You may have inserted a reserved character in one of the fields of the Entity mapping table. For instance, an & or % can cause this error. If that is the case, you will most likely have to remove the reserved character with a SQL command.

Maps updater error on N95 8Gb

Hi!
My phone has 31.0.015 and when i try to install the update to have the new ovi maps in my phone i get this error!
Error
Cannot get enough information about the phone [3].
Unspecified error (1).
¿What can i do?
the version of de maps updater is 1.0.12
I tried to do a hard reset and the problem persist.

Nokia 5630 XM Maps Updater Error Cannot get enough...

Hi experts,
I have unsolved problem until now. I have Nokia 5630 (buy in Czech Republic), I updated to lastest firmware 012.020 and after that I can´t connected with Nokia maps updater (it shows the announcement like topic - see attached file). I try hard to reset and many, many things but without positive results. Is it this problem solvable?I want to use Nokia maps and I don´t. I want to buy Nokia GPS modul but it is useless in this time. It must be any solution from Nokia company.

Error when executing Maps Updater

Hi,
I installed Nokia Maps Updater version 1.0.12 but I'm not able to use it. It opens and reaches the window where is shows "Checking for Updates" but then I get this error:
"Error
Cannot get enough information about the phone [3].
Unspecified error [1]."
Does anyone what is causing this? Was Nokia already informed about this issue?

Error during Map Update via Nokia Maps Updater on ...

im trying to update maps on my n96. but i get an error message. here are my details:
"Cannot get enough information about the phone [3]
unspecified error(1)."
PC: Windows 7 Professional 32 bit
PC Suite 7.1.40.6
N96: SW 30.033, 30.033.098.1, 18-06-09, RM-247
N96: Maps version installed: v3.01 09wk26b02, Map version 0.1.22.103 OpenBitLM 6.2.1.4
Setup Nokia Maps Updater 1.0.12.exe
Is there any workaround for n96? I tried to download an install nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom.sis file from a link in another thread about similar issue with n95, but it will not install on n96.
any tips will be greatly appreciated.

I currently have links for 4 versions of the Nokia Ovi Maps application. These files need to be stored on your memory card on your phone (usually you would connect your phone to the computer in Mass Storage mode and pop the files on the card, then disconnect and install the application on your phone).
After installation, run the application once, then exit. Now you can install your maps.

Map loader / error loading catalog

Hi there,
i have a problem with the "map loader" and my Nokia 5800 XM.
... the map loader worked as i bought the phone some months ago. Everything worked fine. Today i had to do a reset. The map is still working, but i cant get the map loader to work.
After the start of the program and sync with the 5800 XM im getting an errormsg (in german but im trying to translate).. "cannot load the catalog of the 5800 xm"
Thats it. I googled whole day, but found no solution... so this forum is my last help right now.
It worked (today) before i have done the reset so im thinking that its not my OS (Windows7 64bit).

1. Stop all the exchange-related services on the server
2. Open the command prompt by “Run as an Administrator”
3. Go to "C:\Program files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Setup\Perf"
4. To Unload Counter

5. To Load Counter

After downloading and installing the Nokia Maps Updater (and removing Beta versions of 3.0) I have an error;
Cannot update licenses
Missing phone info: IMSI or IMEI cannot be obtained
I found this forum post that directs people to work with the company for license and as I filled in the form they asked for my IMEI by typing *#60# onto home screen. This did not work, but as you can see from the info at start of post other functions like *#0000# do still work.

I'm glad we are on the same version, however my point is I upgraded a week before the release to a beta version and this is the same version you and I have so no update has happened from a beta version to the "final" version. I am surprised at this, as why put out a beta if you are only going to release it as final? A beta implies there are issues that need resolving and that does not appear to have happened for the last version.
I am not complaining, just curious, as I do like ovi maps and speed and performance have improved over the versions. For another topic I only think they need to improve the search functionality as I compare it to Google maps and I can search by a typing an address within one click (Ovi takes multiple clicks or uses fields for specific info).

FDM Mapping tables within EPMA

Hi All
Can anybody tell me wether EPMA can hold the FDM mapping tables?
Also should we create a new member within the EPMA library can we set up a prompt that requests the user to update the mapping table with the new member?

Free country maps download error in Nokia n95 afte...

I have downloaded maps application from Nokia maps support site (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.1_lm_rom) and installed in my nokia n95. I had the previous version in my device was 2.xx (sorry i forgot the correct version). I had India map in my device with the old version. After installing i run the application in and it deleted the old maps data in the device as they are not compatible with this version.
Then i opened ovi suite and selected maps. There listed "Maps have been updated-Download updated maps". I selected "download updated maps". Then a new window came and listed "Install device application" next. I selected next. Then it listed "Checking old maps and voice guidance files.. this may take several minutes.". I waited for it to get complete. After waiting about minutes it showed the error that "Internet connection lost - updating could not be completed because the internet connection was lost.... and so on" Try again. I hit Try again. Then it said "Maps have been updated" Finish. I selected finish. Then it returned to maps in ovi suite. There it listed the same message "Maps has been updated ..Download updated maps" which was shown early. No maps data for any countries are listed.
But there were no problem with my internet connection. I did these processes for three times. All times i got the same error. But there were no problem with my internet connection. I have done these with windows xp service pack 3, and also with windows7 ultimate and the ovi suite 2.2.0.245. My device OS version is V 31.0.017, 16-12-08, RM-159, Nokia N95(01.01).
I hope someone will provide a solution for this problem.

Update error installing smart2go on N95

I've updated to the latest firmware (V11.0.026) and have downloaded the Generic Windows version of Smart2go as the N95 is not listed there but when I go to update it I always get an "Update Error!" notification.
Frustrating to say the least, it seems to be a problem nobody really knows the answer to
I've also tried the following:
1. formatted memory card, tried to reinstall with no success
2. tried to install smart2go before updating the firmware
3. just for the heck of it tried to reinstall pc suite. no success.
is there anybody who has had the same prob? please help.. i'm dying here.

I suggest you open GPS data application to monitor situation.
Go to Menu > Tools > Settings > GPS data > Position > Open > Options > Satellite status > Open:
You will see 5 empty rectangle outlines, you need a minimum of three solid black rectangles for triangulation, but usually get four for lock-on postion.
If you don't get any solid bars by 20 mins your GPS isn't working!
Start Maps on N95 and get satellite lock-on (RED CROSS on satellite icon bottom right disappears) location is then saved on closing application (get message above globe on screen)

Maps updater crashes

I have just got an e71 on 3 mobile. I wanted to download maps of france
I have installed PC suite and that told me i already have the latest firmware on the phone
I downloaded the nokia maps updater which seemed to me working Ok but it failed with an error something like no free memory on phone
now every time I try to run the maps updater it just crashes with a windows application error (I have tried it on 2 separate PCs). if I try to run nokia maps from the phone, i get an error saying it is not correctly installed and i need to download the latest version. I have logged onto the ovi store from the phone but that doesn't seem to allow me to download nokia maps
I have tried reinstalling the firmware from the nokia softare updater application, this works (i.e. resets the phone back to default settings) but the maps application does not work. i have also tried using the 'factory settings' option on the phone itself but this did not work either.
I have just spent 1 and 1/2 hours on hold to the support line but then got cut off before my call was answered :-(
I'm completely stuck now. anyone got any idea how i can get the new version working or even go back to the old version? I want to get this working so i can use the maps on my holiday in france next week

Map 258 Error

Hello,
I am a student currently enrolled in a digital electronics class. As a part of the curriculum, we are required to utilize an NI Digital Electronics Board and Multisim/PLD Maker. When I attempt to transfer a PLD Design from Multisim to the FPGA board, I get a Map 258 error. Here is what I am sure I have currently done correctly:
-I have correctly set the global preferences
-I am saving to the desktop
-I have updated both Xilinkx and Multisim to compatible versions
-My liscenses are current
-The circuit is correct
The error reads:
"Map:258- A problem was encountered attempting to get the liscense for this design architecture

Can you provide us with some additional information.
1. Which version of Multisim are you using?
2. Which version of Xilinx are you using?
3. Which operating system are you using?
4. How are you exporting the file to the board?
