FCP 4.5 Not opening on new G5

I just recently bought a new 2.0 GHz G5 PowerMac straight from Apple. The hard drive and RAM were upgraded, and Bluetooth was installed. I installed FCP 4.5 (From an Academic Production Suite package) and the application will not open. An error message pops up saying that the FCP needs an AGP Graphics card. I've looked for an update for FCP perhaps to accomodate the graphics card in the G5 to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Corp. Simmons

  • When I click on the "new tab" button it does not open a new tab, how do I fix this?

Left clicking or right clicking on the new tab button does not open a new tab. Common fixes have been unsuccessful. I don't know what's wrong. It's a recent problem, and even though I'm using an older version of Firefox this hasn't been a problem before.

Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and the current version of Firefox.

  • Why can I not open a new window but I can open new tabs in V3.6.16?

I am running Firefox 3.6.16 on both my PC and my laptop. The program works fine on my PC, I can open both new windows and new tabs. However, on my laptop I can not open a new window. Tabs open just fine, but when I try to open a new window nothing happens. Also, when I close the program after trying to open a new window the program is still running but I have no Firefox window to work in and therefore have to go through the Task Manager to end the program. And when I re-open it, I get asked if I want to restore the session or start a new session. Is there a way to

'''Un-install''' the '''''Ask Toolbar''''' until Ask fixes the problem with their toolbar:

  • Clicking the scroll wheel does not open a new firefox window

I'm running Windows 7 x64 SP1. I use the scroll wheel to click items in the task bar to open another instance of those items. Eg I scroll-click a Firefox or Excel or Explorer or whatever item in the taskbar, and it opens another instance of that program. I use this feature to open a new instance of FireFox rather than switching to the FF window, then using control-n to open a new window.
I just upgraded to FireFox 6 from FF4.x. Since doing so, scroll-clicking the FF item in the taskbar does not open a new FF window. It does, well, nothing.
I installed FF6 on a clean Win7 x86 (RTM) build in a VM. When I use the scroll-click feature in the taskbar, it works as expected: it opens a new FF window.
Things I have tried: A different mouse; updating video drivers (I doubted this would make a difference, but it needed to be done anyway, so I thought I'd mention it); running FF in safe mode (ie with all plugins etc disabled).
I'm doing a little experimentation right now with respect to x86/x64, RTM/SP1, clean FF6/upgrade from 4.x and other differences that might highlight why it works as expected in my VM but not on my physical machine.
I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this problem since upgrading to FF6.

Respectfully, that answer isn't particularly helpful. I have already demonstrated that middle-clicking (mouse wheel click) will open a new instance of FF, and other programs. This was true before the upgrade from FF4 to FF6, and is true on all my VM builds (Windows 7 default install with nothing but FF installed).
Nevertheless, I've tried shift-left-click, and it does not open a new instance. It will only open a new instance if I pin FF to the taskbar, which I have already stated I do not want to do. This new behaviour is unique to FF. Other applications (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, whatever) all behave as expected. It is only Firefox that is misbehaving, and it is only misbehaving since the upgrade.
My issue is that FF has changed its behaviour with respect to middle-clicking since upgrading from 4 to 6. I'd welcome helpful comments about getting FF to behave.

  • The wheel click button does not open a new window since the latest update (9.0.1)

    Hi
I just want to report this bug in hope it will be fixed asap
The wheel click button does not open a new window since the latest update (9.0.1)
    Thank you

Middle-click or click the scroll-wheel on a hyperlink has always opened a '''new Tab'''. Any chance you had an add-on that changed that action, and now that add-on is disabled or incompatible?

  • Even if homepage is selected it does not open in new tab

even if homepage is selected it does not open in new tab.when i opened Firefox the previous website which i opened is coming .please give me answer.

I guess it is too much to ask your users to middle-click the Homepage button to get their Homepage in a new tab.
I don't think Mozilla is even interested in "Enterprise" any longer. The new Fast Release schedule for Firefox doesn't meet the needs of the corporate community for long term support, so I guess they aren't valued any longer. Mike Kaply has written about this situation repeatedly this year. <br />

  • Global Policy Link Does Not Open A New Browser Window

    Hi All,
    On 11.5.10.2 version
Global Policy Link which is located at the top of most iExpenses pages is
supposed to open a dynamic web page (Core policy manuals) on a new browser when
someone clicks on it. Currently this link, when clicked on it, brings the
correct page on the same browser.
I need the page to be opened in new window.
if not so, i need a alternate solution to open in new window
    Thanks in advance,
    Vali

  • Terminal: could not open a new pseudo-tty

Since I upgraded to Leopard my Terminal started to misbehave. Many times when i open it or a new window or just a new tab, all it displays it the message:
Could not open a new pseudo-tty.
An I cannot type in it or anything. Even if I quit Terminal and try again the error persists.
Funny that this is not happening every day, maybe it's being cause by another app like HamachiX or something.
Does it log the actual error that caused the tty to not open in some log file? Has anybody seen this? I couldn't find any mentions even in google

One more thing, this problem only occurs on my account. When logged in on the guest account, I experience no issues. Just to test this, I also created another administrator account, and I also have not run into this problem.
    Thanks Again

  • I cab not open a new tab, Conrol t, new tab, right click, etc. nothing works.

Since the last upgrade, I can not open a new tab. Only a new window. None of the tab options work.

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
    * Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
    * Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

In Photoshop CS5 I have updated my raw-update that was suggested by my updatebutton in my photoshop. But I still can not open my new camera srw-files from my samsung nx300.

You cannot open Raw files from the Samsung NX300 in CS5.
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
You need Adobe Camera Raw 7.4 or later which is only compatible with CS6 or later.
    Some choices:
    Upgrade to CS6
    Join the Cloud
    Join the CCPP
Free option: download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all Raw files from the NX300 to DNGs then edit the DNGs in CS5

Why does the tab button in Safari close Safari and not open a new tab?

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
