FCP export to .flv preset settings for web?

I'm building my web site in Flash and am desperately trying to find the right preset settings to compress my videos in Final Cut Pro 4.5 to play without pixilation in the new Flash Video Player (.flv)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
kalen.

Hello there Kalen!
I have found that Cleaner does a good job of compressing .flv files. Just export to Quicktime and then drag that into cleaner and tweek your settings in there. There are many options available depending on size, bit rate etc... Check it out: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?id=5562025&siteID=123112
Hope that helps!

  • Settings for web straeming

I need to get good settings for web streaming, and for seeking to work with mp4-files.
If I use Handbrake to encode video (H.264 MP4) and check the box "Web optimized" the seeking works, but if I use Meda Encoder settings it does not. ME has no "web optimized" as far as I can see - is it another setting in PP CC or ME CC I should use to get the same result? (In Handbrake the "web optimize"
places the container header at the start of the file, optimizing it for streaming across the web (fast-start))
Thanks in advance for any suiggestion!

From the CS5 user guide PDF
    Stream for best performance
You can stream FLV and F4V files to eliminate download time. FLV and F4V files also have deep interactivity and navigation capabilities when they are streamed. Streaming FLV and F4V files allow you to monitor quality of service. You can stream FLV and F4V files with the Flash Media Server. Alternatively, you can use a hosted service from one of the FLV/F4V Streaming Service partners available through the Adobe website. For more information, see "Delivering Flash Video: Understanding the Difference Between Progressive Download and Streaming Video" on the Flash Developer Center website.

  • What are the settings for web?

What are the settings for web?

    800mbps Quicktime for the web,< </div>
The compression is reducing the number of pixels being shown in order to maintain the bitrate. So rapid motion, which requires nearly all of the pixels to be redrawn, causes things to stutter.
Compression is really, really hard to do. Really.

    Hello,
You can define Print Setting to page By Defining CSS Style in page Header by typing Style tag.

  • Export settings for Web and Television

I am looking to Export a 30sec ad that will be posted on a website, and shown on TV in California. I have FC 5.0.4
What export settings do I use? Countdown? Bars and Tones?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

For web, I would recommend using H.264. The Web Download 800 kbps preset in Compressor, or the Broadband High preset in QuickTime would be a good choice.
As for delivering video for TV, I would recommend contacting the TV Network which will broadcast your video, and ask them about their broadcast requirements.
    Good luck!

  • CS4: Best export settings for web delivery?

    Greetings, all!
I recently upgraded to working with HDV footage in CS4 from working with SD footage in Elements 3, and have been struggling a bit with getting the best quality export from CS4/AME for delivery over the web.
I'm most concerned with exporting a best quality master that I can then transcode to m4v, flv, etc.  So far, the best luck I've had is with a H.264 .mp4 export, but it's still not as clean as I'd like to see.  I've also read that exporting as a Quicktime animation provides excellent results, but I'm having issues with Quicktime on my new PC (error -43 file missing, for one thing) and I've read a bunch of posts here that advise staying away from QT whenever possible.  I'm working mostly with NTSC HDV 1440x1080 60i footage from a Canon XH-A1s, with some NTSC HD 1920x1080 30p and 24p footage from a Canon T2i thrown in sometimes.  I don't mind shrinking my export down to 1280x720, but for my master I really want the cleanest possible video.
Any tips would really be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Anybody have any tips???
Here are the specs I have been using so far.
    Format: H.264
    NTSC, 1280x720, 29.97 [fps], Progressive
    AAC, 128 [kbps], 44.1khz, Stero
VBR, 2 Pass, Target 6.00, Max 8.00 [mbps]
    Widescreen 16:9
    Profile: high
    Level: 5.1
What I get is a file that's about 250megs for a 5-minute video that looks pretty clean.  What I'm really looking for is more like a 2.5gig file that's super clean.  Back when I was shooting SD, I would export an .avi file as my master that would run about 1gig or so for a 5-minute file.  I'm looking for a similar workflow now that I'm working in HD.
    Any ideas?

  • Premiere Pro CS3 export to FLV Youtube settings

I want to export from Premiere to FLV for Youtube. My understanding is that this is the best way to get high quality outcomes for Youtube. I have used Premiere a little but need help with the settings eg. Which preset do I use when starting a new file? (DV-2p, DV NTSC, DV PAL, etc) I also need settings for exporting the file with the media encoder. I know this is a lot to ask. I would be grateful for any help.
    Rich Gilman

    Hi,
presets for starting a new file
You mean a new project in Premiere ?  If so, match what the source material is....whatever your source is ( video characteristics ) is the settings for new project....make them the same....
Use the GSpot program or something like that to determine the source video characteristics
YouTube converts stuff to MP4 .....it will convert anything you upload to YouTube to MP4....and handles a lot of different formats that are uploaded OK.
It doesn't have to be FLV ( which is a Flash format )  It can be MP4 that you upload.
Once you figure out what your source video is and start a new project, that may determine the best format ( codec ) to use for exporting....
So, once you have that info and have got that far in your work flow....it would then be easier to help  you with export settings..

  • Best settings for web streaming

I made an 11 minute film in imovie. I want to put it on my website. I am told that loading it into Quicktime Pro, and then exporting it will give me lots of choices for settings, to optimize the quality and the speed for web viewing. A friend told me to use mp4 at 30 frame at 640 X 480 for acceptable quality. Youtube seems to agree with that. Unfortunately, The resultant quicktime export was a 74 mB file. That seems awfully large for the web. I also tried saving it directly from imovie as an "email", which doesn't allow any tweaking, and that version was 18 mB, and a bit small for web viewing.
This morning, I've looked through many posts here, but I can't find one place that gives clear opinions for settings for streaming video over the web. I realize there's a lot of choices, so opinions will differ. Nonethless, , but I'd really be happy to have just two or three choices, with all the Quicktime Pro settings spelled out for me. Can someone do that?
And lastly, what size — both file size and screen size — should I be using for this 11 minute web viewable film?

I have a similar problem with excessively large files resulting from use of the "export for web" function.
I have a range of self-contained quicktime movies averaging about 20MB in size. They are all encoded in MPEG4 or H264.
Exporting for "desktop" results in some files being over 75MB in size.

  • Exporting to PNG vs "Save for Web" in Illustrator CC

I am creating small logos for a website in Illustrator CC (one is 135px x 50px), and the quality of the output has been a bit sketchy: not blurry or pixelated, but the text is messy and uneven while previewing in Acrobat as part of a larger PDF, and when previewing the logo by itself (I also previewed it in a browser with HTML to get the same unclear image).
The images have been exported to PNG and JPG at 72 PPI.
When I experimented with the "save for web" option (File>Save for Web), voila! It fixed the issue! I noticed in the dialogue box for "Save for Web" that it saved as a PNG-24, an option not available to export (you can only export to PNG)
My question is: is there a difference between "save for web" and exporting that I should know about before I continue to save ALL my images via the "Save for web" option? It seems strange that the best way to save an image (PNG-24) wouldn't be an option under Export (you can only export to PNG). Why can't I export to PNG-24 in Illustrator?
    Thanks for any advice.

You can save with different color depth, export, it chooses automatically the higher depth when you choose transparent, and the lower depth when you choose a background color.

  • Exporting an animation using save for web

I am trying to export my animation as a GIF using save for web but when I try saving it gives me an error message saying: "Could not complete this operation. an unknown error has occurred." I am using Photoshop CC 2014.

I am on windows 8, The document is a PSD of course. It's a app UI animation using mostly smart objects and a timeline for the animations. My save options were:
    reduction algorithm: Selective
    Dither algorithm: pattern
    No transparency dither
    Color: 128
    Dither: (Blank)
    Matte: (Blank)
    Web snap: 0%
    Preview: Monitor color
    Metadata: Copyright and contact info

    Quality: Bicubic  smoother

  • Stair-stepping artifacts when exporting H.264 426x240 video for web

I'm trying to export a 16:9 video clip for web using H.264 compression at 426x240 resolution from compressor using square pixel aspect ratio. No matter what bit rate I set it at -- 600kbps-6,000kbps I still get these really jagged edges. Even though my source is DV, the original file does not have anything close to this; also I have never had this issue before. One other thing to note is that if I export at full resolution H.264 -- 640x360, I don't get any stair-stepping.
Here is a frame grab of the video with the problem:
    http://salsunproductions.com/misc/crapy_artifacts-h264-frame.jpg
You can download a video clip of it here (data rate is around 600-700kbps):
    http://salsunproductions.com/misc/crapy_artifacts-h264.mov
I'm also noticing some sort of horizontal lines in the artifacts?? This is progressive scan footage shot on a DVX100B 24pA (and captured properly w/2:3:3:2 pull down removal, the original file doesn't have this)
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. This is getting really annoying having to export huge files...
    PS: I'm using Compressor v3.0.2

It could be some scaling artifact. Make your stream progressive using frame controls (stay away from the best setting) and that should help.

  • BASIS settings for Web Dynpro ABAP

    Hi Team,
I need to know of settings required (configuration) for Web Dynpro ABAP. Please help me on this. Please also let me know of how these settings can be implemented.
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi Amit
First you have to check the domain, if it is not maintained then maintain the domain in your operating system.
To do this, follow below path :
-- Right click on My Computer >> Computer Name tab >> Click Change >> Click More >> Enter your domain name in the format u201Ccompanyname.comu201D in the section Primary DNS Suffix of this computer
    u2013 Click OK
And then go to your SAP to set "icm/host_name_full" in transaction RZ10.
Choose your Instance profile, click on Extended Maintenance and then click on the Change button
As "icm/host_name_full" is not present for you, add it by using the New parameter button
set the value to <hostname>.companyname.com (hostname can be seen through transaction RZ11).
Save and activate your profile and after that restart the R/3 server to take effect.
Hope this will solve your issue.
    Regards
    Brillion
