FCE emergency - corrupt sequence not opening

I've spent all day on a sequence. I then imported a project from iMovie, which was simply exported at 'Full Quality', but there were audio issues (audio fades not recognised).
I tried importing the iMovie session and got a series of folders, with files in referring to the film. I tried to drag a file from one of these folders to the FCE timeline - this seems to have corrupted the sequence. The sequence will no longer load properly, giving me a 'general error' (a bit like George Bush's 'general threats') and then adding an 'out of memory' warning.
What on earth has happened to my sequence?
If anyone can come to the rescue, I'd be really appreciative.

Nope - there is NO connection or continuity between iMovie and FCE.
They are two different programs working in entirely different ways.
The fact that it is (just) possible to swop files between them is merely a bonus and should not be done as a regular procedure.

There in the same location in v1. If you haven't the application there won't be any preferences files.
You should update to 1.0.1.

Sequence not Opening: File not found and Out of Memory Error Message

Hello
Attempting to open sequence in FC gives me the error: File not found.
Clicking on okay in the message gives another error: Out of Memory.
Final Cut Pro version is 6.02
Anybody have a solution on how to get this sequence working again?

Project itself opens fine.
Can a sequence file with in a project become corrupted?
Luckily, I always make duplicate of the sequence I'm working on at the start of the day. And I save often when I'm working.
The earlier duplicated version of the sequence works, so not everything is lost.
Unfortunately the auto save was disabled in my profile, back on it goes.
I was wondering if this has happened to anyone before and that if there is a fix - if it is not a corrupted file?

Newly installed FCE 3.5 will not open

I just installed FCE 3.5 on my iMac G5 computer. When I attempt to open FCE, it looks as it is loading and then automatically closes. I can open Soundtrack and LiveType. Please help!

The first panel of Disk Utility. Do you have any other software like audio software that talks to the system? If it's not that you should call Apple. There may have been a problem with the installer.

FCP 6 Sequence not opening, "out of memory"

Hi,
I'm running FCP 6.0.6 on a 2010 Macbook Pro with 8gb ram, 500gb int hd and 1tb ext hd. OS is 10.6.8. I don't see the canvas or timeline when I start FCP and when I click on sequence I get "error-out of memory". I have deleted all projects and everything I could find from old work. I used a ram checking program and checked disk permissions all seemed ok. Any ideas?

If the program was working fine, and now isn't, or just isn't working the way it should, the first things to do are:
1) Trash your FCP preferences. Download the Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion: http://www.digitalrebellion.com
2) Open the Disk Utility and Repair Permissions.
3) Shut down for 10 min. Go for a quick walk around the block and get SOME exercise today. Come back, turn on the computer and see how things are.
4) (optional) Do the Hokey Pokey and turn your self about. Results may vary.

I have an FCP version 4.1- cannot open project sequence, after selecting the sequence, Timeline and Canvas windows will disappear.

Fireworks CS6 not opening files

Hi,
I installed the trial version of CS6 (Mountain Lion) the other day and created some files, the same files opened for me on another computer using CS5 (Mountain Lion) whilst I was waiting for the full version to get installed onto my Mac.
For some reason now the files are either corrupt or not opening (Could not complete your request, an error has occurred or unknown file type).
The only difference between the two installations of CS6 is that I only downloaded the trial version of individual products and now I've installed the whole master suite.
Please help!!

I am able to open files again after restarting Fireworks (Fireworks CS6 on OSX Mountain Lion). Pretty scary bug though, I really don't like the feeling of not being able to open any of my source files--files that have multiple pages worth of work that I would never be able to retrieve with another program.
Where is Adobe in this discussion?? Is Fireworks going to be made more stable?
How I feel about Fireworks right now is not great. I look really unprofessional when people ask me for something and my response is... "Sorry, my files seem to be corrupt let me just take 30 minutes to figure out what's wrong"

Automate To Sequence - "Placement" box do not open "unnumbered markers" option

Hi all,
I tried to place photos in a Sequence automatically by pressing
the Automate To Sequence button .
I want to place the photos at the unnumbered sequence markers that I had already marked .
the problem is that the "Placement" box do not open this option.
It opens only the "Sequentially" option.
I have used this feature before in PPRO 2.0 and it was OK then.

Here's a suggestion from a user named Jusko that worked for me:
Delete the pref file --- C:\Users\user id\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\3.0\Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs
then, the "At Unnumbered Markers" option will appear again.
On my PC the file path is:
C:\Documents and Settings\Sid\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Pro\3.0\Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs
Meanwhile, in case I run into this again, I've copied my latest good config file so I can fall back on it after deleting the corrupted one.
Something else that works is to log in as a different user. Either way, you will need to update your preferences (path to scratch files, etc.)

Interesting. This sort of thing is more common on Windows systems. Taken at face value, one of the iTunes program files (one of the Japanese language resources) is damaged.
I'd try running your Disk Utility over your startup disk. Does it find/repair any damage? If so can you empty your trash and reinstall your iTunes successfully now?

I downloaded firefox 3.6.9 but it will not open, says it's corrupted.

Pretty simple, little icon kept popping up urging me to download the newest version of firefox, I tried twice with the same result. It seems to download just fine, but when I go to run the program it says it's corrupted and won't allow me to continue. Never had an issue upgrading before, so I really don't have any idea why it's not allowing it now.
And please dumb down any responses, I'm not technologically inclined!
