FCE HD plug-ins available?

Does anyone know of video effects/filter plug-ins that work with FCE HD?
Specifically, I am looking for effects that were supported in Slicks plug-in's for iMovie as well as some of the native iMovie Video effects (eletricity, flash, fog, rain, etc.)

There are a number of companies out there that make plugins - just do a Google search for them.
In the meantime how does a hundred FREE effects, transitions and generators sound?

Though it says FCPro they all work with FCE. Each site has at least one free plugin amongst numerous commercial ones and some sites have ten or more.

Any Acrobat Reader 'free' / low cost plug-ins available?

Dear All,
I posted a week or so ago regarding using VB and Acrobat Reader. What I want to do is open a pdf in VB, navigate through the pdf then save the current page no. in VB. A sort of index builder.
I realise from the excellent comments / help I received that since this is aimed at Acrobat Reader the only way forward is a plug-in. Thus I thought I would investigate this route. I've been stopped in my tracks rather quickly after looking at the plug-in licence rates.
So, my question - Do 'general functionality' low cost plug-ins exist for Adobe Reader to help me solve my project?

What I'm trying to achieve is this;
Allow the user to load any pdf file they wish, browse the pdf and when they find they relevant section (defined by pdf page no.) allow them to 'index' this by storing the documents path/name and current page no. via VB. Its a sort of index but controlled by a VB program.
It appears I can do it with a plug-in but the project is only very small and does not have a budget to buy the plug-in yearly licence. The other way around this is to do it via VB and use a VB compliant pdf library, I was hoping to just use the functionality in the Acrobat Reader but it appears to have little in the way of what I need. It can load/browse the pdf but seems to have no acessible function to extract the page no. the user is current looking at.
Any thoughts are much appreciated.

New Aperture Plug-Ins Available

I saw an announcement about Human Software's Edit for Aperture 2.1 consisting of 12 modules. Any recommendations or experience with this product? Believe they already provide similar if not identical plug-ins for Photoshop. It sounds like a lot of capability.

Most cost effective yet creative plug ins available?

Hello,
What are the most cost effective, creative/innovative and practical set of Final Cut and Motion plugin on the market? Core melt V2? Boris Continuum Complete? Genarts Sapphire? Other? Right now on Digital Juice, they are offering 50% off of Core Melt V2 at $199, but some say the video output quality with the plugins does not match up to some of the other plugins companies. What sort of advice could you offer about this topic?

Invest as much time as you can in every application you purchase because you know what you want to produce and you know that the application that you've purchased can produce your desire and that is why you purchased it. Here's an example of using limited resources to produce desired results:
I worked in an office that only had an iMac and Final Cut Express where I edited stock videos using stock images. We're talking limited resources to the max. You would be surprised of the outstanding outcome of production using these limited resources. I needed an image editing app so I downloaded GIMP - saved the production department thousands of dollars in investing in similar applications. I so very much wish that I could of brought my nice, new, shiny MBP into the office to work on simply because I know what I want to produce and I know that I have the tools to accomplish those visions on my system. Unfortunately I am limited to the resources that were available at the office. Sometimes you just have to make the best with what you have. If you know what you want to create then it's easier to accomplish and selecting the right tool for the job is easier in this regard as well. Suddenly I can no longer do the New York Times Acrostic. It says I need a plug-in, but when I try, it says there are no plug-ins available.

Automated Publishing: Easy Catalog vs Smart Catalog vs InData Plug-ins

I'm working on automating the workflow on a regularly produced newspaper advertising insert that includes hundreds of products. We will be creating a UI that pulls data from my clients substantial retail product database. Each product also includes at least one image..
I'm wondering if anyone has evaluated the various plug-ins available and done a product comparison. The plug-ins I'm considering at the moment are Easy Catalog, Smart Catalog and InData.
I like Easy Catalog's ability to reverse update the database from changes made within InDesign, and they have better demos than Smart Catalog. However without direct experience using and comparing the three plug-ins, it's hard to determine which is the best product.They have free demos available, but that requires a substantial time commitment in learning and experimenting with all three.
Does anyone know if any side-by-side product comparisons that have been done?

I too would like to know from those who have had a hands on what software is prefered and the qurks of each.
This is an expensive endevor and I do not want to throw away my money.
Right now I am leaning towards Smart Catalog for no other reason that would like to also have Smart Styles—keep them in the same family.
I hope someone will post soon for I am ready to buy.

Cycore FX plug-ins for After Effects 7

I'm having some issues finding the Cycore FX plug-ins for After Effects 7 (I know, it's old )
Using Windows 7 x64. The original discs were installed on an older OS, and have since been lost. AE 7 has been downloaded from the Adobe web site, but there are no additional resources/folders with the plug-ins to be found...any ideas???

It's strange that Adobe don't have the Cycore plug-ins available at the point of download. (It would make things so civilized.)

Plug-Ins for iWeb?

iWeb out of the box is one of the weakest web authoring apps I've ever seen, 2nd only to FrontPage and that's pretty bad. Are there any plug-ins available that will add functionality to iWeb such as form support, tables, etc?

There may be ways to add these features to sites created by iWeb (search the forum for forms or tables or whatever to see what people have come up with), but it sounds like you probably need something more advanced than what iWeb is designed to do. Third Party Plug-Ins have disappeared on upgrade from CS4 to CS5

Hello Folks,
I have recently upgraded from PS CS4 to CS5 and now, on looking through the Plug-Ins available fromthe Menu - Help - About Plug-In --, I see that my 3rd Party Plug-Ins (NOT the Plug-Ins which had previously been installed automatically by CS4 and are now no longer installed by CS5 as a matter of course), such as Akvis / Bokeh / Imagenomic and many others, are no longer shown.
Has anyone else out there experienced the same problem due to this upgrade? If so, I would be grateful if someone could advise as to whether there is some solution readily available OR, is it a case of having to re-install the 3rd Party Plug-Ins one by one??
This did not happen when I upgraded from CS3 to CS4 - all my 3rd Party Plug-Ins made that transition quite successfully.
For information purposes, I am running Windows 7 Ultimate on a 32 bit system mode.

Yes it did. You just don't remember having to deal with it.
Photoshop does not ever install in the same folder as a prior version. Thus CS5 will not see the plug-ins that have been installed in or under the Adobe Photoshop CS4\plug-ins folder.
Thus you will need to install your plug-ins again, pointing them at the CS5 area. Some (as mentioned above) may need to be upgraded.

Are there ODSI plug-ins available that i can use on my eclipse environment instead of using workshop?

ODSI can be installed over an existing Eclipse, but it has to exactly match the Eclipse version 3.3.3 that comes with ODSI. The installer has an option to pick an external Eclipse.

Are plug ins available for a 7-year old iBookG4 that will provide more sounds or improve performance on GB? Or can I upgrade to OX 6.8 on this Mac so that I can get the newer GB? Thanks.
