FCP "auto resetting" and "current settings"

Hi there,
I am puzzled need help with two questions regarding FCP settings.
Let start with a clip that is shot aas 1440x1080 60i
I create a new FCP project with the following sequence preset :
Apple ProRes 422 1440x1080 60i 48 Khz
then I drag my clip in the timeline and get the message telling me that the sequence and the clip settings are not matching and I am offered to "adapt" the sequence settings to the match the clip setting for best results.
First question :
Why is it doing so since I have used the same settings as those of the clip when I created my FCP project ?
If I proceed and then go to "export with QT"
I am offered to use "current settings"
Second question:
Is current setting referring to the "modified settings" that I accepted to match my clip or is it referring to the original settings that I used when I created my sequence ?

Hi David,
Actually, I use "log and transfert", with "ProRes422" Setting to import the clips from my Sony camera connected with USB to the computer (see attached)

This morning I was trying to add some keywords to a library by adding them to one image and then using auto-sync to add to all images, but auto-sync and sync settings are totally greyed out.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may have done for this to happen.

Do you have Lock Rotation turned ON? This creates an icon that has a circle with arrow around a lock. See the control panel to turn off Lock Rotation (swipe up from the bottom of the screen to show the Control Panel).

Canon 6D Back button auto focus and ISO settings

I was curious why when I am shooting in TV mode and I am using the back button auto focus that the camera will automatically change the ISO setting that I set. Is there something that I have missed in the settings or is this an automatic feature that can not be turned off?

Sounds like you have safety shift set in a custom function
Check C.Fn 1-6 Safety Shift - you may have it set to 2 - ISO Speed

If I reset and erase settings and all content from the iPhone 5 what will happen to my phone

My phone is turning off from 30% battery all the time and it's very slow I was going to erase and reset all conent and settings but I just want to know will I still have everything on my phone I don't care if I look pictures etc will the phone be like factory please help

The volume on my iPad 3 has dropped considerably. I have read quite a few posts and followed advice re doing reset and checking settings. Nothing has worked. WHEN IS APPLE GOING TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE.

For what it's worth I haven't see any change in volume on my iPad 3.

Hero Factory reset and APN settings

One for the Mods...
After screwing up my Hero I decided to do a factory reset. All went OK apart from the APN setting...
1. The ones after a reset are Vodafone ones - not a suprise really as Vodafone are the carrier.
2. Using "SIM Toolkit" icon to retrieve BT settings - you get an email saying the phone is not recognised.
3. Going to www.btsettings.com (as the sms says) - Doesnt have HTC as a manufacturer.
I worked them out myself, but the two places where you should be able to get them have failed.

Tap Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock -> Enter passcode -> Turn passcode off -> Enter passcode again.

Is there an outage in the Cleveland, Ohio area (zip codes 44129, 44134, 44137) or anything else I can do to resolve this issue?

Not that I'm a Verizon employee, but I have experience in the field. An LTE tower will only extend up to, on a perfect day, with no elevation, 6-7 miles. On a typical day, you will be lucky at four (4) miles. The three ZIP codes you've given are all within about a 12 mile radius. That would mean that 2-3 towers are currently down at the same time, and Verizon would know about it within the hour. Being it's Cleveland, I'm sure they would receive numerous calls regarding an outage of that size.
My point is that if you're having issues in all three ZIP codes, chances are it's a phone issue. If you're handset is simply not receiving LTE, but still receiving 3G, that would signify a SIM card issue. You need to get your SIM card replaced.

My Windows 7 laptop had to be reset to factory settings and iTunes was wiped. I have all my songs and playlists on my iPod. Is there anyway to transfer the songs back over, but storing the number of plays I have and carrying across my playlists too?

My laptop had a few problems and it had to be reset to factory settings. Meaning my iTunes was wiped clean and I had to reinstall it. My previous iTunes (and current iPod nano) has 13 playlists, over 2000 songs and a record of plays going back 2 years (which i would like back since a lot of my playlists are play based).
I've followed guides online, and i've managed to get my songs from my iPod to my computer and thus onto iTunes again. But neither the play count, nor the playlists are transferring with these methods.
Considering when I first bought this laptop I had to redo all my playlists and I KNOW how time consuming and bloody annoying it was I'd rather not do it again.
Is there anyone that can give me a step by step guide of how to do this?
I would GREATLY appreciate this, as at current i'm refusing to sync my iPod again as I am so desperate to cling onto the playlists and plays I have, which means no new songs...

I figured a Nano would probably connect in a simpler way than the touch, but only have a couple computers and cables to test.
I've reinstalled iTunes, but not the full suite, and not all traces. I will attempt this, but I suspect its related to my touch. I was able to connect other iphones to my itunes without issue, using the same cable.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

My iPad 2 used to connect to my wifi and now will not at all. Prior to it becoming completely nonfunctional I could get it to connect by restarting it. Then that didn't work anymore so I went into general settings reset all network settings.

Prior to it becoming completely nonfunctional I could just restart it and it would connect properly to the wifi. Then that work around stopped working. Then I went into general settings and reset all network settings and that worked for a while. When that stopped working I let the battery drain completely and then after a full charge it worked again for a while. Now nothing. What should I try next that will hopefully fix this issue more permanently?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

My Ipod Classic (160G) no longer synchs completely with iTunes (93G). Have reset and restored to no avail. AM about to try roll back to a previous version of iTunes, which has been on auto update.

Recently, there seem to be fewer folders syncing. In particular, it is not syncing more recent adds. It also occassionally refuses to sync at least one mp3 downloaded from Amazon.com, giving an unable to sync message with an error code or 50.
I'm running iTunes version 10.7, and the software (2.04) on myiPod is current.
I only use the iPod for music. I have only one playlist.
Reset and restore did not fix the problem; I'm considering rolling back to a previous version of iTunes. Are there any other ideas to consider?

iTunes and its sync process with your iPod have been know to choke once the amount of data that needs to be transferred, replaced, or updated, reaches a certain size limit in GBs.
