FCP 4.0 not loading -Emergency

When I try opening it it stalls when it says "loading audio filters" I have not added any plug-ins and I am trying to retrieve video files. IT has previously loaded without problems though I haven't opened it in a few months.

I reposted because I changed my profile and email settings but the changes were not being shown so I was not getting the responses. Every time I changed the info and saved them I would log out login and the old email was still there. I cleared cookies, cache, closed Safari, restarted safari and noiw it appears it has my correct and updated information.
I have used this version of FCP on this computer. I now have the serial number but again, it starts to open and stalls at "Loading Audio Filters..." There has to be a way around this so I can retrieve video files.

Some Logic audio components are not compatible with FCP which is why I suggested that you download Audio Unit Manager from the link in my initial post.

i installed waves plugins for my protools tdm system and some how it has affected my fcp. when i try to load it, fcp stays stuck on loading audio filters. i tried reinstalling fcp, i tried trashing the preference folder and restarting ,but nothing helps. does anyone have any ideas? also itunes and quicktime are not loading i think these problems are related.

The same thing is happening to me on my G4. I don't have any third party plugins. In fact, i have looked in the application support folder and i can't find any audio plugins for FCP. I have reinstalled it several times and everytime i open FCP is stalls during the load menu. It always stalls when it starts loading audio plugins. Sounds like we have the same issue. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

PS3 (Playstation 3) issue not loading BDR Bluray | Adobe Encore CS6

I recently created a Bluray using Adobe Encore CS6, and the Bluray is not loading on my PS3, but is working fine on my other player (LG, Toshiba and PC). Does anyone have the same issue and found a solution? I need help on this as most of my client use their PS3 as Bluray player.
Authoring program: Adobe Encore CS6 with the Creative Cloud latest update
PS3 with latest firmware update (PS+ member with auto-update: on)
Video files: 1920x1080 FPS 23.976 Program Stream MPEG-2 for Bluray *.m2v (transcode with FCP Compressor)
Audio files: Dolby Digital Audio *.ac3
Burner software: CyberLink Power2Go V6
Burner hardware: HP BD Writer bd340i
Media: Verbatim BD-R 25GB 6x Speed
Project size: 20/25GB
The project setting in CS6 is: Blu-ray NTSC with MPEG-2 Codec at 1920x1080 at 23.976FPS
The “Check Project” shows no error. I build (output) as an image, then burn the *.ISO file using CyberLink Power2Go.
The BD-R work fine everywhere (LG & Toshiba player) except on my PS3. The BD-R has the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folder, so I don’t know why my PS3 don’t recognize it. And I have three PS3 at home; 1xPS3 80GB version (3yrs old) and 2xPS3 super slim (1yr old). All three are unable to see the BD-R. My PS3 work fine with all other media (games & movie Bluray); and I highly doubt that all three have trouble with the Bluray player.
I did the same process last time (in 2013) and everything is working fine, all the same configuration, except I used Adobe Encore CS4. My PS3 was able to read and recognize the BD-R. But since CS6, my PS3 don’t see the BD-R. I also put back the copy that I did last year with CS4 (just to make sure that is not a PS3 firmware issue) and the Bluray work fine. The media (Verbatim) come from the same tower (leftover from last year).
So everything point toward CS6…is there something that change from CS4 to CS6 for Bluray creation? Jumping from Encore CS4 to CS6, I don’t see anything different, but look like there is, because the Bluray can no longer be played on my PS3. Please help!

Create an ISO (Encore) or folder on your hard drive (Encore or Premiere Elements) and then use the FREE http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write files or folders or ISO to disc for DVD or BluRay (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program)
Imgburn will read the ACTUAL disc brand from the disc, which is not always the same as the box label (Memorex is notorious for buying "anything" and putting it inside a Memorex box)
When you write to disc with Imgburn, use the SLOWEST possible speed setting, so your burner has the best chance to create "good, well formed" laser burn holes... since no player is required to read a burned disc, having a "good" one from a high quality blank will help

CR files will no longer show in bridge and will not load into PS

Hi I had a problem with bridge CS6 dynamic link failing and had tech support finally help with the problem by phone They had me reinstall PSCS6 and Bridge among other things like setting the permissions differenty. It worked ok when I opened it again after those changes and then I closed the apps and opened them again the next day (today) but now the CR files will show no thumbnails nor previews in bridge and will not load into PSCS6.
I get now the following error messages
These are files that are on my system and not from a camera plugged into the computer. They had worked just fine before the reinstall and permisisons changes the tech had me do. They open in the preview app and look fine so I know they are not corrupted files and I have tried different saved versions of the same (or any other CR file) and none of them will now open and Camera raw itself seems no where to be found. My prefences in camera raw have not clanged. Any ideas??? thanks and aloha, UP

HI, I managed to fix the trouble by reinsatalling once again and running updates BEFORE opening bridge. It seemed that if I ran the update AFTER opening bridge I would get either an up to date status when checking for updates or I would get an install failure notice on all 4 updates that were trying to install. The updates were for camera raw, bridge and PS. I can't explain why but that helped a little. I also changed permissions on my whole user accnt to include read/write for all users. I can't say if this helped or not. I also had to go into my camera B/U files on a sepate HD and replace some of the CR folders I was using o nthe desktop. Still the CR files would not show a thumb nor a preview till I then went to each individual file inside that folder and purged the cashe for that file so it could repopulate the cashe yet again. This has been the strangest few days in PSCS6 history! Well my personal history. I will report back here if more quirks emerge. I would prefer quarks though....aloha, U

Images are not loaded in KM Navigational iViews

Hi All
I have uploaded documents & folders in Content Management.
Created KM navigational iViews, assigned to pages, worksets & role.
Role has been granted to other users, and when they click on the role, images of documents types are not loaded. When I run the properties(Image) path its gives a portal exception.
But when I login I see all the images loading perfectly.
Please advise on this. Its an emergancy.

I have the same problem. But , under user "root" everything works fine, under user "oracle" images are not loaded. User oracle are owner folder where glassfish installed.
And one more problem. Apex Listener doesn't understand role Admin and user adminlistener. Every time I have recieved message : access denied.

IE11 - Magento Web site - Slideshows Script/Jquery on Home Page does not load

I need help on emergency please, We tried all and its not functionning on IE11 Windows 8.1.
On Our Magento dev site Home Page, We have Menu + Different Slideshows:
1) When We enter on Dev site directly from URL to Home page, all Slideshows and Menu function perfectly
2) When We go to another page and Come back to Home Page. Slideshows disappear (does not load), menu does not Unfold. If, We refresh manually, All come back as usual.
3) We tried all, even testing all extensions on site; We didnt succeed to find a solution for that!
By the way, the site functions perfectly on IE10, and other competition Browsers,

FCP X does not recognize projects and events on USB drive after a time machine restore of the MBP macintosh disk.
I upgraded from an i5 to an i7 15" MBP and restored my files using my time machine backup. All seemed to go ok, except I had to use the migration assistant because on the initial boot the MAC didn't recognize the backup database on the USB device. MAybe this is a hint.
Since when I start FCPX it too cannot finnd the project or event directories.
Before my upgrade, I had a choice of files either on the Macintosh disk or the 2TB USB disk.
Now only files on the Macintosh are accessible to FCPX. The USB drive is visible under events and project but it finds no projects or events.
Please help if you can.

I think I have the structure that you are recommending.
I have a root level directory (Final Cut Events) with the files in them.
The puzzling thing is that it used to work before the migration!.
Anyway I'm going to move the contents to the root and see what happens.
On a slightly different note...
I also posted a question about CPU utilization. Can I ask a question or two?
While rendering a short clip, I noticed burst of disk activity when the render started (likely loading the media files into ram since I have about 4Gigs available, then almost no activity while the render is happening, then more disk activity when its done.
However the cpu activity is not as high as I would have expected since rendering requires a lot of cpu.
What is your experience? I know some render is done by the GPU, but in my older i5 the CPU was about 100%, now in my i7 its about 50%.
Please look at the attached utilization for CPU and disk activity.

Live Type not loaded when I loded Final Cut Studio

I just upgraded to a Mac Pro from an i Mac. I loaded Final Cut Studio and Live Type was not loaded I do not see it in my applications folder. Do I have to reload the whole Final Cut app. or can I load Live Type only. If so from which disc would I have to load Live Type ?

You can install it from and older version of FCP. Run the installer and it will tell you which discs to load.

Kernel extension did NOT load

After reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling 9.2.2 and all necessary upgrades to reach 10.4.11, I can no longer see my Aurora Igniter capture card (which worked fine before the reformat). When I reboot using 9.2.2, the card IS seen and works flawlessly. But when I restart in 10.4.11, it's gone. When I open Ignition in System Preferences, I get the message: "The kernel extension igniter.kext did not load!" and it says no driver was installed. I see a driver in my OS 9 System folder extensions folder, but a search of my hard drive shows no such .kext file exists anywhere. Any ideas? I know Aurora is no longer in business but I'm trying not to have to replace my capture card and breakout box. Also, I'm using the latest driver for the card.

Everything is the same as before, except that I installed FCP Studio to replace 4.5 Otherwise, it's the same OS, same QT... unfortunately, although I backed up most things, I failed to back up my OS 9 system folder. I do, however, have a copy of the original installation log of the Aurora card back in 2002, for what it's worth. This is, of course, the install under 9.2.2, which is still working.

System Does not Load, Fans Spins Non Stop, Blank Screen.

So i have a Quad Core 3Ghz with the ATI Radeon X1900 512MB ram.
I also have 2GB of internal ram and 2 more purchased 3rd party, totally of 4GB.
I have had my computer for about 3 months now i am guessing since the first week it came out. About 2 weeks ago i noticed my monitor would go out, i thought it was the monitor. Up until it started when i would start up the computer. The Fans inside would non stop spin and the OS would not Load up the Screen was still Black and not turning on but the power light was on and fans spinning. it would do this to a few other monitors as well. I did apples Hardware Test, 5 times, the extended one and nothing found, no errors. it does it with Apples Ram that i got and with just the 3rd party ram as well with out the apple ram.
I dont know if its the Graphics card because it seems to be cutting off the computer all together. when i am using it sometimes it will just go out on me. the computer light will be on like its on but the screen is out. i also was in mid chat with friends and the would not get my message hoping it was the Graphics card but it seems like it shuts down the whole system.
So yes, i have to restart it about 6 or 7 times for it to get past that Fan Spinning Non Stop stage then it clicks into gear and works. Every morning it works like that. same routine for over a week now.
Any clue as to what it would be? like the mother board or Power supply, i dont know how the power supply would stop the OS from loading and fans spinning but i am at a loss?

The ATI Radeon can 'suffocate' if the air intakes on the cooling chamber of the graphics card become clogged with dust and unable to cool the card down. Needs to be cleaned from time to time.

Have you been using Hardware Monitor / Temperature Monitor to check on the temperatures of RAM, drives, cpu, etc?
Regular maintenance with Disk Utility and Disk Warrior to repair the drive?
An emergency boot drive?
when you boot from the DVD does it work normal? have you repaired the boot drive from DVD (lacking an emergency boot drive)? How about a clean install on another drive?
Some people use v. 2.1 of smcFanControl to force the fans to run slightly higher to insure that RAM and video card don't overheat.
How is the wall current and circuit? what else shares that circuit? are you on a UPS? (I wouldn't be without one and Mac Pro needs 1200VA.

Project Not Loading

Hi,
I have a project that I've been working on for many weeks in FCP 10.1.1. Yesterday I inadvertantly rebooted my Macbook and when I reloaded FCP all my projects and events had vanished from FCP itself. I have been taking plenty of backups within FCP and I found the project file in the Movies folder on my hard drive. When I double click the file, FCP attempts to load the project but then I get the beach ball and it says "Loading [Project] into the Timeline". It does then display a couple of images from the project and in the timeline I can also see the outline of the images and the music appears to be there- but it never seems to load- the 'loading project' message remains- have left it hours.
This is the first time I have used FCP and so the concept of Projects/Events was new to me. As a result, I must admit my files were quite disorganised- I had many projects/libraries for the same project. The files I'm trying to load are fairly large 18gb-19gb so it may just be that it's taking a while to load but I have left it serveal hours to no avail. The proiject is an hour long with a few hundered photos and some videos.
Just wanted to see if anyone knows of anything I can try to reload- like I say, I have loads of backup files and different versions of projects saved in the Movies folder. So frustrating as it does appear to load the outline of the images (just a grey box but is in the right order) and the music I added is displaying beneath correctly?
I have:
2.6GHz Intel Core i7
16GB Memory
OS X Version 10.9.1

Thanks Tom...I've also included a couple of screenshots showing the other projects that I seemed to have saved (but that will also not open) and the backups, just in case that helps provide some context...I moved all the files shown below into a folder called 'Hidden Movies' in case FCP was attempting to load themm but I don't think it is...
The last one shows all the backups- there are literally loads. Been working on this for months so I really hope there's something I can do!

HP Laserjet M2727nf - Firmware not loading to Printer

My printer display was not working so I ordered a new one. But as I read some postings it seems to be by formatter board. I baked the formatter board. After I baked it, the display would show: Hewitt Packard >>>>>. I did the below
but the firmware utility update is not going to the printer. The display shows ***BootDimm*** Ready 2 download.
I have left the jumper on and have taken it off to upload the firmware to the printer. Nothing has happened.   I have not even seen the display changing to erasing firmware, then programing firmware.
I baked the board and it started to work. I then Download the firmware utility update for my printer.  I Removed the printer left cover. Turned the printer on while it’s was connected by usb. Jumper or short the 2 pin connector - the display read "ready to load firmware". I heard the printer usb driver connect / initialize in windows-
Next I started the HP firmware update utility, select your printer from drop down list.   However the display did not change to erasing firmware, then programing firmware; finally it will display "firmware rom upload complete" - or something close to that. The computer did do this: the progress bar on the firmware update utility in windows completed and displayed the smiley face (about 3 min). Then I turned the printer off - unpluged it and disconnect the usb cable from the printer. It did not load. So where did I go wrong.

Apple included the Gimp-Print driver "HP Laserjet 6 Series" for that printer. Does that show up?

Adobe photoshop will not load on computer???

i just got a new imac with tigar and the leopard update.
i updated to leopard as soon as i started the computer.
then i went to the adobe website and downloaded the trial version of photoshop cs3.
i installed it fine, but when i try to open PS, and error mesage tells me that the licence has ended and to reinstall. so i did, 4 times.
still nothing. what is the problem?

i did not load anything on 10.4, when i goto the new imac, i just loaded 10.4 and then immediatly updated to 10.5. i have CS3 on my pc, so i just want to test CS3 on the new mac, to see which runs better. if i like it then i will buy the mac version. so far, my pc will surf the net about 3-4 times faster than the mac. i did not get the mac for net use, only for sound video and photo editing. but i do surf google for images.
right now i am trying to erase and reinstall OX S back to 10.4, then i will try to install CS3 again, then if it works, ill update to 10.5 and see if that works.
