FCP cannot see or add any master templates
For some unknown reason, my FCP cannot see or add any master templates even thou all of the master templates are there in the right directory. Can someone take me through the steps to correct this issue? I have FCP 6.0.6 and Motion 3.0.2

Remove QuickTime receipts:
Go to /Library/Receipts/
Locate the QuickTime receipts files.
Select all QuickTime receipts that have version numbers as part of their names (but don't select the other QuickTime receipts). Here's an example of what they look like (you may have different receipts on your computer):
Drag the selected receipts to the Trash.
Download and install the latest version of QuickTime for Mac OS X.
After following these steps and restarting your computer, your DV device should interact with Final Cut as expected.

check the overall trash on the 'dock'.when files are deleted from programmes, they always go to the general 'Trash' as general files and you will need to delete form there as well. if there is still a lot of missing files taking up space try reloading or deleting 'Iphoto' and uploading again.

04s WAD: Cannot see assigned roles and web templates
Hi,
when i log into the 04s WAD, i am unable to see the roles that are assinged to my id as well as teh templates assigned to those roles. using the "find" function does not return web templates that i should be able to see. I am able to see the roles & web templates when logging in through the 3.x WAD.
We are on SP11. any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!Hi,
You should migrate your 3.x WAD to see them with the new WAD.

I just updgraded from FD4.5 to FC Studio. When I log and caputre my Panasonic DV deck is not recognized. I can control the play, stop, rewind, but I do not see an image. In a prior post a person had the same problem and was told it was a quicktime 7 problem. I have Quicktime 7.1 installed it came with the OSX 4.4. Is there anything I can do? Or do I need to purchase another version of Quicktime?

Hi there, since I installed Mavericks, when I am having a video conference with Facetime, and I maximize its window, the other person stops seeing me (my camera turns off.
Is this a bug? or do we have any solution to this annoying issue?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. This article has some steps you can take to isolate and troubleshoot the issue with your built-in iSight camera:

Important: Follow these instructions in order. Test the camera between steps to see if the issue is resolved.
Built-in iSight cameras
These steps are for iSight cameras that are built into a computer, such as the iMac G5 (iSight) or later, the MacBook, or MacBook Pro.
See if the issue is application-specific.
Try another application (iSight works with applications like iChat, PhotoBooth, and iMovie HD 6) to see if the iSight camera exhibits the same behavior in all applications. If it only happens in one application, try reinstalling that application.
See if the issue is user-specific.
Test your iSight camera in another user account. If the issue only occurs in one user, the issue would be isolated to user settings.
Find out if the computer recognizes the iSight
Check System Profiler (in the Utilities folder, inside the Applications folder). Under the USB header, check to see if the iSight camera is detected.
Reset SMC or PMU
Reset your computer's SMC or PMU, and then check System Profiler again. (SMC reset instructions for iMac G5 (iSight), Intel-based iMacs; PMU reset instructions for MacBook and MacBook Pro.)
If your built-in iSight camera is still not behaving correctly after trying all these steps, you may need to contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.

I found it via Search ... but for the life of me, all of our screens are full of apps; where is Reminders at? Thanks! :] JB
If you have more apps that will fit on 11 screens, the ones that aren't showing can only be accessed by search. Connect your iPhone to iTunes and rearrange your apps. You'll be able to see them all that way.

This screen grab actually cuts off the right side a little bit but this is basically my issue. I can move the whole window but I still can't see or access the parameters for each of the title settings. Is this just a bug I have to live with until Apple fixes it or does anyone have a solution?
I'm on a MacBook Pro with a 15.4" screen. Resolution = 1024x768 (stretched).
I've tried moving the window but it cuts off the inspector in the same place and I am unable to resize the width of the window. -
I cannot see my music any more after doing reset.
Help me please, I had to reset my ipod now I can no longer see my music in the playlist on the ipod nor in iTunes. When I go into the ipod iteself thru ipod_control-music, I can see all of the folders with my music in them. I tried opening and playing the music whic it played in windows media player. Also my ipod shows that the space is being used by the music i loaded.
How can I get my music back so that I can see them all in ipod and itunes.
Windows XP ProDownloaded and synced music (and audiobooks and audio podcasts) go into the Music app, iTunes on the iPad is just the iTunes store :

FCP Crashes when adding a Master Template
Hi,
I'm pretty new using fcp7, only been learning for about 2 months.
I'm trying to use any Master Template but fcp crashes before it loads them. The program works fine while doing any other editing or bringing filters and transitions.
Does anyone have a crash analyser to figure it out what the problem is? Any expert out there?

Cannot see Airplay icon on any of my devices
Hi Community,
I bought a brand new Apple TV and it connected to the wireless network at home. I can use photo stream with all my devices, I can access all internet services directly using the Apple TV (e.g. Youtube, Movies, Netflix, etc...) but I cannot see Airplay on any of my devices (2 iPads, 2 iPhones).
I have disabled the firewall settings on my router. The Apple TV has a DHCP ip address and has strong wireless signal. I have updated my AppleTV software today to the latest version. Still none of my devices can see Airplay icon.
I couldn't find any discussion that could help me in sorting my problem out.
Help please?
ThanksThanks for the link. It didn't work at first on any of the devices but then I decided to enter a manual DNS instead of an automatic configuration. Then followed the steps again from your link and it worked.
It is not stable though as I need to reset the device for it to see the airplay. But when it is connected it stays connected for 30 minutes approx.
Any other suggestions to keep it stable would be fantastic but at least in the meantime I have a workaround.

Cannot start SAP add-on copy express
Dear All,
I requested a global license for our customer. The manager SAP user has Pro license. When I tried to start copy express in either CA or US localization DB, I got an error message 'Add on does not have a license'.
I tried on another customer's server. The manager SAP user has Pro license only but I can start the add-on.
The customer is on SAP8.8 PL12, SQL2005. Any idea? Thanks.

We don't have that choice 'SAP Add-ons' or 'Add-on Access'. When I requested the license, AddOn Access Users I requested 90 (the number I can request). When I go license administration, on components tab, I can see I have 9999 SAP add-ons. But I cannot see it on allocation tab.
On my other customers, I cannot see 'SAP Add-ons' or 'Add-on Access' either. I just allocated Pro license and it works fine.

I was downloading a Bosesoundtouch update on my iphone. Screen went black and now I cannot see anything.

Hi. I have my son's ibook g4. I can boot from an external drive, but cannot see the internal drive. It does not appear in Apple System Profiler. Further, while I can see the CD drive in the profiler, I cannot insert a disk so I cannot run a hardware test.
Is it possible that a CD is in the CD drive and I simply cannot see it?
Any ideas about the internal drive? Could the cable be bad?

Sure. Reboot the iBook while holding down the mouse 'clicker'. If there is a CD in the drive it will be ejected. -
Can't see Master Templates in FCP 6
Hello,
I'm trying to view my master templates in FCP 6. Both the user templates that I've created in Motion 2 and the factory templates that come with Motion 3 are showing a white screen when I try to open them in the viewer or the the timeline. The other computer in the studio has the same stats as mine and is able to view the templates. Am I missing a setting?
