  • Adobe flash player SDK

    Hello,
Can anybody tell me how to get a evaluation copy of adobe
flash player SDK? I would like to learn the feature and
requirements of SDK. We plan to port it to our device. I have
filled the license form but didn't get response from adobe.
    Thanks.

You are running a very old version of EtreCheck. Download the latest version of EtreCheck from http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck. It has additional checks to look for failing hard drives.
Disclaimer: Although EtreCheck is free, there are other links on my site that could give me some form of compensation, financial or otherwise.

  • Getting flash player SDK

I'm afraid I should ask the question.
I and my comrad has requested flash player SDK 2~3 times
    weeks ago.
As you did, We have filled and sent form at adobe web site.
But we didn't get any files or answer from adobe.
We are going to port flash player on our ucLinux machine and
    have requested
    SDK with source.
As far as I have read in this group, many people seems to
    have experienced
    the same.
Why adobe does not repond? I wanna know even though I can't
    get SDK.
    Please answer.
    Thanks.

Adobe Flash Player is licensed to OEMs or operators on a per-unit royalty basis for each device. Not for small clients. You can get commercial-grade flash player source code.

  • Flash Player SDK, license or not license?

    Hello Everyone,
I have a quick question regarding Flash SDK. If I want to
create an Flash-based UI in a console-game on platform such as
XBOX360 or Wii. Does that mean my company have to license
Flashplayer SDK for development? If not, what are my options??
    Thanks!

It is enabled. I am not blocking any ads.
Yes, I have rebooted multiple times.
    I unchecked acceleration box.
I can view youtube videos. Some of the sites I am trying to open are radio station "listen here" links. Here are some links I try to open:
    http://www.edgelittlerock.com/main.html
    http://www.kssn.com/main.html
I click on the listen tabs and I get that error message. There are some other sites we use that do the same thing.
I tried the compatibility view, but nothing helps.
    Thanks!

  • Flash player 9 sdk

When is the flash player 9 sdk to be released?

    Hi,
Is there any current Flash Player SDK to integrated by MSVC++
in Windows or Cocoa (Xcode) in Mac?
We would like to embed Flash Player into our own application
    to achieve the following functions.
    1. Playback and interactive with the .swf file
    2. Re-size, Rotate the content of .swf in our application.
(In a client window of Windows and view in Mac)
    3. Send command to and receive event from the embeded content
    of .swf object
Is any solution to achieve this? flash.ocx is the one to
    achieve the above functions?
If so, where could I find the document of flash.ocx to
    control it?
    Thanks

  • Flash Player Development for Embedded Device

I recently submitted a request for the Flash Player Lite and
Flash Player SDK. The website told me I would soon be contacted by
an associate with instructions on how to download the tools to
build a flash player for my embedded device. Instead Adobe forwards
my request to a 3rd party consultant that wants to charge me NRE to
develop the tools for my target and an expensive license fee for
each unit I want to put the player on. Since when does Adobe charge
a licensing fee for it's player? They are obviously endorsing this
if they have a contract with this company.
Does anyone know a way I can get the tools to build my own
Flash Player that will run on my device. The device is custom made
hardware using an i.MX32 ARM processor and Windows CE 5.0.

    Adamee -
I went through the same cycle you did. I'd like to add that
it's my understanding that there are two components to the costs of
the 3rd party integrator's solution, an NRE, and a per device
license fee. The NRE is significant, but I understand that the 3rd
party needs to be compensated for their effort. I sensed that the
~$10 per device costs were driven by adobe. From a cash flow
standpoint, $10/device might not be that bad for a low volume
design, and if you're moving big volumes the price goes way down.
All around, it's not a bad deal if you have more cash than
    technical resources.
However, I must admit that I'm disappointed that I have not
been able to find another licensing path except through the third
party. I will mostly likely not be able to justify the NRE but have
the skills (I strongly suspect) to perform the port myself. If
anyone knows how to contact adobe about licensing Flash Lite 3,
please let me know (don't call customer service - it's outside
    their scope).
    Thanks -

  • Can I ask for the C++ LIB of Flash Player

    Hello, Adobe!
Can I ask for the C++ LIB of Flash Player for windows.as I know, Adobe never support the Flash Player SDK any more.I want to make a Flash Player, but the FlashOCX used inconveniently. So I hope that Adobe could support the C++ LIB of Flash Player and the Instructions for using it.
Adobe can you help me?I really need it.

Thanks for your reply, Adobe! I am very happy that you have paid attention to my question. Thanks again!
Though my English is poor, I try my best to make you understand what I say. I am sure that you could help me.</:includetail>
    </:includetail>
What I need is not a Flash Player SDK. It's only a C++ LIB. You couldn't open the codes in it, but some interface functions. Actually it is like the OCX, but it is static and used conveniently.</:includetail>
    </:includetail>
    Reasons:</:includetail>
</:includetail>    1. I want to make my own Flash Player in my application.</:includetail>
    </:includetail>    2. I want to use it conveniently.</:includetail>
         3. You may say that I can use the OCX(Your FlashPlayer.OCX). But you don't know the OCX is used inconveniently. The last thing in the OCX I like is resizing for the OCX object. Its drawing speed is not the same as the EXE(Your FlashPlayer.EXE) when resizing.</:includetail>
         4. The LIB not only helps me, but also helps everyone. Because lots of programers ask for how to run the OCX in API.</:includetail>
    </:includetail></:includetail>
Can you help me? What I ask for is only a static OCX and its running speed is as the same as the EXE. As I know, to make a LIB is easy to you. I really need it. I hope that you could consider my request. Thank you! I am waitting for the good messages.</:includetail>

  • Any tutorials on how to use the daily build of the Flex SDK to create Flash Player 10 content?

Is there a tutorial on Adobe on how to use the daily build of
the Flex SDK to create Flash Player 10 content?

The approach you take might depend on a few things, but it boils down to using mouse interactive coding to trigger whatever effect you eventually realize.  The code you use will depend on the version of Actionscript you plan to use.
You could make this as a movieclip that is normally stopped at its first frame and when you mouseover or click the movieclip, it animates along its own timeline to its enlarged state.  If the thumbnail is very small and the larger version is substantially larger, and both need to be clear images, this might be the better approach.
If this only involves enlarging something, you could also probably realize it just using Actionscript Tween coding rather than timeline animation.

  • Can we use Flash Player 11 abilities through Flex SDK 4.5.1?

    Hi All
As you know BitmapData has some limitation for image size and resolution in Flash Player 10 (maximum resolution is 8192) and for Flash Player version 11 and later, Adobe fixed this limitation and depends on OS we can have all type of huge resolutions in BitmapData.
But my problem is now I'm using Flex SDK 4.5.1 which base Flash Player is 10.2.159.1.
So is there any possibility to use this benefit of Flash Player 11 with my current Flex SDK with implementing a restriction based on Flash version with something like Capabilities.version or not?
    Thanks in advance

Tanx, But I must keep my current version of Flash Player and I'm not able to change swf-version or target-player through compiler settings arguments or etc... I just need these feature for BitmapData.
Can I use something like this to check if my object has new methods of Flash Player or not:
    if(myInstance.hasOwnProperty("newMethodInFlashEleven")) myInstance[newMethodInFlashEleven]();
Is there any new method for BitmpaData class in Flash player 11, to check it based on that?!

I contacted the folks who make RIATest, and they did their best to debug the problem. Their conclusion is:
"The stack trace that you posted shows that  ApplicationAutomationImpl/getAutomationChildren calls  ApplicationDomain/getDefinition on line 266 and the call fails with an  error. This most likely indicates a bug in ApplicationAutomationImpl."
This problem never occurred when we were compiling our code using SDK 3.4.1. What can I do to work around this and continue performing automated tests of our Flash applications?

Try linking a Scroller into your app.

  • Flex SDK 4.5 && flash player version

Why does Flex SDK 4.5 requires minimum flash player version 10.1 not 10 ?

I think the question was "Which flex components will not work in right way if we compile project with Flex SDK 4.5 and then run it in Flash Player 10.0 enviroment?"
For example - as I understand some new components in Flex SDK 4.5 use flash.globalization classes - so new spark formatters and ?validators? will not work in in Flash Player 10.0.
        * spark.formatter.NumberFormatter
        * spark.formatter.CurrencyFormatter
        * spark.formatter.DateTimeFormatter
        * spark.globalization.SortingCollator
        * spark.globalization.MatchingCollator
        * spark.globalization.StringTools
Also we have to pay attension to 'string sorting'  functionality - because it could be dependent on flash.globalization also.
Are there another 'danger' components in Flex SDK 4.5 ?

  • AIR SDK to Target Flash Player 9

I'm developing a project that targets Flash Player 9.  Is there any way in an FB4.7  pure Actionscript project to target the Player version, not the AIR SDK version? If not, what is the AIR version that targets Flash Player 9? I know that I can set the Player version in the compiler settings but the earliest AIR version I have installed is 3.6 which asks for at minimum Player version 10.1.
As an alternative, I'm considering using a Flash Pro format FB4.7 project and wondered if there is any drawback to using the Flash Pro compiler? I'm assuming that a Flash Player 9 targetted project would use the newer compiler.
Edit: It appears that even the Flash Pro project in FB4.7 points to the AIR sdk. So which AIR sdk supports Player 9?
    Thanks,
    Chris

Ultimately you need to install the proper Flex SDK and or AIR SDK that has the minimum player version you are trying to target. Although it appears that getting ahold of previous versions and getting their minimum player version is not trivial.
Here is a link that I found that may help:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/flex/2012/05/looking-for-old-flex-sdks.html
On the other hand according to statistics:
    http://www.statowl.com/flash.php
(Adobe's link doesn't seem to give version statistics anymore)
http://www.adobe.com/products/player_census/flashplayer/version_penetration.html redirects to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashruntimes/statistics.html and I wasn't able to find any information on that site. You could Google around for other sites but http://www.statowl.com/flash.php seems pretty accurate.
An incredibly small amount of people even have Flash Player 9 anymore so is there a reason you don't want to upgrade to requiring Flash Player 10.1?

  • AverMedia Dark Crystal HD Capture SDK II (C729) + flash player = NO Audio devices

    Hi
I am trying to get flash player to play nice with averMedia Dark Crystal HD Capture SDK II (C729). But Flash player does not find any audio devices on the system. IE: Microphones.Names is 0 in length. Flash player settings window also dont show anything.
However using Chrome with built in flash player i can see audio device and it works. I have tried uninstalling and uninstalling different versions of flash player with no luck.
    Any hints adobe ?

I have to assume that it's not be exposed through DirectX in the case of Internet Explorer.  Chrome is probably using a different mechanism for enumerating the audio devices.  The hardware vendor may have some tips, but we're not really doing anything special in terms of detecting or blocking your audio device.

  • How to test with the standard Flash player, rather than debug player

    Folks,
I am interested in running my flexunit 4 tests against the standard flash player, rather than the debug player that comes with the SDK.  Is this possible?
BTW, I am working on Windows for now.
I installed both the flash ActiveX control for IE, and the standard flash plugin for Firefox.  I then associated the SWF file extension with Firefox using the "Open With" dialog.  I had to choose a single program, and the browser appeared to be my only choice, as I could not find any sort of "FlashPlayer10.exe" to associate with.  I ran my ant script that calls <flexunit>, and it kind of works.  It launches Firefox, runs the tests, and the results get piped back, but Firefox is not shut down.  Yep, Firefox stays open after the tests complete.  I seem to recall that the debug flash player would close itself after being opened by <flexunit>.  I tried using IE, and the same result occurs: the browser is not shutdown after the tests complete.  This behavior makes for an unacceptable test setup, as eventually the system memory on the machine will be exhausted as more and more browsers are opened and not closed.
    Questions/options:
    1) Is there a standard flash player "executable" somewhere on my system that I can associate the SWF files with (that would hopefully shut itself down)?
    2) Second choice, is there a way to get the browser to close after <flexunit> completes?
    3) or am I stuck using the debug player?  I am concerned that testing management at my company might not like the fact that we are testing against a debug player, rather than the standard one that users will likely be using. If flexunit 4 CI only supports the debug player, is there something I can say to appease management?
    Thanks for any help...
    Trevor

@trevorbutler - Here are my 2 cents, but the group may have a different perspectives for your questions.
Currently, we suggest the use of the CIListener class as a FU4 listener for use when building your test SWF to run via the FU4 Ant task.  This class (http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/opensource/flexunit/branches/4.x/FlexUnit4CIListener/src/o rg/flexunit/listeners/CIListener.as) uses the fscommand() function to send a message to its host environment to exit (i.e. - fscommand("quit")).  This command is only recognized by the Flash projector and stand-alone players, which are thin wrappers around the Flash Player so that it may be executed as its own process in the OS.  Based on the setup you are describing, the behavior you're seeing should be expected since the browser is the host environment for the Flash Player.  When the browser recieves the resulting message of the fscommand("quit") call nothing will happen since the browser doesn't support this command.  If you use the Flash projector or stand-alone players however, they will exit when recieving the results of this command.  The projector/stand-alone players come in two flavors, release and debug.  Release will act very closely to the typical plugin installed in the web browser (e.g. - swallows errors, no debug support, etc) whereas debug will allow you to write log files to the system, show error messages, etc.  Currently the debug stand-alones are available on Windows, Mac, Linux and the release stand-alone is only available on Linux.
    To address your questions:
    1.  If you've installed the Flash Player browser plugin, there is no way that I know of to launch the player as its own process.  I've only had success using the projector/stand-alone player (http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html).
    2.  The Flash Player does have the ability to send javascript to the browser to ask it to close the current window, but most modern browser will prompt the user to confirm they'd like to close the window if its the only open window.  Additionally, taking this approach on Mac, the browser process would remain active until an explicit call is made to the host OS to shut down the browser process.  The Ant task could be enhanced to use the browser to launch the Flash Player, but that is not currently on our checklist of features to support.  If it's something you'd be interested in contributing, let me know and I can work with you on this.
    3.  For the time being the FlexUnit4 Ant task only supports the stand-alone Flash Player (and adl soon), which for Windows only comes in the debug flavor. The only thing I've run into with the stand-alone player is that ExternalInterface reports that its enabled, but since the host environment is not the browser, javascript calls made via this class will fail, consequently causing tests to fail.  I haven't tried anything with shared objects or flashvars but my assumption is that they should work correctly, but anything that depends on the browser has the potential not to.
As far as your testing management goes, I would discuss with them the problem context FlexUnit4 hopes to solve.  The framework is intended to produce unit and integration tests.  Functional testing is not withing the scope of the library.  Although, it's technically feasible to write integration tests which will exercise components similarly to a functional test, tools such as FlexMonkey, Selenium Flex, QTP, etc are much better geared towards this problem domain.  Test recording and playback, using these tools, is typically done using the FP browser plugin and is much easier to use by most QA and testing staff.  At the end of the day, as we're testing our code using FlexUnit at a smaller granularity than that of which the user interacts with in our application.  To reliably test the applicaiton as the user would interact with it requires additional tooling and a different type of testing.
Like I said, just my take, maybe some of the other guys can help as well.
