FCE HD 3.5 upgrade won't install...

Hello,
I own FCE HD for more than a year. Since a few months I run it on my new iMacTel.
I just bought the upgrade of FCE HD 3.5 today.
When lauching the installer, the serial numbre is asked.
I look in and on the box I received with the upgrade and didn't find any.
So, I tried with the serial number of my "old" FCE HD.
Both won't work and the software won't be installed!!!!
I keep receiving a message saying that the serial number is incorrect!
I am doing something wrog?
Both softwares (FCE HD & the upgrade) are original versions (not a copy).
I bought FCE HD in France & the upgrade for FCE HD3,5 in Belgium.
Is there a link?

If the serial number is not included in the package with the upgrade you should contact Apple or your reseller.

    I have a Power Mac G5, with a 2 GKz PowerPC 970 CPU with plenty of space on the hard drive (over 80 GB). I have Final Cut 5.0.1 from Final Cut Studio, and I am trying to upgrade to 5.0.4.     I imagine the Serial Number I entered was valid, because the website had to accept it in order to let me download the upgrade in the first place.
    Ugg. I was hoping to avoid reinstalling. I just went through that with the hinky Quicktime 7.0.4 upgrade that scambled my operating system. I had to go back and reinstall that, which of course, forced me to reinstall all of Final Cut Studio.
    But thanks for the suggestion. Any others that don't involve reinstalling 2 versions of Final Cut (hope, hope)?

    Upgraded to Yosemite, reinstalled legit CS5 InDesign successfully, need to download the upgrade to 5.5 for essential "shared content" plug in... the update won't install "update is not applicable" error w no serial code request, just doesn't install. Indesign 5.0 was working fine, i just need a couple extensions

    but you can't upgrade to cs5.5.
    you can upgrade to cs6 or cc (for money).

    Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.55 upgrade does not install on my windows XP computer.  Is the 2.33Ghz requirement is a deal breaker? (my  computer has a 2.0ghz AMD athlon x2 dual core processor)  If so, can I reinstall the older version that I removed based on help instructions?

  • ITunes 8.1.1 upgrade won't install

    Okay I just downloaded iTunes 8.1.1 on my Windows PC and it won't install the update.
    Here's what happens I go through the steps of installing the update -- the welcome screen provides info on what iTunes helps you do (work with iPod, iPhone, Apple TV etc and burning and importing audio CDs, plus buying songs from iTunes and video) then asks you to press next, next screen asks if you accept license agreement, select yes and click next. Next screen asks what language you want iTunes installed in (English US) and what location for me its C/Program Files/iTunes
    Then press next and on the next screen it will install -- next screen shows up and then jumps directly to the iTunes has installed screen without doing so.
    "Says iTunes Installer Completed"
    "The installer encounted errors before iTunes could be configured.
    Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time please return to the installer again. Click Finish to exit installer."
    I have tried using both Apple Software Update which tells me iTunes + QuickTime could not be verified when the installation error occurs and the manual installation by downloading the file and launching it. Any ideas on
    what's causing this?

    Got it... It was the apple updater. Once I used the Windows Installer tool, everything installed properly and I'm back...

  • Encore 2 upgrade won't install ???

    I have encore 1.5 installed and purchsed the V2 upgrade but after going through the first couple of pages re language the 'windows installer is preparing to install' window comes up and goes away and then the installation process seems to stop.
    Any ideas what the problem might be?
    I'll be out of the studio for a few days this week but appreciate any suggestions.

    Edit: I just tried un-installing version 1.5 first and that didn't make any difference but 1.5 will re install instantly without problem.

    Problem solved after talking to tech support (thanks JB)....for anyone else who has the problem....open the install DVD, copy the Encore folder to your desktop and then double click the setup exe file....all should be fine.

When I go try to install it tells me its missing a file and not enough memory to do it and need to make room. I have enough room for this software and i download everything.     I have a new PC and have redownloaded the CS5 product upgrade.  After it extracts, it stops and does not perform an install.
    Why is this happening and how can I install CS5?

    Once you extract the content, go into the extracted folder and locate the setup.exe file , double click on it to start the installation.

  • CS 6 Design Premium Upgrade won't install.

    The dmg file ran the installation process, which stopped with a message that it can't find a qualifying product on my computer, asking for the serial number of a qualifying product. I am the legal, registered owner of CS 5.5 Design Premium which is installed in Applications on my startup drive. The install program will not accept my CS 5.5 registration number, which I got from MyAdobe.
    I have already lost much valuable time with this upgrade (the Akamai procedure just plain doesn't work). PLEASE get back to me with a solution quickly.

  • Captivate 3 Upgrade Won't Install

    We have been using Captivate 2 since April at our hospital
    for information systems training. We were very excited to learn of
    Captivate 3, and were able to persuade our administration to
    purchase two upgrades and one full install as soon as it was
    released. The full install version installed perfectly to the PC
    for which it was intended, which did
    not have Captivate 2 on it. However, on my PC and my
    co-worker's that had the previous Captivate 2 installs (side note -
    , the installation proceeds all the way until the end, with a
    Captivate 3 directory in C:\Program Files\Adobe with all of the
    correct files...and then just when it should be completing, it
    stops, and states that it is "Rolling Back" the action, and ends
    with a box stating that "installation was interrupted before it
    could be completed". We have uninstalled our full versions of
    Captivate 2, rebooted, and it does the same thing even after that.
    Is there anything in the registry that I need to alter? We have a
    series of classes starting on September 5th that we really wanted
    to roll out presentations for. Thanks for any help!!!

    forums to help. I'd stress that you contact Adobe support and
    advise of your situation. I'm thinking this would not fall into any
    category of a chargeable support item and it should be a pretty
    high priority. But I'm a simple user same as you. I'm not speaking
    for Adobe.

  • LP9 Upgrade won't install-- rejects XSKey

    I'm trying to ugrade from LP7 to LP9, but am getting the following error message during the install:
    "+Your Logic XSKey is not eligible for this upgrade. Please refer to the upgrade requirements for details.+"
    My copy of LP7 is not the Academic and Not-For-Resale (NFR) versions. I am trying to install LP9 on my macbook which does not currently have any version of Logic on it. I have been told, however, that this is not an issue and that LP9 will install on the machine.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I was also told by apple's pro application support this morning that one can't install LP9 upgrade discs on a mac that has a previously upgraded copy of Logic on it and that people had to enter the original serial number for the very first version of Logic they bought. Obviously this can't be right so I have no idea what to make of any of this.

  • Lightroom 5 upgrade won't install on PC with Windows Vista

    I seemed to download the Lightroom 5 upgrade just fine to my PC.  But nothing happens when I double-click the application in my downloads folder.  And there's no LR5 icon on my desktop.  Is there a trick to it?

    Perhaps it's not supposed to because I'm reading in the forums about how bad it is. It hangs at 15.60 MB, which is about half way through the install. Anyone have a solution?

    Boot with the machine, clear out the Previous Systems folder, delete them, and you should have enough space to do an A&I. No bootable backup/clone of your previously good boot volume? Tsk, tsk.
