FCP2 will not install past "running package scripts"
I'm trying to install FCP2 on OS 10.6.8 and the install window freezes after it reads "running package scripts". Help!

I have WIN XP PRO with SP3. This is a new machine and is running beautifully except Adobe Reader 8 or 9 will not install.
At about 94% done the Adobe Download manager stops and shows the following Windows Installer message
The installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Package.
Of course when I click OK. I get the message from the downloader that "Installation operation completed successfully". Which of course is not true.

Your solution to unregister and register msiexec did not resolve the problem, but it got me thinking and I continued looking down this line of thought through the Microsoft KB articles. There I found a comment per security rights authorization. I had been using an account with administrator rights, but I tried again using the actual administrator account. This worked fine. Adobe 9 is installed and running.

try to check your task manager and go to processes tab if outlook is listed... if it is highlight the process and click end task.

My PSC11 will not install and run
I have tried to re-install PSC11 numerous times on my windows 7 desktop and can't get it to run. The load seems to go okay and I have my serial # from when I purchased it and registered it. When i click on the desktop icon to run the program, I get a message saying it cannot run the app. the message fault is APPCRASH and I have done everything I know. No other problems with my computer. Malware and virus free. I intend to purchase another brand photo editor, because Adobe will not help resolve this issue. I posted here yesterday, and that is too long to wait for help on your product.

Sorry you're having trouble, but just so you know, it's not "our" product. We're all just other customers like you; this is the user to user forum, not adobe technical support. I didn't reply because I don't have a clue, and I daresay that's true for those of the other regulars who happened to see your post. -

The dowload of firfox will not move past the run screen
I have been trying to install Firefox to my desktop. The dowload will not progress past the run screen. There is no set up. I successfully installed on my second computer so I am confused.

I am having a issue installing Adobe Acrobat XI. I am running Windows 8.1. When go to install it gets an error. The error is with transform in registry and will not install product. I am looking at how I can fix this registry problem.

Sylonious, did you manage to sort this problem out? I have been experiencing similar problems. I think my problem was because I had many different versions of JDKs. I have done a complete re-install. I would be really grateful to you (and anyone else) for help with this problem.
I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.

I have a new iPod Touch 5th gen. My computer works on Windows 7. Latest ITunes gives me this message: "this ipod can't be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes then install the 64 bit version of iTunes." I have already removed and reinstalled a couple of times--making sure to remove all the related applications as well--Bonjour, Apple Software update, Apple Application Support. Help!

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, does your device connect without that message now? -
I have an iMac that I am running OSX 10.8.3 on. I keep trying to install 10.8.4 but it will not install. I tried updating and installing several times and it restarts the computer but it will not install the software. My machine is about 8 months old so, it's in the newish range. HELP!
Sometimes the App Store version doesn't work correctly. In this case, install 10.8.4 with the Combo version > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
The Combo installer is the safest way to update OS X, and it allows you to update more than one computer with a single download -

My 13 inch Macbook pro w retina will not install/download OS X Mavericks because it says I do not have the requirements in order to install it. You can't install the App Store version of Mavericks because your model needs a special version. If you ever need to reinstall it, boot into Recovery.
