FCP export to Color not working

I could only wish I was having the troubles on this forum, as I can't get to Color to open a file.
In FCP 6, I export to Color, choose a name, Color opens... and you see a file box for a brief second, and the file loads a blank timeline with no information.
I tried importing an XML file from FCP's export, and Color doesn't open the file.
How can I troubleshoot this? It's happening on both of my workstations.

After some tinkering, I found the problem.
My ~/Documents/Color Documents had read only permissions, and made the file bork without giving an error.

    Hi
I'm using JDeveloper 11g TP4 and in Firefox 3.X export to excel not working
    Regards,
    JavaDeVeLoper

    Java developer,
Firefox 3.x is not one of the documented supported browsers for 11g TP4 (FF 2.0.x and IE 7 are).
I'm assuming by "export to excel," you are talking about an adf faces table?

  • Why is exporting to PDF not working?

Why is exporting to PDF not working?

    Dear Claudio,
I know it wasn't much to go on but I got your attention!
I work for a charity and use a program called "Donor Perfect".
It has a feature that when you generate a report it gives you the option to export to MSWord, Excel, and PDF.
Below is the step by step description of what happens.
     After log on ......
         1. Click on Reports
         2. Listings
         3. Report Category(any)
         4. Select Record type(any)
         5. Select report options (any selection filter that fits or Build a filter) and sort order(any)
         6. Enter title (accordingly)
         7. Click on Preview
         8. When next screen opens with report visible - in "Report Print preview" line above report choose PDF icon
         9. Export to PDF window opens
         10. click on Page range-ALL
         11. What to print-All pages in Range
         12. Save as C:\DPW32\dpsumm.pdf
         13. collate
         14. number of copies(1)
         15. Click on "Screen"
         16. Click on "Display Conversion Status"
         17. Then "OK"
         18. After conversion status reaches "100%" nothing happens -screen does not change!
Then I minimize DP screen and I go to Start menu
         1. Click on Start
         2. Then "My Computer"
         3. Local Disk "C"
         4. Dpw32
         5. Look for "dpsumm" file with today's date
         6. Size of file says 0 KB and that's it!!!!
In previous versions of DP (8 and 9)
the PDF would open on the screen as soon as the Step 18 was finished, then I could save it with an identifying name to a different folder and use it as an attachment that a Donor could receive by e-mail.
I hope I can get back to that because now I have to convert to "Word" (Which takes a long time)then from that I have to create PDF from Acrobat. too many steps ..... if I have 20-30 reports it's too cumbersome.
    Waiting for your suggestions,

  • FCP Quicktime movie files not working with iDVD

I have been using iDVD for years with no issues. Now, whenever I export a QT file from FCP 7 and use it in iDVD, I get a blank screen with audio and no video.
I am able to work around the problem by using "Export Using Qucktime Conversion" and creating a smaller file, but I've never had to do that before. What in the world am I missing here? Shouldn't I be able to export as a QT movie, as long as the file is not gigantic? (the most recent one I used and had this problem occur was only about 500mb). Thanks for any help...
    Ben

    Hmmm,
Well this is helpful information but unfortunately didn't solve my problem. The movie in question is only 5 1/2 minutes long. When I export it as a QT movie, iDVD "acts" like everything is fine; I can preview it within iDVD, etc.But when I burn the disc, it comes out blank. I then went back to FCP and exported it using QT conversion, and the DVD burned just fine. (I exclusively use Taiyo Yuden media and have never had a bad disc).
This is just a simple 16:9 movie, shot at 720/30p on a Canon DSLR. I ingested with Log and Transfer using ProRes422, then dropped it onto the timeline, added a music track, rendered, and exported as Quicktime movie. It looks great on my desktop using the QT player, but it simply will not work in iDVD.  Still stuck here...

  • Send to Color not working

Ok guys, I have searched everywhere and I reckon I have tried everything. Basically I have a sequence that I sent to color, go to color, colour correct everything, render and then select Send to Final Cut Pro. FCP open, says importing XML, gets to about 50% and stops, no message or error. I don't get a new sequence from color, just nothing.
Tried importing just the XML with the came result.
I have tried trashing the prefs, went back through the time line and removed every effect and transition. Still does not work. I had it work once before and everything was fine. But now.....it is so frustrating. I just want it to work as I need to get this video finished.
I am running FCP 6.2 and color 1.2, the latest anyway. Does anyone have any ideas. I have wasted days on this and cannot get it to work.
Message was edited by: Jared Bell

Without access to the sequence, its impossible to say.
There is something in it that is corrupting the round trip. It might be illegal media (which would be otherwise perfectly fine in FCP) or it might be something nested that XML can't cope with, re-directing the links to the new media. Unfortunately, the KISS principle is king.

  • Export-Mailbox - DeleteContent not working

    Server: Exchange 2007 SP3 RU 10
Client: Outlook 2010 SP1, OWA with IE 9
    ++++
According to this (and other sources)...
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb266964(v=exchg.80).aspx
I should be able to search for, and delete, messages using this command:
    Get-Mailbox -Database DB1 | Export-Mailbox -SubjectKeywords "Virus message" -DeleteContent
"This example first gets all the mailboxes on database DB1, searches for items that contain the string "Virus message" in the subject, and deletes those items."
    +++++
I only tried this because a colleague mentioned that he had tried and could not make it work. So I though I would investigate.
So I had test user Alan Reid send seven emails to test user Aisha Bhari. The subject was respectively: Blue, Red, Yellow, North, South, West and East. The content was "Export-Mailbox test 1" then 2, 3, 4, etc.
So at the start of the experiment, Aisha Bhari's Inbox looks like this:
Thinking, at first, that I needed to have an export folder (in fact, if I just want to delete, that is not necessary) I executed the following command:
export-mailbox [email protected] -TargetMailbox ExportMailbox -TargetFolder ForDeletion -SubjectKeywords
    "Red" -DeleteContent
Then realizing that was not necessary, and that the processing of the Calendar and Contacts was delaying the experiment, I used this command:
export-mailbox [email protected] -SubjectKeywords "Red" -ExcludeFolders "\Calendar","\Contacts" -DeleteContent
I tried "Red" with and without quotes.
I tried "Blue" and "North". I tried the -ContentKeywords switch with strings like "mailbox" and "test".
The output that displays after the command is executed puzzles me. I read:
    StandardMessagesDeleted          : 0
    AssociatedMessagesDeleted        : 0
    DumpsterMessagesDeleted          : 0
    MoveType                         : DeleteOnly
    MoveStage                        : Completed
    StartTime                        : 12/26/2013 4:36:56 PM
    EndTime                          : 12/26/2013 4:37:28 PM
    StatusCode                       : 0
StatusMessage                    : Messages have been deleted from the source mailbox.
0 messages have been deleted and "Messages have been deleted from the source mailbox."
If I look at the content of Aisha's mailbox however, the message "Red" is still present, observed in both Outlook and OWA, after logging off and back on again. And thus, obviously, closing and opening both Outlook and OWA. What I see is what you
(still) see in the image posted above. That's it.
Does anyone know why this is not working?

    Hi David,
From your description, I would like to clarify the following things:
    1. You need to grant the account which perform the task the full mailbox access permission.
    2. Export-Mailbox only marks the items for delete. It doesn't actually delete them. So "-DeleteContent" only marks it for deletion. Your mailbox retention schedule will delete the actual emails.
    Hope it helps.
If there are any problems, please feel free to let me know.

  • Export Task Audit Not Working

    Hello,
We are on HFM 11.1.2.1.103 and I am getting an error message when trying to export a users activity from the "Task Audit" menu.  When I click on export a new tab comes up with the URL http://server:port/hfm/Administration/TaskAuditExport.asp and then I get an error message:
An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the
    system administrator.
If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more
    about this error.
And when I click on "here" it takes me to this URL Running Classic ASP Applications on IIS 7 and IIS 8 : The Official Microsoft IIS Site
Any thoughts on how I resolve this would be much appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Jason

    SDM,
Thank you for the response.  This is helpful and I was able to extrac the data, but this utility doesn't give you the ability to focus on one users' activity as you can from the web.  Why is it not recommended to use the web and is there a way to get that working properly?
The reason the utility is not working for my purpose is I want to view a few users' activities over the last year and when I run the utility it gives me everyone and extracts the data across numerous files, which is not particularly easy to work with.
    Thanks.

  • Export function is not working.

    Hello gurus,
I am using the export function and I am unable to download the tsv file.
We have 2 development instances (both R12) and it works on one of them but not the other.
The file I am trying to export is under OM\Quick Order Organizer\Holds Information tab\Hold Sources button. Menu: File, Export
At the decision dialog, select Continue to End then the exporting data form pops up for a split second and goes away with no export tsv file created.
Can someone help me with this. Thank you!

Please review the database log file for any errors.
Also, make sure all pop-up blockers are disabled at the client side.
Please go through the troubleshooting docs referenced in the old threads for similar discussion -- http://forums.oracle.com/forums/search.jspa?threadID=&q=Export+not+Working&objID=c3&dateRange=all&userID=&numResults=15&rankBy=10001

  • Background Rendering in FCP 10.2 is not working

Is anyone else having an issue with background rendering not working in the new FCP 10.2 version?
In fact even the render all function doesn't seem to be working properly since I upgraded. It only appears to be rendering small pieces at a time.
It won't render the whole project out like it's supposed too. Have to keep pressing the Control, Shift, R keys over and over to get it to completely render out the sequence.

Try turning off BG Rendering and turning it back on.
If you have multiple projects in a single library, try another existing project or create a test project; (add some clips with effects to get render bars). If they render, select the first project and choose Delete Computer Generated Project Files.

  • Nebula grid GridItem.setForeground(color) not working

I am using GridTableViewer and Nebula Grid.
I am in processing of replacing old grid with new grid
    version = org.eclipse.nebula.widgets.grid_1.0.0.201506030727.
I am setting individual row's foreground color.
    for ( int i=0; i < items.length; i++){
    items[i].setForeground(color); ;
The above code worked with old grid version ver = 1.0.0.201209220511
However it's not working with new version. What do I need to change?
    Thanks
    Dhiresh

If you are using a GridTableViewer why are you then calling out to the
SWT-API? It is the job of the LabelProvider to provide the foreground
    color.
    If you can reproduce this:
    a) with a Grid only snippet (no JFace viewer)
    b) with a GridTableViewer only snippet (no call to GridItem)
File a bug and we can take a look if this is a regression

  • Export to powerpoint not working for certain views

    Hi All,
I am in the process of implementation of STVN 2.1 Pre EHP3 version of Nakisa OrgChart for one of my clients.
During testing, it is observed that export to powerpoint object is not working for the following views.
    1. Condensed Org. Chart
    2. Compressed OrgChart -Only works when we expand at least one position
    3. Horizontal OrgChart - Condensed children-Only works when we expand at least one position
In all the other views the export to Powerpoint object are working fine.
Export of powerpoint image is working in all the scenarios. We are facing issue only with powerpoint object.
I have implemented Export Pack 3.0 for OrgChart.
    J. Thomas

    Hi Luke,
    Thanks for the response.
Yes...I have installed SP1.0. I have also applied Export Pack 3.0.
The following features are working fine.
    1) Export to PDF
    2) Export to JPEG
    3) Export to Powerpoint Image.
Export to Powerpoint Object is also working fine if the style is 'Vertical'. The issue is only in case of 'Condensed', 'Compressed' and 'Horizontal OrgChart - Condensed children' sytles. Here again, if we expand at least one position, the export is working.
The error message that is flashed for the user is the usual one....pasted below.
Object Variable or With Blovk Variable Not Set.
    Export To PowerPoint
    Compatibility
    We currently support:
    Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 / 2002
    Microsoft PowerPoint 2003
Note: To ensure compatability, you may be prompted to install "Service Pack 6 for Visual Basic Runtime." If so, you must accept the installation and once installed it may ask for a system reboot which you may ignore.
    ActiveX Security
Depending on your browser settings, you may be prompted to install 'Nakisa Office Components.cab'. This is our ActiveX component that will allow you to use our Exporting functionality.
You may also be prompted to allow the ActiveX to run. If so, you must select 'Yes' to continue.
Note: If you are not prompted and the export fails to occur, please verify your Microsoft Office installation and verify your browser's ActiveX settings are set to 'Enable' or 'Prompt'.
In the log file, the following error message is displayed.
ERROR: ChartingXMLProcessor : generateLayoutXML : Unexpected XML declaration. The XML declaration must be the first node in the document, and no white space characters are allowed to appear before it. Line 1, position 5081.
