"FCE etc. would like to accept incoming communications" messages since OS X 10.6.8

Since updating to OS X 10.6.8 I occasionally get messages asking if the app I am just opening can have permission to accept incoming messages. (This is nothing to do with Little Snitch).
The message says that it will help the app perform better . . . . I can't remember the exact wording.
Has anyone got any information on this phenomenon?
I inadvertently clicked OK this morning and would like to know how to get rid of that permission.

I have just received another one and had the presence of mind to take a screenshot!
Apparently I can turn off any granted permissions in Advanced section of the Security Pane, which I have done.
So that bit is solved but I still don't know why these messages seem to have just started in the last few weeks.
The only thing I can think of is that I updated to 10.6.7 and then 10.6.8.

Well, it's probably below the table... Sounds like you didn't consider the system requirements and installed on a system with too small screen resolution. If so, only using a larger res may possibly revela the magic button...

The iPhone stores text messages in conversation format for starters.

You may use U.C.ME-OPC to send text messages to any cell phone. You may use a cellular modem that is connects to a serial COM port. In addition you may send an email that will be received as an SMS or eamil. If you use a cellular modem you may also send commands (for example: change or query values) from your cell phone to Lookout through U.C.ME-OPC.
U.C.ME-OPC connects to Lookout using OPC or DDE.

I think you need to do a crash course in JSP/Servlets, by the sounds of things you're about to embark on a whole heap of frustration if you use applets for this. Step one in any project, get the right tool for the right job

Sign in to iMessage on your iPhone, your other iOS devices, and your Mac using the same Apple ID.

I would like to reset my time capsule since there are old files which I don't need any more. How should I do it?

This will make it fresh-from-the-factory clean.
If the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule isn't accessible from AirPort Utility, the Factory Default reset can be accomplished by using the reset button.
1. Unplug the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule from power.
2. Press and hold the reset button with a pen or pencil, then plug the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule back in while continuing to hold the button until you see the light (LED) flash rapidly. This should happen after a few seconds.
3. Release the button. This will factory default reset the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule.

I'm not sure if that affects files on AirDisk, but you can easily erase the disk in AirPort Utility after you do the above reset.

Would like to change my security questions since i don't know the answers

i recently added a new gmail address, changed ITunes e-mail to new one, made a new password. have been getting prompts via the old address, but it will not accept the old password associated with that e-mail. can't get in. can't figure out how to explain this to ITunes. i think i have made progress, but when making changes on my account details, saw that the security questions do not instantly call up answers i know. want to change my security questions. HOW?

Would like to remove pop-up message stating when remote content has been blocked.

The message appears as: "To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked remote content on this page [Options] X". It can be closed but comes up every time I open an E-mail. I don't want to stop disabling remote content, but I do want to stop this message appearing as it makes the little screen space I have for reading E-mails even smaller.

You could opt to read emails in 'Simple HTML' or 'Plain Text'.

Have you tried resetting the option of the iPhone so it causes a New code number to appear on the Mac ?
Repeat the setting if you don't see a code number straight away.

I have established a secure connection between the AS ABAP and AS Java.
I would like assure that all communication between the servers is using https and for that, as a test, I have deactivated the http service using SMICM transaction.
The only side effect I could recognize so far is that the Web Dynpro for ABAP stuff doesn't work through transaction SE80, the working area simply doesn't come up. If I activate HTTP again it is working.
Am I doing the right thing by disabling HTTP completely and if yes, what else do I need to do in order to prevent this side effect from happening?
