got my playbook. love it. go canada.
now here are the features i need to improve usability.
allow me to do a text find in browsers. (ctrl-f)
allow me to move the cursor left right up and down by placing one finger in the bottom left bezel and gesturing with my right hand left right up down. its impossible to point to the character i want to insert cursor at. virtual trackpad gesture
allow me to press and hold the number toggle key to let me enter a number. automatically switch back to character entry when i release the number toggle key.
same as above for symbol toggle key
allow me to create folders on the home screen to organize my icons
allow me to create custom banner groups (favorite, media, all, etc)

also...
* allow me to rotate and lock orientation by holding my right finger on the right bezel and making a quarter circle with my left finger (clockwise or counter clockwise). so need this when reading kobo and roll over to one side. landscape lock in top bar is too many swipes
* allow me to press del key instead of backspace key (delete right char instead of left) by touching left bezel while clicking backspace key.

Feature Request or another way of setting an Affiliate up or External Affiliate Software

One of the biggest problems with the Affiliate module, is its persistence
Feature Request -
Using Affiliates to market products and services is a huge business, but the BC system only caters for affiliates providing a link to a specific product (or possible the shop) and it only works if they follow that link and buy right there and then.
Even if the customers buys something under the affiliate link, if the customer returns to the shop a second time, without using the link, then any affiliate reference is lost. There is no persistence nor any link stored between the affiliate and customer.
Therefore the affiliate program does not work for any business that may use affiliates but does not use a Shopping cart. For example I am working on a Property site where professionals may refer clients to buy property, and receive a referral/affiliate fee. We need to track which customers are linked to a referrer/affiliate but there is no shop involved, although we would like to put the commission through as a manual order and track commission payments.
Suggestion: When a Customers uses an affiliate link to enter their details (or buy something from a shop for that matter), then the affiliate is stored permanently on the customer’s record, and can be used for subsequent purchases/orders.
This means that if the customer returns to the shop directly and buys something, then the system can use the stored affiliate link to make sure the affiliate gets paid.
Secondly other business can now add an Order Manually for the client, and the affiliate will get paid. This will open up BC to other businesses that use affiliate systems without a shopping cart. Especially useful for the Services industry.
I also think by doing this BC can remove the problem of requiring a seamless gateway.
Another Way?
Any feature request like this may take time to be set up, if it is set up at all.
Can anyone advise if they have managed to get around the problem and how. Thanks

That is correct: SLBL only works on SMTP addresses.
If I understand correctly, the user wants to prune thier Block List by removing addresses that are not actively sending spam. This is not easy, but it is something that the user can do themselves:
The user can log directly into the Spam Quarantine to see what mail has been stopped on thier behalf recently. They would then access their SLBL through the Spam Quarntine to see what addresses they have configured for Blocking. For each address listed, they would Search their Spam Quarntine for emails from that address. They would then review the content of those emails to determine if they stilll want to block the specific address or not.

[Feature request] Changing the y-limit directly in a graph

Hi,
in the GUI, when using graphs, you can usually click on the ymin and ymax and change the values. This is not possible if LV decides to change which ticks on the axes are labeled.
It would be nice if the behaviour was consistent.

Working collection, not necessarilly pinned - New feature request

Do you think this is a useful feature?
Currently when you are working with objects the only way to keep "non-editing" windows is to pin them.
Can this behaviour be extended as a new node that allows you keep a "working collection" of different object types. The method of user operation that I can see is have a context menu on each object in the node, do a right click "Add to working list".
* Having the ability to add objects maybe from a different schema to the list could be nice. That way the "working collection" is not limited to a connection.
* If this list of objects can be saved for later reuse, it could make it even more functional.
Is it possible to do this as a customisation/extension?

I like your idea of a restore. A ability to restore via a session manager even more powerful (As long as dead/obselete objects and broken connections are managed well).

[Feature Request] Resetting caretPosition on JTextComponents after change

Here's another small feature request:
Insert this line:
((JTextComponent) getControl()).setCaretPosition(0);in JUTextFieldBinding.setValueAt() after setting the new text in the bound textfield. (would be line 180 in my case)
Previously, if you'd retrieve a long text into a textarea (which is placed on a scrollpane), the text would scroll all the way down, when in fact you'd want to see the top lines of the text in the textarea.

Feature request - Support for rewire

Obviously a lot of musicians use Flash Media Live Encoder so I was wondering if FMLE supports Rewire (from Propellerhead Software). I am aware Adobe does implement rewire into audition but what about FMLE?
I want to be able to use my audio app plugins and for rewire to appear as an option as the audio source so I can get reverb and effect on my vocals / guitar,
I would think this would be a popular feature going forward.
Is it possible? IF not what are the chances of adding support? Where should I make a feature request if this is not the appropriate place?

Need security cert support - feature request

The iOS version of Adobe Reader does support password-based encryption, but not certificate-based encryption. We need certificate-based encryption for certain business functions. When I tried reading a pdf file encrypted with a certificate on the iPad, Adobe Reader for iOS said, “The document has features that are not supported in this version of Adobe Reader”. Please consider this a feature request to add this capability.

Iif you bought it from the UAE or other middle eastern country, facetime is blocked at the hardware level and can never be installed.

Better Touch Tool does the snapping as well and with gestures too! so you can probably get rid of that other one.
I agree, it's something that seems to not make sense. on the other hand I didn't realize you could do it until the second year of using my mac. of course after finding out about it I would use it to shrink or enlarge the icons on my desktop when I wasn't using them so it wasn't cluttered.
I think one of the fun things about having the mac are the little easter egg abilities that aren't necessarily written out for you to know but you have the expereince of figuring them out on your own through using it or finding it out as a secret tip to quicken your workflow. Getting rid of this is similar to having a dream that you won a billion dollars and then waking up knowing you don't.

Feature Request: Disable report-level sums if only break-level sums needed

With all my success earlier in reporting a bug and getting it fixed in the same day I thought I might try my hand at a feature request and see how I get on.
Would it possible to have the option to turn off the report summary record when summing on a break column?
There are times when you just want one level and not both. I know there is a trick using javascript to hide the summary row but its pretty unfriendly and the javascript shows up in Excel when the report is exported.
Also, I'd quite like to be able to put the sum column value in the description for the summary. At the moment you can only include the header using #SUM_COLUMN_HEADER# but #SUM_COLUMN_VALUE# would also be useful.

In Playbook we can have a single character password, why not on BB10? "too short" well it is my decision, isn't it?
There is no way to go next/previous while reading an e-mail. Please add these functions.
Add to the e-mail client, Next Unread / Previous Unread.
E-mail or Hub should have more buttons at the bottom in landscape mode. Why keep only three (or four in e-mail view) buttons when you have the real estate. It would be extremely handy if you allowed users to edit which buttons should go at the bottom. Next Previous is really needed while reading an e-mail. For example I would love to add "File" button at the bottom as a shortcut instead of forward, I rarely forward, but I file all the time. Maybe allow users to have two row of keys, add next/previous/unread. Or it could be done with a gesture. How about swiping the account name (top blue bar while reading e-mail) left and right?
When you create a new contact in BlackBerry, it gets synced to all accounts on the Hub. There is no way to limit the new contact to a specific account.
Sometimes when you file an e-mail to a folder, it stops and waits few seconds with no message. Even when it files immediately, there is a confirmation message that takes time to appear and disappear, and the folder list does not disappear automatically.
Messages filed automatically by server using server side filter rules are still showing up on Blackberry hub/inbox. In older BB versions the filtered messages did not show up in the list, filed messages still did.
When you filter your e-mails using Filter / Unread function, new unread e-mails do not show up until you close the filter and re-open. It won't just keep refreshing your screen with unread e-mails. Can BB add a button to the hub "Unread Hub" so when hub shows 8 or 2, you can actually see unread items easily without having to through so many taps.
Native BB QR scanner (Smart Tags) does not work with barcodes (it only scans with no way to use the information). There is Open In function but it doesn't work properly.
We need to add more customs search providers, and be able to add custom search strings/wildcards. For example currently there is Google, Bing, Yahoo, Foursquare, etc..
I hope BB introduces the ability include more standard & custom searches, IMDB, PriceGrabber, Ebay, Youtube, XYZ Forums, ABC Newspaper, 123 Database, Etc.. Most sites nowadays provide search string in their URL Search=?* etc...
None of the Battery apps can access system settings to add a battery icon to the top. I wish battery percentage was there.
There is no way to check carrier/mobile signal strength.
Blackberry, please add the date and carrier / SSID info to the top. Sometimes we just want to glance at the top to see the date without having to swipe.
Please bring back keyboard shortcuts. Since we can easily swipe up to bring the keyboard, just add keyboard shortcuts in e-mail, phone (true speed dialing, dialing by word?), and browser, etc.. if possible. I could always call 1800SOMETHING# now I have to look up the number or use dial pad.. Please bring it back.
Camera zoom function needs to be fixed, also please include option of fixed focus by tapping on the screen to focus. The auto focus in video is focusing in and out to various objects all the time. Stabilization feature also causes tearing/ripples, I guess it is good if you are stationary. Or use Volume Keys to Zoom.
Please allow more than 12 icons in an icon group/folder, I hated Apple for limiting apps per folder, please fix it.
Auto ON/OFF feature is not there anymore. BB should consider Auto DND (DoNotDisturb) or Auto Silent/Airplane modes instead.
Please find a way to stop the music app from automatically starting up every time it connects to bluetooth like car audio. This is very annoying.
No Panaroma mode in Camera app, why not? It is very easy to incorporate. This could be a nice addition to next release, and easy.
The text selection grips needs to be a little bigger, sometimes I cannot see where I am moving them, they work better in Playbook, nice big tabs.
Call Functions, before answering a phone add sideways gesture functions, like swiping right will forward the call, swiping left will answer with a test message, etc..
Or there should be a way to reject the call without sending it to voice mail, phones had this function a decade ago, I don't know what happened to it.
We used to be able to see the "History" without having to save the contact. Now I don't see any way to "View History" of a certain phone number, it just keeps adding
them as individual entries to the log. Now I can't see when was the last time they called me, how many times we spoke which day, etc... I loved this feature in BB5.
Where is BB Traffic? Where is BB Weather, without having to run an active frame? It will eventually disappear if you run too many apps. I liked a little Icon that shows me what the temp is, instead of running a whole app.
There is no Skype. This day and age with all other platforms having it, please either get skype (Microsoft) to cooperate, or open up BBM to other platforms. If necessary, pay Skype to develop the app, then charge BB users for the app. Most will gladly pay.
Can we tap and hold on an active frame to pin it, or can we pin two favorite apps between Call and Search & Search and Camera buttons in the bottom bar? How about Close All running Active Frames app to quickly free up ram?
I hope next generation devices have two speakers or speaker that is facing forward. When playing games or watching videos in landscape mode, I find my palm muting the speaker. I have to hold it gently with fingers to have a gap in between, something I don't want to do when I am on the subway or bus.
Blackberry Maps should have a Zoom In/Zoom Out buttons, sometimes using it with one hand, it is impossible to zoom in and out. (Zoom in is OK but we can't zoom back out)

- ability to choose deletion of an email on handset only
- desktop software working with all older BB's allowing drag and drop type of transferring data, contacts etc. (BB link doesn't recognize my old Storm)
- auto power on/off
- contacts syncing with yahoo & Outlook (almost two weeks trying to work around it and no luck)
