FDM Consolidations are Inconsistent

Oracle Support is saying this is not supported since it's related to metadata setup between FDM and HFM.
We have a staging and testing environment and there appears to be a difference in terms of when Force Calculation or Consolidation is triggered.
Example: There are two hierachies COAL_V and N001_V base parent. Both of them are set up as the validation entity for two different locations in FDM.
IN the staging environment, when exporting data for a base entity (that belongs to COAL_V) but with N001_V as the POV in FDM , the check report will give an error. The cell staus in HFM for the base entity is CH and for N001_V is CN ND.
In the test environment, when following the same steps and load the same file, no error with in the check report. The cell status for the base entity is OK and for N001_V is OK.
Any ideas why we're getting different results in consolidations status and error in check report in FDM?

You can re-register the applications with Shared Services using the FDM user Migration Utility:
a) Choose Start > Programs > Oracel EPM System > Financial Data Quality Management > Workbench > User Migration
b) Login to the application as "admin"
c) At the top of the screen choose the FDM application group from the drop down and check at least one user and click "Provision"
This process should re-register the app in the FDM application Group you specify.

I created a free text SC and after approval by the manager, the SC was routed to the Sourcing cockpit as I had activated sourcing for the product category that was ordered.
Now in the SOCO, when I select my SC and click on the 'Next' button, I get an error : "The attributes of the user are inconsistent or not defined. See transaction PPOMA_BBP."
I have defined the following attributes for my purchaser
Acct assgnmnt Categry --- (Cost centre)
Acct system for vendor --- (ECC logical system)
Company code --- (XXX)
Cost centre --- (XXXXX)
Del address --- (XXXXX)
Doc type in R/3 --- (ECPO)
Local currency --- (EUR)
Mov type --- (201)
System Alias --- (ECC logical system)
System alias for accounting system --- (ECC logical system)
System alias for vendor --- (ECC logical system)
User role --- (employee/op purchaser/st purchaser)
Which other attribute do I need to define? Is there something that I have missed?
Strangely it works fine if I give my user SAP_ALL profile!!

I did regenerate the role and it is in green now. Still it does not work.
However I noticed that when I ran the attribute check for Purchaser's position, I got the following errors.
Application 'RFx': Assign purchaser PURCHASER1 to a purchasing organization
Message no. BBP_ATTR_CHECK151
Diagnosis
User PURCHASER1 has a purchaser's authorizations but is not assigned to any purchasing organization.
System Response
Purchaser PURCHASER1 (position S 50000015) cannot run the EBP applications RFx without encountering errors.
Procedure
Assign a purchasing organization to purchaser PURCHASER1 (position S 50000015). Select an organization unit above the purchaser and select the property 'purchasing organization' on the 'Function' tab.
I have already done the above, all org units have a function that links them to backend ECC. Why is it still prompting me with the same error?

Consider the below example
we have maintained a material from KG to MM which is not a standard SAP conversion but client requires this conversion as
Tubes (Steel) are mainly ordered in M (Meters) but invoiced by the supplier in KG. Then used in production in KG again. In that case we need a conversion M <-> KG.
This is very common practice even in indirect material (e.g. Oil, you order barrels, tu vendor invoices KG and you handle Liters in your stock
can anyone guide me if there is any BADI or SAP note available for this error.

BCS: unable to determine consolidation area for data basis B1

Dear gurus,
   I have two consolidation areas B1 and Y1 on the same data basis B1. I want to report the data of consolidation area Y1. I created a query which had the restrictions on consolidation chart of accounts, fiscal year variant, version, fiscal year, posting period and group currency. But when I opened the query with BEx Analyzer, the error prompted like below:
   Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
   Error reading the data of InfoProvider ZCB_B1V11
   Unable to determine consolidation area for data basis B1
The row of the query is Item. I found if I activated the hierarchy of Item, this error occured and if deactivated the hierarchy of Item, the error disappeared.
Please advise. Points will be awarded if helpful.

Hi Jin Ming,
Something is wrong with your hierarchy.
In my case items hierarchy works fine.
May propose two cases:
1. Which version of your hierarchy, defaulted 100 or not? If not - wait for trouble.
2. Hierarchy are global for all consolidation areas. If you hierarcical structures in different cons areas assigned to different special versions, the I'd not exclude some controversies between globality and special version pecularities.

Reviews shown on BlackBerry World App pages are inconsistent

I noticed that most of the time, reviews are not shown on my app page. First I thought it might be becuase of the settings(Device and Location) available at the top of the page. But no matter what I set, the reviews are not shown. And even if sometimes they are shown, they are inconsistent. Each time I change the setting(Device and Location), redundant reviews are added as shown below.

I haven't got any response from BlackBerry yet. Guy can you please tell me whom should i contact to resolve this issue? And now, it is not even showing the right screen shots

Secure one consolidation area - authorization question

Hi,
I want to secure one consolidation area within an SAP SEM Sandbox (on Netweaver 2004 basis) for the consolidation workbench (ucwb).
The background is, that i´ll have on consolidation are for traiing purposes with a showcase (that i want to secure) and the other consolidation area´s can be used for sandbox purposes.
I try to find the correct authorizations object to avoid these one cons. area from changes, but I don´t find anything.
Do you have some idea´s, which authorization object(s) I can use for this purpose?

thanks for your answer. But how can I control the authorization check for the consolidation area? Which elements are responsible for this authorization check, that I have to assign to the users, which are not allowed to change the consolidation area in the consolidation workbench, or is this authorization check only valid within the Consolidation Monitor?

Consolidation process at a specific consolidation area level

Hi,
We are implementing SEM BCS 4.0.
In this release is possible to work with original financial statements in all the perimeter and also consider the manual adjustments only in each consolidation unit/area individually. That is, we donu2019t want to use the cascade consolidation process (postings at a lower consolidation area level are updated/considered at upper consolidation area) because we only want that each adjustment only affects the specific consolidation area and not the upper ones.
Is this possible? We do not know any configuration to have this method available in this release.

For me it's a little bit strange requirement. In order to achieve this you just do not need the consolidation system at all.
If you, anyway, use the BCS system, then use the flat cons units hierarchy: a fictitious head with all your units underneath. Do whatever operations you need and do not use reporting from the head, only from the units.

Firefox worked fine yesterday, but today it wont load. I tried unstalling and downloaded a new version. Got message the extended attributes are inconsistant.

ATried to open Firefox browser to read mail but it wouldnt open. An error message indicated something about version 12 and version 11 issues so I uninstalled Firefox and used Explorer to download a fresh copy. Wouldnt install.
Keep getting a box that says " The extended attritbutes are inconsistent"

Thank you for the reply. I forgot to mention that I did run scans for viruses and malware and came up clean.
I ran the System File Checker and it told me there are corrupt files that could not be repaired. I dont understand all the info that I read on the CBS.log, but from what I gather from the link you provided I'll be doing a reformat today. :(
What puzzles me is the fact that all was well when I shut down my computer but by morning there were corrupt files????? Strange no virus, no malware so what on earth happened? The million dollar question.:)

Data Basis & consolidation area

I'm having my first try in starting up the SEM-BCS in the system. However, i tried to create the data basis and consolidation area but unsuccessful. Is there any configurations that i need to do and how can i activate the default list in the system??

If you want to activate SAP delivered example, follow the notes:

But frankly, it will give you NOTHING.

SEM BCS - Error in Consolidation Area

Dear Experts,
When i save my consolidation area, there is an error message.
it is "Syntax error in GP_ERR_UCDTYPE, row 8.880".
The Diagnosis said "Component called REFYEAR already exists".
I can not found "REFYEAR" in my system.
I am using info cube 0BCS_C11.

Though I am not an expert in this area I have found the following information with a similar problem in another customer that maybe useful:
"On the basis of your problem description it seems that you assigned in
the data basis maintenance the `SEM-BCS info-object catalogue` for
characteristics and key figures to the two info-object catalogues (on
the first tab strip of data basis maintenance). This makes the trouble.
Please read the F1 help carefully and if you need an extra info-object
catalogue, then please create one. Please note that the SEM-BCS standard
info-object catalogues are NOT appropriate for this purpose.
F1 help:
"InfoObject Catalog for Characteristics
InfoObject catalog of the SAP Business Information Warehouse to include
additional characteristics.
Use
You use this field as follows:
In a data basis, the InfoObject catalog contains the quantity of
additional fields that can be selected on the Additional Financial Data
tab page for investments and equity.
In a source data basis, the InfoObject catalog portrays the definition
of an external field catalog, which can be used in a method of the
category Flexible Upload, if a data basis was allocated to the source
data basis."
In order to remove the info-object catalogs you can use the transaction
UCWB01.

Unable to determine consolidation Area for Databasis AF

Hi All,
I wanted to check BCS results in BW I found the following errors in running query:
1. Error reading the data of InfoProvider BCS_C1V11 (Virtual cube)
2.Unable to determine consolidation Area for Databasis AF
Can anybody advise, what sould be the probable reasons? I regenerated the consolidation areas, still its same error. Any thoughts, what I should look into.

Hi Ashwin,
You need to specify BCS mandatory fields when doing a listcube from the virtual cube.
Period
Year
Controlling Area
CS Chart
CS Version
BCS Version (or any other custom versions)
Fiscal Year Variant
Group Currency
If you are trying to get consolidated results, make sure cons group is a field for display from the cube.
Also, if running for a consolidation group, you must enter the cons group you want plus all groups which roll into it.
For example, if you have
CG 1
- CG 2
- - CG 3
- CG4
and you want to get results for CG1, you need to enter CG1, CG2, CG3, CG4.
This is why List of Totals Records is preferred.

After updating, pacman said

but when running grpck there was no output.
I would guess this means everything is OK. Is this the case?
In case it matters, these are my /etc/group and /etc/gshadow.

Functional area inconsistency while creating a PO

Hi Experts,
The problem occurs when you create a PO. When a PO is created, multiple tables are updated. I checked that the value of Functional area in below screenshot comes from table COAS which is correct.
Double click on Order:
Now, when you try to do MIGO on this PO, the Functional area comes up as EQSV. This value comes from table EKKN:
I have been told that it should be CAPX in the MIGO screen. I want a confirmation if there seems to be any issue from Functional side first as i am from ABAP.
Please help if you have any idea why this could be happening.

I got this checked with my FI consultant and you are right. The Cost Center Category of Cost center was set as G and accordingly the substitution was setting the Functional area. Thank you.
