in my XML structure in the data type do i include that as a field in the mapping ..Can any one please guide me to create the Data type structure for the above file ?
c) DO I NEED A MAPPING FOR THIS ?? THERE ARE NO CONVERSIONS required ? what are the IR and ID steps required
if it is a FILE to Proxy scenario with no mappings

FCC Configuration for Multilevel Hierarchy
Hello Everyone,
I have a problem with FCC in sender side.
I have a multilevel nested structure shown below:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns0:MT_XX__OB xmlns:ns0="http://xx.com">
<Record1>
<X/>
<Record2>
<A/>
<B/>
<C/>
<D/>
<E/>
</Record2>
</Record1>
</ns0:MT_XX_OB>
However I couldn't implement Record2 with FCC.Because,Lower subelement Record2 and Its elemnts weren't determined with FCC(with .fixedLenght).Furthermore,Data doesn't include keyfields.So,I couldn't use .keyfield.Can you help me please about this problem?
Thnx..Hello Hareen,
Thanks your reply.
But,I need a solution in fcc side when retrieving data from text for multivel structure.Is it possible or not?I need fcc parameters for creating multilevel structure.

Hi all,
My source xml is:
node1_mt
<node2>
<node3> 0 to u
field1
field2
field3
<node4> 0 to u
fielda
fieldb
fieldc
</node4>
</node3>
fieldaa
fieldbb
My target file should be: (csv)
field1 field2 field3
fielda fieldb fieldc
fielda fieldb fieldc
fielda fieldb fieldc
How should I have my FCC parameters please?
Many thanks.
Ramesh.ok, now got a bit further.
I am just using:
Recordset structure: header,item
header.addHeaderLine = 1
header.fieldSeparator = ,
header.endSeparator = 'nl'
item.fieldSeparator = ,
item.endSeparator = 'nl'
This is creating the output file as: (for multiple items)
field1 field2 field3 fielda fieldb fieldc
fielda fieldb fieldc
fielda fieldb fieldc
Now my only question is how can I take the first item line and put it in a separate line instead of the header? like...
field1 field2 field3
fielda fieldb fieldc
fielda fieldb fieldc
fielda fieldb fieldc
Many thanks. -
Required Changes in FCC Paramenters for Sender File Adapter.
Hi
I am Doing File-File Scenario.I am using FCC in the Sender File Adapter. I have defined the structure as below.
My Source Structure
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns0:MT_Source xmlns:ns0="http://city.net/filecopy">
<Message>
<Id>123</Id>
<Head>
<Id>123</Id>
<Filename>test.xml</Filename>
</Head>
<Body>Helloworld</Body>
</Message>
</ns0:MT_Source_FILE>
So for the above structure, I have defined the FCC Parameters as
Document Name: MT_Source (Message Type)
Document Namespace:http://city.net/filecopy(Namespace)
Recordset Name: Message (root node)
Recordset Structure: Message,1,Head,1
Recordset Sequence: Ascending
Recordsets per message:1
Keyfield Type: string
In the Table Rows I have defined
Message.fieldFixedLengths: 3,10
Message.fieldNames: Id, Body
Message.fieldSeparator: ,
Message.endSeparator: 'nl'
Head.fieldFixedLengths: 3,8
Head.fieldSeparator: ,
Head.endSeparator: 'nl'
Head.fieldNames: Id, Filename.
My Input Text file
123,Helloworld
123,text.xml
I am Getting Output as
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
- <ns:MT_Source xmlns:ns="http://city.net/filecopy">
- <Message>
- <Message>
<Id>123</Id>
<Body>HelloWorld</Body>
</Message>
- <Head>
<Id>123</Id>
<Filename>test.xml</Filename>
</Head>
</Message>
</ns:MT_Source>
I should get Body field after Head Structure as in the Source Structure, So Please what changes do I need to do in the Parameters Specified above to get the desired Output.
So How should I define the FCC Paramenters For Sender File Adapter ?
Any Help Would be Appreciated.
Regards,
VarunHi Everyone,
I could Succeed to some extent.
I have defined the parameters as follows
Recordset Structure: Message,*,Head,1
Key Field Name: KZ
Key Field Type: integer
In the table, I defined the Parameters as
Message.fieldFixedLengths:1,3
Message.fieldNames:KZ,Id
Message.keyFieldValue:1
Message.keyFieldInStructure:ignore
Message.fieldSeparator:,
Message.endSeparator:'nl'
Head.fieldFixedLengths:1,3,8
Head.fieldNames:KZ,Id,filename
Head.keyFieldValue:2
Head.keyFieldInStructure:ignore
Head.fieldSeparator:,
Head.endSeparator:'nl'
Message.fieldFixedLengths:1,11
Message.fieldNames:KZ,Body
Message.keyFieldValue:3
Message.keyFieldInStructure:ignore
Message.fieldSeparator:,
Message.endSeparator:'nl'
My source text file
1,123
2,123,test.xml
3,Hello World
my output is
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
- <ns:MT_Source xmlns:ns="http://city.net/FileCopy">
- <Message>
- <Message>
<Id>123</Id>
</Message>
- <Head>
<Id>123</Id>
<Filename>test.xml</Filename>
</Head>
</Message>
</ns:MT_Source>
I got the output almost correct except I am not getting the value in the Body
Any help would be appreciated.
Please correct me If I am wrong.

Provide as below definitely it will work,
RecordSet Structure : batch,Line_Item,LineItem_String
batch.fieldSeparator --- 'nl'
Line_Item.fieldSeparator -
'nl'
LineItem_String.fieldSeparator --- 'nl'
All your fields will come in a separate line.

AND SECONDCONN < <cfqueryparam value="#dateAdd('d', 1,form.enddate)#" cfsqltype="cf_sql_varchar">;

<cfchart format="flash" chartwidth="1000" chartheight="500" scalefrom="0" scaleto="50000" xAxisTitle="Dates" yaxistitle="Number of Connections">

<cfchartseries query="detail2" type="line" itemColumn="SECONDCONN" valueColumn="SECONDOccurances" >
</cfchartseries>
</cfchart>
The cfform code I'm using is as follows:
<cfform format="flash" preloader ="false">
<cfformgroup type="horizontal">
<cfinput type="dateField" name="startdate" label="Start Date" width="100" value="#form.startdate#">
<cfinput type="dateField" name="enddate" label="End Date" width="100" value="#form.enddate#">
<cfinput name="submitApply" type="submit" value = "Apply">
<cfinput name="cancel" type="submit" value="Download CSV">
</cfformgroup>
Desired Output:
I have attached the image for the output below. Please find it attached.
Basically, if a date range is 21June to 21 July. The output must be as shown in the image. (I have omitted THIRDCONN etc for the sake of simplicity in my code).
Please let me know how should I go about this problem and let me know if I can answer more questions.It's not built into the language. Your best bet is probably to put the CSV-Reading logic into its own class.
Or find one of the thousands of classes that already implement such a thing. -
Parameters for opening PDF files in a browser
I read some of the posts about making a text link from an html page to a specific location in a pdf document in the browser. I set up the parameters, as I understand it, according to the document "Parameters for Opening PDF Files." The result from my test took me to the top of page 1, not to the bookmark on page 3 that I specified. See the link below. What is wrong with the parameters?

You can also go to the website: http://www.tabardtheatre.org/audition.html and click on the text link (in blue).The PDF Open Parameters do not contain the option to link directly to a bookmark, as was mentioned, but I've developed a script that can add this functionality to your files. Have a look here, if you're interested: http://try67.blogspot.com/2011/06/acrobat-link-to-specific-bookmark-in.html

I have lost all my contacts. Can't restore from Gmail.
So, I recently got an iPhone. I transferred contacts from my android phone using a CardDav. A while later I downloaded Cleandupes, an app to get rid of those pesky duplicates. It trimmed my contacts from 1600 to 600 contacts. Great! I deleted the app
