Fcpx 10.1 locks crashes my computer
Have installed Mavericks and FCPX 10.1 on an empty disk. First everything seemed to work out fine. Importing events and projects for a job worked but on the timeline the red unlinked warning showed up on some clips. Turning of activated filters did the job but but after restarting FCPX the filters are activated again. FCPX seem to not remember all operations.
The other problem is that after working just 10 to 15 minutes or less the hole computer locks not only FCPX. Have to restart the computer. The same thing happens again and again. No rendering going on. Just skimming timeline.
The third problem is that I get vertical lines in picture as the videofiles where corupt but when I play it again it occur somewhere else or not at all (playing the same file). I use Caldigit VR external disks. No problem before.

My MuVo Micro Crashes My Computer and Locks Up - HELP
I just got a Creative 52MB MuVo? Micro N200 for christmas. I just learned how to rip tracks from a CD and transfer it into the player. However, I tried this twice and both times it totally crashed my computer (total lock up in blue screen saying it couldn't write to the dri've for my player - had to turn off the power to turn off the computer) and locked up the player. Both times, I was transferring several (about 5) songs at one time. It it said that all the songs were complete except the last one. Then it kind of hung up. It wouldn't even let me eject the dri've because it said it was still transferring files. Then the computer crashed. Afterward, the player wouldn't even turn on. I had to take the battery out and put it back it in. The songs I had transferred made it into the player okay.
My computer is about 3-4 years old. It is an HP Pavilion with a celeron processor and I upgraded the RAM to 320 MBs. I am connecting to the player through a USB hub. I run the ZoneAlarm firewall and the AVG anti-virus program and I keep both up to date. Another weird thing that happens is that every time I connect the player to the computer, my webshots (a free screensaver and wallpaper picture program) program organizer starts up.
Does anyone have any ideas for how to fix this?ME is the worst!
With installing my zen xtra software it completely deleted my registry..... I install it on my xp comp, it works fine..... the only problem is that all my music is on my ME comp..... im not going to split the files and put all of them on floppys..... i have AVG too..... I wonder if it causes it!
I hate Windows ME..... it was even deemed the worst OS ever by tech tv!
It could be the firmware, even the media player drivers..... I cant test the media player idea, as soon as i install it it kills my computer..... but i installed new firmware and it stopped freezing ( The zen xtra ) -
So I tried to update to the newest Itunes. It locked up my computer part way thru the install. Black screen, computer turned itself off. Now anytime i try to do anything with Itunes it shuts my computer down. I can start up fine in safe mode but when i try to uninstall from there, Itunes doesn't exist. the other apple programs do, but no itunes. when i try to uninstall the other programs in safe mode it tells me it can't because the windows installer isn't loaded. I have system restored to over a month ago and itunes still doesn't show up in add/remove programs. however, i can open itunes. it just tells me a file didn't get installed and to uninstall and reinstall. So, how do i remove a progam that doesn't think it exists and crashes my computer when i try to do anything related to it??? I'm out of ideas. running windows vista.
I think my problem is fixed now.
For the fun of it, I reinstalled iTunes 9.2.1 today (using the exact same installer as I did yesterday), but this time I didn't uninstall iTunes first. As expected, iTunes recognized my iPhone (as I expected it to, until my next reboot).
A few minutes later, Software Update showed up and among the updates is "iPhone SDK Compatibility Update". The description indicates that installing this should fix an issue where iPhones and iPod touches aren't recognized by iTunes. Isn't that interesting?
I installed that update and most of the others waiting for me (including Java, Safari 5.0.1, and a few others - not 10.6.4 though, due to the issues with nVidia graphics cards). After the reboot, I started iTunes, and it saw my iPhone!
So, if you're having this same problem, I'd recommend tracking down this update and see if that does the trick for you. Hopefully it will. -
Photoshop CS6 locks up the computer while doing a few things.
I have been battling this issue since I installed CS6 on this machine. I have been able to reproduce this lock up consistantly using the Lighting Effects, and I can also get it to lock up while using the Lasso tool, and also setting guides, but those are less consistant. I have tried to switch the advanced graphics options around too. It is currently on normal though. I currently have the GeForce Drivers v. 320.14 installed, which at the time of this post is the most rtecent stable build. I have followed basically every post or suggestion I could find on the web to solve this issue, but nothing works as of yet. I have even gone so far as to try every GeForce driver from 295.73 to 320.14 with no luch at resolution. Some of the drivers let me get a little further with the lighting effects, but still eventually lock up the computer... Currently I have had to uninstall Photoshop and then re-install it just to get PDF export to work right, but even after updating to the newest version of PS, I still get these lockups.
Please let me know what I am missing here.

My FCPX 10.0.8 crashes every time within 10 seconds of it being opened. HELP?
Hi Guys,
I have a MAC V10.9.4 and my FCPX 10.0.8 crashes every time I open it and lasts about 10 seconds. I am making a video reel so there are a lot of different types of videos in it and chopped up into smaller scenes to create a collage of my achievements. Now halfway through, I can't complete it because it keeps crashing and it super annoying because I have a few days to complete.

Flash Player keeps crashing my computer
I got an auto update of Flash Player 10.3.183.7. Right after this update when i went to a site running flash the page would freeze, and i couldn't do anything
because everything was froze. After about 30 seconds i get the blue screen it says flash player plugin container is the cause. It dose this on any page running flash. I uninstalled and reinstalled, that did not help at all. I turned the hardware accelerator to none, like i read in adobe forum, this didn't help ether.
I tried to go back to the version before this, but when i go to a site with flash, it says i need the most current version of flash player. a few times it froze i was able to open the task manager and the flash player plug-in container was maxing out the CPU, and the memory.
I have a AMD Phenom II X4 quad core 3.5 GHz, and 8GB memory, windows XP SP3, Nivida GeForce 260GTX OC HD video card. I'm using Firefox 6.0.1
This also happens when i use Internet Explorer 8.0.6 I first thought this was a browser problem i was using Firefox 3.6.18
I currently have Flash Player uninstalled. So How do I stop this from crashing my computer?I'm also having problems with Flash Player version 10.3.183.7, in the past day or so. Also using Firefox 6.0.2, though I've since tried this with the Standalone Player, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I'm using Windows XP 32-bit. I also tried downloading archived flash player versions (9 and 10.1) and they had similar problems.
Most flash applications will cause the browser to lock up, sometimes temporarily and sometimes permanenely (having to close it through the Windows Task Manager). In the case where the browser does not permanently lock up, the flash application stops playing within the first 2-3 frames.

When I try to render my project, it's twenty-one minutes, it locks up my computer. Everything freezes. I have to reboot.
I read thru alot of the search files and haven't found anything that I think applies.
I'm running FCP5 on a G4 1.25, 2 gigs of ram. All media is on a separate drive.
The project was captured from VHS so I had no time code.
I have checked my setup for capturing and sequences and they match.
I have dumped the preferences, repaired permission and even verified the disk.
What am I overlooking?

Select the clips for half the sequence and Render Selection. If it crashes, reboot and select the other half and Render Selection. If either selection renders w/o crashing, then you might have a corrupt media file in the other half. Keep narrowing the selection by half until you locate it. -
CC aplications go to white screen and lock up the computer when switching between apps
We have been successfully using CC for several months, then about 30 days ago suddenly when we tried to switch apps between dreamweaver, and Photoshop the computer went to a White screen and froze. This problem is completely repeatable, and we are at a complete loss to correct the problem. Any ideas? It doesnt do this when you switch withing Bridge and Photoshop, but with anythign else,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, CRASH!!
I am unable to get into the chat. I tried explorer and chrome and neither will allow us to access the chat. It continues to go around and around.

Firefox crashes MY COMPUTER!!! When I open it, my computer BLUE SCREENS then turns off!!!
Within the past few months, I have not been able to use Firefox at all. It started crashing my whole computer, making the whole thing go blue screen before shutting down, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it TWICE, the second time sacrificing ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS, and even after that, it STILL CRASHED MY COMPUTER! My college professors prefer that I use this browser to do my WebCT assignments (and *tests*) and I have been unable to do so.

Flash player crashes my computer when used . . . please help!
the newest versions of flash player required for use in you tube and hulu crash my computer and causes it to reboot. I'm using windows xp home edition 32 bit, have updated my drivers, and have tried to use several different versions of the flash player 10( installing the other versions first), as well as trying to use it in internet explorer 8, firefox 5, and google chrome. The computer does not crash unless the flash player is in use. I have tried everything I can think of, to no avail. This problem did not happen UNTIL I was forced to udate the flash player to the latest version in order to watch Hulu and you tube due to their requirements. PLEASE HELP!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Or maybe:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Ipod Nano frozen, and appears to be crashing my computer when I plug it in
After owning my ipod nano for a whopping two hours, and playing a total of two songs on it, the nano froze. I attempted to select music based on album, hit play, and it froze on that position. It doesnt dim or power down after awhile or anything.
I hooked it up to my machine and tried to start itunes, and it would not start. Later, I started itunes by itself after rebooting the machine. Plugging it in after the fact causes no change on the screen (still frozen) and itunes never acknolwedges that an ipod has been plugged in.
I read the instructions, and know that supposedly, according to the instructions, holding down the mouse wheel for five to ten seconds, or flicking the hold switch will reset the ipod.
Unfortunately it doesnt.
I'm really, really regretting this purchase. Anybody know what I should do?To clarify it only crashed my computer once, but did seem to actually prevent itunes from starting.

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard on both of my computers.
Some time ago, one crashed my computer and I had to reinstall the operating system and all applications.
After I had installed once Acrobat 9 Sdt in the computer, I wanted to update the software version 9.0.0 update to the same level as it was before the crash and that the other computer has version named 9.5.5.
The system for update from version 9.0.0 does not work at all. "There are no updates" listed in the dialog.
Can you advise how I get my Adobo Acrobat 9 Standard (Version 9.0.0) could be updated to the same level as the computer had before the crash.ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/9.x/

ITunes is crashing my computer
Hi, I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with my problem. My laptop crashes everytime I open iTunes. Once iTunes load, my computer starts to lag pretty bad until it totally crashes. The only thing I could do is to hold my laptop's power button until it completely shuts down. I'm using a Vaio VPCEA12EG, running on Windows 7 Home Basic 64-Bit.
iTunes used to work just fine on my laptop. I just started to notice this problem when I played an mp3 song one day, prompting it to load on iTunes, thus crashing my computer. Once it crashed, I thought that maybe it was just an isolated case since it was just the first time it happened. Then, a few days later, I plugged in my sister's iPod shuffle. It then crashed my computer again for loading iTunes. My sister was resquesting for me to load songs on her iPod so I was forced to keep trying, and much to my surprise, iTunes kept on crashing my computer.
I tried uninstalling iTunes (trying uninstall-install method), but it also ends up crashing my laptop. It just gets stuck on "Configuring iTunes. 31 seconds remaining." So basically, I CAN'T uninstall iTunes from my system. I'm planning to get an iPhone 4 soon and I can't afford not to be able to use iTunes on my own laptop.
Here's a summarized background of my problem:
1. iTunes used to work on my laptop.
2. One day, it just stopped working. iTunes crashes my computer everytime I try to use it:
*When I double-click/open the program.
*When I sync an Apple product.
*When I open a music file with iTunes.
3. The only thing I could do after iTunes crashes my computer is to hold the power button until my computer completely shuts off.
4. I tried uninstalling it, but it ALSO crashes my computer. Bottomline, I couldn't remove iTunes from my computer.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem? I hope someone can help me with this problem. I'm at my wits end as I can't even uninstall iTunes from my system. Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Hi, mtglenwright. I was able to solve this problem. What I did was I uninstalled iTunes, then installed it again. But the catch is that it always crash the computer, right? What worked for me is that I LEFT THE COMPUTER ALONE UNTIL IT FINISHED THE UNINSTALLING.

The important thing is that you should leave your computer alone until it finishes each process. For example, when you click uninstall, just leave your computer alone until it finishes! As in DO NOT USE YOUR COMPUTER FOR ANYTHING. Do not use it to surf the net, do not use it to play solitaire, do not even move your mouse! It will take a LONG time. I actually left my computer overnight. When I woke up, I saw that it was able to uninstall iTunes! If you use your computer while you are uninstalling iTunes, your computer will most likely crash. I suggest that you do this at night when you absolutely don't need to use your computer for anything.
Anyway, this is what worked for me. I hope it will also work on your computer. Good luck! -
