Amit,
the FDK is free! Adobe wants you to use it to create cool solutions. I seem to remember it used to cost $1000 before FrameMaker 7, eons ago.

Documentation on the .ini flags has also been enhanced. This documentation covers maker.ini flags as well as the new flags (ditafm-output.ini), which are related to publishing your DITA content to a professional looking PDF. We have enhanced the documentation on maker.ini to include explanation of 240 individual flags , abstract explanation of about 10 sections that include many more such flags. Moreover, the present document includes information about adding many flags that are not there in the maker.ini file by default.

  • Online Documentation Updated (e.g. 11gR2 Database) ?

Apparently, the online documentation has been updated again.  Since yesterday, I notice that when I go to a documentation page it keeps "shaking up and down".  Scrolling through the page isn't smooth as it moves in jerks (probably between tags).
    Using MSIE 8
    Hemant K Chitale

    Hi Thomas
Yes you can do this, you will need the 11gR2 standalone software, go to the OWB OTN page here and click on Downloads, the OWB standalone software is here.

    Hi,
When can we expect an update of the documentation of the 10.1.3.1 release ?
I have to print the dev guide and want to know if I can save a copy if it's a matter of days.
    Thanks,
    Seb.

    Seb,
We will ship a completely updated documentation set with the 10.1.3.2 release, planned for August this year. So, you can start printing ....

  • Manual API Documentation update

    Hi,
I'm not sure if this the right location to post my concern, anyway, I just installed the xcode4(downloaded from internet cafe that has fast connection) and then I want to install/update the iOS4... library. but the problem is my internet connection is very slow and i always got connection timeout. Is there a way to just download first the iOS 4...Library and install it?
    Thanks

The normal process is to download the tools first, then the docs.
There is no option to pick/choose what you bring down.
Stick w/the cafe if that works for you. Shop for another internet provider in the mean time

  • Request for documentation update: SDK 3.0 Guide

Multiple custom metadata tagset definition tables can be returned as elements in the returned table. The documentation only indicates a single tagset definition table being returned.
I wasn't sure if this would work - since multiple files can be returned, I thought maybe that was the way to define multiple tagsets instead of nesting in a single file, but nesting works, two - similar to the other similar return tables for export and menu items (which you can not specify multiple files for...)
    Rob

Hi, Kevin & welcome to the forums.
    I'm a bit confused, sorry.
iPhone SDK 3.0 - is that what you are discussing here?
iPhone SDK 3.0 is still in beta - and there is no fee that I know of...also no activation code.
You must be a registered developer to download and use the SDK, but there is no fee for that. There is a fee for developers that want to use the App Store.

  • Using KM to keep documentation updated

Hello everyone, on my company a new requirement emerged. As our BW-Portal project has grown a lot very quickly, and because several people here create and edit different types of objects, keeping an accurate record of all objects (Queries, Web Applications, Reports, iViews, etc.) has become increasingly difficult. The use of our portal KM was suggested as a solution. What we are looking for is a central repository for documentation files (be it MS Office documents or others), so that we all help keep the documentation up to date. The idea is that one person accesses the documents, makes the changes (add/edit those records regarding the objects he edited or created), and uploads the new versions. We would also like the documents being edited to be locked until they are uploaded again. How can we accomplish all this using the KM? Also, is there a way to know who modified the documents? Any thoughts?

    Hi Pedro,
What we are looking for is a central repository for documentation files
    -> KM standard feature
access the documents, make the changes and uploads the new versions
-> this is a KM standard feature
documents being edited to be locked until they are uploaded again
-> this is a KM standard feature
is there a way to know who modified the documents?
-> yes, this is a KM standard feature
Just go for the KM documentation [here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/4c/9d953fc405330ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm].

  • Disappointed in FDK 9 Docs

I am trying to update some of my plugins for FrameMaker 9. I am deeply disappointed in the FDK 9 documentation. While there is an FDK 9 supplement ("What's New in FDK") that mentions the new functions, objects, and notifications, there is no documentation on how to use them. In fact, the Programmer's Reference is still for FDK 7.0. To me, this is totally unacceptable for a company like Adobe. Is there any documentation anywhere that documents the new FDK 9 features? Thank you very much.
    Rick Quatro

    Rick,
There are other items of documentation missing also, such as the Customizing Frame Products specific for FM9 with the new interface.
I get the feeling that this was really rushed out the door for some reason, leaving a lot of items undocumented.

  • ESYU: PDOI를 이용하여 생성되지 않은 Blanket Purchase Agreements를 PDOI를 이용하여 update 할 수

    Symptoms
    Oracle Purchasing - Version: 11.5.10.2
Information in this document applies to any platform.
PDOI에 의해 생성되지 않은 'Blanket Purchase Agreements'를 PDOI를 이용하여 update 할 수 있는 방법을 알아본다.
    Solution
Oracle Manufacturing APIs 와 Open Interfaces Manual, Release 11i, Part No. A95955-03, September 2004 documentation은
update가 되었고, 다음은 10-39 page에 update 된 내역이다.
The Purchasing Documents Open Interface updates blanket purchase agreements and catalog quotations
    by doing the following:
First, it identifies the catalog quotation or blanket purchase agreement that needs to be updated by
comparing the supplier document number (VENDOR_DOC_NUM in the PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE table)
or document number (DOCUMENT_NUM in PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE and SEGMENT1 in PO_HEADERS_ALL)
with the existing supplier document number (VENDOR_ORDER_NUM for a blanket agreement,
or QUOTE_VENDOR_QUOTE_NUMBER for a catalog quotation in the PO_HEADERS table).
The supplier (VENDOR_ID or VENDOR_NAME) and document type (DOCUMENT_TYPE_CODE) must also match.
The Purchasing Documents Open Interface matches only to currently or future-effective documents that are
    not canceled or finally closed.
Its important to note that it is necessary to supply DOCUMENT_NUM in the PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE when trying to
update blanket purchase agreements which has not been created through the PDOI.
For documents created through PDOI, VENDOR_DOC_NUM can be specified in the PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE.
Following is a sample script that has been used to load the PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE and PO_LINES_INTERFACE
to update the price of a blanket agreement.

    Checkwriter/Deposit Advice:
Oracle will de-support the Live Checkwriter and Deposit Advice for US and Canada beginning with EOY Phase 1 in September. Archive Checkwriter and Deposit Advice will continue to be supported. What this means is that new code changes and bug fixes will not be tested on the Live Checkwriter and Deposit Advice. Additionally, enhancements made to the Archive version will NOT be made for the Live version.
*Note: If you would like to view the output of the archive version of this report without needing pre-printed stationery, try the following in a test instance:
    disable the trigger pay_action_parameters_ari
insert a row in pay_action_parameters with the following value -
    name=PRINT_REPORT_LABELS
    value=PAYUSCDA
    enable the trigger pay_action_parameters_ari
Run the report. This will print the labels and make it easier to check the report without needing pre-printed stationery.
In early summer, we are targeting release of an XML version of Checkwriter and Deposit Advice.

We need to know the new codes which will be added and which if any will be replaced. We know those identified on the US Gov site but can Oracle Dev. provide the specifics in advance so we can update our Employment Applications etc to match Oracle HR definitions?

  • Photoshop Elements 5,  camera raw documentation

    Hello,
Is there a specific location to find documentation updates from one version of Camera Raw to another? I purchased a manual for PSE5 and the Camera Raw displays are for a version that is older then what I have(Camera Raw 3.7) installed. It is hard to follow with the fields not being the same. Also is there any big advantages to upgrade to a newer version of Camera Raw, say from 3.7 to 4.3.1?
    Thanks for any help
    Rob

I have never used ACR with Photoshop Elements. I know that quite a few of the features are missing when compared with Photoshop. However, if you updated to ACR 4.3.1 I think you would have the clarity and vibrance controls that you don't have now. And there might be some other additions as well. I cannot tell you where to get more current documentation.

  • Java JRE 32-bit 7 update 71 performance issues

We have packaged and are testing Java JRE 32-bit 7 update 71.  We are encountering a number of issues in testing, mostly surrounding performance.
Login to McAfee Web Gateway Console via IE takes abnormally long time to connect (over a minute).  This same process with Google Chrome completes in 5 seconds.  Normal login time with JRE 32-bit 7 update 65 is around 5 seconds.
Also experiencing similar issues with performance with IBM Workplace XT using JRE 7 update 71.  Using JRE 7 update 65 works with normal access times (around 5 seconds).  Many users impacted by this issue.
Access to some external websites fails with ClassNotFoundException (start.jviewONE.class).
We tried Java 7 update 72 and also 8 update 25 with the same results.  The only documented updated features are a timezone and expiration enforcement.  We have compared settings side by side (7v65 vs 7v71, 7v72, 8v25) and do not note any additional configuration or differences in settings.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues?  Were you able to find a resolution?

We have found exactly the same.
Websites such as JavaTester.org give a 'ClassNotFoundException' application error in Internet Explorer whereas they work fine in Firefox and Chrome.  Switching a PC back to 7u65 gets the website working fine again.  Interestingly I did have a VM with 7u71 installed that could still access the Java applets on these websites - but it can't now following a revert to snashot!?

  • Apple Developer Documentation

Hello all, I have download the new Xcode Documentation Update and it offers me and option to index every Java symbol, explaining that take about 30 minutes.
Incredible! Why don't they create this index and distribute this index to users? Last time I aborted my installation because I thought that my system was froze.
Is there some kind of strangle rivalry at the Xcode group due to this new "feature": someone trying to explain it ineptitude.

Actually, I have heard that they are getting rid of the Cocoa-Java bridge. Any new features of Cocoa will not have Java equivalents.
Perhaps there may not be a lot of Xcode Java developers. Java developers seem to be standardizing on Eclipse with the SWT these days.
And by the way, that 30 minutes must mean one of those 2Ghz MacBook Pros. My old iBook G3 took 4 hours! I won't be clicking that option again.
