FDM Role not in Sahred Services

I have setup and configured all of the FDM components (Web config, Task Manger, App Config) and I got no errors. I setup the authentication provider as shared services and the test connection connects ok. When I log into Shared Services I dont see a FDM role to be able to provision users against. So when I try to create a new app it fails saying it does not have rights. This is a 11.1.2 install. Anyone have any ideas on why this is not there? I ran through the config manager and ran the config again and same thing. I have stopped Shared Services and still no dice......

In your HSS Provider in the Load Balance Config did you fill in the "App Creation Group" field or leave it blank? Can you successfully create an FDM application?

Is it possible to create a role with PERM_READER_EXTENSIONS_WEB_APPLICATIONS without Service Invoke?

I need to restrict user access to Workspace processes. Using the adminui, service management, I gave my test group INVOKE_PERM permissions to this service. This works good. The users of the test group can only see this process. However, for these users the SOAP calls do not work. I am using a reader extended form and I am getting the error below. If I add the Reader Extension Web Application role, the SOAP call work, but the user of the test group can see all other processes. I created a role and gave it PERM_READER_EXTENSIONS_WEB_APPLICATIONS, Service Read, INVOKE_PERM and other combinations. This role only works if I add Service Invoke and this give users access to all processes. How can I get a role to provide the Reader Extension without using Service Invoke?

I found the answer to my question. I had to give INVOKE permission to all the services used by the process.

I have developed a java web service using j-developer 10.1.2.1, I have deployed this web service to oracle 10g (10.1.2.1) application server successfully. Now I want to add security-role to my web service deployment descriptor so that only a group of users that belong to a group can access my web service.
How can I do this? Can any one please let me know.

I suspect you have a proxy server between your localhost and the
drive-app1.drivesoftwaresolutions.com
Probably in Jdev that proxy is setup nicely in Tools->Preferences->Web Browser and Proxy
But maybe your OC4J container running BPEL on localhost does not have that proxy setup.
You need to add startup parameters to the JVM. In 10.1.3 you can do this via the "AS Control" administration pages (there is a link on the SOA suite welcome page). Go to JVM, click on the container and switch to the "Administration" tab.
The properties are proxySet, proxyHost, proxyPort and nonProxyHosts
When deploying from JDev, the compilation in JDev works fine (uses the proxy). But when the JAR is transferred to the server, it is compiled again. This fails because the proxy is not used on the server side and it cannot read the wsdl.

Thanks for your answer. But We have the next problem:
- The appraisal Self service is configured in portals machine.
- The customizing in Campus management is according of cookbook (apparaisal self service).
- In campus we have created the neccesary escenary for different probes.
Now, so far when We execute the self service with user (sapall), the Self service show the first screen and we doing clik on a event the self service is break. It means in this moment we does not know if the problem is roles in campus or portals.
In the past answer you suggest that we look the documentation for portals. Where I can see it?. Another question, can I debug the self service for find the problem?.

To avoid problems while using the template installer please check prerequisites for post-installation in SAP documentation. That information can be found in SAP Help Portal (http://help.sap.com --> SAP Netweaver --> Installation and Upgrade guide --> Installation --> 2 - Installation - SAP Netweaver 2004s --> SAP NetWeaver 2004s Installation Documentation).
Select your Operating System and Database and look for 'Post-Installation Steps for Usage Type *' in the dedicated document.

ADS does not work.(Service call exception)

According to SAP note 937697 "Usage of SAP NetWeaver BI Diagnostics & Support Desk Tools", when running the tool, it gives following error:
ADS does not work.(Service call exception; nested exception is: com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized. The requested URL was:"http://sapbwd.ni.ad.newsint:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document")
I have been looking into system to find out how to solve the issue, but could not, is there anyone who can help me with exact instructions what I do need to do.

Dear Sahmad,
I would suggest you to check notes 1004321 and 944221. The first one says that mostly of this kind of issues (and I have already seen several ones) is caused for bad passwords for user ADSUSER or this account expired. The second note is a troubleshoot note you can also do.
You can also follow this procedure to check that:
Please open the Visual Administrator and browse to Server -> Services -> Security Provider -> Policy Configurations
In the Components tab you will see the service.destinations policy. Click on this and then click on the AccessDestinations security Role. Modify this and add the J2EE_ADMIN/Administrator user to this role and save.
Maybe the password is not set correctly as well. I think it worths to be set it again. First you have to identify where your ADSUSER maintained.
Go to http(s)://<SERVER>:<PORT>/useradmin search for ADSUSER If Datasource:
- LDAP -> check psw of ADSUSER in LDAP and enter it in SM59
- UME data -> check psw of ADSUSER in Visual Admin and enter it in SM59
- ABAP -> check psw of ADSUSER the ABAP system in the following client:
Visual Admin->UME Provider->Properties->ume.r3.connection.master.client
If you want, also, you can change the ADS by the SAP Export Library, as per SAP Note 1112132. It is very simple to activate and will bypass ADS, doing every function ADS does.

3. Register key for object /VIRSA/RE_OBJ_INFO
4. In SE03 >> Administration >> Set System Change Option. Change /VIRSA/ to modifiable
5. In Se11 open data type /VIRSA/RE_OBJ_INFO in change mode with the key from p. 3
6. Edit structure according to Note 1452772. Save and activate.
7. Implement SNOTE 1452772
8. Restart grc~reear (or the server)
...or wait for VIRSANH patch 12

Integrated DNS role not installed

Hi all,
I installed an additional DC but the DNS role was not installed :
In the installation wizard, I selected the DNS server option in "Additional domain controller options".
After successfull installation and reboot, I had only 1 role active directory domain services.
Could you give hints where I should look at first.
Note : in the installation gui, it told me "there is currently 5 dns servers". I don't know yet where they are located. Also I have only 3 DCS in the domain (

C4C & Lotus Notes integration for service users

Hi,
I tried to find information about C4C and Lotus Notes integration for service users without success. User manual says on Sales both Outlook and Notes, but in Service only Outlook. Does Lotus Notes add-in work for service users similar than sales users? Is there anywhere demo video for that? I can only found demo video for sales (SAP Sales OnDemand Outlook Integration Demo (new) - YouTube).

Hi Aatos,
The Lotus notes integration currently supports the "Field Service" role in Cloud for Service where you are primarily servicing customers in the the field and have direct email communications with your customers. In this use-case, similar to "Field Sales" (AKA SFA Users) in Cloud for Sales, you can receive an email from a customer, get information about that customer from Cloud for Customer via the Lotus Integration, and be able to upload that email into Cloud for Customer as an email activity to track the email correspondence between the user and the customer.
However, the Lotus notes integration does not support the "Call Center" role in Cloud for Service where you are a contact center agent in a centralized service center processing emails that are routed into a common inbox and all correspondence is sent out in behalf of a central inbox such as [email protected] In this usecase all emails automatically create tickets and all emails both inbound and outbound are automatically recorded as email activities without customer or user intervention. The email client for this usecase is either a C4C email client or Windows Outlook Client as you found in the documentation.

a. You can find the actual performer of a Task by using output/execData/systemAttributes/updatedBy/id
b. You can use ids:isUserInRole to test user's membership in desired role
Note that since we have a bug of not exposing identity XPath functions in BPMN, you have to edit the source of BPM. What I did was, create an expression in editor: ora:addQuotes(concat(role, users)) (any dummy expression to get everything setup), then found the expression in the .bpmn file, and replaced it with:

Looking in the music library, activating the iCloud icon and status fields, there were hundreds of songs with the status "waiting."

I am facing one problem related to accounting entry against excise invoice not created, for service tax sales scenario in SEZ plant.
Accounting entry against billing document is generated,which contains revenue account-Debit entry,service tax 10% --Debit entry,ECS-Service tax 2% --Debit entry, SECess Service Tax 1% --Debit entry & Sundry Debtors (Reco) - Domestic(Customer receivable reconciallation) account-Credit entry.
But after generating excise invoice, accouning entries not generated for clearing of Cenvat suspense entry(i.e.service tax 10% ,ECS-Service tax 2% , SECess Service Tax 1%) which is generated during billing document.
Plz. suggest step by step guideline to resolve this issue.

Apple just pulled the update because it is a major fubar! You will have to rollback your iPhone to the base iOS 8 using iTunes and Apple needs to seriously test its patches!
Update:
Simply connect your phone to iTunes and back up your data. Then, click the “Restore iPhone” button and follow the on-screen instructions. It’s a huge pain, but at least it’s better than having your shiny new iPhone turned into a big expensive iPod touch.
