FCPX 10.1 stuck on opening
My final cut is stuck on the opening screen saying that it is "restoring the window layout". I was using it earlier this morning for a small project and have moved on to a project with a library that has a lot of elements and "projects" in it. Now it is just frozen on opening and will not load up for anything. When I tried quiting out the program and opening another "library" it has the same results (probaby because it is still trying to load up the large project)
I know there is a way to restore Final Cut to default but don't know how to do it. Help would be appreciated

I suggest downloading Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager and using it to delete your preferences.
If that doesn't solve the crashes, create a test library by holding down the option key when you launch FCP X and see whether it is possible to work normally in that library.

Nokia 5320 - Gallery stuck on "Opening"
Since yesterday the phone keeps getting stuck on "Opening" when I get in any of the galleries (Photos, Videos, Animations, etc.), and when I try to access any of the multimedia content via /Config/General/Personalization, and stuff like that. The only way to access it its through File Administration. It gets a little slow opening the pics and videos, but get the job done.., however, it isn't the same thing.
Any thoughts on how can I fix it? I has been driving me madyes you can format the card

Need urgent help on Sawtooth stucked at Open Firmware screen
Hello.
I've got a G4 Graphite Sawtooth Powermac running a Newertech MaxPower 2.0MHZ processor upgrade for about 3 years. It is running Leopard (10.5.8) system.
I've also installed a Seritek 1S2 card with a 500GB Sata disk.
Some days ago I've started to notice that sometimes when I did Log Off or Shut down the Mac cleaned all the desktop icons but then nothing happens.
Also, it started to freeze sometimes doing some tasks like open apps or working on Photoshop.
Today the Mac refused to boot on the main system disk (I have a secondary 80GB disk with Tigger installed on it).
Then I ran TechTool Pro Disck scan and it gave me an error on scanning the main disk.
I've booted into the Tiger disk (a 80GB one) and think to myself if this could be something to do with the Seriteck card or driver, or something related to it...
I've loaded the Seritek install CD and click the install firmware of the Seriteck disk, then I've booted and... it stucked on Open Firmware forever.
It is on the welcome screen of the open firmware and I can't do anything.
It says" To continue booting, type "mac-boot" and press return", but I can't type anything because it looks freezed. My keyboard don't respond.
I've tryed the firmware boot (that one with the long beep pressing the programmer button) at no avail.
I'm desesperate. I'm a freelancer and I've goot importante work to deliver to clients and I can't get my Mac to to boot into the system.
At this point I just want to boot normally into Tiger, Leopard, whatever.
I just need to boot and recover my works.

MacjaimeI ran TechTool Pro Disk scan and it gave me an error on scanning the main disk.
If you did a "Surface Scan", and not a "Volume Structures Repair", it is telling you there is a Bad Block on the Hard Drive.
There are two cases: It could be temporary, or it could be permanent. There are two sub-cases of each: It could be important or it could be unimportant.
When you run the test, and it tells you the Surface Scan has detected an error, you are supposed to ask it figure out what file is involved, and write it down. Then you can decide whether to delete that file and replace it with a good copy.
Bad blocks may mean your drive will not be working properly in six months, if you continue to use it full time. It could also die this afternoon -- no one knows. If you can re-initialize with Zero all Data (one pass) the drive will substitute some of its stash of spare blocks for any that remain bad after the zeroing. But of course all your data will be lost, and it takes a few hours to complete.
Some readers suggest that a drive that has had spare blocks substituted may last a long time at light duty, such as making an occasional backup.
The only article that comes up with a search for "default catch" has to do with drives that are really wacked out. It suggests you back up everything and re-initialize the drive. -
Stuck to opening .pages with textedit as default
hello guys, after upgrading to snow leopard from leopard, i am stuck with opening .pages document with textedit. i tried to change it in "*get info*" but it doesn't work, it stick with texteedit as the default application.

Aperture 3.3.2 doesn't start, stuck in "Opening ..." window
Aperture 3.3.2 (latest) doesn't start, gets stuck on "Opening {name}" window. Tried all three available library recovery options (from Option+Command start window). Any ideas welcome.
It appears to be a bug. I have it on my most-used Library, but not on others. Waiting for an update to fix it.
Reporting the bug to Apple may help hasten the process of fixing it. Use "Aperture➞Provide Aperture Feedback". -
While I was browsing the internet my mac said that Macintosh HD can not be used, I restarted it and now it is stuck in open firmware and at the top of the screen it says user-abort. What should I do?
It seems that your HD has got some defective sectors and the OS can't read the data which is needed to continue.
Is it still the original HD?
If your're running OS9 you can use utilities like Norton utilities to fix your disc if you don't plan to reinstall the OS. -
Dock stuck behind open windows
My dock suddenly seems to be getting stuck behind windows that I open. For instance, if I turn hiding on, and then maximize a Safari window, the dock pops up behind the window.
I've trashed the com.apple.dock.plist file and logged out, which re-set my dock, but it still is stuck behind open windows.
Any suggestions?Dang. My apologies for missing the obvious!
I doubt it will make any difference, since logging out and back in should be equivalent, but does it help any to force-quit and relaunch the Dock? See this link. -
Touchpad Adobe Reader stuck at opening screen
Hi,
I downloaded the update for adobe reader version 10.3.351 and now the reader is stuck at the opening screen. I have tried opening my pdf files through quickoffice, restarted the touchpad and nothing seems to work. WebOS doctor is not giving me any solutions as well. Does anyone have any other suggestions.

After using webOS doctor you would have logged back into your webOS account and reloaded you apps to your device, this would have reloaded Adobe 10.3.351 which is the latest version of the app.
Adobe 10.3.351 is the latest version available and is working fine on other Touchpad devices including my own. I am not sure why it would be hanging on your device. Have you installed Preware? If so did you install this back to your device after webOS doctor? -
After stop using bootcamp my Macbook Pro always stuck when open.
A week ago I had decided to stop using Windows Vista through Boot Camp because I ran out hard disk spaces and I think Windows Vista has no long necessary for me, so I go to Utilities and go Boot Camp Assistant to deleted my Windows Vista. after I deleted my Windows every time I shut down my Mac and open up again it always stuck with black screen and asked (.....to press any keys) and I did but nothing happen and sometime it stuck with empty white screen, to open up my Mac without any problems I need to hold down the Option keyboard when I start up my Mac and wait until the Mac OS Disk show up and select then it will be okay.
Please tell me what should I do to avoid this problems every time I start up my Mac without keep holding Option key.Check the setting in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.

After iOS 8.3 update, apps stuck on OPEN on App Store Updates page
Did the iOS 8.3 update by backing up my iPad Mini in iTunes then doing a "Restore". I did that with the last update and all went fine. This time, it appears to have gone well except that I had some apps that had updates pending after the Restore. After doing the updates, when I go to the App Store "Updates" page, I still have 4 of my apps listed there with the button option set to OPEN. On the upper right corner it says "Updated August 18, 2015". Yesterday when I did the update was Saturday April 25, 2015 - go figure. When I tap them they all open but they never leave the page. One post said to wait until an app had a valid update pending and see what happens after I update it, so I'll need to wait to see if that works. I have searched this community and tried all suggestions: changed the date set to manual and push it out over 30 days. That did not work. Did a reset. No luck. I even did another "Restore" thinking maybe that would resolve it, but they came right back. The puzzling thing is that in all of my searching, I have found apps stuck in differing states of "waiting" or "downloading", but none of them have mentioned seeing the apps with the OPEN option visible. I did delete the apps and that made them go away, but I'd prefer to keep them. Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance...slog
If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, read this. -
Whenever I click the Bookmarks tab in the menu bar up top to select one of my saved bookmarks, when scrolling down over folders to get to the link I want, the mouse catches over a folder (opening it) and doesnt let you continue scrolling down to other items under the opened folder - It gets stuck. The only way to get out of the opened folder is to scroll back up to get rid of it and scroll quickly down again in order to get the link I want below the folders without opening them.
Small correction to original post. Machine is an iMac 2.4ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. (I was at home when I made the first post.) But the bookmarks menu behavior still exists today and FF 5 is essentially unusable.
System details next to the post are not for machine with the bug in question.
Found a copy of FF4 to use until a solution is found. Turned off automatic updates to preserve this version. -
FCPX keeps crashing when I open it
It started crashing when I imported movie files and it crasehd when I tried to import it. Now it loads and opens and after a few seconds, it crashes. During the few seconds, I managed to delete the event containing some of the files I tried to import and now FCPX stays open a little longer, but eventually crashes when I just leave it open (I don't need to press anything to make it crash). Photoshop stuck when opening image with camera raw after updating it
Hi!I need help guys.I updated camera raw to 6.1 (i have cs5);now in camera raw preferences i specified to automatically open every jpeg and tiff files with settings (i don't know what is the english language equivalent of that option) and if i try to open a jpeg now after the update photoshop gets stuck and i have to close it via CTRL+ALT+C
Some help??Ok, so this is actually a Wacom driver problem( I'm using Intuos 4). If I turn off windows ink in Wacom driver settings then my sliders in camera raw become responsive again, but I lose pressure sensitivity in PS. Just updated Wacom drivers, but no joy. Anybody have a work around/fix?

Preview gets stuck when opening a picture
Hi everyone,
Everytime I open photo's via "preview" in Dutch it is called "voorvertoning" so I don't know exactly if the English word is ok for that.
But everytime I open the standard picture viewer on my macbook air it gets stuck. My whole macbook stops working and wants to send reports to Apple. Even safari stops working. Also finder is totally stuck at that moment. I'd have to restart (only pushing the on/off button works then, because manually via the menu bar is also not possible then anymore). There is no way I get it working again, no hard stop or whatever you call that, nothing...
Is there a way I can fix this, because it starts to really annoy me.

AnnBack up all data. Quit Preview if it's running.
Hold down the option key and select Go ▹ Library from the Finder menu bar. From the Library folder, delete the following items, if they exist:
Containers/com.apple.Preview
Containers/com.apple.quicklook.ui.helper
Group Containers/com.apple.Preview
Preferences/com.apple.Preview.LSSharedFileList.plist
Preferences/com.apple.Preview.SandboxedPersistentURLs.LSSharedFileList.plist
Saved Application State/com.apple.Preview.savedState
Log out and log back in. Launch the application and test.

Just installed Red Giant Trapcode Suite, now AE CC will no longer import or recognize jpeg files?
