FCE HD 3.x can't find AGP on MacBook Pro

hi,
My Fianl Cut Express HD 3.0X won't launch on my MacBook Pro.
It reports a Configuration Error.
This software requires a certain hardware or software that is missing.
*AGP graphics card
Why does FCE think it is running on a PowerMac? How do I fix this? It's annoying!

The BAD NEWS is that FCE 3.0 is totally unsuited to Intel Macs.
The GOOD NEWS is that if you press the "Esc" key every time you get the error message FCE should load normally.
However, you will probably find that FCE is slower than it should be.
You need to upgrade to FCE 3.5 which is designed for Intel (and Power) Macs.

want to design a website but cannot find iweb. looked on apple website which took me to app store and ilife. i have imovie, iphoto and garageband so i assume this is the full package but I cant find iweb icon :-( what am I doing wrong. typed iweb in finder but not found.

iWeb had been discontinued. While you could still find it on retail iLife discs, there's little point in starting a new project using something that is no longer being developed. What is your skill level at web design? If you want something similar to iWeb, that does not require a high degree of expertise, you could try RapidWeaver.

Where can I find a "dummy" macbook pro

I work for a company who is looking to create some accessories for Macbook Pro 15" with retina display and 13" with retina display. I am looking to obtain either a "gutless" or "dummy" laptop to be able to send to Asia for sampling, etc. Or a broken version.

I bought an original CRT iMac two day's before they were launched, which got the reseller into trouble, and had it replaced by APPLE.
This was a great learning process for me dealing with the glitches. :-)
I LOVE MAC. Now own 4 and on my 10th. in 15 years + 7 bought for family.

Sure can.
With a document open in Pages, select to print so that you can see the print dialog as shown below.
Note that to see this view, you may need to press the Show Details button in the bottom left corner. In the image above, since I have the expanded view displayed, this button changes to Hide Details
So with the view shown, first change the Presets menu to Default Settings. Then click the Layout drop menu and select Quality & Media. Make the changes you want and then click on the Presets menu and select Save Current Settings as Preset...
At the next window, give the Preset a name and select the Only this Printer radio button and then click OK to save it. That's it.
As for the Preset that you already have, if you no longer want this preset then you can delete it via the Show Presets menu pane that you've used already.

Barry, the other stolen computer, my IMac does not show me a locked on such and such date, but simply says offline. I set that computer to erase when it goes online and notify me when it is found, and to play a tone and play a message that the police are on their way!

How can I connect an old macbook pro with that does NOT have a Thunderbolt connection to a new 27 inch iMac? I only need to do this for one specific purpose, to be able to see the work I'm doing on the laptop in InDesign on the iMac's larger screen (at a larger size as it were, so I can see a double page spread (or even a whole page would be an improvement) in one go)? I gather it might be possible to get an adaptor but note that Apple don't seem to sell one. Im pretty sure you are talking about the M8536 which has an ADC Adapter.
you will have to daisy chain a thunderbolt to DVI adapter with an DVI to ADC Adapter.

Sorry, please disregard this. My roommate rebooted the router while I had stepped outside and now it's all running again.

MacMini doesn't show up in Finder.app on MacBook Pro

I'm using a MacMini (2012) as a headless Server.
After upgrading the MacMini to Yosemite (10.10.2), the MacMini doesn't show up in Finder on my Macbook Pro. I'm using this for Screensharing.
Its very strange, because if the Mini sleeps, it shows up in Finder. Then I click the icon, the Mini wakes up. But then the MacMini Icon disappears. :-(
After reboot the Mini it works as expected until the Mini goes to sleep.
I think its a general problem, because all Bonjour using services (like iStat Server) doesn't work properly. All services doesn't show up automatically.
Direct connect via manual tipping in the IP in the Screensharing.app works without problems.
What I've done:
- Resetting all Network settings, by deleting the /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration folder.
- The discoveryd service is NOT blocked in the Firewall settings.
- restarting all Router and the Airport Express

a dongle is already pluged in.
Its not a general problem with the Screensharing tool. Screensharing is working with dirket IP.
The problem is more the Bonjour discovery to other devices.
