FCP X 10.1.1 Update. No compound or multicam clips in new updated library

I have a lot of projects with multicam clips. I have just updated to FCP X 10.1.1. I have updated one of my projects/events to the new library feature. The issue i am having is that my compound & multicam clips dont come in with the new update. Therefore any of my projects with multiclips are offline and I have no idea how to get it back. I'm not panicing as I have all my projects backed up but I do want to use the new features in the update but it is frustrating that I cant seem to get my multicamclips into my library.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi, Ben and thanks for the response.
Unfortunately, that doesn't work either. I tried "Show Package Contents" first and then navigated to the project I had shared. But when I use the drop down arrow to find where the "Shared Items" folder was prior to the update, it's just not there.
I'm kind of at a loss here on how I should approach it. The YouTube sharing stopped working some time ago and despite reading through countless boards about what to do, nothing seems to work. In addition, the "Shared Items" folder is no longer contained within the projects folder inside the libraries that were created after updating.
Any other ideas? All I get when I show package contents of a library and open a folder for a specific project is a file with the name "CurrentVersion.fcpevent" and some older projects have "Backups" and "Old Versions" folders, but no "Shared Items."

Hi Christianjr,
When you say you reset your network settings, what do you mean, exactly?
I saw another post on this issue, and the poster indicated that they resolved the problem by turning off their cellular date option and wifi options in Settings, and then turned them back on.
Also, resetting your phone may help - press the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold both down until the Silver Apple appears. Once it is back up, click on the update option and see if it fixes the problem.
If none of those things work, then need to have details on what you did to reset your network settings....

UPDATE GONE BAD! I ran the new update and my phone only has a picture of a USB and the I Tunes Music note? I plug it in and it says I must restore to the original setting losing everything? Is there hope?

Yes I had the same problem with my iPhone 4. What I did was connected my phone to my computer. itunes popes up and said that they have discovered a iphone in recovery mode. it asked if i wanted to update and restore. I clicked yes and it download the ios6 update on iTunes on my computer and then did the update on my phone through that. I got the same message and I thought that I would lose everything too, but I did not.

I thought maybe I am not suppose to have the Creative Cloud update because all I have is the individual app Muse and the photography program. So I uninstalled the CC desktop. Then when I open Muse it says I need the CC desktop to help with the update. So I get stopped either way. Now I also had a Pre-Release Muse on my computer and I don't know if that complicated things. Please advise.

All future installs/updates of Muse (and most other Adobe apps) are through the Creative Cloud desktop app. Thus you do need to have it installed.
Are you on Windows or Mac? What OS version?

When will there be a new update?

I just purchased two Xperia Mini Pro phones.
I really like the phones and it said the updated to ICS is avaible right after connecting them to a PC.
The problem is that I read some topics here before deciding on upgrading and the missing or none working notification light is no go for me.
The whole reason I purchased Sony phones where because they had light notifications and most phones don´t. That and of course other features I like, like excellent camera and small phones. If you happen to receive important notifications you can´t check the phone every 5 minute when you leave the desk. Not being able to see notifications blinking its just a disaster. And Sony says this is to save battery? Honestly do you think this saves like hours of battery? I don´t think so and the feature is more important than anything else on a phone, if you leave the phone for a while or are in a noise enviroment its all you have to check something new is coming your way.
I also read the camera is slow and has problems. Its pretty clear that Google has fixed most of this issues in Jelly Bean, you can´t see almost any new features but because most of the work is behind in the core, its called project butter for a reason. To make the ICS run as smoth as possible.
Would it not be smart for Sony to jump to Jelly Bean to fix the performance and most issues on this phones? That is maybe asking to much but at least if they can make ICS run stable.
My phones says there is an update available 4.1.B.0.431.
So I just denied the updates, until a new one comes, one that fixes the current issues.
I know its just to recent since Sony started to roll ICS, so bugs are expected. But I really hope they keep sending fixed and patches to make run as smoth without killing phone basic features like notifications, performance, camera, etc.

You mean on the phone or where? Sorry, I just got the phones.
From the phone itself it says there is no update. From the PC Companion it says there is a new version 4.1.B.0.431. available. I did not even set the language on phones, so there is really absolutely nothing on it. A full OS upgrade would be the smart thing to do.
But since I read most people have a slower experience on ICS, im really confused. If I had this phone months before of course I would just used what was available, but since I have both options now, what comes as stock and the update im a limbo about my decision. And since the update is very, very new. I could also say, give Sony a few weeks or months to get things right and then upgrade.
I don´t know why some people talk so great about ICS vs Gingerbread because what I see now on the phones is just amazing and very nice. I don´t see how it can be even better. Of course if performance is going to be an issue I prefer to wait. I don´t the phones now. I have my current phone so I can just put them on the box and wait until a stable release is available.

You have both your older iWork apps and the newer Maverick apps on your computer.
The new Maverick apps are in the Applications folder.
The older iWork apps are in the Applications/iWork folder.
Of the two, the older iWork apps are more useful so don't throw them out.

The latest update for LR 4 is version 4.4.1, you can download the appropriate install package from the links above.
Unfortunately support for the Nikon Df was only included with LR 5.3, so the options are.
1. Upgrade to LR 5.
2. Utilize the free Adobe DNG Converter (the latest version is 8.8) to convert the nef files to DNG format and import the dng files into Lightroon 4. Good idea to retain your original raw files and do appropriate investigation into the uses of the DNG format.

OS X Snow Leopard Update Software not displaying new updates

Sorry in advance for any spelling or grammar errors, English is not my native language, and I am only 14 as well.
So my problem is, Is that I recently lost my HDD due to a laptop fall and I have replaced it with a SSD. But the problems didn't arise until I reinstalled iLife '11. I use iLife A LOT, Mainly GarageBand for important music production,
Now, Since iLife doesn't come with most of the instruments, I used ASU (Apple Software Update) And it said no updates, so I went into GarageBand, and tapped update from there, and I got the same thing. So I later went into Airport Utility, It said I needed a update, it took me to software update, and I got the same "No new updates" message.
Not sure if it helps, probably makes matters worse, but in System Settings > Software Updates > Installed Software, there is "iLife Support" and 'iLife '11"
The computer I am on:
MacBook Pro Early 2006 15-inch
Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard
1.83GHz Intel Core Duo
2GB RAM
Radeon X1600M
128GB Sandisk SSD

Try installing the 10.6.8 Combo update which contains all the latest updates for that OS. Be aware that there appears to be no further support for Snow Leopard.

If you have done it before it will do no harm. Indeed it is known to repair some minor blemishes in your system.

When new update for 17.1.A.1.2?

I was reading that there are many issues with the touchscreen. Sony won't tell us whether this is a hardware issue or not, but as I heard they are trying to fix this with some updates. When do we get some new updates? On the Z2 Tablet page I still only see version 17.1.A.1.2 (2014-03-21)

New update tonight killed my iMac! Ugh!

Computer has been working fine, Apple update came up and pointed out three new updates for the new iMac including general fixes and keyboard enhancements.
Did them and restart..now the white screen of death! Did hard boots, power off boots..unplugged everything and booted. Still white screen of death.
Is this the Mac answer to windows blue screen of death?
This is highly annoying! Any ideas?

.. and by the way, the jump from FCP 6.0.3 to FCP 7.0 (or higher) isn't an "update" It's a full version "upgrade" that has to be done using the install discs (or disc images).

Have you checked to see whether the App Store appis hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'on' ?

How does Apple test new updates?

Getting a new MBP to use with FCP X, and have been reading about problems on both forums regarding latest updates. Just wondered if anyone knows how Apple tests an update before releasing it. It seems like a lot of the problems folks have with updates are remedied by doing fresh install of the original software. So, does Apple try out update on a pristine computer with fresh install of original software, or on a computer that's been used while and might be bit fragmented, or what?

How have people been doing with the new update?

It says that the update "...improves overall stability and performance...". Just curious, as I have been privy to emails everytime someone responded to the "Is anyone's FCP X not crashing on a consistant basis" thread, and have noticed that a lot of people have had many stability problems. How is everyone doing with the new update? Does it seem to help?

Just gets better and better .... FCP x didn't like the "Tutorial Event" being open as per the dialogue in my previous post so I moved it out of the events folder and then restarted FCP x ....
This is what I get now .... GUFFAW!!!!
All I did was restart FCP x ..... ???? GUFFAW!!! In version 73.66 they will then display the "Invalid argument" so I know what the he ll they are talking about. Did all the programmers go on vacation when Jobs resigned?
