FDF import/export not for every PDF available

Hello,
I am using Adobe Reader X 10.1.2 and I have used it to create corrections on PDFs via comment functionality. To avoid big data amounts I want to use the FDF export/import. This was already possible on several PDF documents, but is not possible on every PDF document. What kind of conditions are necessary to allow the FDF import/export?
Regards
Dieter

Hello,
I only found one functionable, where export is available and there is a menu Extensions available too. I have seen, that this document was created by Acrobat Distiller.
The idea is, if there is one original PDF, where several user have to make corrections, that every user has just to supply his correction-FDF, and in the end we still have the untouched PDF (which can be big) and many FDFs as correction files, which include all the comments.

Dieter

  • Unable to set "Fit one full page to window" as scrolling default for every PDF

I am trying to retain "Fit one full page to window" as default for every PDF so that when I open a document and scroll down once, it scrolls to the next full page, rather than chunks.  I then need to manually select the option from the menu bar, after which it functions properly. When I change the Default Layout and Zoom to "Fit Page", it merely changes the zoom factor; it doesn't enable the scrolling setting.  Is this no longer an option with Acrobat X? I recall being able to do so with previous versions.
I've even tried doing this manually for each PDF by going to File>Properties and setting the initial view similarly.  This didn't work, though even if it did it would be too impractical based on how many PDFs I read on a given day.

I've been hoping for an answer to this for awhile.  There's really annoying, since one would logically think "Default Layout and Zoom" under the page display contains that setting.  Yes, it will affect the zoom, but it has no effect on whether or not the "Fit one full page to window" option is actually selected.
Every time I open a PDF, I have to click that icon, which gets super frustrating since I work with dozens of user manuals every day looking for spare parts, etc.
I really hope someone can answer this.

  • ABAP for Super Dumps: Import- & Export-Parameter for a Table in a FM

    Hello ABAP Profs,
    sorry I am BW.
<b>Import- & Export-Parameter for a Table in and out of an Function Modul.</b>
I want to import a table into a Function Module, change it and export it again.

    hi,
A simple example of ABAP memory is using the EXPORT/IMPORT statements.
Here in this program, I get the data, export it to memory,
clear out the internal table in my progam, then reimport the data into it and write out the data.
You probably wounldn't do this in a normal program,
but this is how you can pass data from program a to program b when A Submits program B.
    report zxy_0002 .
data: it001 type table of t001 with header line.
    select * into table it001 from t001.
    export it001 = it001 to memory id 'ZXY_TEST'.
    clear it001. refresh it001.
    import it001 = it001 from memory id 'ZXY_TEST'.
    loop at it001.
    write:/ it001-bukrs, it001-butxt.
    endloop.
    SAP Memory
SAP memory is a memory area to which all main sessions within a SAPgui have access.
You can use SAP memory either to pass data from one program to another within a session,
or to pass data from one session to another.
Application programs that use SAP memory must do so using SPA/GPA parameters (also known as SET/GET parameters).
These parameters can be set either for a particular user
or for a particular program using the SET PARAMETER statement.
Other ABAP programs can then retrieve the set parameters using the GET PARAMETER statement.
The most frequent use of SPA/GPA parameters is to fill input fields on screens
    ABAP/4 Memory
ABAP memory is a memory area that all ABAP programs within the same internal session can access
using the EXPORT and IMPORT statements.
Data within this area remains intact during a whole sequence of program calls. To pass data
to a program which you are calling,
the data needs to be placed in ABAP memory before the call is made.
The internal session of the called program then replaces that of the calling program.
The program called can then read from the ABAP memory.
If control is then returned to the program which made the initial call, the same process operates in reverse.
    SAP memory
The SAP memory, otherwise known as the global memory,
is available to a user during the entire duration of a terminal session.
Its contents are retained across transaction boundaries as well as external and internal sessions.
The SET PARAMETER and GET PARAMETER statements allow you to write to, or read from, the SAP memory.
    ABAP/4 memory
The contents of the ABAP/4 memory are retained only during the lifetime of an external session
(see also Organization of Modularization Units).
You can retain or pass data across internal sessions.
The EXPORT TO MEMORY and IMPORT FROM MEMORY statements allow you to write data to, or read data from, the ABAP memory.

So try. It is called Oracle XML-SQL utility and it set of classes for direct XML manipulation from/to database with HUGE amount of features. You can use it from JAVA and PL/SQL (via Java Stored Procedures). It is realy great.

  • In ALV: Subtotals for every month, not for every day, possible?

    Hello,
in my Alv-Grid I have a date column, which I want to use to generate subtotals. But I don't want to have a subtotal for every date, but for every month. Is there a method to accomplish this with subtotals? Thanks.
    Regards, Lars.

    Hi Stembergg,
    1. Its not possible with only date field.
    2. However, if you have one EXTRA FIELD
       which contains the Month
       only then it is possible.
( You may hide this extra field if   u don't
won't to display. But anyhow, u need to
modify your logic and the internal table
and accordingly populate the extra field)
    3. There is contraint in alv
that we cannot use any function for any column value
        for any claculation/grouping purpose.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to find out import & export path for object migration between D Q & P?

    Hi guys!
Is there a way, how to find out export and import path for object transport on XI?
    Thanx!
    Olian

    Hi,
Have a look at these links.
When we do an export of the IR or the ID Oblects, a typical path at which it gets exported in the XI Server is as follow:
    For IR Objects:
    “C:\usr\sap\PI1\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\export “
    For ID Objects:
    "C:\usr\sap\PI1\SYS\global\xi\directory_server\export"
Now in case you need to import the ".tpz" that you have.... You need to place it in the path mentioned below and u will be able to do import it from IR or ID...
    For IR Objects:
    “C:\usr\sap\PI1\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import “
    For ID Objects:
    "C:\usr\sap\PI1\SYS\global\xi\directory_server\import"

  • Need Step By Step MTS Importing/Exporting Info for Imovie '08

The camera I got was a dream. When it comes time to producing it, it is now a nightmare !
    I'd like to just
    (1) extract the MTS file into IMOVIE once,
    (2) extract the audio file, produce & master it in LOGIC or garage band,
    (3) reimport the audio into the video,
    (4) then share.
I tried searching here and google, and the information is so varied and scattered, it's tough to know what to do. To no avail, I have tried to find a logical "go to sheet" even after years of this problem being reported
I'd like to import MTS files from the memory card of a panasonic HC X900M
I imported the 1hour MTS file into I Movie '08 successfully
I want to export as a mov, so I exported to quicktime so I can import again into Imovie HD 6, because I want to extract the audio file and produce it. Doesn't seem like I can extract audio in Imovie '08 :-(
Upon exporting to quicktime, it's showing 450 minutes of export time (YIKES)
Then to import it into HD 6, it's gonna be even more time

I haven't used iMovie 08 since early 2009, but from memory, this should work.
In the SHARE menu, use EXPORT USING QUICKTIME.
In the dialog box, choose SOUND TO AIFF.
This AIFF file can be used in Logic etc.
After processing the AIFF in Logic, you can use in iMovie 08.
Let me know if any of that is not making sense.
I have no idea why you want iMovie 6 involved in your work flow. That is really going back in time.

  • How do I copy artwork to iPod just once for an album, not for every track?

I don't download music. All my music is ripped from CDs that I own.
After I rip a CD, choosing "Get Album Artwork" from the Advanced menu normally works, and if not, I find the highest quality image I can from the web, and copy & paste that into the large box at the bottom left of iTunes.
It appears that iTunes stores the artwork image once for each track, not once for an album, so for example if an album has 10 tracks, the image is stored 10 times somewhere on my hard drive. This is inefficient, but not problematic.
However, when I (manually) select & drag-copy the resulting 10 tracks to my iPod, the artwork doesn't transfer along with the tracks. I then have to copy the artwork & having selected all the tracks on the iPod, paste it in. I have the "Manually manage music and videos" option selected, as I simply don't trust the automatic system. I want to supervise what is copied, when, and in what way. I don't necessarily want everything in my iTunes library on my iPod.
What concerns me is that for each album, the artwork image is stored repeatedly for each track on the iPod, like on my hard drive, not once for an album. As space will be at a premium on the iPod once I start copying more & more of my CDs across (I have only done 9 so far) the point will come where a large number of MB of space will be wasted on the iPod with duplicate artwork, which will mean that I'll be able to fit far fewer CDs on the iPod than would otherwise have been the case. The fact that I have chosen 192 kbps and the AAC Encoder for all my CD ripping also means that the iPod will fill up faster than if I'd used the standard 128 kbps and MP3 settings. I'm not prepared to go below 192 kbps though. My soon to be purchased Sennheiser CX500 earphones deserve that much!
Is there any way to force iTunes and the iPod to store the artwork only once for each album, and if there is, can this method be retrofitted to the CDs I've already copied to my iPod, or do I have to start again from scratch? I've already filled 670 MB with the 9 CDs, many of which are only 40 or 45 minutes long, so I'm already getting worried!
Alternatively, am I simply mistaken about all this? Does it only *look like* the artwork is duplicated, whereas it's actually only being stored only once?
    Many thanks.

    In reply to PT:
Why don't you paste the artwork to the track in iTunes first (fast) THEN send them over to your iPod?
I already do that. Every track has the correct artwork in place before I copy it to the iPod.
I ripped about another 10 albums yesterday. Most of the albums got their artwork automatically from the iTunes store. For a few I had to get artwork from the internet.
When I rip a CD, one of 3 different things happens:
    1. The album get its artwork automatically from the iTunes store, and then when I shift-click all the tracks and drag them to the iPod icon, all the artwork transfers along with the tracks.
    2. As per 1, except the artwork doesn't transfer when I copy the tracks to the iPod. I then copy the artwork from one of the tracks on the Mac, then shift-click all the equivalent tracks on the iPod, and right-click in the large box at the bottom left of the screen, and click on paste.
    3. The iTunes store has no artwork for the album, so I copy the artwork from an image on the internet, shift-click all the tracks on the Mac, and right-click in the large box at the bottom left of the screen, and click on paste. I then shift-click all the tracks and drag them to the iPod icon. They all copy across, but the artwork never does, so I then shift-click all the tracks on the iPod and right-click in the large box at the bottom left of the screen, and click on paste.
Pasting the artwork to the tracks, in either scenario 2 or 3 above, takes ages (often longer than copying the tracks themselves) and a progress bar appears, listing each track in order as the artwork is added to the track, accompanied by the spinning beach ball. The slowness is mostly down to using USB 1.1, but for a 20 track album, it appears that the iPod is storing the artwork 20 times, once for each track, not just once in total (for the album).
It appears that in scenario 1 though, the iPod is only storing the artwork once.
    In reply to Landon Dial:
well first you go to one track, right click and press get info. you go to where it says artwork, right click the image and press copy, then you exiit out of that. then you can press ctrl and select each song you want to have that artwork. if there highlighted then its working. then right click again and press get info. then go to artwork and press paste and it should have copied the image to all of your tracks
Thanks for your input, but you've completely misunderstood my question. I know how to add artwork to tracks. What I'm trying to figure out is how to force iTunes/the iPod to only store artwork once for each album, not once for each track, even if the artwork comes manually from me finding it on the internet, not automatically via the iTunes store.
    In reply to Chris CA:
When iTunes gets the artwork, there is only one copy on your computer.
That single artwork is linked with iTunes to each song on the same album.
When you add artwork yourself, it is copied directly into the ID3 artwork tag for each song. If you have a 200kB artwork file, each song will be 200kB larger.
From what you say it sounds like there's no way to force the issue then. If you have to paste in artwork yourself, then it's one copy per track, not one per album. A serious flaw which I hope Apple will address!
Using playlists is very easy to manage what goes onto your iPod.
That's true, but I don't really have any need for playlists. I want 95% of what's in my iTunes library copied across (complete albums, with artwork). It's the remaining 5% (the odd individual track, amusing audio files, and other odds & sods) that I don't want copied. Copying things manually suits me fine, and I wouldn't consider another method unless it solved the problem that this topic is about!

  • Where is the "import/export" feature for backingup/restoring bookmarks file?

In 3.6x, I could go to the Bookmarks tab and open the "Export bookmarks" and backup up my bookmarks to an external back up drive. Conversely, I could go to the Bookmarks tab and open the "Import bookmarks" and bring in a saved bookmark file. I upgraded to 9 this evening and, so far, in 9, for the life of me, I can't find the "Import bookmarks" / "Export Bookmarks" feature. In the past, I've experienced crashes whereby I've lost ALL of my bookmarks. With 3.6x, I could backup the bookmark file daily if I so desired but, with 9, I can't do it! HELP!

    THX...
And, well, DUH!...I've used "Show all bookmarks" so many times, over the years, I simply forgot what it was called!...I would just go there, click on it and do my backups...When I went to do so, last night, with 9.0.1, I simply didn't recognize it and, thought "Show all bookmarks" would somehow "unpack" all the carefully-foldered bookmarks I've developed over the years...
    Hmmm...call it a "senior" moment...

  • Opinion: 1080 standard / 2k - 4k Not for every production

I remember when HD 1st became accessible for freelancers. I think we all remember hdv long GOP to tape. This to me was the real transition point. At that time most tv commercials were ntsc 720x480. There was a time when you would up charge for HD (even 720p) because of the amount of space it took on the HDD and the resources needed to smoothly edit it. Hooray esata!!
Lots of production houses rushed to become hd only facilities with only a 10% increase in price.
But since the avc codec has came out most commercials are 1080p. So what was next chase? 2k and 4k. The thing to this is that i do not think that everyone is understanding why to 4k. I do not think that 2k or 4k is a default resolution for commercials specifically. It is more for theatric film-like productions. Though there are commercials filmed 4k i believe it is overkill for productions under $20k.
We all buy small, medium and large or basic, standard and premium. In my opinion shooting certain things above 1080p for under $10k or shooting 4k for under 20k is a problem for proper pricing and client understanding of what value their budgets can realistically achieve.
If the industry makes a habit of shooting ultra HD formats for CHEAPNESS/ Low Budgets then it dilutes the levels of productions available. Soon you will have a 4k underwater shoot with a drone shot for 5k. I do not think that this is a worthy goal.

It depends on who you are. The proper goal for a shooter is to satisfy customer requirements so that he can feed his family. If those requirements are HD, then that is all he needs to shoot.
However, I think 4K televisions are going to come down in price to the point where the new owners of these televisions are not going to want to buy hard drives with movies on them just to have something to watch. A new codec (H.265 probably) and a new disc format, will probably make it possible to distribute 4K like you now distribute HD. When that happens, there is no fighting progress. It happen even if you don't want it to.
Are there people who do not have HDTV? Sure. And you can deliver SD to them. But the television stations have almost all moved over to HD, or are moving over, or will move over soon. Do you want to be left behind.
I guess my point is that there is no point in thinking about it being a worthwhile goal. Your customer will determine that. And most likely, some of them will ask for 4K even though they don't "need" it yet. What are you going to do? Give away the business to a 4K capable shooter?
The ability to shoot 4K is getting cheaper and more common. The ability to edit it, will eventually become more common, hopefully H.265 will help with that.
Not to depress you, but the newest Samsung Galaxy smartphone is rumored to have the ability to shoot 2K. How many more years before the iPhone has 4K? Are you going to tell your customer that he can't have 4K when his teenager can shoot it? You know that is apples and oranges, but he doesn't.
